I think some things may have been lost in translation, making the entire contract situation a bit hard to understand.…
I think that's it. "That SuHyeon didnβt know that Da On loved him instead of Jae Min in college." And as for the manipulation, I don't think SuHyeon knew about this bit. I like how you've summarised the whole college situation. Just one thing. It wasn't JaeMin that SuHyeon beat up, but some other guy (Park JungHoon) who JaeMin hired to take those inappropriate photos of DaOn. Whether JaeMin did this seeing the whole picture in mind isn't really clear for me (that is SuHyeon almost beating that guy to death and consequently having to go abroad, may be that just came as a bonus). The reason he gives SuHyeon when confronted about the same is that he did it because DaOn was starting to go astray. That was the turning point for SuHyeon to call off the contract, saying he will 'protect' DaOn (the irony being he ended up hurting him even more.) Another thing that slightly confused me was what JaeMin meant when he said the contract was still valid, after 7 years and why SuHyeon felt obligated to stick to it until he didn't. Like they weren't fake dating anymore anyway. π€ And yeah, JaeMin's manipulation game runs much deeper than we initially perceive. I think he shows somewhat psychopathic traits. He can't 'love'. For him, love is equivalent to having DaOn under his control and solely to himself.
I like how the last epilogue revealed Da On met Seong Hyeon in the past. Throughout every episode every epilogue…
Yeah! That's right! I read another one on Twitter. That is about the watch in the first ep. How it was something binding him to JaeMin and how SeongHyeon, though unintentionally, was the one to break it.
No .. Idk why but I had a feeling since episode 1 that he's onto something with those nice expressions .. i knew…
YEAH!!! In the first one and 3/4 ish episodes, he is portrayed as this perfect person. When watching the first time, I guess it's only when he so coldly rejects DaOn that you start wondering what the hell is wrong with him. I was rewatching it for the nth time yesterday (I probably need help!π₯²). And the scene in the 2nd ep where DaOn comes running to him after learning that he gave his father money, you can see how JaeMin was very clearly, cunningly, anticipating his arrival. He needed a chance to come clean about that lie (about meeting with SuHyeon the previous night) before being confronted by DaOn about it, which came in the form of that pathetic excuse of a father and took it. And made himself look so small and pitiful (saying how he was scared of SuHyeon, my foot!). Everything he does is so calculated! Man's brain must hate him with all that overtime!
Okay but you know what, I kind of want to focus on Su Hyeon in the last episode, coz it was such a good summary…
I was a bit confused as to why he just froze. He did beat up someone (almost to death) for messing with DaOn 7 years back. I was wondering, is it because he was shocked to see JaeMin like that, all unhinged or because he had a weapon and out of fear for his own life. Eventually, he did gather the courage to land that kick though (was such a satisfying kick!).
Something about SuHyeon. We can clearly see that despite having a messed up upbringing, he is still capable of affection even now, as seen by how sweet he is with his niece. But with DaOn, he CHOOSES to be controlling and dominating, despite knowing how in the dark DaOn is. Why would he do that to someone he supposedly loves!
I've read some comments that Da On should end up alone and live his own life first instead of being with anyone…
DaOn has been portrayed as a somewhat strong person so far. Like someone already mentioned in the comments below, going through all that and staying sane, still wanting to follow his dream and find his real self (as seen in the preview). But poor guy's about to go through more trauma. I think it would be good for him to have someone who genuinely cares for him. Besides, DaOn already said he was going to follow his heart. They can take it slow though. SeongHyeon, though persistent, seems to be patient.
I feel like justitia should have killed taeyong the same way. When you killed other people you did not worry about…
I think that's the whole point of her arc. Her transition to human (which again wasn't something she chose) sure did start with her feelings for Da On but I believe it has grown to something much more than that. You can clearly see the changes in her demeanor and behaviour towards other as well. In this particular case, Da On isn't the only victim seeking justice. If it were for just Da On, she could have probably acquitted him and punished him her way with may be even Da On as the audience.
Now that J has escaped and also judging from the preview, we might even get to see something like that. (I am lowkey hoping for that.)
And yeah, there are some loopholes. But nevertheless, I am looking forward to the finale too. π
So proud of Da On for managing to hold back his anger. It must not have been that easy for him.Got me crying as…
Yeah, he remembered and kept his promise. π₯Ή It must have been extremely hard for him, especially after learning how brutally J murdered her. I also liked how Bit Na gave him carte blanche with J, saying she'd take care of the rest, whether in hell or on earth.
(And it's bugging me! The whole Satan thing looked too easy to be true...) With only 2 episodes and so much left to happen! π€― BAEL π€¦ββοΈ Also, what did the detectives discover? π€
Each of the OST has managed to really capture and elevate the emotions that come with the corresponding scenes.

Which makes his character all the more interesting!
Actually, I haven't been able to stop thinking about each one of them.
It's consuming!

Love your analyses and insight!

And now I can say the same πβ€οΈ
I also discovered more OCN gems along the way.
