Sadly a waste of time.
ok so I saw a short preview of this drama and thought it would be a good watch. but wow. the side characters are so incredibly annoying lol. the main leads took forever to get something going. the female lead had a horrible wig all show. The story was a mess and it made no sense most of the time. sometimes I felt like I must have accidentally skipped some episodes or something because I was so lost. I won’t be rewatching this one. BTW I love the male lead but this just wasn’t a good drama IMO..Was this review helpful to you?
The couple was adorable and I especially loved the leading lady. She wasn't the typical naive, young and cute girl who is overhyped and childish. On the contrary, she was strong willed and she wasn't intimidated by her boss. I also liked how she took care of him, as he was hopeless sometimes, or let him take care of her. That said, their dynamics were great and they had tons of chemistry. However, a small note about the leading lady's hair : why did she had to wear a wig??? It was okay at first, but it was noticable later on, as they were trying to pull off some other hairstyles. I mean, it wasn't a deal breaker, but it was kind of silly and messed with the aesthetics, as the actress was really pretty. The love triangle was also a bit annoying, as the second lead was, lets say, not a nice guy. And the girl didn't really want him. The second couple though was cute. Finally, the performances were great.
So, overall, seven out of ten. The drama was cute and had a fluff, light story, however, towards the end, it was a bit tiring, but only at the final episodes.

Draggy at the start, but super sweet near the end.
I feel like this drama could have been so much more if they cut some scenes at the beginning, I'd say the romance and drama really, really starts at episode 15. Prior to that, it's little sneak peeks but I didn't like that the focus was not on the main 2 leads. Thus, the rewatch value rating is quite low because of the front portions of the drama. I get that they want to develop a universe of interrelated characters, but making the viewer wait till episode 15 feels a little much.Overall, the tone is light and fluffy, some parts humorous, as with most office romance dramas. I liked Xia Ke's character but I did think they did Bai Lu dirty with the hairdo they gave her throughout the show. I would have given this ONE watch but I definitely won't watch again. Overall, if you're looking for a filler drama without much intensity, this could be it.

The Wig!
Another completely biased review from me to you.For the review I could just write 'The Wig! That godawful wig! She wore it every day. It was never washed or brushed. She wore it sleeping, She wore it in the rain. She wore it in the wind. She wore it pulled back into a ponytail. She wore it while showering. She even wore for her wedding?' 😱
That could be the end of the review right there! Who in the world was the stylist on this? Was it supposed to be an ironic statement of some kind? 😏
I guess you could say I hate-watched this more than anything. I adore Xing Zhao Lin and I am watching him in the Quirky and the Charming right now. That show is oh so funny! The FL in the Quirky and the Charming is the best he has starred with I think. This show on the other hand....
The ML was his typical smart handsome arrogant CEO character. He just does those so well! He always looks good in everything he does. The FL on the other hand. 🙄
The FL was not just not intelligent, but dumb as a stump! Bad choices should be her middle name. Like taking a taxi late at night somewhere into the country on a dark night and having the taxi driver saying he can't find the address so the FL says ok just drop me off here. At the side of the road. In the middle of nowhere. At night. By herself. Yeah, well you know that would end well cause the neighborhood human traffickers showed up to try and grab her. Wait, what? Yeah.🤔
The FL is pretty incompetent at work, doesn't really seem to do much of anything but take care of the ML. Like a nanny. But she asks for and is given the job to be a planner for a mobile game. Well, not a mobile game but a dungeon for a mobile game? They totally lost me on that one! What the heck is a dungeon? Well, besides the obvious!😕
So the FL spends all her time whining and fucking things up while complaining to other people about the CEO. Usually where he can hear her. Not to mention the obligatory oops I sent this text message complaining about my boss to the entire company instead of my friend. Yeah, real smart FL 🫣
The ML spends all of his time being an arrogant dick to the FL while also bailing her out of all her troubles. There are a couple of other guys after the FL at one time or another. And the typical deranged psycho chick after the ML.🥱
The FL dresses like a middle-aged housewife doing a midnight run to Walmart. All of the time! I really cringed when the FL walked into a swanky reception where everyone was dressed to kill in her short shorts and tennis shoes! 😶The wig of course doesn't help but the clothes are just awful too. I don't know why, for some reason stylists always seem to dress Bai Lu up in just awful clothes in modern dramas. I think that's why I prefer her in historical dramas, she is just so beautiful! But in modern dramas, it's always short-shorts, short skirts, weird dresses and shirts with strange hems and bindings and cutouts to them. The saving grace to her look on this show is there was no beret! For anyone who has seen her modern dramas there is always a beret! I guess it couldn't fit properly over that wig?😂
There's not a lot of heat. There are I think 4 decent kisses between the FL and ML? So even though there is barely any contact between the 2 (hells they don't even walk beside each other and hold hands, they are like covid distance away). The 4 kiss scenes they have were quite enthusiastic!😘
Anyhow, would I recommend it? If you go into it knowing that it's pretty awful and you want something light that you can laugh at go for it.😁

Could have been better but not unwatchable
This drama could have been done better with a more rapid growth of relationship and emotional maturity on the part of the ML character, he really had to have things explained to him repeatedly before he understood and changed. I blame the writers for repeatedly making male characters soooo out of touch with their feelings that it takes a brick to the head sometimes to break their shell open. (the first half of the drama especially!)The actor and actress can only do as good as the script lets them do, and you can see the potential that XZL has an actor if he can just break out of these roles that don't suit his range. When he's paired with a good leading lady he can make it work, but this isn't his strong suit and when he's paired with a mediocre one it shows.
Thankfully the kisses were on fire because Bai Lu can match the energy of her co-stars intuitively and it makes them both give a better performance. Their chemistry towards the second half of the series picked up steam but kept getting knocked back down by the writers putting up ridiculous roadblocks.
Hey writers, we don't want to just see them get together and that is the end, we want to go on the first dates, we want to see them hold hands, we want to see them struggle to juggle work and romance balance...ie sometimes he is the boss and has the final say and sometimes he's your boyfriend and you are equals and how to make that work for you both happily. We want the mushy 15 minute dates you have to cram in to keep the romance going in between important business issues, staying up late together to finish one last big project before launch ect.
Give us the life that happens in between the "we are finally a couple" and the "I want to marry this person and have my happy ever after" finale.
My finale opinion is that this is a 6/10 that could have been a solid 8 or 8.5 if the first half hadn't had the FL start with zero experience and just jump into a random "relationship" because of nonsensical reasons that only made any sense if you thought about it from a plot point instead of "this is something real humans would do" point.

This was a very cute, sweet and uncomplicated drama. The story was extremely easy to follow with no major issue lasting more than three episodes. I actually believe that this story had so many parts that I don’t really think was necessary for the development of the story, but it is what it is. The idea of Xing Yin needing to experience romance in order to do these game instances was comical to me. My favorite moments were when Xing Yun would scold Xia Ke about how as a couple they shouldn’t keep secrets and communicate with each. I feel like the last four episodes were a bit unnecessary and the issue of the investment was very drawn out. Matter of fact, I know I don’t know much about business, but like he’s filthy fucking rich as we are told in the later episodes, could he not invest his own money?Story aside, we had a range of typical characters, but we had a cast that did wonderful in making you enjoy each of them. I admit that this is my second time seeing Zhao Lin, but I don’t have much comparison because in the drama I first saw him in, his character was very similar. However, Xia Ke, as stubborn and egotistical and patriarchal as he was, still had his cute moments; namely whenever he was around Xing Yun. Xing Yun, was a sweet, headstrong woman and I didn’t find her irritating at all. Well actually that one time she tried that self-sacrificing and fake dating bullshit. I thought his sister was sweet and the actress reminds me of Bai Bai He and I think they should be sisters in a drama. He Yu was kinda annoying if I’m being honest, but still cute. I LOVED Yao Qing!! I loved that she was this bad ass bitch and she knew her worth and what she stood for and that even though she love Xia Ke, she never tried any dirty underhand means to get him. I also liked Xing Yun’s female coworkers because I adore female friendships. I liked that they played a sort of devil and angel roles in offering advice to her.
Highlight of the drama was the romance. We had Shen Qing/Chu Nan, Yao Qing/He Yu, and Xing Yun/Xia Ke. I didn’t really care much about Shen Qing and Chu Nan’s because like Chu Nan treated Xing Yun as shit and I don’t play that so..NEXT. Which brings us to Yao Qing and He Yu! Like I said, I found Yao Qing, extremely likable and to be honest, I saw her and He Yu becoming a thing, happening from a mile away. Seriously what is is with cdramas and having the second leads suddenly fall in love with each other? Anyways, I didn’t think they were necessarily believable as a couple and probably would’ve been more charming had they gone the “let’s just hook up continuously and see what happens” route vs He Yu suddenly loving her. Yea Yea, apparently he just never noticed until they hooked up. Whatever. Moving on to XIA KE AND XING YUN. I’m going to be honest, I enjoyed them a lot and they’re literally the sole reason I will likely rewatch this drama. I like that we saw how much Xing Yun had changed Xia Ke. I appreciated their cute moments. And even when they got together, I wasn’t bored and thank God we didn’t have them break up from a stupid misunderstanding because lord knows there were a lot of them. My heart almost dropped when I saw her about to walk away with the cat incident, but when she turned around and took the keys!!! SLAY QUEEN!!! It’s a good thing that Xing Yun is so loyal and also a petty queen. We HAD TO STAN. The only thing I really disliked about the romance other than Bai Lu’s crappy wig, was them having a joint wedding with Yao Qing and He Yu. I WOULD LITERALLY NEVER. I DON’T CARE THAT SHE MADE AN OATH IN THE TEMPLE. FUCK THAT NOISE. OVER MY DEAD BODY.
So anyways, if you’re in the mood for something sweet, nonsensical, light. fluffy and binge-worthy then give this a go. I genuinely would recommend this as a pick me up after watching anything very angsty or if you’re in the mood for romance. If nothing else, you will definitely stick around for the kisses and skinship! Hehehhe.

One of the best dramas i've ever seen. As usual, Zhao Lin fits perfect. The story is quite basic, love between CEO and employee. Not so much to talk about it. I loved the fact that the story at the beginning wasn't so concentrated on Xing Yun and Xia Ke , because i really feel that there was no line between them if wouldn't happened all the things with Xia Ke's sister. Also, i didn't get angry with this mini love triangle between Xia Ke, Xing Yun and He Yu. I actually felt really bad when she "broke-up" with He Yu. So far, this is the only drama that i did't get angry with love triangle. Also, i didn't feel very well with He Yu and Yao Qing. Don't get me wrong, i really love them together, but they jumped and realised their feelings for each other after all the things with Xing Yun too quickly and too late, because they knew each other for a long time. I didn't feel their chimistry, but He Yu deserved such a good ending, even though there were no chimistry.

Entertaining, although not very original
This was entertaining to watch; the acting was quite strong, the story had a quite nice pace, and the overall production is good. The main story isn’t very original though; successful but rather aloof young rich male CEO, female employee who is positive and sweet, business faces some obstacles, love rivalry and some family intrigues…
The side stories are quite well written. I especially liked He Yu and his character development.
The reappearance of the ex in the last few episodes was a bit unnecessary - the story arch didn’t need it; the other elements were enough on their own.
FL is convincing in her role as “Lucky”. I like that her character stands up for herself.
ML also plays his part well, but his looks is almost a bit too polished for my liking. What I like about his character is how he is steadfast in his love after he finally realises it.
Watch this if you want something that is easy to watch.

I watched it originally for Bai Lu after seeing her in legends and arsenal military academy but aso fell in love with Xing Zhaolin in the process, this CP has grewat chemistry throughout and moments that will make the butterflies go. I do think the story starts off slow with the main leads though, its more of a focus of the relationships of the supporting cast with the leads rather than it being completly their story. After episode 13 however its a lot better since the other actors story is done. Bai Lu's character may seem aloof and a bit ditsy at first but when it came to love, she's brave and not afraid to be herself or say things that in most other dramas they wouldn't say because it might hurt the other persons feelings so i really like her character.
Xing Zhaolins character is a typical rich CEO as you would see in most dramas, he is stoic, considerate and cute, and totally unapologetic when it comes to getting his girl even if its his mates 'gf' - but i don't mind that in this instance because I wanted the main leads to come together.

Bai Lu so pretty even though she is wearing a wig.She looks better here compare to My Dear King she looks so thin there.
If you are looking for light and cute drama look no further this is it!
Chemistry overload
Lots of Kisses hmm I think Bai Lu is a better kisser than him lol
Disliked: It went a bit draggy with the business thing but you can fast forward it.
Wish they had more getting to know/cringy moments while dating. Same goes to the second leads
Was a happy ending but I want to see more...
Is it just me? Hmm
all in all I LOVED IT!!!

So many twists and turns but so adorable
I absolutely adored this series. I was super worried that they threw so many speed bumps at the leads. Still I loved how strong and confident the female lead was from the start. She knew her own feelings, was not going to change herself for anyone. While she did stumble and doubt herself from time to time, she did not let the love rival win when she tried to embarrass the female lead or to make her doubt in their relationship. The ending was fitting too since she did not just melt for a proposal, she wanted to make sure the male lead truly trusted and valued her as a partner before she said yes, which is all she ever wanted.Amazing series and I really recommend it to everyone who want to watch something super cute and fun.
