I had spent some time while watching first episode trying to figure who is who. I have mild face blindness so I was going back and taking screenshots to try and put names/recognise faces

So Han-yul was friends with Adolf who composed a song for him. Herot was a member of a idol band who got Han-yul an audition. Han-yul also asked if Adolf can audition. When Han-yul went to audition he saw Herot and others beating up Adolf (i think).
Im confused about Lee won. Han-yul and Adolf are shown sitting and listening to music and they bring up his name as being the composer. Im not sure where he fits in.
I did not even realize that the FL was in Business Proposal. She is brilliant in this role.
Just finished episode 2. She is a good actress because she become somebody different in this drama v her Business proposal role. (unlike some actresses play themselves in different roles)

But to be fair im really bad at recognising most female korean actresses. I think its because they prefer a certain look that meets the k beauty standard criteria so actresses look very similar

I agree. I never trusted MDL ratings but i hope they do something to stop the bot accounts. It makes MDL experience worse for everyone and lessons the quality of the discussions.
On Maniac (if you scroll down) some users have posted detailed AI lengthy reviews amongst the comments. There also seems to be new and what appears bot accounts that have posted like about 15 consecutive comments . eg users WESTIES_214 and loveyourself _613
Maybe MDL should not include or consider ratings given by new accounts (mine included as its new and i dont mind) or accounts that dont engage except to rate one show. Or use some method their better qualified experts can come up with.
And it is certain cp fanbases that are more unhinged. They have created new accounts to rate this show a 1. I have yet seen the same done to Maniac ( Fanboy users here going there to review Maniac and to give it a 1)

I dont have a problem with the show. Its fluffy wholesome genre and it delivers that for its fans. i think its a very successful show and has done well. But i dont consider it a great show with a lot of depth and a quality script

Ratings have gotten so inflated in recent years. And especially thai bls which are rated higher because the ratings are driven by cp fans and not due to the quality of the shows.
So many good quality Chinese, Korean and Japanese dramas with higher budgets are not coming close to the ratings that Thai bls achieve

Number of reviews 6 day ago v (today 23 October in brackets): Police in Love - 31 reviews (today - 32) Mr. Fanboy - 40 reviews (today - 49) You Maniac - 170 reviews (today - 268 ) Fool in love - 12 reviews (today - 16) Crow Club - 8 reviews (today - 8)
About 80% of You Maniac reviews are from new accounts which rate the show as 10. And the ones created (about 90 new reviews) after the score on Maniac changed from 8.6 to 8.5 are all new accounts with an average of 10. There are also a lot of bot accounts and AI reviews on the comment section.
About 20% of the Mr. Fanboy reviews are also new accounts giving the show a 1/10.
