I owe my mother another movie
I told my mother at the weekend, “Ma! Netflix released a new Filipino movie and it’s a romantic comedy”. We settled into our favourite couches and was ready for some mother-daughter time. The movie started, and we laughed. We bonded, we laughed again, and then we did not. Why? The ending.
This story started well with Dee going back to her hometown for her grandmother’s birthday. The FL is beautiful, loves her lola (grandmother), and has a kind personality that draws people into her sphere. She rediscovered the village lifestyle and its many characters who eat at her lola’s eatery. Along the way, she reconnected with the ML, Edong, whom she knew through secondary school. They hang out, drink his coconut moonshine, smile a lot at each other and fall in love along the way.
Simple and sweet. Perfect for a relaxing weekend viewing. My mother and I laughed at certain parts, dismissed at some questionable pacing and storytelling, and gushed at the sweetness of the ML’s traditional way of courting the FL (he asked her lola’s permission to court her). It is, after all, a romantic comedy where it promises us a warm and fuzzy happy ending.
Then, the story changed its genre to a tragic romance at the final 10% of the movie. Once the movie ends, my mother and I just stared at the screen and said to each other “well, that was not happy at all”. We got up from our respective couches, turned off the tv and ate something sweet. The sweet food managed to get rid of the sour taste from the movie.

I binged this all the way up until the last three episodes, and up until that point, I was totally enthralled and invested. Then I came back for the last three eps and realized how silly the story is. Some dramas are incredibly good at creating forward motion and sucking you into that forward motion, without ever having to tell a real story, and I think that's the case with this drama. There's not a lot you haven't seen before. Girl gets dumped by her boyfriend; old friend shows up suddenly and decides to help her get her boyfriend back; as they spend time together, feelings develop; girl successfully gets boyfriend back, but by then she's completely over him; old friends almost girlfriend comes back, and now he feels obligated to stay with her; leads avoid telling each other how they feel because they think they're both in love with other people; the secondary romantic leads plan out their lives with the leads, and the leads go along with it even though there's no logical reason to; the leads Finally break it off with the secondary leads in the final quarter of the story but Still don't tell each other how they feel. And yes, there's an unnecessary time jump in the last episode.
But there is a happy ending, so I guess that's a good thing.
It's really just...nothing to write home about.
The relationship conflicts do start off fairly believable. But they quickly become irritating. Initially, it's understandable why Jae Won feels so conflicted after his almost girlfriend comes back. They were basically 'spoken for' with each other at the beginning of the story, so his feelings of obligation to her make sense. They genuinely liked each other once, to the point of each of them privately contemplating getting married. But the drama doesn't give us any sort of compelling backstory to their relationship and why it would make sense for them to possibly be together over the main couple, or alternatively, why it wouldn't. Of course, almost girlfriend eventually ruins herself as a character by being incredibly selfish later on, and you feel absolutely No sorrow for her and the situation she's in anymore, but before that happens, you can understand Jae Won's dilemma. (The whole thing also makes him look a little bit like a dick for basically promising himself to someone and then as soon as she leaves for a little while, falling for someone else, but I don't really have the energy to tackle that right now.)
But Eun Woo has no excuse for why she went along with her Ex' obnoxious plans for them to get back together, and to get Married, no less. 1) They broke up because he cheated on her (which he continues to do after they get back together, although she never finds out, so it's never actually addressed). 2) There is no reason, character-wise or story-wise, for him to want to get married to anyone when he obviously likes playing the field so much and doesn't appear to have any sort of genuine feelings for Eun Woo. 3) He's unendurably selfish and boring and honestly quite unintelligent. And most importantly, 4) SHE DOESN'T LIKE HIM ANYMORE!!!! Like, I get stuffing her feelings for Jae Won down, because she thinks that he's in love with someone else, but why does that mean your only option is marrying your awful ex whom you don't even like???? There is the option of....simply not doing that.
Again, like I said in my round-up of the story in the second paragraph, they do both eventually break things off with the secondary leads, but not until after what felt like an eon of just going along with whatever the secondary leads had to say. It's just silly and unnecessary and stupid.
This is the second project I've seen Jin Ki Joo in, the first being Secret Life of My Secretary, and she really excels in these cute, aegyo-like roles. (So much so that I really don't even want to see her play more serious characters, because I like her style of aegyo so much.) This is the first project, however, I've seen Hong Bin in, and he alternates between passable (usually whenever his character is being more sad and serious, and I honestly found some of those moments kinda cringey to watch) and quite enjoyable ( mostly whenever he's engaging in banter with Jin Ki Joo). Ki Joo definitely carries this drama and is probably the main reason, outside of how good the production team was at creating that forward motion I mentioned, for why I ended up finishing this.
So yeah. This is a cute, if generic and cliché and occasionally cringey story; good for a quick binge when you need some fluff, but not really something you'll find yourself grabbing when looking for something with substance.

Solid Production with an Exceptional cast!
A lighthearted and not too serious dramatization about family & work life, My Treasure is one of the better directed & grounded tv shows in terms of family drama standards. It does not feel like a typical sitcom. All the sets and places are real which creates that real ambience city-life workplace setting. The heart of the story is Dong Na, the main protagonist who is a fresh out of college student finding employment in a professional work environment at an accounting firm.Vicky Chen is charming. One of the more skillful actresses her age even with a cast of veteran actors, her acting ability holds up so well. She has an incredibly good onscreen presence with her costars. She portrays Dong Na with a lively energy without it being over the top & has a natural presence both in acting & line delivery. Vicky Chen hits every beat. Dong Na is great example of a proactive protagonist, not just reactive who is up for any ventures. She is headstrong, smart, stubborn, and goodwilled who always finds a plausible solution to everyday problems in her life. She draws strength & knowledge from people around her, specifically her mother Qiu Xiao Xia.
Roy Chiu is charismatic as an unconventional type-boss figure, both in mannerism & speech to his appearance. He conveys emotions well through body gestures & facial expressions. He knows how to sell that image of Gu Fei who’s rational, capable, and honest who knows how to handle and take care of business and people, specifically in regards to Dong Na. Although Gu Fei falls into the trope of a male character with a tragic past, his trauma doesn’t hinder his efficient work ethics and professionalism in the workspace.
The drama builds ups great relationship between female characters. One of the major core relationships of the story is Dong Na & her mother Qiu Xiao Xia. Vicky Chen and Liu Min Tao portrays the daughter and mother relationship duo so well it is believable. Dong Na’s relationship with her boss Cheng Fan Yang starts from a cold-shoulder iciness to a warm almost maternal-like bond between the two. Her love-hate ‘frenemy’ relationship with Chu Ning, her college classmate, is hilarious & somewhat endearing. Their bickering towards each other is great throughout.
Dong Na forms a significant relationship with Gu Fei. There are memorable scenes between two from amusing banter and in-depth conversations in casual settings that doesn’t feel hollow, repetitive, or redundant. Dong Na & Gu Fei has a great momentum onscreen together with witty, heartfelt, & engaging dialogue. Their mentor-mentee relationship is a standout, both navigating through their uncertainties & trouble all while consoling the other when needed. I was wholeheartedly surprised by the chemistry and their unconditional support for each other. Dong Na and Gu Fei’s mutual and platonic sides of their relationship is more intimate and profound than any romance. The relationship develops & unfolds with such a natural progression. It has been a while since I enjoyed a relationship between a female and male character onscreen that does not make me want to pull my hair out.
My only gripe-issue is the romance. I don’t have anything against romance between the characters themselves but because the age difference between the actors. WenQi was a minor and Roy Chiu was an adult. The presentation of the romantic apsect towards the last few ep was awkward to watch. The story could have gone easily without any romance.
One of the strong suite is the dialogue, specifically in the conversations. The writer did a fantastic job creating a natural essence between the characters in the way they act, feel, and talk. Even with their appearances, nothing is overdone or gaudy. Besides the exceptional cast, the directing style is great. It is shot from a distant and at certain times from a wide-panoramic like angle which allows an immersive viewing of the characters within the environment they are placed in. It does not have those near close up shot that feels overly melodramatic. The comical sound effects is befitting to the drama’s humor. The last few episodes were a bit lackluster, in terms of its direction of the story. I like where the story was heading but not necessarily the execution in its writing. Cheng Fan Yang’s storyline in relation with her husband is the weakest since it is stagnant throughout the drama up until the end.
All in all, the drama had great moments between the characters. If you enjoy a more character driven-relationship type of drama with a hint of slice of life and humor that ends on a positive note, this is a good one to watch. There are definite tropes here and there but its not done in an overt exaggerated way in the usual family drama fashion.

I watched this series because of Jun but in the end fell in love with the entire cast.
It's a light hearted high school love drama which leaves a smile on your face at the end of the drama.
I'm proud of Jun's acting here and will support his acting career no matter what!🫶🏻

Story: [10/10] I most often give 10s to dramas in this category when the show has a very complex plot, or when it tells a very good story about a particular topic. I.e. the best romance will get a 10, or the the best melodrama that I've ever seen will get a 10. I admit that originally the idea of a mom kidnapping a child did not sound too appealing to me. However, I saw that the MDL community gave this show a 9.2. It made me curious enough to watch the show. Now I understand why the show received the score that it did. I mean this show honestly threw so many different k-drama show topics into the show as well. It had a little bit of medicine, news reporting, courtroom drama, crime, and a rich family all thrown into one show. The end result was a show with a delicate and complex story about how a woman kidnaps a girl and their journey through the kidnapping as well as what happens afterwords. The story honestly had a great beginning, middle, and end. My favorite part was probably the last third of the story. I think I cried like 4 times in the last two episodes for multiple reasons.
Acting/Cast: [11/10] Oh my goodness. I simply loved the character/family in this drama!!! So much that I give them an extra bonus point in this area! I generally watch shows with famous actors/actresses that I really like. I originally was not too interested in the cast. However, as the show went on, I begin to fall in love with all the characters. I'm not sure if it's the acting, or if it's the great plot... However it seemed that each character had their own motive. They were not evil because they were simply born evil. Rather almost each of the main characters had their own pasts (whether it be told in detail or not) that helped dictate and show us why they acted the way they did in the drama. We also see a decent amount of character development in the drama as well, although I definitely missed out on some of it because the drama ended up being so detailed. In a way, I almost wish some of these characters with their character traits, could be part of my family as well. I loved the character Kang Soo Jin for her love of her daughter, as well as for the sacrifices she made for her family. I loved Kim Hye Na/Yoon Bok because she was so dang cute and because she has a lot of street smarts for a 9-year old. I loved Hyun Jin who always strives to seek the truth, who's somewhat of a stoic. I love the Yi Jin character because she was a little snobby, but in the end she cared for her family. I loved the Yeong Shin character for her great charisma in the drama, as well as what she did for her three daughters. Heck I even took pity on the villains because I understood why they acted in such a way. All in all, it seemed like each character had their own specific role or archetype in drama. They weren't just cookie-cutter characters that all had similar motives. Each character was complex, very realistic, and generally very easy to relate with. I have a new found respect for some of these actors/actresses and I plan to watch them in future dramas.
Music: [8/10] Honestly this is the generic score that I give to each drama for it's music score. The drama usually gets a 9 or a 10 if it had great OSTs or amazing instrumental. This was honestly the only area that I could find to deduct points. Honestly though, I don't watch dramas for the music (unless it's a music-themed drama). If I was MDL, I'd probably take music out of the reviews. Then it would allow me to give this drama all 10s!!!
Rewatch Value: [10/10] I am often very reluctant to give a high rewatch value score to dramas. Most shows are a one and done thing for me because of their length. The only other shows that I can remember rewatching was Code Geass and Angel Beats which are two of my most favorite animes of all time. I personally plan to add Mother to my list of favorite k-dramas of all time. The 10/10 cast and plot leaves me wanting to rewatch the show. There was so much in this show, that I want to rewatch in order to make sure I didn't miss anything.
Okay, so overall this averages out to be about 9.75. I'm going to round up and give this show a 10 based on the fact that this is probably one of the best k-dramas out there up to date. I would recommend everyone on MDL to watch this drama. This would probably be the first show I'd recommend to anyone who wants to get into K-dramas. I was reluctant to watch this show at first, but it's now my all time favorite. Mother is #1!

It's a cute and fun love story about a girl who is very fat but has a beautiful voice. The first thing I didn't like about it was that she was not ugly, she was just fat (which a diet could 'cure') but no; to make the 'renovation' to her new self she (like most of koreans) decided to make a thousand plastics, changing completely who she was (to the point of taking a new identity).
After altering her physical looks she had to change her mentality and way of thinking that she was no longer the ugly (only in her head) and fat girl but the hot woman.
I must say I actually I like her way more before the transformation because (in my point of view) she became like everyone else (even the girls she hated before the transformation) and was not her unique self anymore.
For this movie I suggest you watch it and make your own opinion.

I've always been a huge fan of Slice of life so that's only natural this drama grabbed my attention. The title itself was enough to convince me to start it as soon as I have time, not to mention Takenouchi Yutaka's presence and the family theme , I knew this was for me just by looking at the synopsis. Furthermore We hardly see in dramaland a father taking care of a child by himself and what he has to go through without a wife's help.Certainly this drama came right on time, exactly when I felt so sad, it warmed my heart because it gives hope to people, it tells them they can do anything as long as they have faith.
You know why I loved this drama ? This is simple : because it brought me many emotions and only Slice of Life can do that to me and that's also why I always give them the highest rating, they never disappoint at least the ones I pick, I talked about emotions, we can not watch this drama and feel nothing this is impossible unless of being insensitive. And OMG the music was perfectly fitting for the emotional scenes , it played with my emotions, ah those Japanese are so good!
Kazoku is very different from the other dramas, this one focuses more on a father trying to raise a child as I said before, and us, as citizens we are preconceived to think that only the mother takes care of the children and that she's the one who has to take care of the house, but we have to get out of our heads that the chores are not limited to her, a father can also work outside and lend a hand, right? And that's precisely what Ryohei wants to prove, not only to him but to his wife, his son and friends. So Why not let him do his role ? And to me he was shining as a father, he was doing his best in raising Yuto : preparing him bentos every morning, taking him to Kindergarten, playing outside even goin' to the restaurant. Everyone around him witnessed all the efforts he put for his child and that was so beautiful. This drama shows us what a father-son bond should be and I felt it. Of course, only by himself with the long days he has at work he could not be 24 hours a day with his son, so one Man "Saeki Shinji" and this man is the Man, the nicest one ever, the one who will never resent others no matter bad things people could have done to him; the one who will always stay true to himself and help the ones in need. My point here is to say that Shinji was next to Ryohei and was willing to stay with his son when he was not able to come to the kindergarten and pick him up. He did it with great pleasure and not asking something in exchange, this is the kind of man he is and unfortunately there are not enough like him in this vast wolrd T_T .
I see Shin-chan ( I'm sorry I think that Yuto influenced me because I love calling him that way too) as a Wise man because all what he says is for others good, even if others disagree with him, he will only tell these things in order to help them, he never intends to harm people around him. He said so many beautiful words that deeply touched my heart, I think I'll keep them in mind for a long long time. I'll have so many things to say about this Oji San, he is one of the most generous character I've ever seen up until now but I think that I said enough. If you want to know what I felt about him just go watch the drama and you will only have admiration for him because he is a man of honor.
Spoiler Alert ///////// Now it's time to talk about the kid, I laughed when I discovered that the best friend he was talking about to his father was none other than Shin chan a 61 years old man, an Oji san.ahah !
Yuto is one true awesome cute kid, he is so smart and always able to see that something is wrong with his parents, this poor little thing always felt guilty when his parents were having an argument I felt bad for him.
And what suprised me the most about Yuto is that he only asks the right questions, as if he sensed when something went wrong between his parents.
I have mixed feelings about Satomi (Yuto's mother), because I could not understand why she absolutely wanted to get a divorce, it's not as if her husband was a jobless man who leaved them behind, he did not work that much because he loved it. to me he did all that to ensure them financial support. Maybe he should have shown them a father's presence and have activities with them, on that I agree and yes he did not do his part as a father and husband at the beginning. I litterally cried when I heard about the apple tree story, that was so touching and we could see in Ryohei's eyes that he was so sorry for not being able to be with them and pick apples like he promised to his wife.
What pissed me off the most, is that she was the only one who did not wanted to see that he really made efforts to become the father he was not before and said he could not change, she was totally wrong, ah I'm kind of crazy sometimes so I was in front of my screen yelling at her. \\\\\\\\\ End of spoiler
To sum up in one sentence, this drama is full of reflexions about life, it will bring tears to the most emotionals because everything in this drama is meaningful :p
REWATCH VALUE is a full 10 because I know that everytime I feel sad this one will give me courage.
Oh and I can recommend 'Woman" & "Tonbi" with the same theme, they also deal with a single parent trying to raise children to the best of their abilities and they are also true masterpiece (of course that's only my opinion).

I'm so mad, I had to come here and write my first review ever.
I wouldn't be so mad if this series hadn't roped me in with a lovely concept. I love a capable modern girl being sucked into an ancient world and having to adapt. I love a found-family-style ragtag group of young people out here fighting crime and solving mysteries. I love that they're all fully fleshed out characters with their own talents and challenges and even backstories. This was all off to a great start, and I will say that in watching a 4 hour compilation video of the series, I was on board for the first 3 hours. It's that last hour that brings me here.Without giving any spoilers, I can tell you that last hour was truly unhinged. I'm a smart person, and I was more confused than a chameleon in a bag of skittles. The plotline diverges so intensely that it leaves plot twist territory altogether and goes into a full on plot tornado where nothing makes sense, no explanations are offered, and the audience is just sitting there for an hour questioning not only what in the world is going on in this story, but also our life choices in general.
Concept was great. Acting was great. I'm not a music person so I hold a neutral opinion of the soundtrack. I'm angry about the writing. If I could, I would press charges against whoever wrote the last quarter or so of the series.
I recommend the first three quarters of this series. After that, guys, you're on your own. Hope this helps.

Started off awesome and fizzled coming closer to the end
Before I begin, I want to put a disclaimer and state that what I am writing here are my views and what I personally thought about this series. Some of you may not like it. That does not give you the right to try to come at me with your opinions on why this series should get a better score and why it is better than I think it is. You have your own opinions, and I have mine. Kindly resepct that. So, this series, when I first saw it, I was not that excited to watch it as it has one couple (Jong/Dunk) whose other previous series did not impress me much. But I still decided to watch it for First/Khaotung, as I am always impressed with their acting and chemistry from their many previous series. So, imaging my shock at how blown away I was with Jong/Dunk and their characters Fadel and Style in 'The Heart Killers.' They were basically scene stealers when they were being shown to us, and I was going along for the ride with these four crazy dudes and what would be the outcome for them.
Now, in all honesty, I enjoyed all the episodes coming up to even episode nine, part one. After that, I felt like the series was fizzling out for me, and they honestly were trying to find a way to complete the series. I felt chaeated out from what I was expecting of them to do with the bad guy, especially the impact this bad person had on their lives. I felt that the bad guy should have gone through more horrible things than what was presented to us.
The music was awesome in this series, and no one can change my mind about that. The time jumps shockingly did not annoy me as much as they usually do, so that's a plus as well. The suggested overall rating that is being given to me is an 8.5. But, in all honesty, this series personally feels to me like a 7.9, so I will give it an 8. It could have been higher if those few episodes were just a little bit better.

The Progress of a Newly Gaming Company Plus Cute Romance Between Our Leads
The title of this drama is Sweet Games but I would define it as "Sweet" because of our lead couple being so adorable during their times together. Great amount of chemistry between our leads and the connection between An Ran and Yan Yue. "Games" because the plot revolves around the gaming company; the struggles, to success, to another problem, before finally reaching their goal. My personal favorite is the monologues each episode feature that either Yan Yue or An Ran was monologuing because it was something each have learned about their life, as they were narrating, since it revolved around their life. While it does have a few things I wish would've been better, I still considered this as one of my C-drama favorites for 2023.Story:
What was great for me:
* Now while some people may find the gaming company part uninteresting, I personally like seeing the growing of a gaming company, who's creating their first gaming app. The success and struggles they faced and finding solutions to their struggles. I mean there's even an episode where it shows how An Ran met with each of her team members and formed her gaming company. It just gives you a feel of how important they were to her as she was to them and I appreciated that.
* The history between An Ran & Yan Yue: I love the flashbacks of their small meetings. It was cute even though it was just a one-sided crush at the time. Then we go to the present time, where he still likes her all of these times and for An Ran to gradually fall in love with Yan Yue, seeing that he's not just some young person with a crush on her, but a person who genuinely loves and cares for her.
* Great supportive teammates & friends for both An Ran & Yan Yue. An Ran's childhood friend actually remains as a friend and not a love interest. Big plus to this drama!
* Their parents while realistic at first questioning their relationship, also are supportive of their relationship.
What lost points for me:
* Yan Yue had a story of his past trauma but this seemed like it was brushed off, so he didn't have much of story focus despite seeming like his character suffered a lot in this drama.
* Hated the breakup part. This drama couldn't avoid the typical C-drama break up cliche. For how this drama was, the breakup part wasn't necessary at all.
* The problem revolving about the copyright issue causing a big mishap for Yan Yue just didn't make sense for me. It seemed a bit random in a way where it was thrown in there as a random problem. It would've made more sense to me if that finding the voice show, Yan Yue was a judge in, caused the problem for Yan Yue than the copyright issue, just because they were getting frustrated with Yan Yue
* No reason why that hacker decided to ruin Gaishi Unparalleled mobile game and other smaller gaming company. Like what was his motive for doing this? Just being a bully to new gaming companies? Make at least some connection otherwise this just felt like a random last minute bad guy.
Although there was this 1 particular English song I wasn't a fan of, music wise, it was great overall. Love the intro and outro songs.
Overall, it's our leading couple that stole the spotlight for this drama. I just love every moment they were together. WinWin's adorable smile really made each scene even more lovable, the important side characters were always supportive, and most importantly, a great happy ending.

This was a noona romance but it didn't feel like it and I'm glad it didn't! Because I'm not much of a fan of noona romances. It was a typical chaebol romance story. It reminded me a lot of Bridget Jones... But this drama was very... real. Like, the story and the characters were very life-like. And while I do like real, relatable characters, these characters seemed too real. Too flawed. I see enough of that in real life, I don't want my drama characters to be selfish and so complicated as well.
I honestly don't know how to review this drama... I'll just list down the things I liked and the things I didn't like.
Things I liked:
The story was, in a way, interesting. I didn't like the plot repetition and some things were pretty unbelievable. But the story was still interesting enough to keep me watching
Henry. He was honestly my favorite character. He was funny and so adorable and I was rooting for him from the beginning!
The restaurant staff. The were funny and I really liked them.
Sam Soon's sister. I really liked her! She genuinely cared about her sister. Plus her relationship with that Bon Apetit chef was funny.
The kisses! This drama had, if not the best, then some pretty good kiss scenes. And the chemistry between the lead couple wasn't bad either. Though, Jin Hun and Hee Jin looked better together.
Things I didn't like:
Jin Hun. I love Hyun Bin! And I really tried to like his character. But I couldn't. He was selfish and I couldn't accept his actions, whatever the reason.
Sam Soon. People say she stood up for herself and was a strong character. Yeah, she did have a backbone sometimes. For like, 0.1 seconds. I really liked her when she did stand up for herself and was cheering for her. But then she would throw away her self respect and do something that made me so mad at her!
Hee Jin. The main reason why I didn't like her is because she couldn't see how amazing Henry was. I also didn't like her because everyone said she was strong but to me she seemed weak.
The violence. Honestly, I've never seen so much violence in any Korean drama! Everyone loved to beat each other up and that annoyed me a lot! I know it was supposed to be funny but they used it one too many times. The amount of times poor Hyun Bin was beaten up, I lost count. I think he got beaten up twice or thrice in the first episode alone. And an episode wasn't complete unless someone got beaten up. The only person who wasn't violent was Henry. He fought only once and it was because Jin Hun punched him.
Scene repetition. The match-making date scene happened, I think, 5 times. The "Don't look at anybody else!" scene happened, I think, twice or thrice. And I bet there were many other scenes that were repeated. It was at those moments I wanted to stop watching the drama.
Final Verdict: Even though there are more things I disliked about this drama than liked, it was entertaining and I would recommend it if you can look past the flaws.

Waste of time
I was waiting for this Drama to watch only because of Dylan Xiong. I saw him in MY MR. MERMAID where he done the superb job.Story- The story was full of melodrama and was so complicated to tell in the review. Before watching the Drama I read some of the reviews which were not so good but I want to watch only because of Dylan Xiong and I never watched such Drama with melodrama genre and I regret it. In the starring it goes so smoothly but when the Yanzhao starts working in the company then it get so boring that I was about to dropped it but I also wanted to know what will happen in the end that's I why I completed.
Things I didn't like- They showed so much things or topic at one time only because of they want to increase the no. of episodes in my opinion. There's no need to expand the welfare kids problem. And also no need to show the photos of Xiomeng which was leaked secretly. No need to bring Dr.Xiao and Qiao Zhen together. No need to show the things which was done by Zi Tong against Xiomeng. Seriously no need for 46 episodes it can be short. After the death of their father , Yanzhao become so aggressive and tortured Xiomeng and I don't know why she become helpless , she was also the shareholders of their company so she has so many ways to use them but no she only cries and even when some good things happen then also she cries. And I also feel like ML and FL lead was not good at acting they doesn't show their emotions properly and which they showed that was so fake.
Things I liked- I liked the the secretary of Yanzhao and his efforts in the company and courting Sun Lingxi. I really like the character Jiang Ze and his efforts for persuading his father for not doing such things and also been always by the side of Xiomeng and feel her comfortable . And I would like to appreciate the acting of Xiaomeng's mother (Ye Si Rong ) as metal patient.
I also like the part of the birth Secret.
If you have so much patience and you also like these type of melodrama than you my watch this Drama. But if you are going to watch only because of the main leads than please don't watch it .
For me it is such a waste of time.

The acting is good. Romance part isn't that much shown. The whole mystery/investigation was good. There's a lot of funny moments.
I like how the female lead is physically strong and good at martial arts, meanwhile the male lead is weaker but good at solving crimes.
Not much characters involved in the whole show which makes it easier to follow.
Overall, It’s a good short drama.
The whole drama combined is 2 hours long. It's perfect if you're looking for short drama to watch.

Best Asian drama I have seen
I don't tend to give out 10s but honestly, this is one that deserves it. The story was really well balanced well and really entertaining, the acting was next level, the music was great and I would love to rewatch it. Truly, a wholesome comedy that can really pull at the heartstrings. I really liked how we followed the story of both mother and daughter and we get to see the parrels. All the actors, young and older, were amazing. I started watching because I'm a fan of Hamabe Minami, but I leave loving all these actors. I cannot believe that more people didn't watch this. It deserves way more views than this. Was this review helpful to you?
