not a jisoo/blackpink fan but y'all gotta be joking in this comment section. this is NOT the shittiest drama of the year but why are y'all talking about it like it is? i can only guess it's bc you personally don't like jisoo cause i hate every other drama and i thought this was actually really good and somewhat different from the usual slop
i'm lowkey sick and tired of transmigration dramas but the whole different levels was soooo interesting. i really wish they had explored it to its full potential. like personally i would’ve scrapped the palace politics we’ve already seen through a million iterations and leaned into the transmigration levels thing instead. just imagine how interesting would it have been for prince duan to actually have been from a higher level
didn't really understand the situation between er land and the other ministers... first i thought there was something going on between her and cen jintian, since she said that stuff about staying in the city for personal feelings and the vibe was there... and she was so feely over it all. but then she had the most scenes with li yunxi and there was something about wanyin setting them up towards the end??? idk just confusing
can't fathom how this has an 8.0 rating. it is ASS! and mind you i'm very much the target audience for silly little dramas with a johnny bravo type character... this is just garbage i'm afraid
whoever did the subtitles for this show on netflix totally ruined it. i'm sure it was great but like i couldn't figure out what they were talking about half the time bc of this
The age gap is only 4 years 11 months. Sang zhi was born April 1999 and Duan jiaxu may 1994.
four years can seem small when two people are moving through life at roughly the same pace, but it stops feeling small when those years contain major developmental shifts. for me at 25, being around 19yos the age gap feels sharp, much more than being around 29yos, even though it’s the same number of years. as a rule of thumb usually the younger the age the more noticeable the difference becomes. just think of how different you felt from 14yos when you were 18(assuming youve reached that age), it's also a 4 year gap..
this drama is one of the best i've ever seen but i was not a fan of that last scene, i feel it somewhat plays down on how deok im truly felt about san. i know it's his end-of-life vision but it was unnecessary imo. kinda forces a happy ending where they inevitably get together when in reality that's not what she wanted. her life besides him was at best bittersweet.
i've never seen such a cringe male lead (and i'm not talking about him being a geek, more so the way he behaves like an anime character at 24 years old), but i really like him anyways. most other dramas try to give us a loser ML that's still somehow perfect in every way. this guy is the real deal, that's what makes him likeable.
The Red Sleeve tricks you at first — the opening feels like a happy, fated love fantasy with playful chemistry.…
its funny. i agree with you, its a drama that tricks you. but that's precisely why i found it so special. a fantasy turned so bitter in the end, almost like real life does ❤️🩹
can someone tell me if this is a mystery show with a drop of romance or a romance with a drop of mystery? like, from what's been out does this mostly read like just a drama (most dramas have some romance in them even if they're not ABOUT it) or a proper romance..
