When a Snail Falls in Love Episode 8

During questioning of Shiyong, they discover that he received a text from Zixi but she was already dead, then in a panic he packed up all his stuff to hide their relationship. When Ji Bai looks at the time of the text he notices that the time matched up his text from Zixi and realizes that someone was trying to frame Shiyong hoping Ji Bai would find him at the crime scene. They have ruled out Shiyong and then start to suspect Ye Qiao and starts to question her. During a break of the interrogation Ji Bai goes out for a smoke which Xu Xu accompanies him. Instead of lecturing him of the unhealthy habit she asks to be in charge of his lighter for then she can know when he is at his emotional limit. This seems to piss Ji Bai off and he ignores her concern and goes back in to finish questioning Ye Qiao.By the end of their interrogation Ye Qiao admits that she killed Ye Zixi because more of her jealousy added onto her affair with her husband. After the interrogation Ji Bai goes out for a smoke and then hands Xu Xu his lighter accepting her deal to help monitor his emotional state during this tough time.
