Cases settled

The misunderstandings continue between Shen and Qin. The case with the little girl was settled as best it could have been considering her family. Except for Gma, they are selfish and greedy people. 😝 I like that Gma came back with treats and apologized for her cheapskate son. I also liked that Qin got Shen to accept the little girl’s cooking. That was a sweet moment. She was surprised her divorce case was handled the way the wife wanted. It was quietly dismissed so she would not lose face and no divorce happened. I am with Shen that for the long term, this may not have been the best choice. But Qin countered that it was their choice to make and the family remained intact. She also finally got paid so meds for Gma. I was expecting Shen to show up with his court case for damaged property at her egg giveaway for legal advice. 😂 She is completely mobbed by egg snatching seniors and Shen has seen with his own eyes how his mirror was damaged on vehicle. I can’t wait for this next encounter.

from where to start - i knew it, Shone is…

from where to start - i knew it, Shone is interested in Kang & it kinda annoys me, cause Kang is still playing hard to get with Moo, when he is as interested in him... but he rather play games (& he is the adult) or he older then Moo. yet he's enjoying being wooed so much, he keeps him hanging - not cute. i guess given his asking his mother how his father wooed her - it's safe to assume, that he is the 'bottom' - that's why the diva behavior, clichĂŠ trope.******************************************************& i might be the odd one out, but i don't/didn't buy the whole Kang & his mother scene - the conclusions i had come to in the previous ep, seem more accurate then the b.s that was sold to us in this ep. if his mother didn't mind him being gay (i.e that he had fallen for Moo) then she wouldn't have made a face, when he told her that the person hitting on him was Moo. she only changed her tune & sold us the standard "...u can love whomever u want, i still love u & am proud of u..." same with her asking him if he wants to start his studies again only after he told her how much fun he had with Shone with the pottery stuff. she had over 2 yrs to notice that her son (out of guilt) had basically put his life on hold - what was she waiting for? not once in 2 plus yrs she think about what her son is doing & how to help him grieve his father & forgive himself for something that wasn't even his fault. & now i gotta go softhearted watching them? nah - sorry i don't like her. if anything Moo's mother is a way better mother IMO.***********************************************************************************************************************************in this ep i genuinely felt bad for Potae his parents r working so hard for their family or their son that they forget they got a son? he basically brought himself up - how freakin sad is that?!???

Fun introduction to city vs country living

I really enjoyed the character dynamics in this first episode. At the company, Mr Seong fought for one producer of Napa cabbage to make their product nutrient rich and tasty. His wish is granted and he finds himself transferred to a location that has been deserted for a decade and the locals hold his company responsible for trashing the land and leaving. He is surprised by the appearance of his wife and three sons and they all find themselves living the country life now. The eldest son is actually enthused with the location, but he is in a party of one. The comedy is exaggerated but not to the point it is annoying. It is just fun watching them interact and it leaves you smiling.

Truth Unearthed, Loyalty Tested, and the Drum That Shook the Court

First ImpressionThis episode was intense from start to finish — secrets finally coming to light while everything spirals into chaos.⸻Episode ThoughtsThe aftermath of the drugged night lingers, but the episode quickly shifts into something much bigger. Through the male lead’s dream and the message hidden by his mother, we finally uncover the truth — the Prime Minister is the real traitor, and everything traces back to his past and his first love.As the female lead tries to prove her father’s innocence, the situation takes a brutal turn when the Prime Minister pushes his rebellion forward and exposes her identity as a traitor’s daughter. The crowd turns on her, forcing her to walk forward alone and fight for justice. The drum scene was incredibly powerful — her standing there, beating the drum to demand justice while everyone watches, and the Emperor clearly panicking under pressure. It really highlights how powerless he actually is despite his title.Just when things couldn’t get more intense, the Royal Princess storms in and forces the Emperor to act, pushing him to stop being a puppet. The court scene that follows is pure tension, especially when the Prime Minister tries to twist everything and push for the female lead’s execution. The male lead’s entrance with the letter completely shifts the balance again, revealing the truth behind everything that happened in the past. Meanwhile, Qi Min continues plotting in the background, thinking he’s in control, not realising things are already slipping. And amidst all the chaos, we still get that softer moment with Mr Sun taking care of the Royal Princess — a small but needed emotional break before everything heads toward what looks like an inevitable war.⸻Character NotesFemale Lead:Absolutely carried this episode. From standing alone against the crowd to beating the drum for justice, she was strong, fearless, and completely unshaken.Male Lead:Calm, strategic, and always arriving at the right moment. His reveal with the letter was a turning point and shows he’s always one step ahead.Prime Minister:Fully revealed as the mastermind. Ruthless, manipulative, and willing to sacrifice anyone to maintain power.Emperor:Completely exposed as weak and easily controlled. His panic says everything about his position.Royal Princess & Mr Sun:A standout emotional pairing this episode — strength and softness balanced perfectly.⸻Final ThoughtsThis episode really feels like the point of no return. The truth is out, alliances are shifting, and everything is building toward a major conflict. I’m so ready to see how this all explodes next.⸻Favourite MomentThe female lead beating the drum alone while the entire court watches — powerful and unforgettable.⸻Trope Check • Public accusation / trial scene • Hidden truth revealed • Corrupt court politics • Strong female lead standing alone • Last-minute evidence reveal • Villain mastermind exposed • Calm, strategic male lead entrance

Fire, Betrayal, and a Plan That Backfires

First ImpressionThis episode was chaotic in the best way—schemes, fire, and everything spiralling out of control.Episode ThoughtsThe episode kicks off with the Emperor’s welcoming banquet, but it’s clear from the start that something isn’t right. Between the Emperor and the grand tutor, there’s a trap being set for the ML—and it’s worse than expected. The use of aphrodisiac incense turns the situation dangerous fast, forcing the ML to injure himself just to stay in control and fight his way out. While all of this is happening, the Royal Princess is left unconscious in the room, and the situation escalates even further when the palace catches fire. Whether it was planned or not, everything descends into chaos. The rescue scene is intense, with Mr Sun rushing into the burning building to save the Royal Princess. That moment where he refuses to give up on her and manages to bring her back is both emotional and beautiful.Back in the main hall, the ML and FL demand answers, and for once, the Emperor is the one on the back foot. His plan completely backfires, and you can feel the shift in power. The ML doesn’t hold back either, taking decisive action and eliminating the eunuch who becomes the scapegoat. At the same time, Captain Li steps up in his own way, taking the blame for the fire to protect others, even knowing the consequences. It’s a huge moment for his character, especially after everything he’s been through. And just when you think the chaos is over, we get that shift in tone—the lingering effects of the drug lead to a slightly chaotic but intimate moment between the ML and FL, ending with a kiss that feels both unexpected and inevitable.Character Notes • FL: Still in full protective mode, but her concern for the ML is so clear beneath it all. • ML: Smart, controlled, and ruthless when needed. Even under pressure, he stays one step ahead. • Royal Princess: Vulnerable in this episode, but her storyline adds emotional weight. • Mr Sun: MVP of the episode—his rescue was everything. • Captain Li: Finally proving he has his own sense of loyalty and justice. • Emperor: Completely outplayed—his plan backfires spectacularly.Final ThoughtsThis episode had everything—action, tension, emotional moments, and just a touch of romance. The stakes are getting higher, and the power dynamics are definitely shifting.Favourite MomentMr Sun running into the burning building and refusing to give up on the Royal Princess.Trope Check• Trap set by the palace• Rescue from fire• Political betrayal• Sacrifice for others• Drugged / forced proximity

1st off WTF was the point with the color blindness…

1st off WTF was the point with the color blindness "thing"? it was used in such a dramatic way, to not get addressed at any point & just forgotten by the end - so why? as an artist that whole issue will be huge, as u don't draw in blocks of colors, u bled & combine them to achieve art & Hye Seong for sure couldn't have replicated the same mural, he painted with U Jin, not the same color scheme - so why?!??? *****************************************************************************************************also at the end of the previous ep; with U Jin running like a mad man - the accident audio & Tae Jun screaming his name - all that was another false flag??? *******************************************************************************************************same with Hye Seong going everywhere (when he woke-up) then the columbarium, to see/check if U Jin's cremation urn was still housed there?? *******************************************************************************************************************or when Tae Jun phoned, asking him about U Jin? maybe when he stopped by with beer??? nope? still after they met for a drink the day after, he went to the columbarium - why the mislead?!? WHAT is this writing??? ******************************************can keep going... cause this was far from perfect, But on a whole i enjoyed this, the plot was interesting (even if the finer details weren't though through), but the acting was good & i enjoyed this on a whole - would've loved it, if they hugged at the end. but it's cool. *******************************************************************************************************************************was this perfect - NOPE, but this was fun while it lasted & sadly it didn't last long as this hella short .

Blood, Promises, and Love That Refuses to Break

First ImpressionThis episode was intense, emotional, and honestly painful to watch in the best way.Episode ThoughtsWe start with the ML’s grand entrance into the capital, mirrored beautifully by the FL cheering him on just like he once did for her. It’s such a full-circle moment, but not everyone is celebrating—Song Yan is watching from the sidelines, completely broken and reduced to nothing. As much as he brought it on himself, it’s hard not to feel a little sorry for him.The tone shifts dramatically with a powerful scene between the Prime Minister and the ML at his parent’s memorial. What follows is brutal—the ML is forced to endure 108 lashes to prove his defiance, leaving him bloodied and barely standing. The FL arrives too late to stop it, but what follows is such an emotional sequence. She takes care of him, scolds him, and in that vulnerable moment, he lays his heart bare—declaring that she is his only love and the reason he feels alive. It’s heartbreaking and beautiful all at once. This also reveals another layer to the Prime Minister, as we see hints of his own tragic love story. It adds depth to his character, even if his actions are unforgivable.Meanwhile, the political tension continues to rise. QM and MY’s dynamic grows darker, with MY seemingly accepting she may never escape him, yet still working behind the scenes by stealing the tiger tally to help prove the truth about the FL’s father. Captain Li is placed under house arrest after opposing QM, showing just how dangerous the situation has become.Character Notes • FL: Strong as always, but this episode really shows her emotional side. Her care for the ML and her determination to uncover the truth stand out. • ML: His love is unwavering. Enduring 108 lashes and still choosing her says everything about him. • Prime Minister: Ruthless, but layered. His past hints at a man shaped by love and loss. • Song Yan: A fallen character—pathetic but oddly pitiful. • Captain Li: Finally showing some backbone, but it comes at a cost.Final ThoughtsThis episode perfectly balances romance, pain, and political tension. The stakes are higher than ever, and I’m both excited and terrified for what’s coming next.Favourite MomentThe ML, bloodied and broken, confessing his love while the FL cares for him.Trope Check• Love confession under duress• Suffering for love• Political power struggle• Star-crossed lovers• Hidden truth about family
