Decent Watch with Leads that have Chemistry

OVERALL
I want to put a disclaimer out there that sometimes I view dramas differently based on the type of drama. I would usually break down dramas a bit more than this review. However, I don't believe there's much to say about this drama. The drama got dragged on longer than it should with the 40 episodes and could have ended way sooner. The storyline isn't something we haven't seen before. The typical bad guy and girl fall in love, but in historical times. It is a good drama to watch if you take the plot with a grain of salt, especially if you're looking for great chemistry. While that may have sounded negative, I was honestly moved by the characters and enjoyed this drama for what is presented.

STORY
This is a typical "time travel" type of drama. The female lead gets roped to the past through a system. There she tries to find who her true love is. Of course, what is a story without some misunderstandings and love triangles. The male lead and the female lead are off to a rocky start. She believes that she had found her true love, the second male lead, and actively pursued him. Along the way, she recognizes her true feelings, but still, misunderstandings are present.

We see what each character would give up for, for love. One thing I enjoyed seeing in this drama was the good and evil aspects. It's a trope I always enjoy seeing, especially how they are portrayed in each drama. How each character would act as a good/evil person. In this drama, we see where people would draw the line for deciding for the greater good or the good of one person.

ACTING/CAST/CHARACTERS
Zhao Lusi is a great actress. She does well with these types of roles and is probably comfortable with them; that is why she partakes in these roles. Kind of like how Zhang Han always plays the modern-day boss role. They're great at it, so why not continue doing it? I honestly don't mind seeing her play this role where she is the cute, silly, immature female lead.

Li Hong Yi did well with his role. His make up probably was not the best, but he portrayed his role well as the evil sect leader. I especially loved him acting cheeky and playful with our leading actress. One of the reasons I enjoyed this drama was because of his acting alongside Zhao Lusi. I believe that they have great chemistry together. Zhao Lusi has acted alongside numerous actors, but Li Hong Yi is one of the few who felt like they had natural chemistry.

The rest of the cast did a decent job. It wasn't hard to watch, and I would love to see them continue their careers in other works.

First Drama that I watched of him

This is my first drama that I watched and knowing him, I see this because of scrolling some drama to watch and when I looked and read the plot I see a expectation and I think that this drama was good. And Yess when I watched it, I was like "OMG the story was good, the girl was finding the first men that comes to her mind when she open her eyes and also the male lead was cute and handsome I think he will be on the list of my favorite actors in Chinese Drama and he will be Second in the list". I already rewatched it so many many times this year and I discover him year 2022

A Bit far fetched

This drama was consistent throughout as a light-hearted watch that never took itself seriously. The drama is mainly about a love triangle between a girl and two guys that are polar opposites of each other. For me this series lost the plot when the FL and the second ML were supposed to be brother and sister and yet the kissing scenes were by far better then the her and the actual ML.

The story was a little far fetched and often times I found myself asking what earth are they all fighting for and at least gathering around about, the Longevity flower and everyone wanting it cuz it gives them immortality. The pace can be very slow at times, to the extent that can feel like time has stood still. During such times, the camera tends to zoom onto the actors' faces, trying to capture their emotions. Qiu Yue's face is immaculate. He is so beautiful to look at, in black or white hair.

Overall: A teenish romance drama with strong leads but weak plot.

This is probably my first ever Cdrama that I dropped.

I had a huge expectation at the start as I like the main actor and actress but I decided to drop it simply because I couldn't find a reason to continue.

First, the production was pretty bad whereby the whole series are surrounded with only that few actors and actress. They supposed to be some leader and the young owner of that village which is quite a high-ranked people, but they got hardly any guards or servants where anyone can simply enter their house without people noticing lol

Secondly, like what was mentioned above, the main guy always enter second male lead's house out of nowhere and talk to the female lead, and once he finished talking, he just disappeared like nobody's businesses LOL. The main storyline was okay where the female lead mistaken the other guy as her prince charming but the detailed plot was ridiculous. The guy wanted the girl to steal something in Episode 1 but in Episode 5 they are still in their discussion, like seriously? How draggy can it be...

Thirdly, the choice of actor and actress could be better. I don't deny their acting were okay, but probably get some older actor and actress to act since their roles are like clan's leader but they look like kiddos in the show, I don't know if the makeup and dressing is the problem or just that their faces don't suit the roles.

Fourthly, the characteristic of the main leads weren't attractive as well. Female lead was so desperate and hopeless romantic to the extent that it became a bit annoying, male lead was too cringey and the second lead was not charming too. Lee Hong Yi was hunching all the way that makes him look so weird, I don't know why.

I heard from my friends that the story became better till the end but I still can't get past the first few episodes, but I can roughly guess what will happen after (by watching the closing credits). But since after watching, I still do not anticipate any of the scenes so I think it's time to drop it.

It got a nice ending song sung by Lee Hong Yi though :) That's probably the only thing I love about this show.

I was going to watch this for Lusi but the FL is a complete airhead and she just kissed her "brother" .............. I've read a lot of reviews where the complete lack of storyline/plot made up for it in chemistry between the two leads, but right now the FL is annoying the hell out of me with how weak and dumb she is and this whole fake brother/sister storyline is lowkey weirding me out LOL. Like, FL, do you think all real blood-related siblings kiss each other like that ????? Girl, what ?????

Anyway, considering whether to drop this or someone please give me a sign or some incentive to continue on watching haha. ;_____;

Ottima coppia di attori, storia meh.

La serie si regge unicamente sulla bellezza e soprattutto sulla performance dei due attori principali. Il terzo incomodo, non so se per direzione registica, personaggio, o qualità sue, pur se carino è di un legnoso da paura. Le spalle fanno un lavoro dignitoso, ma le loro storie sono prive di qualunque attrattiva, mero noioso contorno che si aspetta finisca per tornare alla coppia principale.

In realtà, è priva di attrattiva e di qualsiasi suspense praticamente l’intera trama. Quello che ha, in abbondanza, è ripetitività, assurdità, salti e buchi, situazioni e comportamenti illogici a iosa. I personaggi si comportano spesso in modo tale che ti viene da dire: ma sul serio? Specialmente la FL è stata caratterizzata in maniera così antipatica che per una volta ci si trova a sperare che il ML la mandi a quel paese. E poi che ce la mandi anche l'altro. Il fatto che, a parte nei primi episodi, non abbia neppure una rivale, non aiuta. Ne hanno fatto il catalizzatore degli eventi, ma la reazione chimica ha fatto flop.

Tutta la storia è giocata sull’indecisione della FL tra i due protagonisti, sulla sfondo di una presunta lotta fra il bene e il male portata avanti da fazioni opposte, e della denuncia dell’ipocrisia e avidità imperanti. Chi più predica peggio razzola, e la cosa purtroppo si applica anche alla protagonista. Zhao Lu Si ha interpretato benissimo la parte che le hanno affidato. Peccato che il suo personaggio sia eminentemente antipatico, specie nel proseguire delle vicende, per cui non si riesce a provare molta empatia per lei.

Molto meglio va a Li Hong Yi, che ha interpretato Qiu Yue, personaggio carismatico e complesso, e visibilmente molto innamorato. La mimica facciale che è riuscito a produrre, le sue micro espressioni, i suoi sguardi, sono qualcosa di sublime. Posso dire di essere arrivata alla fine di questi 40 lunghissimi episodi (e sono pure di lunghezza leggermente inferiore alla media!) solo ed esclusivamente per lui.

La Chun Hua di Zhao Lu Si viene dal futuro e rinuncia all’immortalità per provare il vero amore, che sarà il primo uomo che vedrà al risveglio, e da lì si svilupperà il fraintendimento che durerà per la maggior parte dal drama. Ma anche quando verrà chiarito, la sua attitudine non migliorerà. E' vero, viene spesso ingannata da uno e passata in secondo piano dall'altro, ma è troppo prona a cambiamenti di idea repentini e credula delle fandonie altrui. Pretende il vero amore e di essere trattata bene, ma lei cosa fa? Personaggio bocciato, come già detto. Il fatto poi che l’abbiano fatta venire dal futuro in un prologo di un paio di minuti non è minimamente sfruttato, è una informazione iniziale posticcia. Se avessero usato che so, una leggenda, una maledizione, un qualche oggetto magico per farla addormentare e risvegliare, il risultato sarebbe stato uguale. Forse migliore, visto che non ci mostrano alcuno choc o disadattamento culturale!

La produzione è visibilmente a basso budget. Le comparse sono ridotte al minimo e i costumi e le ambientazioni sono relativamente pochi e non particolarmente sontuosi, e ci può anche stare. Non sarebbe un problema, come ho già detto diverse altre volte, se ci fosse sostanza nella storia. Che però abbiamo visto latitare. Il commento musicale però è gradevole e non troppo invadente e le voci si ascoltano volentieri.

Il finale, per mio gusto, è pseudo soddisfacente. Per conto mio, è raffazzonato come gran parte della storia, ma, insomma, chiude la vicenda.
Se mai faranno una seconda stagione, dubito che la guarderò.

Vou começar falando do ponto que achei mais negativo deste drama para mim que foi a protagonista feminina , Deus como ela era chata no inicio então era muito infantil , correndo atrás do XB , coitado ,sufocando e mendigando amor sem nenhuma dignidade ela era aquele estereótipo de personagem que eu não gosto, uma donzela em constante perigo , bonitinha, cabeça avoada sem nada a acrescentar ,ainda por cima usava os protagonistas sempre quando era conivente para ela, super egoísta, uma hora amava um outra hora amava outro sem personalidade nenhuma .
O enredo foi fraco e arrastado não precisava de tantos episódios teve vários que eram desnecessários, foi muito cansativo assistir do meio pro fim já estava desesperada para que acabasse , pensei em largar isso varias vezes ,a direção não foi muito boa também.
O que me segurou neste drama foi o protagonista masculino, com sua bela atuação e seus lindos cabelos longos, realmente me simpatizei pelo QY para mim ele carregou o drama nas costas. A ost já nem me lembro mais ou seja é bem insignificante.
Em fim não recomendo se você está pensando em assisti é por sua conta e risco , boa sorte.
