Ikr. He’s had, what, like 2 modern dramas, but one of them he had a support role, the other, it was ok but they dubbed his voice (and the dubbing in general doesn’t sound so natural). So excited to see this pairing though🤗🤗 I’ve been waiting for so long😭

I agree. If they plan to release any content material for XRH’s birthday (just like they did for ZLH), we’d have to wait until about March for an official airing date😪

This is a good drama, what are you people on about? I don’t usually watch costume drams (I’ve only watched Till the end of the moon and Blossoms in adversity), but THIS. This drama and Love game in Eastern Fantasy, have really brought me into costume dramas! Also, I really love this pairing. I NEED Zhao Lusi and Liu Yuning to have a modern drama together. At least give us a happy ending then, please😭🙏

I believe she'll somewhat accept it later because from the trailers, there seems to be a scene where the couple are at a wedding ceremony (?), idk. We'll see how it unveils

The drama’s going pretty well for me I guess. I love both Xu Ruohan and Li Yunrui so much and have been waiting for it to air since I since they were both announced as leads last year, so I really don’t have many complaints😌. I just hope that the rest of the drama goes well - not get too messy or rushed. i just want the rest of it to somewhat be more on the “healing” side where we see each CP strive in their own ways and reconcile and heal. Please, I just want to see healthy relationships and happiness🙏, especially now with some couples progressing well. I do want to see more of the FL’s background though. I can’t really bring myself to sympathetic with her character fully yet. There needs to be somewhat of a “redemption” in her case because otherwise the relationship with her and the ML will feel kinda messy if they don’t open up and talk about the past - or she opens up about her life the two build more trust with one another.

Anyways, overall I think this is a pretty good drama, especially as they give each character somewhat of a storyline, and for the first time, I’m actually invested in each CP pairing☺️. Considering that for both kdramas and cdramas this year, not many have really met my eye that much (aside from Lovely runner, love next door, everyone loves me, and embrace in the dark night), I’m quite happy to say that this drama may as well enter this short list of mine ^^. Looking forward to what’s to come soon!

I agree… I hope it doesn’t drag on though. I hope it’s more of like them both beginning to open up to each other and healing. Idk. It’s very likely that there will be another feud, but I hope not. Even the second couple seems to almost rekindle their relationship soon as well (as seen from the trailers for episode 12). Let’s just hope for the best I guess. I know that there will definitely be some bits about the FL’s family issues (as well as giving some storyline to the other couples), but idk how they will fill in the rest of the episodes. Could potentially just be a healing drama idk. I just hope it doesn’t get messy and draggy

OMG. I just completed episode 9 and went straight to see the previews of the next episodes and OMG. The preview for episode 1😱😱😱🤯. OMG. I thought it may have been somewhat like a “dream” or something, but what the heck. Is this like for REAL??!

Honestly, if it is, I don’t like the look of this. We still have quite a few episodes left so if things begin too early, that means there will be A LOT of things which will fill in the remaining episodes😬

I’m honestly trying to sympathise with her in some way, but there isn’t enough detail for me to fully do so. I’m gonna need to wait for more detail about her life to come out before I can full support her because really, their relationship in the past was hugely effected by the lack of communication - for him, I guess it’s the misunderstandings, but really most of it comes from the FL. Being in a relationship requires trust and all. But I can’t seem to figure out why she doesn’t yet have the courage to open up about herself to him. I guess we’ll just need to wait and see, especially if there’s anything to do with her life and whether their were certain obstacles which led to this😪😪

Finally, someone who gets it. I swear, he isn’t a massive simp he just feels deprived of love. Throughout their relationship, he was mainly the one who gave the first move and of course wanted to feel something from her. So I guess, even now after years, he still feels the need to try and get her attention, but is still hurt from the past.

I REALLY CAN'T WAIT!!!! I've been following this drama since the two leads were rumored to be part-taking in the drama, so I honestly can't wait until it sees the light of day🤩🤗. I love xu ruohan so much, and the fact that zhang linghe is here as well!!!!!!! can't wait to see this beautiful couple on screen soon!! there have been speculations that this drama may air before the year ends, which I hope is true, but we can't be sure at all, considering that Cdramas normally take at least a year before it airs - editing, dubbing if needed, obtaining the certificate of approval + confirmation of number of episodes, etc. And this drama has just recently wrapped up filming in July, so we never know. But looking at the way that iqiyi is promoting this drama, and the heat that it's been getting (even before filming), we can probably expect a release soon.

Dramas like Huanyu and Go back lover are also ones which I've been eagerly waiting for, but it's taking so long to air😭 these two dramas have wrapped up in december last year, so idk why it's taking so long!!
