This drama is not like every other drama. Why? Because it is not fast paced nor has it too much drama. For someone like me who used to binge watch dramas a long time, and then got sick of all the stuff, I would recommend it to everyone else who feels the same way. This drama is sweet and slow paced. And you like to watch it with passion and are not too much afraid of the drama.

Yang Yang does a superb work in his acting. And so does Zheng Shuang. We can see both of them have the chemistry and somehow are perfect for the roles.

Xiao Nai is kinda like the handsome, a bit stalkiative ;), clever and cold Student, you just yearn for!

Wei Wei is the sweet girl from next door who has a fire in her heart that can't be stopped by whatever is coming onto her.

You guys just gotta try this out! I recommend it so badly! Watched it two times already and have it as audio books to listen in the train (I have Chinese ancestry).

I am not a heavy romance person, but this is one of the few romance drama I truly enjoyed. I ended up watching it in under a week.

Story/Characters:
My favorite part was that the romance did not contain the typical relationship drama portrayed in most of those I have seen. The addition of the characters being actually intelligent and able to work out differences through talking was refreshing. The drama does start slow but it does start to pick up later. I especially like the fact that it was a MMORPG as it was a new way to start a romance. The entire IT aspect was nice as there are very few dramas actually have characters in those areas. Characters were solid as their personality actually became a important to the story.

Cast:
I don't know the cast very much except for Yang Yang but overall I believe it was a excellent performance. I have heard of a few complaints over the more intimate scenes but it felt acceptable for me in terms of how their relationship and personality affected it.

Music:
Was not the greatest soundtrack in the world, but did not detract from the story or the characters.

Overall:
I consider this a excellent drama for is freshness and a showing a that a romance does not have to have all the ups and downs like most drama relationships. I would definitely watch it again as it renews my belief that relationships where people can put their whole trust in the other can exist

Worst Drama Ever!!!

This story started of good but i began to hate it afterwards.

First of all the female lead pisses me off so much, she is so annoying. She always just freezes when Xiao Nai kisses her and doesn't even kiss back. Also she always takes things from him, especially money, and doesn't do anything in return. I mean yes they are dating, but it gets to a point man. One thing that pissed me off a lot was how she didn't even ask her boyfriend to stay with her when she moved inn to HIS house. She was so selfish and didn't even care about her boyfriend. She also make way to many face expression and sounds. like shut up for a sec.
Sometimes (ALL THE TIME) i even wonder how Xiao Nai could like her out of all people, i don't see what's so good about her. She simps over other men INFRONT of her bf and acts to snobbishly all time time. Also she tends to ignore male lead so many times for her friend and forgives her for no reason, even after her friends have been so mean to her and her boyfriends has been an angel.
This leads me to my second point. Female lead is so nice to her friend, but her friend is rude and even annoying, (Er Zi). Er Zi is extremely rude and always blames things on Wei Wei, I think its out of jealously, which really makes me mad. She always had excuses and even denied that it was her fault for so many mistakes. Wei Wei treats her like a queen but Er Zi treats her like a bug. She is very selfish as-well. She also tries to hard to be cute and is way too loud.
My third point is that I feel so bad for Xiao Nai. He has to deal with an idiot girlfriend everyday. Plus he is so sweet always doing things for her without getting the same treatment back. He is so caring and such a green flag. He is THE CUTEST THING EVER! In all his scenes he is always giving face. I don't think Wei Wei deserves someone like him he is WAYYY to good for him. He is way out of hie league.
Also, something that bugged me was KO and Hai Mei didn't get enough screentime together. They were so cute together during the series, and I'm sad they were just a side "couple". We definitely need a series with those two together. They deserve more screen time so I'm disappointed. I want to see more of them living together and there story to become a couple! I feel the same for Cao Guong and Er Zi since they were only "shown" at the end of the series.
Overall this series was annoying and poor, the characters were awful and there was no storyline or plot at ALL. There were only a couple of cute or fun scenes. They was absolutely no drama which made it boring and the experience was terrible. I 100% DO NOT recommend this drama.

Eh

Haven't quite completed it (on ep. 24) but my biggest pet peeves with it all are the main girl, Weiwei. She's ok as an actress I guess but I wouldn't cast her as a lead. The chemistry between her and male lead, Nai, is seriously lacking. Whenever they kiss Nai is the only one making it worth the watch (he's probably a pretty good kisser in real life). He seems very serious throughout but he's supposed to be but I think he's really sweet. Weiwei on the other hand is more lively but I just don't like her as the lead. They try to show She's intelligent but they focus so much on her looks but several of the other girls in the show are prettier imo and not quite as skinny. I know it's horrible to bring up somebody's weight these days but they make a point of making it seems like she likes to eat and it's so hard to watch because all I see is someone with an illness/disorder. Basically, it's a good series but the lead actress is killing it for me

Please don't watch this. It is a complete waste of time

I have completed about 10 dramas by now. If I could me sum up Love O2O as a word, the most befitting word would be TRASH. This drama is overrated. I don't know how foolish can people be to be FANS of this 'waste of time'. Let me tell you my opinion in detail

WEI WEI

Liked-
Wei Wei is not a dumb woman like in most of the dramas. She is smart and knows how to get what she wants. Yeah she is virtuous too and handles many of her problems by herself unlike other dramas' female characters who tend to fall into problems everytime and their boyfriend comes to their rescue. Isn't that kind of portraying girls as stupid and helpless creatures??

Disliked-
In the drama, she is the ONLY female player who reached the top 10 but in an episode she is shown to be losing to Old Man Yu and again she needs her boyfriend to come to her rescue. Whenever Xiao Nai kisses her, she just stands there with her eyes open. In the first kiss one may say that okay it was an unexpected one but no, every kiss is like that, she just stands there with her eyes wide OPEN. I'm like IS THERE SOMETHING WRONG WITH YOU.

XIAO NAI

Liked-
NOTHING! ABSOLUTELY NOTHING!
I don't know why girls are so crazy after this as*hole. His looks is the only thing I might like.

Disliked-
Yeah here starts the main faults
He is a freaking GOD. Remember my words, he isn't human, he is GOD. He is perfect in every single thing and his only flaw is that he cannot COOK. Like seriously? He treats like Wei Wei like a pet dog. In the last episode Wei Wei wanted to go with her friends but that freak didn't let her go. And the worst part is that Wei Wei didn't even object his decision. KO was a professional hacker but this Xiao Nai even surpassed him. He is the Basketball Champion, he is the Swimming Champion, he is the BEST in Computer Science field, he is the TOP player in the game too. Cao Guang was the Top student of the Foreign Department but Xiao Nai is shown to be MUCH BETTER than him too. I wanna ask the script writer, "Are you NUTS? ". If that freak is so talented then tell me what is he doing in the university? Studying? Or Teaching his teachers? Let me tell you I like cold characters like Fang Leng in My Girlfriend Is An Alien, Gu Wei Yi in Put Your Head On My Shoulder, Ryan Gold in Her Private Life etc. They were cold but they turn out to be absolutely caring and warm. Also they had FLAWS. But this man is the WORST character I have ever seen. Also the other girls in that university treat him as a celebrity. Whenever he is around they crowd him amd take his photos. He is a emotionless, over-possessive, impossibly talented. He is too UNREALISTIC.

OTHER CHARACTERS -
Er Xi is extremely bubbly. She is kinda simp. She may be cute but I don't like her. Old Man Yu, Hao Mei and the other friend are the ones which made me complete the drama rather than stopping it when I started kinda hating Xiao Nai.
Xiao Nai's friends are the BEST things in the whole drama. Their friendship is impressive, which I believe everyone will agree with me. Hao Mei is the BEST character here. He is also talented, funny with a impressive character.

The PLOT is absolute sh*t. Its completely bland and you'll lose your interest in watching this drama halfway. The music is good. Wei Wei, Hao Mei and Old Man Yu are the only ones acting in the whole series. Their relationship MAY be called HEALTHY RELATIONSHIP but it is way too good to be true.
Finally, I'll say IF YOU HAVE A LOT OF TIME TO WASTE THEN WATCH IT. ITS COMPLETELY UNREALISTIC AND BORING!!

PS- This is my opinion. I know many FANS of Love O2O will disagree with me. But this drama is extremely tiring and nothing in this can ever be true!!

Finally picked a dud

I don't mind a fluffy gamer romance drama even if it has some eye-rolling and teeth-gritting parts. The King's Avatar was OK and so was Falling Into Your Smile. This one is terrible. It gets a pity two stars for the potential it started out with, good casting, and one of the background romances, but it completely blew all of my initial goodwill. I was excited for a CS major FL, and thought this drama might outdo the other two, but the way they handled her personal character arc was abysmal. Maybe the fact that The King's Avatar and Falling Into Your Smile are more recent has something to do with the gross gender politics in Love O2O, which is from 2016? Still, I don't feel like that's much of an excuse. Honestly can't believe that women co- produced/directed/wrote this. (It's got 3 screenwriters, which might explain some of its incoherence to its own setup.) I hear that the novel is better and the Japanese remake is worse, but haven't tried either. Rewatch value is not just 0 but -1 because I wish I hadn't watched it.

Yang Yang sure has nice eyebrows though!

Love, sweetness, love, technology, video games, perfect boyfriend, love…

I don’t know how to describe the feeling with this drama, at the beginning I was too connected with it, but once I finished it, the feeling was not the same. I mean, I started to think about the plot in a different way.

The story is so beautiful, even I started to read the book, and the most amazing fact is that this drama is so faithful to the book, like extremely equal.

Yang Yang character is so hot, and the dream of every woman, he is like perfect. When I think it well, this drama deserves five stars, because is great how the story inside the video game and outside of it are so well created, but the story is so simple that it looks unnecessary long. I don’t have a favorite character in this drama, although I loved how gentleman was Xiao Nai , he is the perfect boyfriend in every single way, but thinking more about it, it seems like he always was a kind of pervert or I don’t know it was a little strange see some attitudes towards Wei Wei, but still it looks so romantic and cute (it’s weird).

The best part of their romance is there’s not a single fight or something, just them being cute and a strong couple. The only thing I probably hated was the fact that Wei Wei didn’t look like she was in love with Xiao Nai, he always was kissing her, but she never kiss him back, of course it was part of her personality according to the book, but come o girl!

The story is really creative, it reminded me of an anime called Sword Art Online somehow, maybe because they filmed it as if they actually enter the game world for real!! When the guy (I forgot his name so I would just call him the guy)  said he was preparing for his wedding was really cute as if he would be married in real life, it was just a game bruh LOL!! This drama is actually the first Chinese drama I watched after a very long time, and it got me completely HOOKED again!! and now I gotta find similar dramas to this one ASAP T.T

I have no complaint about this drama except that maybe if they can find a better actress for the main girl?? I don't dislike her, don't get me wrong it just that her acting was pretty stiff and seemed a little bit forced here :((  BUT still highly recommended!!

Story: A sweet and light love story. The difference? The focus on online games which gave the drama some fantasy element and the interaction between friends living in the campus. If you are saturated with too many complicated love stories, this is the drama that will give you a breath of fresh air. You'll find yourself smiling most of the time. One smile = alluring. Many smiles = Excellent! My congratulations to the writer who also happened to author Shan Shan Comes to Eat - another nice sweet romance drama worth your time. I'm off to re-watch it now!

Acting/Cast: At first I was a bit worried when Zheng Shuan was cast in the role of Wei Wei. The novel described Wei Wei as a beautiful young woman with the perfect body and frankly speaking, Zheng Shuan's not the best around when it comes to having curves where curves should be. The movie version of this drama cast Angelababy as Wei Wei which was closer to the description of Wei Wei in the novel. So, having watched the movie first - I had to adjust to seeing a mediocre-looking Wei Wei in the drama but after a few episodes, it became a non-issue as the story took precedence. The shining star here is Yang Yang. His boyish charm shone through. He alone pulled through the chemistry with his leading lady when Zheng Shuan was a little stiff to start with. Watch out for those scenic and romantic scenes....and kisses! The dialogues were also excellent!

I first watched this in like March and finished it in April and I absolutely loved it esp Xiao Nai since he was so hot and perfect plus it was my first cdrama, only problems I had were with Er Xi with her annoying self and the kisses.
Fast forward a couple months to like July or August and I decided to rewatch it.

Big mistake I actually cant stand this drama anymore
Xiao Nai is still hot but way too perfect (I mean i'd still date but I want a little bit of reality happening)

Wei Wei was hard to watch the second time, I thought she was pretty at first but she looks so skull like in the drama like eat something.

The brickwall kisses still make me cringe its sad watching hotness make out with a wall smh.

Dont get me started on Er Xi I literally cannot stand that bish like Wei Wei drop her ass NOW. You are that stupid that you literally forget a username and decide to use your friends (red flag 1), You basically abuse a cat that already looks like its bout ready to jump out its fur and wonder why it bites you (red flag 2), You use your popular friends account and when people think that your Wei Wei, you blame her for it (red flag 3), You ruin school property for a project and try to blame it on someone else who tried to stop you and wonder why you have to pay the bill for it (red flag 4). Wei Wei its time to drop her.

I also dont understand how that girl made it into a college that prestigious? Like everyone pretty much knows not to turn on a device when there is liquid in it, and even if you dont know someone in her major should literally know that if someone not majoring in computer stuff knows that.

My main point is rewatching this made me realize how unrealistic this is and the only relationship i stan is Hao Mei and KO

This is what you call a HEALTHY relationship

I love love LOVE the fact that both of the main couple are so understanding and have amazing communication and chemistry and dont jump to conclusions when drama arises.the fact that the ML didnt believe any of those villains lies and only believed weiwei shows how much he trusts her and i love the fact that weiwei actually TELLS THE TRUTH WHEN ASKED A QUESTION. I hate FL that hide problems from ML for no reason, if your in a relationship you need to have communication. And this couple actually proved that! She tells him who meets her, what she says to the person, and doesnt leave info out. She tells the whole truth without hiding important details. And no misunderstanding break ups half way because of no trust and communication.i also like that when xiao gets jealous he doesnt get possesive but just quietly hints that hes jealous and he doesnt take that jealousy to heart. And the chemistry is just off the charts. The only thing i didnt like is the way weiwei kisses, Xiao kisses with passion but weiwei.. kinda is just a fish and not even moving her mouth... its not that bad tho. This is one of the best cdramas ive watched.i highly recommend it if you want a couple with alot of chemistry with no sad break ups, and drama that doesnt affect their love AT ALL. A healthy relationship.

Storyline was basic.

I liked the movie version with Angelababy a lot better. ML and FL no chemistry between the two. The movie was far more entertaining. Yang Yang always seems too tense and I always think he looks like a poodle when I look at him in dramas. Arrogant and wooden in his character persona and expressions are lifeless. Too bad I have seen a lot of his dramas and his characters are always the same. 🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱🥱
