For me, Love O2O is a light, fluttering, college romance drama. I liked how mature the relationship between Xiao Nai and Bei Wei Wei despite having almost everyone around them against it. They never fought and they were so cute. The story is as predicted, prettiest girl + hottest guy, it is more realistic than the cliche: hottest guy and the ordinary one. I liked the friendships they had with their dormmates, the interactions and the funny scenes they had. Storywise, I'm giving it a 10/10 because I liked how simple and realistic it is, I liked seeing them in love (though they never exchanged ???), I liked the simple complications, the friendships and everything that happened in the story.
For the acting, I liked how Yang Yang portrayed the perfect character Xiao Nai, perfectly. A fictional character set the bar too high again. I'm pretty sure Xiao Nai is everyone's ideal guy. Let's just say the looks and skills are just plus points, the main reason why I really liked him is he is mature, soft, kind, understanding and gentle. Yes he is cold, but it's only to the girls who liked him and that's another plus points! It just shows that he will never look at anyone. Notice how he was to his friends, to his family and even to Beng Wei Wei's friends. He is really perfect!
As for Zhen Shuang, she is really pretty but I don't find it to that extent where everyone is almost drooling at you. She's really beautiful but everyone seems overreacting as if she was an angel that fell. She's also a little stiff and awkward. Plus everyone calls her sexy but I find her really thin? No hate, I love her and I loved how she portrayed the character. I'm just saying the flaw I've noticed. I don't know if it's the actress or the character Bei Wei Wei that didn't win me over.
The music was catchy but it was nice. I kept on remembering Love O2O whenever I insert my USB in the laptop because of the music it made. There was one OST that caught me but it was played in near the end part.
I would definitely rewatch it over and over again. But maybe I'll be skipping the part inside the online game. It was like a story inside a story. There were also a lot of side characters, not that I complain of, but I find it hard to remember that I kept on searching who's who. Until now that I finished all the episodes the only people I can remember are Xiao Nai, Bei Wei Wei, Erxi and KO.
For overall, I was satisfied with the drama. Well there may be few flaws but spending 3 days was worth it.

Too many thoughts on this drama
Where do I begin? I feel like I have so many thoughts about this drama but I can't list them all without relaying the entire show.As soon as the theme song began I was like, 'yeah, this is gonna be good.' For the most part I really enjoyed watching it but I cannot say it's one of my favs.
The plot was pretty basic with some minor twists and turns, making it very easy to watch. There are quite a lot of episodes that I think if I had have missed a few, it wouldn't have mattered.
Xiao Nai was such a smooth talker, but the way he looked at Weiwei gave me the feels. And the final episode omg! Also, the way he would kiss Weiwei was like WOW. Like he reallyyyyy knew what he was doing. On the other hand XD, Weiwei kind of always just stood there. I read a review where someone said she looked like a dead fish standing there and now I can't get that out of my brain. Also, why do some actors keep their eyes open???
Weiwei was your pure and innocent typical nice girl. There was something about the actress that kept throwing me off. The way she would sigh and move her eyes over the screen when she was playing the game reminded me of an anime character. Also, every time she spoke, it didn't look like what she was saying matched up with the movement of her mouth (if that makes sense; the sound was disjointed). Maybe I just have a dodgy computer, but I didn't notice this with any of the other characters.
I really liked Weiwei's friend Erxi; she is too cute! I felt so sad and sorry for her when she broke down after everyone kept mistaking her for being Luwei Weiwei. The girls who came to her workplace were so mean. It made me tear up at one point.
I also like all of Xiao Nai's friends. They seemed like really good guys and they were always happy and fun.
I found it very hard to wrap my head around the fact that people can think just because they're married in a game, means that they're into the person on the other side of the screen. Like what? It's just a game. People get wayyyy too invested in it lmao.
Cao Guang is on a whole another level. Like, 'IT'S A GAME!' He got so fixated on the thought that Weiwei was Erxi's avatar. When he confronted Weiwei and she was like, 'bruh, what are you even talking about?' I was lmao like exactly. He's all, 'Why are you two-timing people?' Honey, one - you don't even know her; and two - you're referring to an in-game spouse. A game!!! I just can't.
Boy was I glad when Weiwei bet all of them girls at the meetup and proved that she was Luewi weiwei, and then when Xiao Nai arrives to pick her up. Damn, that was so good!
I thought the game characters were developed well, in the sense that they looked like they were part of a game. If this had have been some high fantasy drama, I would have thought the effects were bad. It really did seem like they were game characters.
I felt like it was a bit cringe at times, especially in the beginning, but it never really let up for me. When Weiwei and Xiao Nai officially met, of course it was going to be a little awkward, but I feel like the awkwardness carried on a for while.
Can we talk about the amount of staring we have to go through? It is just unreal. Minutes on end I watched people staring into one another's eyes. I swear this drama could have been cut down by one whole episode if someone had have done some editing.
I was satisfied with the ending. I liked how it wrapped up in the place where Xiao Nai first noticed Weiwei and we got to see the flashback. That was cute.
Overall, I'm glad I watched this iconic masterpiece, if you will. I feel like I have so many more thoughts but this is enough to share.

I really did love the story line and I liked it enough to watch a 2nd time. However, the female lead was really not the right person for that roll. She was cold and stiff and next to Yang Yang didn't seem to really put her heart into the romance. She may as well been kissing a brick. Also the actress playing the part of Arsie was beyond annoying. The remaining cast was outstanding especially Yang Yang who really did such a great job it made me wonder if he wasn't a true computer scholar. I've since watched the Love 020 movie and thought it was really well done considering it was up against a 30 episode series done in an hour and a half. Both the male and female leads did an outstanding job in their rolls. I wish they had made it a little longer. Was this review helpful to you?
The refreshingly strong male and female lead with the lack of any real competition helped me just enjoy the story. For those that are new to Chinese dramas, this is a good one to watch. There is no miscommunication between the leads, which was quite nice. The connection the game brought to the atmosphere deserves a win from me. The development of the characters is not as apparent and arguably not existent but don't let that take anything away from your experience. For what it was meant to be, a lighthearted love story, it did its job.
The OST was refreshing and a pleasure to the ears. Knowing the cast sings it makes it so much better. Some of the songs are super addictive and sort of stick.
Though you can easily pick apart all its flaws, I choose not to. The simple romance and silly bromance combined with the storyline make this a good watch. The rewatch value is also huge in my opinion. But if you are not into romance (that isn't all it is) then this might not be the one for you, though it doesn't hurt to give it a go anyway. I just really liked how the leads weren't fighting over the smallest things and actually understood/supported each other.
I am but a simple mind and so I don't mind taking the extra time to watch something like this. The cast's chemistry, smile, and overall funny moments were enough for me.

Okay if you’re a game lover
I’m from UK and watching a lot of Asian dramas I can see online gaming is big business so it was a bit challenging to write a review. Didn’t like the way it came over that men seem smarter than women, so that was a mark down for me to start with. Found it confusing at times as the online characters seemed the same as the gamers, and having watched my son play online games he seems to pick online characters that he would like to be in real life, so following this story it seemed that the romance was online as well as in reality. Hmm! Confused yeah. The ML I’ve watched before, funnily enough in another gaming story The King’s Avatar and for me the actor Yang Yang has come across to me as one dimensional in both series as cold and arrogant, a trait I hate. No, this wasn’t for me and as some of the characters, especially male, weren’t that likeable so sorry can’t be objective about this, hence my low ratingWas this review helpful to you?

Drama Free Love!
This is such a sweet love story filled with fluff & cheese but I still love it. 😍 It’s one of my go to comfort drama rewatches. The Leads are so great together. Once they fall for each other, that’s it. No matter how many wanna-be love rivals come on scene, these two just keep being upfront and sending them on their way. I love how they never leave any room for doubts or misunderstandings. When “issues” arise, they talk stuff through in a respectful manner. Very refreshing!
They’re sweet and quirky; supportive and encouraging. They’re loyal and true; protective and caring. They make each other a priority and refuse to let outside forces influence their relationship.
They’re a good example of an online relationship transitioning perfectly into a real life love. I won’t say too much, though, as seeing that develop is the fun of watching the show. 🤗
My only complaint would be the fish kisses. Whyyyy must that be a thing? Seriously, people don’t actually kiss like that in real life (or at least I sure hope they don’t!!!) It’s not like they needed to have some steamy, make out sessions. I’m fine keeping it sweet and innocent, but if there’s gonna be kiss scenes then BOTH parties should be participating. Otherwise it seems like the stiff, awkward one isn’t really attracted to their partner (and I’m saying that for all dramas of all nationalities, not just this specific show!) The FL’s lack of response really ruined some tender moments, so I def wish I could just snap my fingers and fix that part, haha. Even with that complaint, though, l’m still happy with the show.
Oh, I guess another tiny annoyance I had was also with the FL’s bestie - the way she handled the situation and her treatment of the FL because of it was all really immature and selfish, imho. I know friends fight but that? That was just petty and juvenile… (again, can’t say much without giving too many spoilers). I’m glad there was resolution fairly quickly and they left the drama behind. I just wish that trope had been executed differently. 🤪
Have you watched it? What’s your opinion - like it or not really your style?

I watched it in less than a week because I kept watching compulsively.
Episodes have just the right length, it does not drag.
The main couple was adorable, their friends were fun and the game sequences so much fun.
Also... I loved how much Nai and WeiWei trusted each other. Once they got together there was no room for doubts between them and they always had each other's back
The background of the game business was different. And I loved how they wrapped pretty much all the characters.
