Though nothing special is going on in this drama and its all repeating tropes but it still manages to be watchable and entertaining to a degree.

I love the BGMs.

the episode 4 was something else, even if this series goes downhill from now on it was worth watching this episode.

To watch this movie one has to be a certain age, to understand yearning and responsibility and how sometimes you have to make hard choices.

I as a woman do hate these types of immature, cry baby characters the most even in female characters, let alone some grown men. My preference would go to characters like ones in, Not me or Be my favorite more realistic performance of relationship dynamics that could happen between human beings, though the setting are surreal, the way they portrayed the character and how their relationship grew was acceptable for me.

It was a good watch for a low budget 19 minutes movie and actors did a decent job too and it did remind me of a jazz song form Chet Baker, 1982's Almost Blue.

I have not watched this show but from what you are describing this character sounds so Mary sue.

I just saw the trailers for A Moment but forever's anime to be out at 08-07, what I don't understand is why they are going to have an anime out before the drama? if you watch it does it not take heat out of the drama.

Though not the main, he was great in Story of the Kunning Palace too. that was aired at 2023.

Believe me she is way better that how she was portrayed in the story.

no in Chinese film industry and tis story is basically about it. i found the cg unbearable though stopped watching it but if you can tolerate long dramas with cg that is not comparable to what you see nowadays go for it. though it takes a little to get into the story. but it's completely different vibe from the Word of Honor.

I loved Word of Honor through and through, though always wished it was made by a different country though same actors, just to have a complete experience of what it could have been if not censored. A really good story right from the start but for it to be more engaging you have to go deeper into the story.

Maybe it is because it is airing via a Thai media too.

This drama is like going to a five star restaurant and ordering a really expensive dish that looks great but as you take the first bite you find it so bland that it's hard to even swallow it down. All this trope in this drama if used wisely could have created a hot seller but to have turn out this mediocre it needs talent which this crew seemed to have aplenty of. And what's with the voice recording they did for this drama? Has chinese gotten so used to dubbing that they cannot do a good job when it's not dubbed? What a waste of good actors.

I do agree with you some plots form the book should be kept to avoid making it a repetition but it is hard for me to imagine they letting you air a Chinese drama in which the main leads parentage comes from incest between siblings or the way male leads goes around slaughtering everybody like they are bugs or something. One day it might happen but it won't b this drama.
