This drama reminded me why I fell in love with BLs years ago . ❤️

So… it’s over now 😭 What a journey.

I honestly didn’t think it was possible, but Season 2 was a million times better than Season 1.

And that’s saying a lot, because I already enjoyed the first season.

Season 2 was amazing in every way. Every couple’s story was engaging, heartwarming, and easy to get invested in. I got attached so quickly, and before I knew it, I was completely immersed in their lives. I loved every single couple, connected with all of them, and honestly thought they were the cutest people in the world.

What makes Fourever You so special to me is that both Season 1 and Season 2 remind me of old BLs in the best possible way.

The nostalgia. The atmosphere. The storylines. The acting. The locations and overall aesthetic.

Everything about it took me back almost seven years to when I first started watching BL dramas. It gave me that same comforting feeling I used to have back then. It didn’t matter if a moment was predictable, cheesy, or full of familiar tropes—I was simply having fun watching these couples fall in love.

A group of boys, university life, friendships, romance, and every trope imaginable. Somehow, it all worked.

My favorite couple in the entire series was definitely Arthit and Dao. Without a doubt, they completely stole my heart.

And of course, ever since Season 1, I had been waiting for Tiger and Nao’s story. I was so happy that they became the final couple of Season 2. Watching their story unfold made me incredibly happy, especially for Tiger.

And let’s be honest… I am an absolute sucker for friends-to-lovers stories. 😍

To keep it simple: if you’ve been watching BLs for years, or if you’re thinking about getting into the genre and don’t know where to start, I genuinely recommend Fourever You with all my heart.

Honestly, I would have loved to have this as one of my very first BL dramas.

For anyone who hasn’t watched it yet, give it a chance. It’s such a fun and comforting viewing experience and captures the feeling of classic BL dramas beautifully.

Thank you, Fourever You, for the wonderful journey, the comfort, and all the happiness you brought me.

I’m really going to miss you. ❤️

Rating: 9/10 🌟

What a ride my lord

Oh my my. I for a second thought in the second episode he was trolling the prof. However soon that feeling faded and I wanted him not to get caught by his friend's parents. The last episode was cherry on the top and the last scene has me wondering if there'd be season two or is the prof still gullible enough to be played again by his student.

Content Warnings: vomiting ep 1 around 2:10 , non con picture taking/sharing, dub con kissing

What I Liked
- production value, oranges and blues how in episode 1 there were 2 different locations but characters walked thru a door and then the scene with the other characters continued, not sure how to describe this
- tension/chemistry
- countryside vistas

Room For Improvement
- do not care at all for the second couple

continue watching and undermine all the bashers

Don't listen to what the bashers are saying online. While the show has its critics, they are missing the best part.

The main reason to watch this drama is the incredible chemistry between the lead characters. Their connection and spark on screen are more than enough to keep you hooked and excited for the next episodes. Give it a chance and see for yourself!

vertical series revolving around a play

Overall: it was fine. And the way I snickered because I interpreted that title completely differently from what it actually meant. 30 short episodes (1-7 are free to watch). Aired on GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/verticals/7929/viola-who-was-inside-you-2026

What I Liked
- visuals
- non cliche female character

Room For Improvement
- lip press
- the whole 'took off his glasses and he's suddenly hot' though it wasn't as overt as other series

First Impression: My Summer of You

Overall: a lovely first episode, so happy it didn't end with the miscommunication trope. 12 episodes about 24 minutes each. Airing on GagaOOLala https://www.gagaoolala.com/en/videos/7994/my-summer-of-you-2026-e01 (not available in: Japan, Korea, Taiwan orThailand)

What I Liked
- the characters felt realistic, the less popular guy isn't a caricature
- making fun of the car beep and how it was like a movie in episode 1
- communication at the end of episode 1

Room For Improvement
- not a fan of the flash forward montage intro
- annoying how the classmate wouldn't take no for an answer

I dont understand how people have given this a 10.
Yes the chemistry is good and yes the main leads did a good job, but other than that its not good at all.
The characters and the plot are written so poorly.
We are to believe that the female lead is smart and someone who can be manipulative if needed and yet all she does is just ask her mother to give her money or she is gonna expose her but she never does. Its the same story that gets repeated over and over again. Her mother offers her money in turn for her to never talk to the male lead again, she takes the money and avoids XiXiao for a bit and then they continue hanging out like nothing happened. And then somehow she needs money again.
And as for her relationship with the male lead I dont understand how can she be so stupid as to keep these secrets from him and still decide to not expose the mother. I also dont understand how can the ml forgiver her so easily every single time. He forgives after learning that she used him, forgives her after being made to believe that she and the mother may be plotting something together and after being made to think that she is the one who ripped apart his drawing. And after all of this he still tells her that hes not going to blame her if he hears the whole truth from her and she still has the audacity to say that she doesnt want to tell him.
The adults all act like children too.

Stayed for the Minamdang Crew

I went into Cafe Minamdang expecting a fun mix of comedy, mystery, and crime.. and for the most part, it delivered on those aspects. The mystery was interesting enough to keep me curious, even if it never completely hooked me from the beginning.

Without a doubt, the highlight of this drama was the Minamdang crew. Their found-family dynamic, banter, and teamwork made the series genuinely enjoyable to watch. I also really liked the police team.. their personalities and interactions with one another added another layer of fun to the show. I often found myself looking forward to scenes with either group (Minamdang and Police Team).

Unfortunately, the biggest downside for me was the female lead. I know this will come down to personal preference, but I struggled to connect with her throughout most of the drama. While I appreciated that she was written as a strong and independent detective, I found her unnecessarily stubborn, overly biased, and often making decisions that didn't seem to match her abilities as an investigator.. because of that, many of her interactions with the male lead became frustrating rather than entertaining.

The romance was also the weakest part of the drama for me. I usually enjoy an enemies-to-lovers trope, but this one didn't feel convincing. After spending so much of the series doubting and arguing with the male lead, her romantic feelings seemed to develop very suddenly, which gave me a bit of emotional whiplash. I never got fully invested in their relationship to be honest.

The mystery itself kept me watching.. although one major reveal felt like it prioritized surprise over emotional payoff. By the end, I was mostly finishing the drama because I wanted to see how everything wrapped up rather than because I was deeply invested.

Overall, Cafe Minamdang had a lovable supporting cast, enjoyable humour, and enough mystery to keep me watching, but it was held back by a romance I couldn't connect with and a female lead that I found more frustrating than compelling.

I don't regret finishing it, but it's not a drama I'd see myself rewatching.

Not bad for one time watch but not good as well

The start of the show was really good. At first I didn’t like it but after few episodes it actually became interesting
Unfortunately what I didn’t like about the show was how they ended up the story
The show start with a funny, romance story. Goes into some mystery and more romance scenes. But right before the end they add some drama, and finish it with happy ending. To me it feels like they wanted to force that drama and happy ending together at a same time which I really didn’t like
The show is fun to watch but also super forgettable. Didn’t found anything in the show worth remembering or rewatching
P.S: I enjoyed my time watching the show but didn’t like that last 3 episodes. They could finish it better

Gorgeous production and cast, and an absolutely riveting storyline.

The actors and actresses were all visually stunning, and the cinematography of this drama is an obvious step above anything I've seen. They are gorgeous!

Romance is a slow-burn but with high chemistry and intensity, and I wish there were more spicy scenes but it's good enough.

Plot and pacing is perfect. I haven't given many shows 10/10 but I really think this one takes the cake and everything tied well together. All the main AND side characters are incredibly striking and reprised their roles well.

The real MVP though, is definitely the director Zeng Qingjie and the makeup and hair team. Everyone looked SO good.

KDrama Viewers Hypocrisy: Healing is only okay when the man does it?

Please note: Don't focus on my star ratings, as I don't care about the rating system. Focus on the actual text below.
A total waste of time.
I expected a fresh story, but it’s literally the exact same plot from a drama released last year 2025 if u know u know😉
, just gender-swapped (the lab owner is now the guy, and the girl is the corporate worker). 8 episodes down, and there is zero character development😑.
In We Are All Trying Here, when the female lead saves a depressed, defeated man, critics and viewers immediately attacked it, calling the male lead 'weak' and 'dependent on the woman's emotional labor.' 🙂
Yet in Sold Out on You, where the male lead acts as the healer and emotional support for the female lead, no one bats an eye.😃
The audience claps for the guy when he heals the girl, praising him as a 'Green Flag/Dream Guy.'

But the moment a woman uses her energy to rebuild a depressed man, they lose their minds🤨
As a woman, I’m obviously not against women, but I absolutely hate this selective hypocrisy. People cheer and clap when a guy plays the healer, but the moment the roles are reversed and a woman does the exact same thing, they get upset and start criticizing. Standards shouldn't change just because of gender

To anyone who values their time: don’t waste it on this recycled plot. Move on to something else

Teenage angst badly done

I dropped this half way through ep 19, can't take any more of this nonsense.

It's basically a bunch of teenage pretentious posers playing tough guys, the adults not being any more mature than them. The romance is so cliche it's actually cringe.

The plot is almost non-existent, it just repeats the same situations:
His father alternatively decides to keep him in his room, then let him go, then ground him again, his changes of mind being of course left unexplained.
Bad kids kidnap the FL, ML goes to rescue her and gets beaten up. 10 eps later, what happens? Yes, same thing, same gang kidnap her again, ML goes to rescue her again and gets beaten and stabbed again. At no point does it occur to him to call the police before heading off to get beaten up.

The amount of incredibly irritating details is unbearable:
FL just does the compulsory screaming and crying scene before she decides to call an ambulance.
He wakes up in hospital after being stabbed in his chest. First thing he does is asking her to help him remove his respirator, she immediately complies without a second thought to the fact that this should be a doctor's decision. He actually states there is no need to call a doctor, he knows better.
FL is shouting at ML from behind some bushes. He cannot find her by simply following her voice like any other mammal in the planet, instead he runs around in all directions except the right one.

The ML as one facial expression: broody. So does the FL: dreamy.

To top it all, the ML hairdo is so puffed up it looks like a middle aged western woman.

This is teenage angst really badly done. In fact, it only needs a little push to make it into a parody of it.

Mid Acting, Toxic Tropes, and Highly Ironic Karma for Homophobic Parents

I started watching this drama out of pure curiosity. The beginning was actually quite nice...just a cute college couple navigating life together. However, things took a sharp, bizarre turn after the breakup arc and the screwed up kidnapping plot line. From that point on, the bottom was abused in every possible way and nothing made sense ( I don't even get why he got married to that girl to begin with). Honestly, the only ending that would have made any sense was for them to separate. Instead, the top's toxic, unstable behavior was romanticized, which completely put me off.

Don't even get me started on the second leads...they were entirely unnecessary and deeply infuriating. While the second top wasn't quite as bad, the second bottom was easily one of the worst characters I've ever seen in a BL. Together, they lacked chemistry, and their scenes were just weird and cringey. The only saving grace was the accidental comedy of seeing highly homophobic parents end up with the most aggressively bottom children in history.

This show missed a great opportunity. It could have been a wholesome story about a gay couple finding their way despite a homophobic society and unsupportive parents. Instead, it devolved into a messy "dark romance" that wasn't even compelling. It was just uncomfortable to watch. Combined with highly mediocre acting, I genuinely don't understand the point of writing plots like this.

Good story, quite challenging emotionally because one minute you are shedding tears and the next you find yourself smiling. Overall individual acting was good HOWEVER can someone please cast this male lead with more mature female leads, maybe one who's wardrobe includes tailored pencil skirt suits and pencil heels with some visible make-up like red lipstick?? Maybe dress these female leads more to suite their age. This male lead looks so sophisticated even wearing track pants and a vest, besides the fact that he is just pure perfection walking and talking.I think you can see where I'm going with this request. Eventhough he is 30 and his roles match his age, the female leads just downplay his acting skills. Trust me when I say I made it my duty to watch almost all of his dramas and non of the females match his level. They look and behave more like his daughters. (My opinion and observations)

GOTHIC AF BUT REPITITIVE AND FORMULAIC

The drama leans heavy on the gothic side and thats actually what dragged me in. I love the aesthetics and costume but there are very obvious and jarring cliches in this that kept pissing me off but I must admit the drama is captivating enough for you to not drop it midway.
My main complain is from the ghost stories that occupy most of the time frame of this drama. I did like two of them which was very surprising to me because I was not expecting to like even a single one of them but really 2 of them were quite impressive especially with the imagery and direction they did leave an impact on me but the rest of them were frustratingly boring. I dont think this kind of unimpressive horror in mainstream chinese media has evolved for past 15 years. I dont understand how they keep writing the same tropes and keep employing same devices of storytelling. Even the direction and cinematography related to these so called corrupt spirits posessing people murder mystery thriller movies and dramas is just so uneasy on eyes that I feel like throwing up due to boredom.
Coming to the love story I would stay it is good but it has been destroyed by China's cosmetic industry. The female lead's face is so frozen by botox that she is actually incapable of displaying any emotions but I would still say she is a damn good actress because she still manages to convey most of the emotions by her mannerisms alone and actually botox kind of helps her to have this icy cold inhumane look which is appropriate for her character but when it comes to being emotional in love nah man she is not convincing enough. The guy also falls flat in extremely emotional scenes. i really wanted to be invested because the writer has done a good job but the immersion keeps breaking because the intensity is not well conveyed due to their frozen faces. It is such a shame because this definitely had potential. Anyways, it is a good one time watch I would say maybe just for the aesthetics.
