Hooked me

This episode definitely got me hooked. I feel like the motivation and character of FL were established really well. Loved the aesthetic of the in-game world (hoping to see more). Also 👏 for the pacing, very well done.

Exes to Lovers

The exes to lovers trope always draws me in. I am excited to know how will they approach this trope since it is easy to make this a toxic love story, if done wrong. So far, it looks like Jin Hwan needs a huge redemption arc since it looks like he is a cheater. I am curious on how they will write his story and his reasoning for cheating, as well as his relationship with the guy he was cheating Min Jun with. This episode is a good, simple introduction to the premise of the show. I really liked the plot of Min Jun feeling stagnant with his life and him comparing his life to his friends (in my opinion, he is doing pretty good even though he doesn't feel like he is). I gave this episode a 7.5 instead of a 10 because I am not a huge fan of the fast pacing (didn't took a lot of points off since they have a really limited amount of episodes). I also wished some scenes provided clearer information like are they living together and did Min Jun already had a hunch about the cheating beforehand. Maybe they will answer this in the next episode. I feel like the actor for Min Jun is a bit stiff, but I didn't take points off for that since it is only the first episode and I need more time to know how do the characters normally express their emotions. On the positive side, he is cute during the cat scene.I am looking forward to the next episode as there may be a lot of tension and answers.P.S. LOVE the cute epilogue with the pen scene! Looks like both of them were already interested in each other at first sight!

A bad joke?

I like that woman (Ji Yu), she’s really good for Seung Won... Unlike Chan Yeong, who doesn’t even seem like Heesu’s best friend. I always get the feeling they’re really distant, like if it were up to him, he wouldn’t even hang out with Heesu. I didn’t like the ending of this episode, I thought it was really forced. Now that he got "rejected", Heesu suddenly starts looking at Seung Won differently? I thought that was kind of crap. I know there was already some kind of connection growing, but everything between them feels very lukewarm. The side couple is way more passionate and has better plots than the “main” one. What saves this series is that it has a nice vibe — it’s not boring or slow to watch. But the characters themselves? I didn’t like them. The only one who stands out, in my opinion, is Ji Yu.

Heartwarming Flashbacks & Heartbreaking Future

MY 👏 HEART 👏 IS 👏 MELTING!!! (BTW, this is a super long post)All of the flashbacks really tug my heart either in a warming way or in a painful way. However, I did expect them because I watched the teaser for this episode a couple of times and I have noticed that Day's & Night's hairstyle looks a bit different, so I have predicted that this episode would not be in 2020. Plus, someone told me that Night seemed to wear a grade school uniform. Though, I was surprised that the episode was mainly flashbacks. Not that I mind though since the background information on how Dream & Ozone came into the picture was much needed. The scenes with Day's aunt and Night's girlfriend were so sad, especially when the aunt said "I will buy a bigger cake for you NEXT time" and Joy saying she will ALWAYS be there for Night. Their deaths were expected, but a part of me wished they would have survived, but if they did, Ozone & Dream would not be in the picture. On that note, the curse is so cruel! Like, the uncle didn't have to die since he is not close with Day and he does not like being near him. However, his death (along with his wife's) is needed to force Ozone to get close with Day just like Joy dying is needed for Dream to meet Night. The curse (yes I am talking about it like it is a person) is planning for 4 years ahead. The curse knows that if it only killed the aunt, then Day is left alone and once Day ages out of the orphanage system, he has nowhere to go and most likely will isolate himself, making the curse having no one to kill for Day and the chances of Day & Night ever meeting becoming non-existent.As for Dream, I adored the scenes of her guessing Night's name (wondering what attempt she was on when she guessed it correctly) and the scenes of her and Night getting closer. I loved that they showed how hard it was for Night to stay away, but can't since he craved the attention and need for relationships (in general). Like I said before, the curse is cruel as it gives you a normal life for four years and then turned your life into hell in one day, so it is very hard to be tense for four years just to prepare for one day. I also love the relationship development with Dream & Night and Ozone & Day. They only had 1 episode to showcase this and they used their time well. I appreciate the fact that they made it clear that Ozone resent Day for the deaths of his parents because that is a normal reaction. I think Ozone still feel resentment, but more to what Day brings with him (the curse) rather than Day himself. Moving onto present day, I LOVED Pond's acting when he showcased Day's anger against Night and against this entire situation. He knows that he cannot blame Night because he knows it is all the curse's doing and even if Night wasn't there, Ozone would still be hit by a car, but it is hard to not lash out at Night since this is the first time (I think) where a stranger that is involved in this is right in front of Day (btw, this is not the first time that a stranger has been involved because Day's sister was killed in a mass shooting, but I think Day never met the shooter before). I also really liked that they showed Dew being in extreme guilt as not only he felt at fault with failing to keep Dream safe, but with potentially killing a stranger and getting more people involved. I think one of my favorite scenes is when Day offered a drink to Night and the staff member revealing their shared birthdates. The scene showcased both of them thinking that the other doesn't know about the curse with Day trying to be nice to Night, knowing it was the curse's fault & not Night's and with Night refusing the drink due to him knowing that the curse that Night brings caused this to happen. Before I talked about the final shot with them realizing about their shared birthdates, I have to give praise to the acting as always. There are not a lot of tense scenes compared to the first episode, but there didn't need to be as there are a lot of emotional and important relationship development scenes, which the actors killed! I will say that I think Dew is a bit stiff on his acting in 1 or 2 scenes like in the waiting room scene. I know his character is supposed to be emotionally reserved, so with these types of characters, I tend to really look into their facial expressions more, but his eyes tend to be hard to read. Its probably on me and I need to get used to the look on his eyes, which is why I tend to not take points off for acting for the first 3 episodes since I need to have a good feel for the characters. About Dew, I loved his little smirk when Dream got his name right and the look of dreaded realization on his face when Dream almost got hit by a car. As for cinematography, I loved the shot of the two grave sites, the shot of Ozone & Dream being rushed into the hospital, and the shot of the waiting room with Day being under bright lighting & Night being under dark lighting. There is quite a bit of visual comparison & parallels between the two, which brings me to my next point.I am super excited for the next episode which will show us a proper interaction between Day & Night. Even though they are both affected by the same curse, their socioeconomic differences and their different backgrounds will cause them to have different opinions about the curse. Judging from the teaser for the next episode, it seems that Day still have hope in breaking the curse while Night doesn't. It makes sense since Day never been alone in his life since he always had someone to take care of him like his family or the orphanage and he cannot leave Ozone alone or push him away. As for Night, he has been alone for majority of his life (excluding interacting with the housekeepers here & there) and he is able to push Dream away since they are not dating and he is not bound to any family matters. Also, with the nature of Joy's death being so sudden and happening right in front of his eyes, he knows that no matter what he do, he can't stop someone's death. While with Day's family, their deaths gives off Final Destination vibes and looks "preventable" as in looked like "just in the wrong place, at the wrong time" rather than every place is wrong and every time is wrong. Most of my predictions from the first episode are already proven wrong lol. I was so sure that they were going to be in a time loop, but I guess time is still moving normally. I am assuming that the curse is going to have power on every day now rather than just on leap day. Based on the teaser, it seems like if Day & Night are apart, then the curse will take affect, but if they are together, then the curse can't do anything. Also, I know the professor isn't in this episode, but I know he is important since he is in the opening credits along with 1 other guy who seems to be his curse partner, meaning they are probably the older equivalent of Day & Night. I wonder if they are still affected by the curse or not and if they are good or bad guys. If they are not affected by the curse, I feel like they will be bad guys and what if they are the ones to put the curse on Day & Night, so they themselves are not affected by it like they have to do something every 4 years to get rid of the curse for them, but restate it on Day & Night. I have no idea who is bleeding on the floor and who walked past Day, but I am excited to get those answers in the next episode. Can't wait in two weeks!P.S. I was so sure that the aunt would die from the car crash, but I was SO surprised that she made it to the hospital until my hopes were crushed seeing her go into the elevator.

genuinely didn't need to see North's…

genuinely didn't need to see North's assault all over again, once was more then enough(!) thank you very much... like why - served no purpose other then filler. **************************************************************************************************but idk how i feel about that being the catalyst that pushed North into facing his feelings for Johan, maybe if Johan wasn't lowkey gaslighting & manipulating North, i would be happy they finally confessed & r together (kinda). & if i had doubts, the fact Johan thought to offer a pay to play deal, reinforcing him being a Dom that is seeking to bind his sub to him. **************** no one wouldn't find the offer flattering or funny, even if they were desperate for money, they would accept but wouldn't confuse it for love, it would be a transaction. North's too naïve not to see this, or maybe he is so desperate, that he doesn't want to see this... *************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************find it ironic that on this site Tonfah, Typhoon, Arthit & Daotok r main role character's, while Nao & Tiger r support roles. leave screen time, what characters offer/attract the viewers r these 2 support character's that IMO r the 2nd couple (cause to me the 1st couple is North & Johan). feel bad for Hill, but whomever wrote Ter did a bad-job or maybe it's the acting... idk - just know that i skip any scene with him having dialogue... ironically it's not hard to understand the gist of thing, from what the character's with him say lol ********************************************************************************************************** ****************************************************************************************************************************************side note: i get wanting to quit a job where u were assaulted. BUT Johan's b.s. victim shaming, where he more or less blamed North for what happened to him, cause he didn't listen & went to work at the bar - like r u kidding me?!? same with everyone else (Ter the moron) doing the same. sorry, but the bar isn't the problem(!!!) men like Day r the problem! & anyone thinking that type of thing won't happen at a day job in an office, a bank, a café etc.... needs to stop living in Lalaland! *********************didn't like how this topic was handled. blaming North wasn't the answer, same with telling him he didn't need to work & Johan would "fund" him - like seriously?!?

love how North dealt with his ex-gf, he got straight to the point & cut her off. he is a gem of a guy & i love his friends, not only caring before, warning him not to meet-up with her, but then one of them following him to make sure he was ok. now that's friendship. ****************************************************************************************************************************the end was whack - like WTF was Day thinking, who thinks r*aping someone will make them theirs?! whos mind works this way?? so they not interested in u, hey force them & then they will fall for u.. who this work for?!? logically it would make that person hate u more... but ok **********************************************************************************************************also what type of lowlife friends does he hang with, that they ready to help him r*ape someone - still cant get my head around this thought process.

New paths taken

Grandmaster is traveling after Sinister Pleasure members seeking the leader that killed his friend. He is a storm of lightning cutting loose on them and has spared few in his journey. The elders are 50/50 in stopping him and letting him continue. He encourages LY to follow his heart and to quit pleasing others. He told LY his quest for perfection was not attainable and was not the true Taoist path. That finding love was the correct choice for him and he should see where it leads.

for a few eps now was wondering where Thanmild disappeared too. & no, it's not cause i like her (or care for her one way or the other) it's cause when she's in the picture, Ter is suffering. mean of me?!? it is what it is.... don't like this character & nothing is gonna make me warm up to him. *****************************************************************************************************sadly Thanmild & Hill's bff's all decided they gonna help to moron, when it wasn't their place - especially not when we talking about the bff's. they should've told the moron that he needs to speak with Hill! it was his 'dirty laundry' & he had a right to chose if & what to share. *****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************Johan is another one where my feeling r negative (don't dislike him as much as i do Ter) but am getting tired of his domineering ways. also bothered by how complacent North has become regarding Johan's order. he says jump & North is asking how high. i get that he has a one track mind when it comes to Johan - the debt he owes him. but he doesn't think to second guess if what he is being asked, is ok/logical. sadly the person he turns too for advise is utterly moronic - so there is that...

this ep was so much fun cause of North, i kinda get why so many guys r after him, he is sweet & normal. yeah he goofs around & can be silly, but on a whole he is normal & very likeable. plus not everything is about himself & when he listens to Ter's problems, he doesn't make light of them, just making shipping jokes like the moron does. *****************************************seriously come to detest Ter so much, i keep muting his annoying voice - cause i know he got nothing of importance to say. ****************************************************************************************************************************************personally i liked the café owner & i loved Day (dude gorgeous) but he came off as more of a player, so personally from what i've seen - think North was better off with Than. Johan is great looks wise, but personality wise idk WTH his deal is & i DON'T like how he loves to order North around. the Dom attitude can be cute, as long as it's not someone trying to abuse the authority he got as a creditor. that puts him in a position of power. where North, like or not has his hands tied & has to do what he is ordered. i don't like this dynamic. ***************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************side note: we 8 eps in & wondering r we gonna get more couples?!? or r Tonfah+Typhoon & Arthit+Daotok a figment of the of some viewers imagination?!? inquisitive minds want to know....

Captivating

Excellent starting storyline, the female lead shows the true nature of a healthcare professional as in the real world, you can't know everything from the get go. A good mix of characterisation and the story flowed really well.

idk if ima like the 2nd couple, as a couple. but i love North, for me he is the main & only reason i am sticking around. i for sure aint watching the main couple & that's only a pity, cause i like Hill. his character was well thought-out & the whole family drama just adds weight to him as a character. the fact he got lousy taste in love, is a pity. *****************************************************************************************************************************************************************************************now North is sweet & fun, let alone funny. his thought process & reactions r so normal, they make me weep in comparison to his moronic roommate, that other then c*ck & acting like most of the nosy, annoying, intrusive side character's that just wants to hook people up. even when there important matters to discuss, they only care about who's getting it on with whom. & Ter for sure NOT a good friend, cause other then make retarded faces while over reacting & then trying to push North into Johan's arms/bed, he had nothing to add to the scenes or the situation. ********************************************************************thankfully North got some good friends (the ones he went drinking with) yes, they didn't do well on that night lol... but they loyal, sweet & supportive. most importantly they offered to help(!) with the debt. even if that was lip service - sometimes saying 'i am here for u' is the world in its entirety.... makes a body not feel so alone.
