Me, for the entirety of episode 3: "Just give me a hug. A hug is enough for me. You can totally justify a hug…

So is it worth watching?
i would definitely say so! i really like the characters and the chemistry between the main two actors. their are definitely moments where you need to suspend your disbelief, (specifically about the general reaction to koichi being dead), but other than that, it's really nice. the vibe is overall really comforting and the ost is SOOO PRETTY!! i will say though, it seems like their is probably going to be a sad or at least bitter-sweet ending, so if you're not into that i'm not sure if it would be up your alley (that being said though i literally can't handle sad endings at all and i've been watching this since the premiere so rip me ig lol)

Anybody else think there’s something going on between the two teachers shown in the first episode? Seemed like…
I WAS LITERALLY THINKING THE SAME THING like literally why would they spend that long telling us about the teachers and showing their fight if it's not gonna come back in some way

Title Eternal Yesterday Spoiler
this ep was def worth the wait! i'm really curious to see where the rest of the show is headed, considering most of the clips from the trailer seem to be from the first 3 eps. i really like that they spent a full episode explaining how koichi's condition works and just getting that out of the way early on. after watching the teaser for the next episode though, i'm really interested to find out what the state of koichi and mitsuru's relationship is in the present. so far in the story, it's seemed as though they both have feelings for each other, but both think it's unrequited. but after seeing the trailer for the next ep, it seems like they've both already confessed?? does that mean they're currently dating?? that would explain why koichi asked mitsuru if it was ok for the other students to touch him, and why they seemed very comfortable holding hands. i'm kind of rambling at this point, but i'm just really excited to see what happens next! if y'all have any other ideas i'd love to hear them! (no spoilers pls though lol)

Title The Eclipse
this is why queer shows should be directed by queer people! 1000 stars, bad buddy, not me, and now the eclipse are all some of the best bl we've ever had, and, no coincidence, they are all directed by queer people! having accurate representation is so incredibly important, and it's what makes these dramas stand out amongst the rest. i really hope gmmtv continues this streak, and that, hopefully, other countries will someday take notice.

ok i will not lie i was considering dropping after first 2 eps BUT I'M HOLDING OUT HOPE AFTER EP 3!!! i think i was finally sold on their dynamic and the whole talk about boundaries was very nice. i have not read the manga so idk how good of an adaptation it is, and i kind of love cringe jdrama acting, so both of the major criticisms ppl have don't really bother me as much, so take my op with a grain of salt, but i'm really really hoping the series will continue down this path

watched this on a complete whim after finding it randomly while scrolling through mdl jdramas. i've liked both leads in other dramas, so i thought i'd check it out, and now it is literally my favorite jdrama of all time. super witty, super interesting, super thrilling, and super super super fun. i fell in love with the story, the characters, and honestly the romance, which i thought was really fresh and believable. ik a lot of people are asking for a sequel, but tbh i was so happy w/ the ending, it really just tied in w/ all the pre-established themes, and i like that it leaves a lot open ended. anyways, ABSOLUTELY ADORE THIS SHOW AND HOPES IT GETS MORE ATTENTION IN THE FUTURE!!

guys, any link for episode 2 eng subs?
i think the countdown on mdl is wrong, bc it says it's airing on thursdays, but the countdown is set for tuesdays, so i don't think ep 2 has aired yet. plus ep 1 aired on a thursday so i'm pretty sure they're sticking to that schedule (could be wrong though). if i find a link i'll send it over!

first ep shows a lot of promise. i was iffy at first bc of the age gap, and tbh it still kinda makes me uncomfy, but i'm gonna keep up with it and hope for a time skip of some sort. takuya is lovely in this so far, and it's really nice to see him get a main role!

i'm ngl this was kinda ass. the first half was boring and the climax was one note. the fact that so many ppl are comparing it to confessions is kinda mind boggling to me.
