I always loved the web novel and was glad it was made into a web show with such a stellar star cast and high budget. The show didn't disappoint at all and if anything was even better than the web novel too.The characters and their backstories be it the good guys or bad ones were given a good time to help build the hype for final episodes. The cast and the chemistry between them was amazing , HHJ proved again why she is one of the best actresses as she nailed both roles of a young agent and a mother who has a teenage son.I won't be comparing the VFX/CGI to the shows in Hollywood but for a k drama they exceeded my expectations with flying colors.

They really upped the ending as compared to the web novel be it destroying the school or new superpowered characters and a nice tease for S2 in the post credits. Everyone deserved what they got.
There were a few issues i had in the end as i wanted DS's family reunion to be a little bit more and not just a few seconds as it looked rushed and didn't give a high emotional impact I wanted . I also kind of hoped for BS to take HS flying just like his dad did with his mom would have been a nice throwback.

It is the best superhero kdrama produced till now and I hope for more if they go for S2 as they teased in the end.

Mind blown!!!

Warning! sensitive soul refrain from watching as it is a violence heavy show.

I came across this drama thanks to a short on YouTube and decides on a whim to watch an episode. It's fair to say that I binged the whole thing.
I fell in love with everything. The plot is quite original and interesting on it's own, add to that a good script, a good directing, it would be solid enough. But no, they gave us phenomenal acting, every actors were well casted, they were sympathetic yet also very much endearing.

There is no great dichotomy between which side is good or bad. Those are people who have their own motives, their own philosophy, their own story to tell.
Some people complain about the amount of flashback, and it's their right, but for me, it was the highlight of the show.
The youth's stories was great but the parent's stories even better.

I would like to sincerely recommend this drama to everyone, this is an emotional trip that will make you want more.

BESTBEST BEST

omg this drama has everything.
romance, action, thriller, family, friendship, heartbreak
everything is so meticulously thought out and planned
the last episode made me cry just by how much emotion was evoked out of me
i cannot even put into words how much i love this drama
actors are impeccable
- it is a little funny that the grown adults play their young selves, but it does noT change the sincerity at all
makes me wonder how someone thought of this storyline at all
i have seen an obscene amount of dramas and this has to be the best
20 episodes is not too long and not too short
highly recommend!!

The best Korean Drama ever and one of the best live-actions ever produced, period.

Sure, my headline may not be to everyone's taste, but I have no doubts this is one of the best live-action shows ever made.

We all know the Japanese are the masters of live-action, with awesome movies and dramas such as Rurouni Kenshin, I want to eat your pancreas, Death Note, Tokyo Revengers, to name a few. The West have a few too, with the Avengers trilogy being at the forefront as part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Just looking at the shows named above means that it will take a lot to make a new live-action that is on par with those mentioned above, and South Korea isn't really known for their live-action shows.

That has all changed with Moving. This is the groundbreaking one, the series that finally breaks the ceiling for Korean Cinema, the one allows Korean to proudly proclaim "we can produce live-action films and dramas too, and a damn good one as well".

Based on the story by Kang Full, a popular Korean manhwa artists, this drama basically tells the story of a group of superpowered human and their children.

The way their story is told is non-conventional and this actually adds a lot to it's charm.

With multiple Baeksang Arts Award (the highest and most prestigious film, drama and theater honours in South Korea) winning actors and actresses such as Han hyo-joo, Jo In-sung, Ryu Seung-ryong, Ryoo Seung-bum, Cha Tae-hyun, Kim Sung-kyun, Moon Seung-keun, Kim Shin-rok and Yang Dong-geun, you can be assured that acting quality will not even be an issue to be discussed. (I have to confess, this is probably the first and the only time you will ever see 9 Baeksang award winners in a single show, except for award ceremonies of course. If this isn't a reason in itself to watch this show, I don't know what is).

You will be able to witness spectacular performances, most notably from Ryu Seung-ryong and Han Hyo-joo. I dare say, even at this stage, these 2 actors will be the frontrunners for awards at the next Baeksang Arts Award.

The most unique part of this series is that this isn't your typical superhero show. There's no "let's all go save the world" overused plots. In facts, it's almost as if the superhuman beings in this show never wanted to be heroes in the first place. They just want to live as normal human beings with their family members. Whether they are able to do so and for how long is the crux of the story.

To tell a superhero story is easy. We have an abundance of films and dramas on them already (marvel cinematic universe, DC cinematic universe etc etc). To tell a superhero story that is centered so much on family, parent-child and schoolmates relationships is on the other hand, not that easy. A wrong touch and it may end up as a bore. Moving however managed to do it with applause.

This is a show not to be missed. It is a masterpiece for the ages.

PS : Keep you eyes wide open. There are quite a few easter eggs here and there.

Topnotch story, amazing ensemble acting superstars and perfect direction

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 5/5! Highly recommended to watch with its intricate storytelling, character depth, acting performances, emotional resonance, and the finale's nonstop action!

This is the best webtoon turned Korean superhero TV series for me (I think this is also the Best Korean Drama this year.)
Han Hyoo Joo, Ryu Seung Ryong, Jo In Sung, Go Yun Jung, and almost all other casts including even the villains are fantastically written. The webtoon writer Kang Full is also the same as their screenwriter so you can imagine how top-notch writing was overwhelmingly done.

It's like John Wick, Xmen, and Crazy Little Thing Called Love movies are all rolled into one. If you haven't joined the craze over this series, please see for yourself.

Best Part of the Series:

- Han Hyo Joo and Jo In Sung's electrifying chemistry. Can anyone please hear me when I say, these two should have another separate K-Series?
- Ryu Seung Ryong's dramatic chop. I will say in advance he will win the Daesang with that performance.
- Go Yung Jung's acting. She is one of the rookie actresses I think will really become someone very popular in the future.
- Han Hyo Joo's chameleon acting talent. She just played a school student (in a flashback scene) for the series Happiness and just a couple of months after ending taping the show, she is acting already as a mom. And boy, her acting is soooo believable.

Fave scenes:

- When Lee Jaeman unleashed the hell out of nowhere and beat 2 powerful North Koreans to a pulp that they couldn't even fight back. Imagine if Kang Hoon gets proper training to be as strong as his dad.
- 2 Daddies of the Year Ju Won and Jae Man teaming up!
- Lee Mi Hyun shows the true range of her superhuman senses. She has more kills in the finale than the rest. Mother is truly mothering.
- Kim Bongseukie and Heesoo's late tactic against the flying villain
- The villain's helpless and pitiful backstories.

“Moving” isn’t just another superhero drama — it’s a masterpiece that redefines what the genre can be. While it features breathtaking action and supernatural abilities, at its core, it’s a deeply human story about love, sacrifice, and the bond between parents and children. It’s not about power; it’s about what we do with it.

The series shines because it grounds its fantasy in emotion. Each episode peels back layers of its characters, revealing ordinary people carrying extraordinary burdens. The way their stories intersect — from the mysterious students with hidden abilities to the parents who will do anything to protect them — is beautifully written and profoundly moving.

The cast delivers exceptional performances across the board. Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, and Zo In-sung are phenomenal, portraying strength and vulnerability with equal grace. Their chemistry radiates warmth and humanity, even in the most intense moments. The younger cast also deserves praise — their innocence and courage bring emotional balance to the darker themes.

The production is top-tier. The cinematography captures both grandeur and intimacy, while the action sequences are fluid, visceral, and emotionally charged. The soundtrack complements the storytelling perfectly, heightening both tension and tenderness.

What truly sets “Moving” apart is its heart. It doesn’t glorify violence or spectacle; instead, it celebrates empathy, family, and resilience. It’s rare for a show to make you cry one moment and cheer the next — but “Moving” does exactly that.

A stunning, emotional triumph that reminds us: heroes aren’t born from power, but from love.

Incredible!

I didn't know what to expect with Moving since I hadn't read the webtoon but what a pleasant surprise it turned out to be! I can't believe it's already come to an end. Every episode offers so much detail to the plot.

It is a well-rounded show with loads of action, special effects, sweet romance, heart-wrenching emotional moments and beautiful stories of parents and their children. There's also a sprinkling of humor here and there. In short, it has something for everyone. There is an excellent development of characters with their backstories including many of the negative ones. That was an especially nice touch that we don't commonly see.

The only drawback for me was sometimes I felt the story was moving a bit slow for my liking (pun not intended). And maybe some might find this to have a lot of gore. Some of the fights can be a bit brutal and hard to watch. But the way the individuals use their powers to their advantage really made the action sequences both shocking and entertaining.

All the stories come full circle in such a perfect way towards the end however it also leaves us with some shocking revelations.

The score and the OST was quite good.

There's a deeper political message that raises the question in minds of the audience - who's battle are we really fighting? I hope more people add this to their watchlist. It's worth it!

A Perfect Masterpiece

Story: The story revolves around parents and their children who both have superpowers. It revolves around the relationship between them and what the parents would do to protect and keep their children safe.

Characters: This story involves multiple main characters, the focus changes from one character to other in every few episodes.

Kim Bong Seok: He is a very well mannered adorable guy who has power to fly and has super five senses.

Jang Hee Soo: She is a girl who has ability to heal herself really quick. She is very determined and can't stand injustice.

Jang Joo Won: He is the father of Hee Soo with same power for whom his daughter is everything. He is also funny and clueless with directions.

Li Mi Hyun: She is the mother of Bong Seok and has super five senses. She has been raising her son alone for many years and is very protective of him. She is also someone with no nonsense attitude.

Lee Kang Hoon: He is in same school and grade as Bong Seok and Hee Soo. He has superhuman strength and speed. He is quite and likes to be on his own but also wants to be friends with people like him.

Kim Doo Shik: He is the father of Bong Seok and husband of Mi Hyun. He has the power to fly and was top agent of NIS. He is very loving, awkward sometimes and caring person.

Lee Jae Man: He is the father of Jang Hoon and is mentally disabled. He is very loving father and husband who will destroy anyone who try to harm his wife or son. He has super human strength and speed.

There are many other characters as well, few with powers and others are just normal. Above are the some main characters who had great involvement in the story.

Actor: Every actor played the role they were given as if it was made for them. They had great chemistry with eachother and knew how to act on a greenscreen.

Genres:
The main focus are Action, Thrill, Mystery, Family and Friendship.
This also involves two great romances between the parents and also a slight growing feelings between Bong Seok and Hee Soo. There are some comedy scenes as well and also has a good amount of Gore.

Likes:
1. Great relationship between the parents and their children. The parents are very supportive and protective of their kids where as the children loves their parents very much, has respect for them and would try to make their parents life happy.
2. Friendship between Bong Seok and Hee Soo. They quickly became friends who trust eachother very much that they share their deepest secrets as well. They are very protective and supportive of eachother and it is shown that they also like eachother.
3. Amazing action. The action scenes are filled with many one on one fights and one vs many fights. Which makes the good guys(parent) really cool. Last three episodes were full action packed and had really good fights. Kim Doo Shik's action scenes are something you should look forward to.
4. Amazing Romance: Even though this is not a romance drama we have two beautiful and heartfelt love stories between Kim Doo Shik-Lee Mi Hyun and Jang Joo Won-Hwang Ji Hee(JW's wife).
5. Great direction and story telling.
6. Many "Bad guys" aren't actually bad but they are same as our main characters who are forced to do things by some people. You can sympathise and will feel for them.
7. People with superpowers are not superheroes but are just human beings.
8. A very good, happy and satisfying ending.
Special mentions: Beautiful relationship between Jae Man and Kang Hoon, Gye Doo and his backstory, well placed mystery and thrill and very well done backstories.

Dislikes: There is nothing to dislike. Maybe the episodes could have been a little bit more longer.

Overall: This is a great drama with everything in it, you will cry, smile, feel sad, happy, feel for the bad guys, even root for small characters. The story is told in a well systematic manner with timely inclusion of flashbacks and backstories.

Cast related random thoughts:
Go Youn Jung: She is very talented actor who is also very beautiful. She could become a big star like Han Hyo Joo in future.
Zo In Sung: Even though he was present in less than 7 episodes he did a great job . This shows that actors like him don't mind not getting much screentime if the character they are playing is very appealing.
Kim Sung Kyun: Whenever he is present he becomes the highlight of the scene. Same as In Sung.
This drama involves three A listers and as expected you will get a stellar performance not only by them but also by the new upcoming actors.

Writers did the most

Yes it is good, novel, epic, and quite enjoyable. The only negative is also the downfall because the writers did too much.

First of all it is a risky move to set up a show/movie and have you form attachments and interest only to make the rest of the movie a flashback and never see the main characters again to the end. Imo it never works, and undermines all the creative and detailed plot; but it kind of works here but still enough to be it's undoing.

I like that the writers room had a very detailed history for even the most irrelevant characters but you have to pick and choose what to keep on the screen and a lot of it was unnecessary to be filmed in such detail for this format. I'm sure they already condensed and cut a lot we didn't see but it felt like three different shows crammed into one without doing justice to the ones I was invested in.

I do think it's worth watching for it's novelty but just know what you're getting into.

Brilliant characters and backstories, but confusing antagonists

I loved how character-focused this show was; though the multiple flashback-only episodes might seem long, I think these episodes actually turned out to be my favorite episodes in the entire show. All the parents have such interesting backstories and the romances add so much to their characters. With the characters so fleshed out, the relationship dynamics are all really strong, particularly the familial themes — in all three families.

Where the show sort of hiccups for me is the actual action plot. It starts out very promising, with one antagonist leading the charge as they work their way through the super-powered people. As we get more information about the parents' backstories, however, the drama introduces more and more antagonists. There are more layers to the South Korean government, and then there's North Korea, and I feel like the main mission is never really clear. The antagonists get some last minute flashbacks and developments too, which I couldn't really bring myself to care for because it was just too late and the characters were too minor.

I commend this drama for pursuing a style and genre I don't think kdramas have ever ventured in before, but I wish the conflicts were a little more focused.

Probably the best kdrama in 2023!!

Kalau ada yg bilang cerita superheroes Amerika kalah, kayaknya ada benernya sih. Nggak sekedar "adu kekuatan", Moving ini juga sarat drama yg meaningful (you know, kadang ada bumbu drama yg ala kadarnya). Jadi, antara action & dramanya tuh pas, balance. Back story-nya kuat. Tentu saja akting para pemainnya nggak perlu diragukan karena banyak bintang besar. Tapi yang patut diapresiasi adalah para aktor mudanya yg surprisingly bagus-bagus (Lee Jong-ha yg meranin Bong-seok tuh belum terlalu sering akting lho!). Bagi yg suka cerita semacam Heroes (US Series rilisan 2006-2010), pasti bakal suka Moving. Kalau mau coba nonton, kelarin sampai episode 7 dulu, baru deh boleh nge-judge 😝 Mungkin bakal ada yg ngerasa alurnya lambat, but trust me, itu semua ngaruh ke cerita!
