Title No Mercy Spoiler
it was really disgusting. i am not sure how i can eat after watching this. I am feeling really weird-_- the story is quite simple and cliched in many ways. but No Mercy has its own charm. I thought this would be a good light-hearted revenge thriller movie to watch on a boring saturday but I feel betrayed because it was a gory melodrama. Not that I hate melodramas but I wasn't in the mood for it. And I was definitely not in mood for gore-_-
Both the main male characters are really intentionally disgusting and unlikable but somehow were gave a "reason" to do their disgusting acts. Despite having the "reasons", you are not supposed to root for them but rather wish for their down fall, for their misery. And somehow still cry for them. Not sure if it was some sort of sorcery the writer did or just my feelings.

There is a scene where Prof. Kang describes a dead body as a "beautiful body" and says its a shame that it would rot. I am glad he didn't get away with it and that it was not supposed to be something edgy but rather disgusting-_-

Boring, conservative n mild adaptation of a brilliant jdrama.
while i do kinda wish they stayed true to the og version, there is no way they wouldn't have gotten away with it. Kdramas like pseudo incest plots, not real ones where it shows how negatively it impacts people:") also they wanted to make the ML's personality more softer and likable for the viewers to pity him or root for him and to make the romance happen since they weren't going for the incest thing:")

I liked their romance, they had good chemistry, but I really didn't understand Jin Kang falling for this guy.…
Its relies a lot into the "I can fix him" trope. But I think it does it quite well? When I was watching those scenes, it didn't make me feel cringe or laugh like it usually does(in the original one too). Even now, it makes me cry. Also the fact the main actors had such a naturally good chemistry makes it so much better i think. The essence of the story is the mains falling in love and the K-version made the ML much much better from the original one where the FL also falls for him and forgives everything he did. But the original one doesn't justify his actions. Both the versions make the ML suffer a lot tho:)

Title Born Again
i hate how much of a victim this drama tries to make out of chun jung bum .... and tries justifying his behavior
I hated both of the MLs. Except GJC💀 I actually felt bad for a murderer for the 1st time and yeah i hate myself for that-_-

Title Born Again
I wish I could enjoy this. The plot was melodramatic and quite depressing and I was in mood for it. It had a bit of thriller and a murder mystery going on too. Even though I knew it heavily relied on the "I can fix him" trope, I was in the mood for it. It was just like I thought it would be. Sad and melodramatic. It was the first time I rooted for a murderer. I wanted the fl to actually "fix him"💀 But I think the MLs in the present time ruined it for me. Both of them were super abusive to call it "a fated romance". They were quite one dimensional. While I did love their chemistry with the FL, I couldn't stand KSH. I was rooting for CJB to get saved from that hellhole of a family. But they ruined him too by making him kiss her without consent-_- I usually don't think much of a kiss without consent because if I did I wouldn't be able to watch half of the romance dramas. But I can't stand it in a drama where the main couple's love is supposed to be "a fated one".

After CM, I saw people saying that SIG can't act and is just overhyped which isn't true. People started talking more about him after DAYS and he started getting the recognization he deserves. While I would criticize his creative choices which are ruining his reputation as an actor, some people really need to change their attitude while expressing their opinions on a public platform.
As SIG was the first actor I've ever been a die hard fan of, I might sound biased which I am. But SIG can act and I am hoping this can prove his top notch acting skills :)

*Spoiler free impressions* Started out strong but went downhill fast. After it finished airing it seems most people…
I've been seeing most people complaining about that, so I guess you are not the only one. I do like analyzing problems that seem quite insignificant but have a big impact on an indivual or a group like some of the cases in EAW were. That episode was honestly quite cringey for me especially the ending scene. Also it felt quite shallow with how they tried to deliver a simple but important message that childrens should play. Being a minor myself who is supposed to act more mature, it made me cry a bit when I heard what the kids were going through tho and when that guy said that playing after college is too late. Kids should play now:')
The trope of people on the ASD spectrum being misunderstood geniuses feels a bit concerning too like they can't be respected as individuals if they are not extraordinary or exceptionally talented? Maybe i am reading too much into it. But I feel EAW represent autistic people the best out of all the Kdramas. It seems like the writer did research on ASD. And WYW's character didn't feel like an insult to them like most of the kdrama character on the ASD spectrum feels like:/

The legal hearings in a court are not all about bullying, rape, murder, property dispute, political fight and…
I agree. But honestly, i feel that the cases stopped feeling like they used to be. In the first half, even the problems that didn't feel as important suddenly became important to me and I kept rooting for WYW to become a real lawyer like she wanted to be. But in the last half, it just became messy and felt repetitive. Since this is a legal drama and the cases takes so much screen time, they could've spice things up or just stick with what they did in the first half. I am personally more disappointed with the fact she is still going to work at Hanbada-_-

People rate shows so high that i ain't trusting any rating below 9.0
Even 9.0 ratings can be misleading. Last time I saw EAW had 9.2. I liked it but honestly, it doesn't deserve that much if you look at it in a writing point of view:/ Even some of the messages it wants to give out is concerning...

Sounds like a premature PR stunt by the CEO.Sure, he wants a second season, but none of the main cast has signed…
Thats true. But since it was such a massive hit, it is likely. I don't think it has to be an open ending for S2 to happen. They could just give us continuation of what happened to WYW after whatever way it ended because EAW's plot isn't specific and it doesn't rely on a specific case. Its just about WYW and how she deals with her personal and private life. As long as PEB agrees, S2 can happen. But 2 years is a long time:/
On Extraordinary Attorney Woo Aug 17, 2022
So they are going to make a S2 in 2024. I am not sure how I feel about this. While I would love to see all these wonderful actors together and see more of WYW's life, I don't think I have that strong feelings for EAW like I did in the first half to watch another season. This could've been wrapped up in 16 eps with a lot of time to put into character development and relationship growth if they didn't reveal so many plot twists in the last moment. But then again, 2 years is a long time:/

I dropped MSB because of that. I couldn't stand the sml and how everyone including the fl kept judging the ml.
I wouldn't call myself a fan when i don't even know their names:") but their songs and aesthetic matches my taste:)

At first I wished PCH to be BM but now I will be upset if thats the case. If PCH turns out to be BM, then what about Miho and their 16 years' relationship? Has he always been manipulating and taking advantage of her in order to lead a normal life? But I do like the breaking the 4th wall and unreliable narrator theory. Those are the ones I find most interesting out of all the other theories, except for the BM is helping PCH plot.
