Good Enough

Korean Drama '' Jeongnyeon: The Star Is Born '' is a historical drama full of music and stage performances.

The drama has strong performances, which are the key feature of the drama and its strong suit.

Also, the music and the songs were all great, along with the costumes and the settings, which were perfect for the period and to create the perfect atmosphere for the story.

In addition, the characters were interesting, though the main one was tiring to keep up with and got annoying at times, but the rest of them were endearing, and everyone had strong chemistry between them.

However, the story was rushed and it didn't have an organic progress. The ending was open as well.

So, overall, six out of ten.

If I would describe Alice in Earnestland in one word, it would be: anger. But unlike a similar film that tackles rage and anger (Lee Il Sang's Rage), Alice doesn't show the same rigidity. The cornucopia of emotions aren't a mess because it didn't feel like corking a bottle; instead, it was done in a satirical, dark comedic way.

Firstly, Alice isn't even the main character's name. Her life is more similar to Cinderella than it is to Alice. But I guess it's a play on the words, "Wonderland" and "Earnest." Our heroine, is, in no way, in a wonderland. She hopes to be. She longs to be. She fights for it through earnest determination. And still fails.

This says a lot. Japanese and Korean society relays very much on the concept of hard work and discipline that they have inherited from China's Confucianism. It's no surprise that having to choose between factory life or "elite" life through studying, she chooses the latter because supposedly, education equals to success equals to eliteness. But later learns that her numerous certificates are useless (or no longer in demand) in an advancing technological world.

Soo-nam is at its core represents both affirming this society of hard work and also ultimately rebelling against it. As she experiences that despite all her hard work, despite all her conformity in doing things to achieve her goals—they are in vain. Feeling betrayed by these ideals, she rebells against these imposed rules.

Hence, why there is anger. But it's not the all-out nor is it hidden anger. It's always been there but it's been subtly shown that it didn't feel too overwhelming. In so many ways, it's dark comedic style and almost-Amelie-like editing style helped to show how she's making fun of things instead of making it too overly dramatic—even if the subject matter is.

But ultimately, this style also drags some of the film's major flaws. In some ways, it's also showing that women in love will do anything for the man they love. Just like Memories of Matsuko, does she really need a man in her life? For all the work she's done, is it truly worth it?

In this day and age, women want to be independent and work for themselves. While there's nothing wrong with wanting to build a family, I think there's this underlying tone that seems to imply who gets to give more to the other. It's not so clear-cut and there's certainly a grey area there but I think that's the part of the film that bothers me the most.

It takes a Village to have a Safe and Nice Flight!

Completed: 9/12/2022

“Nice Flight” is a simple but educational drama about those that work at the airport - pilots, air traffic controllers, cabin attendants, ground crew, mechanics and more. This is a short and easy watch, and for the most part will put a smile on your face.

I was surprised by the amount of technical talks in the first two episodes. While introducing our male and female lead and their occupations, the drama does go into quite a lot of detail in the communication between a pilot and an air traffic controller. I don’t mind and quite like the educational aspect of this drama, but it just took me by surprise. If you do not enjoy all the technical/professional jargon, you might not like this drama as much.

The romance is simple and sweet. We have two individuals who work closely together by profession, yet have very different personalities. They are quite adorable and awkward together (my kind of cuteness). I might have wished for a more mature romance since the leads are not teenagers but professionals. I also wanted more cuteness when they’re a couple. Because the drama is so short, once they get together, we only get a few scenes of fluffiness and then we get into challenges of being in a relationship.

I enjoy seeing the character development of our female lead and her background story. Her tight bond with her grandfather is touching. We might have not seen much change of personality in our male lead, we do follow his career path and I learn a great deal about the process of being a pilot. Who knew you needed to go through full training again if you wanted to pilot a different aircraft? I didn’t but I do now!

Though the focus is on the leads, I appreciate the fact that this drama also sheds light on other important professions. “Nice Flight” stresses the importance of team work and passing the baton from one professional crew to another, in order to have a safe and successful flight. If the drama is longer, then we can learn even more about each profession.

Other Random Observations;
1. I wish to visit a gyoza restaurant like that. So many interesting and crazy gyozas!
2. Pilots must make a lot more money than air traffic controllers. Just check out the apartments that the leads are living in. Night and Day!
3. JAL must be a big sponsor. You don’t need any other product placements.

Special thanks to Windflows for subbing.

If “Love Between Fairy and Devil” & “Till the End of the Moon” had a low-budget baby…

…it would be this mini-series!

So if you like the premise of either but can’t commit to 30+ episodes for each show, then give this a try first. Yes, it’s a mess, but that’s characteristic for mini-series so I find it easy to overlook plot holes and wacky writing for the sake of a fast Xianxia fix.

The plot follows Zhao Lu, a fox spirit (?) played by Lin Jin Yi. She’s a fun character for the most part, mischievous and strong-willed with a bit of a mean streak. Her sect is eradicated by the Demon Lord Lin Fan Ying, so her master sends her back in time to kill the enemy before he becomes powerful enough to kill them. (Yes, just like TtEotM.) 300 years in the past, she meets the Demon Lord as Mu Ting, the young heir to his throne who has yet to turn evil. Through some magic mishaps they become tied together so that any pain or harm done to the FL is suffered by the ML instead. (Yes, just like LBFaD.)

I’m convinced they cast, dressed, and styled Jerome Deng, who plays Mu Ting/the Demon Lord, to resemble Dylan Wang in LBFaD as closely as possible. And while he’s very pretty, his acting was wooden and could have been stronger. Still, I enjoyed seeing his character on screen, and in the physical dimension, he had strong chemistry with the female lead.

I don’t know what to say about the plot…it meanders. It’s chaotic. It leaves no room whatsoever between big events to breathe. Such is the fate of a mini-series. For someone with an attention span as short as mine, it can be a blessing — there’s absolutely no room for filler. But that also means there’s no room for relationships and plotlines to develop in a natural, meaningful way.

TROPES, for those interested (light spoilers):
- ML falls first and quickly
- mischievous, strong-willed FL with a tiny bit of moral greyness
- jealous, possessive, clingy, totally whipped ML
- annoying SFLs
- love square… 3 men fall for the FL
- time travel, change of fate, fated connection

Now I'm going to be completely honest!

This movie was really good! I'm not gonna write a really long paragraph explaining how this was somewhat a perfect coming to age movie, because honestly I think it's worth giving it a watch, a kinda see it and judge for yourself thing.

The acting was not on point! But, it wasn't horrible or anything like that either! The story line is really cliché and simple! So don't get your hopes up for any kind of hidden message or deep meaning! I gave the movie a 10/10 because I'm a sucker for cliché movies and if you are as well, then I highly recommend!

Not your typical xianxia indeed.

I didn't expect this xianxia to be so different from the usual ones. I did see comments saying it was different, and that got me curious. The first episode got me hooked right away. Its mysterious vibe, portraying the leads as secretive characters, was very interesting. The ML is also a bit of a gray character, while the FL may be kind and empathetic, but she's no pushover. She is someone who has the most beautiful heart, yet the sharpest eyes and is someone who can definitely hold her own. ML, on the other hand, is cunning yet simple. I find the leads very interesting characters.

Speaking of the leads, they were rather mature characters. The drama isn't filled with aggressive, passionate love, but rather trust and empathy. It's also about self discovery, and learning what it means to live and love. And this doesn't just apply to the leads, but even the supporting characters as well. The leading characters also required the actors to show more than speak. And because they were characters who gradually grew feelings for each other, but also keeping many secrets from each other at the same time, their dialogues were sometimes hidden with subtle messages and feelings. This was when the actors' skills really shone, because they portrayed them so well. It wasn't underwhelming or overdone.

I've seen people criticize the cast, saying that the actors are too old to be playing xianxia. But I feel so sorry for them having such a narrow vision. Just as dramas can revolved around people of all ages, why can't xianxia be the same? Plus, this story revolves around characters who have lived for quite a while. They're not some young blood, eager to prove themselves. They are beings who have gone through a lot. It only makes sense for more mature actors to be playing these roles. There may be younger actors who are good in acting, but portraying roles like the leads in this drama definitely require someone who has more experience and understands the layered emotions. I think Tang Yan and Liu Xue Yi were perfect for these two roles.

This drama has many fun and lovable supporting characters too. Besides the leads, they are also the ones who make the whole journey interesting. I really appreciate dramas that don't just focus entirely on the leads but also make use of the supporting characters to add flavors to the plot. One of the supporting characters that really stood out to me was definitely the war demon Qian Lin. He was a complex character as well, and I think went through the most character growth. The young actor also portrayed him really well, making him an easily likeable character.

Overall, this was a really great xianxia drama. It may be slow-paced, but it's very layered and filled with complex emotions. Yet, the intentions of the leads are very simple. They just want to have a simple, happy, peaceful life. It's true that this drama feels a bit like a slice-of-life xianxia drama. But it doesn't lack the angst from xianxia dramas. For the first three quarters, it's filled with mysteries and comedies. Serious conversations get thrown in once in a while to keep things real. And towards the final quarter, that's when the characters are forced to face reality and have to make a choice, and pay for the consequences of their actions. The romance wasn't burning with passion, but it's definitely one that many would wish for. It's more about giving you a sense of security, sticking to promises, understanding each other, and staying by their side no matter what. It's about choosing that person even though you could've done otherwise. This is why I find that their love is mature, because it's more about stability and trust rather than "who loves who most".

One of the most beautiful and touching Fairytale-Stories in a BL so far.

When I watched the first 5 Episodes of 1000 Stars, I was totally fascinated by this unique and beautiful series, cause everything was perfect. The MainRoles, The Setting, The Music, the Story, and even the Sideroles were loveable, touching, and beyond the standard of a typical BL Series.

Unfortunately, it couldn’t keep the Tension when the Series goes to Episodes 6 and 7.In these Episodes, I’ve got the Feeling that the Relationship of Tian and Phupa is on a Plateau and didn’t move on, (I mean they sleep in a room, but not in the same bed for example), but that’s the only Lowlight in this great Series.

Besides that, everything makes sense here even the Conflicts and the dramatic Parts. Which has nothing to do with the BL-Clichees and Misunderstandings.

In other BLs there are normally Breakups for random reasons, but 1000 Stars makes it better and asks questions that definitely matters.
Like „how far will you go to be with your loved one? and would you give up your old life for him?“

All in all, I would say, 1000 Stars sets new standards in Setting, Creativity, and Storytelling and I’m really loving it!

Lightyears of Poetry

I believe everyone at one point or another in their lives has wished for the chance to go back and change the past, do things differently, fix past mistakes, etc., I know I certainly have. What Be My Favorite does so well is show that making those changes isn't as simple as we might like to think. It requires personal growth, pushing outside our comfort zone, thinking about more than just oneself and sticking around to maintain those changes, plus a touch of magic, of course. This drama was so beautifully done, so well thought out and executed, it has certainly become one of my favorites.

The story, dealing with time travel, could have been great or a total flop. The way it was handled made it great. Rather than getting into the mechanics of time travel and trying to make it too sci-fi, it explained just enough for things to make sense and didn't go any deeper. The story as a whole though did feel deep. This isn't just a fluff drama, it actually has substance and quite a lot at that. It touches on various issues, but rather than being preachy like some dramas get, those elements were added in an organic way that flowed and worked within the story. Those issues included LGBTQ+ rights both as a whole and more specifically the lack of those rights when it comes to medical care, alcoholism regarding both the pros and cons of drinking alcohol and why some may choose not to drink and that is totally okay, and grief in understanding that there are some things that simply cannot be changed and learning to grieve for that loss, but also accept it. Despite the sci-fi elements, there was a very realistic feel to everything. Aspects such as the gap between the rich and poor were shown, how someone does in school does not define them or their abilities, that we won't succeed at everything and failure is a part of life but doesn't need to define it, and our actions truly do have consequences both good and bad.

The pacing is very nearly perfect. There are one or two spots that are a touch slow, but not obnoxiously so. One aspect that I really liked was the way the passage of time was handled. Comments, brief shots of calendars and the like helped make it clear that time was passing. But the crowning touch was the montage in Episode 10 which was absolutely perfect and so much better than a sudden time jump. Not only did it provide a myriad of cute moments between Kawi and Pisaeng, but it also showed how their relationship had progressed over time. Other dramas should take note, this is the way you do it.

I don't think there was a single character that I didn't like in some capacity. No one felt superfluous, they all served some kind of purpose. What helped was keeping the cast pretty tight. Yes, there were scenes with more characters, but they kept the core group small. Not having a second couple helped a lot and allowed the full focus to be on Kawi and Pisaeng which was good since the build up of their relationship was a bit of a slow burn. That focus enabled them to better show their changing feelings, particularly with Kawi. The best part of their relationship though was the communication between them. I cannot even describe how refreshing it was to see such a healthy relationship portrayed where both parties truly respected each other and actively sought to communicate with each other. Even better was that it was shown throughout and was a core aspect of their relationship. And the importance of communication was echoed in other relationships, between Pisaeng and his mother, Pear and her parents, and even with Kwan and Knot.

Kawi was a great character. His growth was so well done as he learned to step outside himself and take his life in his own hands to influence it rather than just letting things happen to him. He made conscious decisions to fix things and make changes to himself. It was his willingness to acknowledge his faults and then correct them that enabled him to change his future. Pisaeng was another great character. Similarly to Kawi, he had his faults, but he too was willing to address and correct them as he actively listened to the criticisms he was given. His obvious respect for Kawi as a person and as a lover was clear and refreshing. Also refreshing were the characters of Max and Pear. Max was not just the token gay friend, he was a fully realized character who served as a sounding board for both Kawi and Pisaeng. And his advice and comments were usually pretty on the nose. He supported them both unconditionally while adding a good dose of humor at times. Similarly, Pear was not the token female friend. Again, she was a fully realized character and, as a woman, I cannot describe how much I loved that. She wasn't the jealous ex-girlfriend or wannabe girlfriend and her only purpose wasn't to be a supportive friend, though she was that. She had her own hopes and dreams as well as struggles that she had to deal with. Communication was again a key element with her in regards to her relationships with both Kawi and Pisaeng. Pisaeng's lack of communication regarding his feelings towards her was actually a source of pain for her, despite the fact that was exactly why he hadn't said anything, so he wouldn't cause her pain. It showed that sometimes silence is not golden and being open is actually the better option.

I've seen most of the cast in at least one other drama if not more, so I had high expectations for them and they did not disappoint in the slightest. Having only seen Krist in SOTUS, I was excited to see him play a character so polar opposite from that of Arthit. He was phenomenal, completely embodying the character of Kawi with all his quirks and awkwardness. And his chemistry with Gawin was fantastic. They played off of each other beautifully and had such a great connection. I will say it's a subtler chemistry than seen in other BLs, but I really liked it and felt it worked within the context of the story. I've seen Gawin in a few dramas and was thrilled that he finally got a leading role. He acts a lot through his eyes and he does so effectively, this time was no different. Despite having less experience than other cast members, he absolutely held his own. Aye is a seasoned and talented actress that I've seen in several dramas. She did a great job at giving Pear depth and really making her emotions and turmoil understood and felt. Similar to Gawin, Aou is less experienced, but I've found him to be quite a versatile actor. He gave a grounded feel to the character of Max as well as a certain level of assuredness that gave his character more substance.

The production was very well done. The cinematography was beautiful and the music was fantastic. Both Krist and Gawin are very talented singers and they certainly did the soundtrack justice.

Despite the numerous lessons and themes woven into the plot of Be My Favorite, I think one of the biggest takeaways is simply to live in the present. Too often we look to the future, imagining how things might be and we miss what's right in front of us. Kawi's life improves when he stops looking to the future and instead lives in the present. I think it's a good reminder for all of us. I cannot recommend this drama enough, it is truly one of the best I've seen, one that I foresee I'll be coming back to multiple times.

Bel Canto Style

I'm watching this after watching "Our Song". My favourites from "Our Song" are on this show (Zhou Shen, Ayanga and Zheng Yun Long). As a bonus, Henry's here too (I'm a super junior fan).

The talent blows me a way. I'm not familiar with the "Bel Canto" style and this is what they're trying to develop on this show. They have a lot of young singers competing to be "principals". There's no elimination rounds, but there will only be 6 principals that are guaranteed to perform on each episode and the final 6 will have an album and tour.

Being very... shallow, my first thought was "omg they're so good looking" when I saw the singers. My image of Bel Canto singers was shattered. I know Ayanga was good looking but he's not the only one. hahaha xD.

My favourite singers are are Ayanga, Zheng Yun Long, Wang Xi, Zhou Shen and Jia Fan. Some of the reasons is for talent. But it's partly because I like their personalities.

Ayanga shines in here. I think he's funny and he gets a lot of screen time. Ayanga and Zheng Yun Long are like older brothers to the new singers. I was so glad when they took them under their wing. They're also both really talented musical theatre singers. Zheng Yun Long's voice is like melted chocolates. I can listen to him all day. When they sing together it's like O_O

Wang Xi is also like an older brother to Zhou Shen , but I really love the richness of his voice. Honestly, it's also because he was so nice to Zhou Shen and kept encouraging and believing in him that made me like him. T_T.

Zhou Shen - haha he was already my favourite from "Our Song," so I was Zhou Shen biased. It says something about the level of talent when Zhou Shen is actually considered...weaker than the rest . However, what I learned is, he wasn't actually trained! That blows my mind. He said something like "I just sang at home." (without formal training). I still love his voice. It's just heartbreaking to see him not being picked, but there are better singers than him on this show.

Jai Fan - I really like how he sings. He does have his heartwarming moments, but I really like his singing. hhahah it was so cute when they showed him wearing his PJs.

My favourite performances (that I can remember): Beauty and the Beast (Zheng Yunlong and Zhang Chao). Phantom of the Opera (Zheng Yunlong and Ayanga, Ayanga's Mongolian song solo, Zhou Shen's Memory, Zhou Shen's Lonely Goatherd, Sound of Silence (Wang Xi, Li Qi, Ju Hongchuan), Hawthorn Tree (Wang Xi, Zhou Shen, Liu Binhao)

This is more serious than "Our Song" and the style is quite different. I like this though, as it introduces me to a different type of style of singing. The subs are YouTube are a bit messed up (timing is off) so I'm mostly watching it raw.

Also the uploads are YouTube (from China HunanTV Official Channel) are a bit weird. the sound mutes (it's not even a copyright issue because it mutes when they speak and it's not muted for a complete song). They also cut performances strangely for some reason (you see the intro then the end, but not the singing for some songs).

I didn't watch this drama for a long time, because the description put me off. It sounded boring and unoriginal. But when I finally started to watch this, I fell in love with it. It's unlike any other drama out there, surprising, and very good. The actors are great, and the plot is weird, at times funny, and really sad.

I don't know why the MAIN POINT of the dorama is not put into the description... well, perhaps because it would "spoil" the series... but honestly, if you're planning to watch this, here's something you would like to know, and I'll say it without giving away any spoilers; be prepared to a plot out-of-this-world, perhaps not quite scifi but close enough. But don't let that put you off; this is truly original and great to watch. My favorite dorama ever.

Whenever I start watching a Thai rom com, I get a smile on my face because I know it's going to be fluffy, innocent and sweet. This one delivers as promised. Lots of cute stars acting awkward and accidentally falling into romance. Puppy Honey is 100% predictable and angst-free. I started watching because I was curious about Rome and Pick's storyline (BL), but I also enjoyed the female lead and her romance with the puppyish Porsche. Rome and Pick's story doesn't develop very far, but I love how straightforward Rome is and how goofy Pick can be. It's a pretty forgettable show, ultimately, but I'm still curious for season 2. Edit: The reviews on season 2 are very mixed, so I'm not sure if I'll watch it! But if I do, I'll review it here.

Great drama

A must watch for me. Amazing cast, amazing story. Especially female lead Dilraba did a great job. As a Turkish girl, I kinda like how they represented our history, even if it was worst times of 1st Köktürks:( *spoiler begins here* Beautiful Chinese princesses who became Khatuns caused destructions those times indeed as we learned in our history classes.
Today, we still use some words such as "Ana (Ana/Anne: mother)", "Ata (Ata: father, ancestor; today we use mostly its 'ancestor' meaning) "Khatun (Hatun: woman, wife, dame, chick; informal, today it mostly considered as a slang word, its original meaning is not used)", "Khan (Han/Kağan: ruler, emperor; Han and Kağan are boy names today, we don't use it's original meaning 'ruler')", "Kurultai (Kurultay: council, general assembly)" and "Ashina (Aşina/Asena: she-wolf; it is believed that Ashina Clan is descended from this she-wolf, also a girl name today // some legend says it was the name of a baby boy rescued by a she-wolf, and he became the father of Ashina Clan)". That they use these words has reinforced my love for these series.
Every episode made me wonder what will come next. That's the brownie points! (i hope i use the idiom in right place:"))
And, the romance! Everything was amazing regarding them, i mean, all of the couples!
However, I am sorry for Hao Du, I wonder how his love story will end.
Can't wait to find Eng subs for the rest of the series and looking forward to finish it.
Edit after ending: What an ending! It was so sad to watch a show about your nation's history when it represents the worst times...
I am happy for Hao Du... and almost everyone else- except Sher. I really liked him, it was so sad -again:(- to see that he couldn't be happy at all.
I wish there were more romantic scenes... but this doesn't matter, it was an amazing drama! -with an amazing soundtrack

If you're a person who likes rom-coms and fluffy romance, this drama is not for you. Even though I myself love rom-coms (ie Just You with Aaron Yan was adorable!-read my other review/ Pleasantly Surprised with Jasper Liu- who coicidentally plays a minor role in ITWY!), I still enjoyed this drama because it was different from the usual cute love. The love portrayed in ITWY is more mature and realistic.

ITWY shows a lot about not just romantic love, but also family/friendship love. It's a drama about life and how life affects us. That said, the story is slow paced, and the romance develops even slower. It is not draggy, but the developing romance is slow because of the problems of daily life.

The acting is really good. Ariel Lin fits her role, and Chen Bo Lin is the cutest best guy friend ever. Sunny Yang is also really hot in this drama, if you want some eye candy.

I personally liked the music. The song sang by Chen Bo Lin is super emotional and raw. I never knew he was a singer, and I loved his voice.

I rewatched this drama twice. Once in 2011 and 4 years later in 2015. After rewatching it, I gained a different insight because ITWY really is a drama that makes you think about what you want in life, and your perspective.

Thus, I recommend this drama but not if you want a easygoing no stress drama, rather a drama that makes you think. 9.75/9

Ouch - in the best and worst ways.

After hearing that this film was soon to be taken off of GagaOOlala, I immediately put this at the top of my watchlist. And ultimately, I'm rather disappointed with it.

It definitely spoke to a common asexual experience - with the main character starting to feel trapped in her relationship because of his frequent desire for intimacy. She'd even come up with reasons to get out of it (eating kimchi to get kimchi-breath, saying her sister is in town, etc.) and worried that her denial would upset her boyfriend. Asking her friend if she is supposed to like sex. Trying porn. Wondering if she might be homosexual and that's the reason for her lack of interest. The feeling of being numb and broken because she can't figure it out. These are experiences that many sex-repulsed and sex-indifferent asexuals can identify with. Perhaps even some sex-favorable aces.

And I loved the use of the S.O.S. Morse code whenever she's in a situation where she has to be "normal."

The film also used symbolism with the asexual flag colors (black, grey, white, and purple), but this felt a bit heavy-handed at times (it was everywhere, I'm not even kidding). But it did lead to a scene where someone commented on her always dressing like that and saying "it suits you" - which I found really cute. So I give it a tentative pass on that.

But at the same time, I don't think they used the colors with their meanings in mind - because we have a scene where she identifies everyone as being "black" - but yet black represents asexuality, so they probably should've used white instead.

Furthermore, at the end we get a scene where she seems to finally accept who she is. But then immediately afterwards we see her enter a crowd and cover her asexual-flag-colored dress with the quote saying "Everyone is black. And I am also black." The Morse code even stopped going off. I'm not gonna lie. This hurt. She had never once covered up her colors before, even when questioning. But now that she knows what she is, she's going to hide/ignore it. I've seen it in numerous other asexual short films, and it gets me every time. I hope we get to the point where this is another cliche ending we avoid.

And then there's the fact that asexuality is never once mentioned within the actual film.

I will say though that I appreciated the New York Times quote on asexuality at the end, as well as the Asexuality Visibility and Education Network (AVEN) resource. I think these are important for the topic being discussed.

UPDATE AFTER I FINISHED WATCHING THE DRAMA
Well, despite what I expected, it's not a drama worth 10/10 for me. I was not bored while watching the next episodes. They were addictive enough for me to finish watching this drama. I want to point out that the actors did a really good job but there is something average about this drama. Some things didn't make sense.

About Oh Do hwan... he said he was ultimately on Jin Jung's side because it was the matter of being human. But does it really make sense? The fact is, Oh Do Hwan always took the side of the person who was more likely to win. He was well aware of at least some of the crimes of the Seo family. He knew how Director Seo treated his people when he didn't need them anymore, but he still took his side and then suddenly changed his mind. He didn't do it when there were signs that Seo Hyun Kyu might lose. He was literally punished for his actions only because of the actions of Oh Do Hwan. I think the creators forcibly wanted his character to develop and become the good one at the end. In my opinion, his actions towards the end of the drama were not entirely consistent with his earlier character.

This drama was also so predictable and so obvious. Jin Jung, in the eyes of the writers, had to win every battle and the whole war against the evil character of this drama. Because of this, even the fact that Park Jae Kyung is alive was obvious to me from the beginning.

So although the episodes did not bore me, I am a bit disappointed with this drama. It had great potential and could have been written much better.

AFTER WATCHING 1 EPISODE
rating: 9/10

I just finished the first episode and 3/4 of it was boring. The ending, however, promises some really good next episodes.

From the beginning, I expected a lot from this drama. I love Kyungsoo as a singer and actor and I'm sure his acting won't disappoint me. I haven't seen any titles where the main actors from Bad Prosecutor play the lead roles, so I'm curious how they will do.

I like the dramas of this type in general, so I hope it maintains its good level which is to be expected because of the end of the first episode.

For now, my rating is 9 because most of the first episode was boring, but the ending interested me. I think the next episodes will be more interesting and ultimately this drama will be a 10 for me. Let's see how it's going to be.
