Appropriately titled - LOVE & REDEMPTION
What a fitting title for this title "LOVE & REDEMPTION"!! If someone told you its good, it's even better. You will fall in love with the ML and ache for him. The sacrifices he will make in the name of Love.....OMG........countless women who watches this drama will ask "where is my Se Fung???". Cheng Yi played Se Fung so well. Incredibly handsome, strong & supportive at the same time.You will get frustrated at the FL, but the writing is so good that the fustrations will be well worth it. When finally everything is revealed and she finally realizes how wrong shes been, as they say, Pay back is a bitch!
I recently fell in love with the actor Liu Xue Yi, who plays a villain in this drama. You must check him out in Love at Night and Qing Luo. He is incredibly handsome. But shows you what a great actor he is because I absolutely hated his guts in this drama.
The rest of the supporting cast is all wonderful as well. I loved ALL of them. kudos go to Zhang Yu Xi, who I think did an incredible job. I was very impressed with her acting and look forward to future work. Music & Ost is also very good, really fits the mood especially during the many intense fighting scenes.
For those like me who is looking for a HEA ending drama......YES, this is it! Its got romance, friendship, heart ache, villains, magic, monsters but most of all....Love & Redemption! Strap your seat belt on, its going to be a wild ride, ENJOY!

So sweet
This series was so sweet that I found myself smiling and laughing without realizing it. I like all of Cheng Yi's series and the female lead was so silly at times that I laughed throughout. Her expressions were so perfect and hilarious at times. You'd really believe her character lacks the six senses. She was filled with a child like eagerness to learn that often led to not being aware of situations around her and it led to funny moments. Romance, Action, Magic, 3 realsm, xianxia, wuxia, convincing story and chemistry what am i forgetting? Never mind, this story has it all!At first sight, i was skeptical about warching this drama since i am not into ancient, but i am glad i tapped the ep1!
I got hooked at 1st ep. The couple was cute at the beginning but didnt cobtinue till end since the plot got serious, but unlike many dramas, i didnt mind. it got me hooked the more!
I love the setting and fight scenes, they are so enjoyable. and the magic spells were ....woah!
The ost certainly got me in the mood to cry, feel iconic and even sing along!
And i got to commend the story writer, it was a unique plot. Because at first, i thought it would be a remake of ashes of love, but no! Its unique! Infact i loved this drama more than ashes of love.
I cant praise this drama for long because i might be carried away...
Good character, chemistry, love story, xianxia....everything! I highly recommend this drama , give it a go and im certain you will love it as much as i did..

Happy angry baffled sad and then happy
This is the most typical wuxia drama it has everything . Most of the wuxia dramas are similiar but this was the best first time the female lead was not a menance . Chengi yi did a very good job . This was my first drama after untamed . I enjoyed it very much . I almost wanted to break the phone because how much male lead has suffered but it's all fine now . The C-drama has an amazing storyline and never gets boring!
I am only up to episode 13 but it is so good! Already from the start, the chemistry between the lead characters is amazing and sweet ❤️ This Chinese drama is very different and new to me. It has an amazing storyline and it never gets boring. So I really recommend others to watch this drama! ☺️👍This drama’s lead actors is the first time I’ve seen them. The ML has a certain aura about him which makes his character different from many others. The FL is so cute yet clueless about feelings. Haha. I have seen many Insta videos about the drama and I just decided on a whim to watch and I don’t regret watching! 💗

Overhyped
I really wanted to like this drama since I love both Chen Yi and Liu Xue Yi, but boy did this disappoint.I skimmed through episodes and then finally gave up completely after about episode 23.
What a waste of time.

The female lead is so badly written. She's at times super childish and doesn't understand anything, and then at times behaves as if she does have emotions and understanding of human interactions. She's super dumb, but what does intelligence have to do with lack of emotional understanding? Why is she so dumb? She's supposed to lack empathy, not intelect.
Example: is it so hard to understand you're not supposed to take his mask off the second time, and then AGAIN forget where you've put it, when there was the whole drama the first time you took it off and forgot? Why are you clinging to this man if you have no emotions? Why are you persistent at throwing yourself at danger when you know this only gets others killed? How can a character be so badly written?
I started cheering halfway for her to get killed, she's so annoyingly written.
And the bad guy, with the "evil" laughter? Don't get me started on that, it was so cringe in every scene.
And her sister, arguing with the spirit snake like a five year old child? Why? You're an accomplished cultivator, presumably you learned some self control.
So many examples of just really poor writing.
So many situations happen just to move the plot along, whether they suit the character or not. So many decisions made just to make the story go forward, regardless of the inconsistencies this creates in the drama characters.
The actors gave their best, but the writing was terrible. One of rare Chen Yi dramas I just couldn't watch until the end. Still have no idea why this mess got 8.6 stars. It certainly fooled me into starting it.

Worst characters ever written
Sorry to whoever likes this show but this is not for me at all.I tried giving it a chance. I truly tried. I hated it right from the 1st episode but I told myself, you know what, let's give it some more episodes, after all, we're only at the first.
But holy hell. There is nothing redeeming at all about the characters. If you pick all the worst traits of every fictional characters and put them together, you get the main and few recurring characters.
They are so horribly written, I couldn't focus at all on the story or the visual effects. I couldn't continue at all.
Sorry but I really hope people write better characters in future works. I really don't think it's fair to the actors and actress to play such horrid characters.

If you like to raise your Blood Pressure...
(Note for the curious, you won't see this drama on my account, I only keep a Completed List and a Currently Watching list. I don't list Dropped titles).I've started this show at end of April... At the time I'm watching these lines... we're reaching the end of July and I've just decided after 22 episodes and a lot of "speed watching" of following episodes ( which is watching a couple of key scenes here and there to know what to expect when the angst is too much). I've decided to throw the towel and yes... I had to take big brakes between chunks of episodes because my frustration level was just sky high.
The special effects are... not really good, but the show is old so I didn't hold it against it... My issue though, is that he show is mostly frustrating and really pissed me off non-stop. Hao Chen is unsufferable and Sifeng is basically suffering most of the series... I've checked. It actually gets even worse in later episodes as if I wasn't about to break my screen already.
I'm not having fun watching this. I don't mind a little bit of angst and misunderstandings but when the whole show is basically relying ENTIRELY on this to create drama for 59 FREAKIN' EPISODES... that's when I give up. The worldbuilding is rich enough that we could have had enough conflicts without having the ML literally suffering physically and psychologically for 59 episodes straight. This is just too much.

This is one of these series that I think worked well for the audience when it initially aired but didn't hold well the passage of time. Seeing one character being misunderstood and remaining totally selfless after being tortured physically and/or psychologically by everyone including his love interest is not something today's audience would tolerate for 59 episodes straight. At some point, it just becomes masochism and apart from the selfless martyr, you just end up hating everybody including the writers.
I think they failed to realize that rewarding the sacrifices and selflessness of the hero shouldn't just happen at episode 59. BUT NO, when Sifeng finally gets all his misunderstandings cleared and his love secured... he's just about to die, and we're supposed to be happy that he gets his girl on the brink of death? We don't even have a scene with the father sincerely apologizing for all the grief and hurt he caused him. F*** NO!
THIS SUCKS!
Overall I'm giving this a 4 because I feel there should be a better balance between angst and happy moments so that the conflicts/misunderstanding/suffering blabla doesn't reach a point where your viewers, who are already stressed enough IRL, are mostly pissed off watching your show.
This is the second time I'm watching one of these oldies with rave reviews which is just a whole lot of misunderstandings piling up. The other one was Ashes of Love, but I finished that one even though my frustration level was also very high. At least in Ashes of Love, the 2ML was a good vilain you could understand even if you wouldn't root for him and even if the ML got misunderstood, there were OTHER conflicts as well so that he wasn't THE ONLY ONE suffering for 63 episodes.
Hao Chen though? What a nasty piece of sheep. Everytime this character opened his mouth, I just wanted to slap his face. I'm so disgusted with this character, I don't even want to see this actor's face anymore... And I know its a role, but it's gonna take a while for me to cleanse my brain and forget how frustrated and angry I was everytime he appeared on my screen.
Anyway, no way in hell am I giving this show 1 single more minute of my precious time. I've watched a third of it and have seen enough scenes from episodes 23 to 59 to know what to expect. I've given it a fair chance.
It's not necessarily a bad show... but clearly not a show for everyone. For me, this show is just a good way to raise one's blood pressure. Honestly it's akin to torture.
I'm not signing for that but to each one their own.

Only just begun
I can't say that a series has started and continues to satisfy it's viewers more than this one has! I'm finding that from the acting, cast chemistry to the sets, nothing but excellent production and effort by all. I'm falling in love with all the couples and all the characters are solid with depth! There's tons of cute moments that just have you smiling and I'm thoroughly loving this series especially with Xuan Ji and Si Feng as the MLs. The secondary couples/characters also draw their own share of love from me. <3 It reminds a little of Ashes of Love but Xuan Ji's actress portrays her well, with well thought out expressions that feel/flows so naturally - you don't feel any disconnect between actress & character when you watch her perform. We get great progression and so far, I'm only on episode 16, nothing seems too rushed. Though for Si Feng, there's a slight shift in the span of 2 episodes earlier on that quickly does away with his language difficulty. It was cute & could have stayed around a little longer.Now back to the series! I hope you enjoy even more than me :)

Cliche, Cringey, Boring development with a Stupid FL
I am on 11th episode.. this show is so cringey... predictable... and boring...... After finishing "love between Fairy and devil"... or so... I don't know.. but this show doesn't not deserve it's 8.8 rating. people who blindly rate 10/10 are just stupids. It's so boring and cliche... i can't feel emotionally connected with the FL... the development between FL and ML is so poor. I don't care if FL fell in love with 6th senior or 2nd senior, that's how the development is. There is no positive point in FL... ML is forced to fell in love with FL... there is not much development shown.... no strong points.They took too much Liberty in changing characters story... ... The plot is about reincarnated Yusha (Goddess of war) and a Devil (star of mosha). Till now.. there is no developments for that... ML is being an idiot oogling crappy FL.. her character setting is too weak. ML has to be an idiot to fall in love with her, when he is one of the most powerful disciple in his sect.
Instead they are in a cringey development for love or romance between these two arch rivals.
I am thinking if i should continue this shit or drop it and rest.

This show has lots of logical errors... It introduces FL as a past hero reincarnated as a girl who lost all 6 senses. But they are so stupid or did they think we are stupid? What is meant by losing 6 senses?
She is able to hear well, she express her emotions of suprise
