Happy bubble burst — clovers, crushes, and the glow fading fast

Episode 5 starts in a happy bubble. The FL continues to crush on the ML, and the more she learns about him, the more she likes him. She’s glowing. And honestly? It feels like the ML is thawing too. Their moments together are quietly sweet in a way that sneaks up on you.After the ML gets locked out, she keeps him company for the night, only for him to discover (when she falls asleep) that she had her room key the whole time. Bless her. When she wakes up, he asks if she wants to go to the market with him, and she’s instantly over the moon.She’s also a little superstitious and decides she’s collecting luck so she can see the Northern Lights. She’s found five clovers and only needs two more, which turns into this adorable little mission. The ML runs a quick errand and somehow gets lost, and it’s both funny and endearing. She teases him and promises she’ll come find him, and she’s literally running around happy as a lark……until the bubble bursts. The ML’s crush appears, and the mood flips instantly. Something clearly happened because she was meant to marry the ML’s brother, but that didn’t happen. And just like that, the ML gets dragged right back into his unresolved feelings for her.The FL spirals and ends up rejected again — and you can feel the embarrassment hit hard because this is the second time. The glow is gone. All that’s left is sadness.The co-star (SML) is still trying to understand the FL, even with the language barrier. I can’t tell if he likes her or not yet, but he’s definitely less of a jerk in this episode, which is something.We end on a strangely comforting note: the ML returns after a fender bender, and the FL thinks it’s her fault because she was cursing him out. But they still manage to see the Northern Lights together — because while waiting for the tow truck, he finds the 7th clover. A little bit of magic after a whole lot of emotional damage.

even before Wiwid came back like a bad penny at the end, i thought Peach was being moronic telling Thee that firing him was enough. sorry, but if the dude was a pedo that wasn't behind bars - just cause there wasn't enough evidence - that means he is a repeat offender, that is good at getting away with "it". who knows how many victim's he's got. so yeah, Peach didn't know this fact & Thee didn't disclose all this info - still sometimes it's better to just keep quite & let the cards fall as they will. *************on a whole this was a very wholesome ep, also funny - but that aint new not with Thee around. but finding out that Peach & his sister were orphans, explains why last time he went to the orphanage. weird that this info was not included in his bio when Mok gathered background info on Peach. or was that a translation issue?!??

am wondering why Thee reacts the way he does, whenever Peach tries to hold his hand - that kneejerk reaction is an indicator to past trauma?!? childhood? his father looks pretty cold & sociopathic.. even his mother gave off a weird vibe. so who knows. but that makes me sad, cause in-spite of his pompous behavior he has a good heart & is more like an uneducated child, that doesn't know how to act... then a malicious adult. & in this ep around his father he looked very vulnerable. **********************& i wanna be frustrated that Peach who has yet to catch on that Thee has fallen for him. but given how they met, i get why he hasn't realized that after the 1st encounter Thee has been fascinated by him & all the times they met, was cause he wanted to get to know him & not cause he wanted help getting close to Aran. wonder what it's gonna take for him to finally realize that Thee wants him & not Aran. the fact Mok didn't clue him in is fine, as it isn't his place to say. he did what a good friend should - share enough info to let Peach know that Thee needs him in his life. ***************************************************************btw really liked the fact that Peach didn't reach out to Thee with his problem. obviously Thee will find out as Wiwid is being a petty b*tch who isn't gonna stop until he creates a big mess. that will totally backfire as Thee got Peach's back - the irony.

Character introductions are over now their fates have changed.

Some end up in prison, some thriving, some hit rock bottom, and some find their fortune isn't enough to buy an island. The only disappointing thing about this episode is that the romance is still so faint. Well, it’s more than the first episode, but it’s still not enough for me (just 2 scenes?). I’m craving Siyeol and Eunho’s forced cohabitation. It's a bit of a shame that hot and rich Siyeol only appeared briefly before switching back to chaotic and poor Siyeol. I get the authors anyway. Swapping Siyeol and Wooseok’s fates is necessary to lead to the growth and evolving relationship between Siyeol and Eunho, which is the main point of the drama. (I especially loved Choi Seungyoon’s performance in this episode. He really nailed that scene in front of the police station.)
