Two Stars

Only You was my first Thai GL. So I thought this was the standard and I am totally happy about the cringe since I came from watching soap operas and teleseryes from the Philippines. So I didn't really have much hope for this one and I was right lol.Bodyguard x celeb is actually a good yearning trope but they did not really focus on this trope as much as I thought and that's disappointing. Also, what kind of bodyguard wears heels on the job? Makes no sense lol. They mostly did it to close the gap of the heights of LingOrm which is so unnecessary in my opinion. It's okay if the more femme one is taller. It's hotter that way but that's just me. There's also so much trope in this show that it didn't really make for a good plot. They put in the star-crossed lovers trope here as well which could've so much angst if it was written well. But the fathers not approving the relationship not because of homophobia but because they are business rivals is so trivial that it didn't really hit my feels at all. If Ayla's father is rivals with Tawan, then that would be a better plot. And do not get me started with the sickness thingy that came out of nowhere. Like tf? It was a great gesture from Tawan and all but it didn't really tie to the story. It felt like I was watching a different show. I wished they sticked to one trope and focus on that then maybe we could've gotten a better show. I really believed that the director didn't really utilized the actresses full potential in this series. Orm (Ayla) - she is such a good drama actress. Her scenes always tug at my heart but I just think that there are times that she didn't really need that much emotion on a scene. Like gurl you don't have to cry all the time. I get it you can cry on cue lol. Her character doesn't also have a lot of inner conflict and I wish there was more angst for her character because she got left with no explanation. I would've loved to see a moment of her struggle of her almost giving up on Tawan. The ""is she worth it"" moment. I felt like a monologue would've been perfect for Orm because she would've pulled it off easily. Lingling (Tawan) - I love protective tropes as much as the next person but I don't like the way it was portrayed here. It's giving toxic masculinity, especially when Tawan is an S class bodyguard. She should have better composure and a better grip of her emotions. I wanted the portrayal as ruthless but not violent. Calculated not explosive. Also, the poker face should be for the outside world, and she shows her softness when is alone with Ayla or in her regular life. There's not much of that I've seen. I want the microreactions, the small smiles, the yearning glances. I needed more from Tawan. Because she's a yearner through and through but I just didn't see that on her facial expressions. In actions sure. I like the music and it's been added in my playlist. I like when people make songs for the actual show and not just grabbing a song that's already out there and making it an OST. So I am very happy about the music. However, I am very upset that they didn't really use the actors very well. I really think that there's so much more of them than this. Also, I think the intimate scenes could've been better especially the kissing scenes since we are in the year 2025. I thought they would kiss like they weren't cardboards lol. I really wanted to like this series so much because the actresses are quite good. It just keeps missing on where I wanted it to be.

watching this 1st ep & seeing the mains…

watching this 1st ep & seeing the mains butting heads, i get why everyone keeps talking about Bad Buddy. they a lighter, but same vibe version. also seems like J hasn't matured at all & he's still the little boy that loves teasing the guy he has a crush on. the fact that his younger self, rejected Jinn is neither here nor there, as they were young & at that age, that's how some kids react no matter who is trying to talk, about liking them. & even though i am calling out J i totally love him - he is like dennis the menace. *******************************************************************************************************************************also like the 2nd couple & find it ironic, that they personality wise total opposite's to each other & their bff (J & Jinn), Farm more like Jinn while Van is J lol. ******************************************************************************************************until New showed up (as Tar) i thought Farm was the best looking among the foursome (don't get me wrong, they all good looking, but he's my cup of tea) & mentioning New - dude is aging like fine wine - how can someone look even better as time goes by??????? also loved seeing baby Paul as Beam - pity he hasn't a bigger role. **************************************************btw always enjoy seeing JJ or his twin but sadly they always side character's - always the bridesmaid never the bride?!?? bummer

Secrets and lies — misunderstandings, twists, and growing feelings

Episode 6 keeps us firmly on our toes. It starts by teasing implied cheating within the second couple — thankfully revealed as a misunderstanding — only to immediately hit us with the real shock. The FL runs into her ex-fiancé, now very much the groom at the wedding she’s attending with the ML. A genuine plot twist. While the sight clearly turns her stomach, the FL handles the situation with surprising composure. There’s no dramatic breakdown, just quiet discomfort and resolve, which honestly feels like growth.Meanwhile, the ML has his own priorities. Beneath the wedding setting, there’s corporate scheming at play — someone within his company appears to be plotting with a rival, leading to their disqualification from a competition. The wedding itself becomes less about celebration and more of a strategic opportunity for the ML to get closer to the chairman overseeing the competition. There’s a lot happening in this episode — romance, betrayal, business manoeuvring — but through it all, we start to see subtle hints of feelings forming on both sides. Nothing is said outright, but the shift is there, quietly building beneath the chaos.

Alt who has a antisocial disorder is more…

Alt who has a antisocial disorder is more warm & open about his feelings & thoughts, then Ian who was overly emotional in the prequal & idk what awaits in the next & last ep. but i wish he matured & stopped pushing Alt away & communicated with him - that's what adult do in relationships (or that's what adults should do).

Patio chats and dealing with betrayal

Yu was the absolute gentleman considering her room was locked and she only had mayor key.🤣 He made her as comfortable as possible on the couch and locked himself in the attic. Literally😂🤣 It is broken and he can’t get out. There is a very sweet exchange from upper and lower balconies.🥰 She was quite bold to request design plans from his earlier works. He passes her a contract to sign before she sees anything.🤣😂 He reflects in the game. This seems to be where he just soaks in the scenery and lets his mind free. After getting him out she is all flustered not wanting to seem a couple to work colleagues. He is not the least bit concerned and just asks her if he appeared the type of person to hire somebody that wasn’t qualified? Her lack of response shows her fear of company gossip. His partner was quite impressed with Xiu’s designs. She didn’t expect to see what Yu saw first……untapped potential. When they arrive there is negative publicity about how the company gained contracts and they are disqualified from the competition. Zhuling GM has completely misled Mr Sun and they are congratulating each other on keeping the uncle safe from bad news. I really hope I get to watch this GM bite the dust hard.😝 There is a loss of morale at the company but Yu doesn’t seem worried about it. It is definitely bad because his mom has called and they are coming there to form a united family front. She warns him to not react as his father did. Whatever happened, his dad was the fall guy and committed suicide as a result. This is the crux of his trauma. He was given the mission quite young to work his hardest and untangle the threads to find the truth of what really happened. They were supposedly given a meeting with Mr Sun but he was out playing golf while they were waiting at his office. Yu knows there is a mole in his company and waiting to see what they do next. The biggest relief is to find out what was up with Zhao’s hubby. When she ran to the door and it was opened, it was like a nerd gaming convention.🤣😂 He is maintaining his job and trying to form another company with this group that will provide significantly more career growth. They are sweet walking hand in hand with her plotting how to assist. They make plans for the future and her evening ends much better than she originally expected. I am very glad for both of them.🥰 Yu gets himself invited to a very exclusive wedding. It was being held at a hotel he designed on a private island. He lets her know that she is his date for the wedding. Xiu takes it in stride til she sees the groom. Guess who? Yep…the slime ball that deserted her at her engagement party. At first I thought Yu knew about the groom, but he was surprised at the reactions. He had come for an impromptu meeting with uncle Xie to get himself back in the competition. Xiu is trying hard to get as far away from everybody as possible and finds herself congratulating the bride. When she mentions a flash marriage, the bride wants to know how she knows about it. The episode ends and I won’t find out til tomorrow how this plays out. I am curious what she will choose to do now that she’s here at her ex’s wedding. His mother alone was a good reason to be happy they did not become family. What I would like to see is mom and groom coming face to face with her. It will be a very long wait til tomorrow😝

One Stars

so even though that father & son r selling Chen GuangLi's sculpture's, it's not enough & they need more money. now they wanna buy stocks & Master Lin is creating a fake company/option for them to invest in & then he is planning to make them lose big, so he can demanded Chen GuangLi as payment? there is so much unclear, that everything has become a guessing game - the plus i aint bored. but this still too short. *****************************************************************************************also given the "uncle's" order at the end, was right about him abusing Chen GuangLi sexually & then it explains why Chen GuangLi had no problem approaching Master Lin & trying to seduce him. *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************as there only 2 more eps to go & they hella short, i hope this gets resolved in a satisfactory way (the start showed that Master Lin comes in time to stop Chen GuangLi's forced marriage) but letting that uncle & his son off scot free, is no type of ending - i need them to pay heavily!

When admiration meets reality — awkward, earned, and amusing

Episode 5 delivers peak second-hand embarrassment in the best way. The FL discovers that the ML is actually her favourite architect when he turns his chair around during the interview, leaving her completely flabbergasted — especially after spending the previous night enthusiastically singing the company’s praises. Painful? Yes. Hilarious? Also yes.Although she’s initially hurt by the deception, that feeling doesn’t linger for long once she’s offered the role. Importantly, it’s made clear that the decision has nothing to do with personal feelings — her interview answers, attitude, and work ethic align perfectly with what the studio is looking for, which makes the moment genuinely satisfying. The episode leans into comedy through their parallel inner monologues, with both of them thinking increasingly ridiculous things about the other. These moments add a lot of charm and keep the tone light without undermining the professionalism of the setting. We end the night with a drunk FL being driven home by the ML, and between his slightly odd behaviour and her lack of experience, it feels safe to assume that office gossip is about to have a field day. The setup is playful, awkward, and full of promise.
