I loved Word of Honor through and through, though always wished it was made by a different country though same actors, just to have a complete experience of what it could have been if not censored. A really good story right from the start but for it to be more engaging you have to go deeper into the story.

Maybe it is because it is airing via a Thai media too.

This drama is like going to a five star restaurant and ordering a really expensive dish that looks great but as you take the first bite you find it so bland that it's hard to even swallow it down. All this trope in this drama if used wisely could have created a hot seller but to have turn out this mediocre it needs talent which this crew seemed to have aplenty of. And what's with the voice recording they did for this drama? Has chinese gotten so used to dubbing that they cannot do a good job when it's not dubbed? What a waste of good actors.

I do agree with you some plots form the book should be kept to avoid making it a repetition but it is hard for me to imagine they letting you air a Chinese drama in which the main leads parentage comes from incest between siblings or the way male leads goes around slaughtering everybody like they are bugs or something. One day it might happen but it won't b this drama.

I'm really curious to see how the author had maneuvered around all the taboos in this book and if they managed to make a good story out of this novel.

this is the second air dropped drama of these days. seems Youku is trying to use the heat form the newly finished The Double an the fact summer holidays are here to make this one a success even if it might not as hot as the double was.

He seems to have August, a tv show released this year, about his journey through these years of absence as he tries to bike his way to Tibet . If you can get your hands on it go ahead and watch it.

what I cannot get is why does this man Joe really have to go back to his old lover after all the S*** they went through? why if not him he has to choose his old flame Sol? cannot he has a third better option since he got to start a new?

In my idea Zhou Jun Wei is a decent actor with a handsome face and very little screen time hop he gets to play more roles, so we can enjoy him as an actor more.

I'm not saying he is positive but I'm talking about how twisted and mentally sick he is. To do all that and alienate himself from any guilt calling himself a loving husband one needs a really twisted mind.

So far great filtering and color adjustment from the Youku, which is an improvement from some of the series it does and actors faces are not blurred that much.

but did he not make her unconscious before he buried her, he may have become soft hearted in a a twisted way, thinking to himself I cannot do this to my wife, AKA I love her I cannot torture her to death but it is better for her and my family to have her dead since the princess would want her dead anyway. So I may just bury her like this since she'll dies it is better if she is unconscious and unaware.

maybe he was trying to convince himself, he really did not kill her, since she was alive when she was buried.

well he's being a hypocrite, believing himself to be free of any guilt and throwing it on the other people, so he can trick himself into being a good person who had no other choice.

That's a Youku style for you. They always blur the actors faces to the point one can hardly detect the emotions on their faces.

You're not the only one, I find it not very interesting too. All this money that has been used to make this drama and all that well known actors as the main or supporting roles seems such a waste for this uninteresting story. Though I'm sure IQIYI is going to earn enough out of this actors fans but this series is only "duh" in my opinion.

after finishing the novel and watching the trailer, I can see they have made some changes to the story and I hope this changes are for the better since the relationship between mains is so unhealthy in the story and it made me doubt myself if I would like to see the same thing in the drama or not? though after watching the trailer it seems some scenes exist in the drama that do not exist in the novel making me hope Murong jing character is more likeable here than it is in the novel. fingers crossed
