General Chu is frustrated that he has to abstain from sex with Shen Jin. Rou Rou misses Xiao Su who is on a secret mission. Shen Jin is suspicious of Lady Bai and tails her. Lady Bai purposely leads Shen Jin to an alley to be beaten up by thugs. General Chu appears and saves his wife who tells him about her suspicion. He too has seen someone around the mansion and will investigate the matter. Shen Jin catches Lady Bai’s maid sending a man off from the mansion. The maid claims he is her cousin. Valuables have been missing from the residence. Shen Jin continues to keep tabs on Lady Bai who is afraid that Shen Jin may be suspicious of her. Lady Bai uses Shen Jin’s name to lure General Chu to an inn. Shen Jin follows her. When she sees Lady Bai with General Chu, she knows it is a set-up and tells her so. General Chu knows it too but turns up to see what Lady Bai is up to. Xiu Yuan tails Lady Bai and reports to General Chu that she has a lover. They set a trap for her and catches her for adultery. She tries to lay the blame on the man who turns around and accuses her instead. But the valuables stolen from the mansion is enough to convince Duke Rui. Both Lady Bai and her lover are arrested. Duke Rui asks them to keep quiet about the scandal. General Chu and Shen Jin move to their new residence in the capital. Shen Zi is still angry and jealous of Shen Jin. General Chu needs to establish friendships with other officials especially Lord Situ. Shen Jin advises him to approach Lord Situ through his hobby which is throwing arrows into pots.
