it's not bad but wouldn't recommend on rewatch

Very cute main couple
I give this a nine mainly because of Ke Lei and Mi Ka, they are super cute together. I liked watching their pre-relationship, their almost there stage and finally when they got together. I liked Ke Lei's character, he is a combination of traits - shy, but confident, serious and funny and totally in love with Mi Ka. It was funny to watch him trying to be romantic and all his efforts just goes over Mi Ka's head, I like how they tease each other, it shows how confident and comfortable they are in the relationship. I stayed mainly for them.Now....it is 40 episodes long and I felt how looong it was. I did skip episodes and parts where I wasn't too interested in. I felt there were too many "distractions" LOL. I was especially annoyed with the Weng Bo and Qing Xia angle it just dragged on for too long. I did like Shao Yu Han and Xing Ke Yao though they didn't really have that much screen time - I think.
If this was cut down to 24 episodes it would probably be great.

Worth Watching. Must Watch
A very meaningful drama. Worth your time. No love triangle. I like the chemistry of ML and FL. There are some details that the drama did not spend time to develop but they are not so important however it would make the drama more realistic and captivating. There are many rooms for improvements but it's still a great watch.There are also many funny moments. Especially the second ML and FL. The 2nd ML is definitely a big straight guy that only think about his work.

Not what I expected
IT IS NOT LIKE DOTS ( DESCENDANTS OF THE SUN )NOT FINISH WRITING
It may seem similar to DOTS from reading the description, but it complected different there is more storylines from it and also well of character development. There might be a scene where you might think is similar to DOTS- which is the earthquake one but it only lasts for a while but after that everything is new and fresh. If you are looking for a drama that has a cute and smart female lead and a handsome and somewhat cold male lead then this is perfect for you. Not to mention the side couple of this drama is also cute and lovely to watch. Honestly, the side couple is kinda more interesting for me as a viewer to watch since there were more events that are happening in it. I don't know what happened at almost the ending I kinda lose the hype for this drama. The ending is not my fav but it's a good one.

From ‘This Is the Best’ to ‘I Can’t Take It Anymore’ — Drama Life in a Nutshellso I legit binge-watched like 10 eps in a day cuz I was so obsessed at first. But then, after she finished the training, it was like watching a whole different drama. Then, the same daily grind kept repeating over and over, so I was lowkey bored. Honestly, if they had js wrapped it up a few days after she finished, it would’ve been so much better, like a quick, cute ending instead of dragging it out that'll leave me feeling peaceful from the cute wholesome and healthy relationship they have. The other characters had some cute, fun stories — I was living for the ml’s personality tho, total fave, as expected from my bbg lol. Overall, it was super good at the start but then got kinda dull later and lost all its sparkle, and I was js over it, so yh, I dropped it cuz it turned into some boring routine show, sadly bc I rlly liked the main couple Ó╭╮Ò but I see myself continuing it in the future.. To Contend (周旋) - YIYAD (张瑶) my fave song<3
Also, WHY THE HELL THEY KEEP THE FL's HAIR IN THIS GREASY BUN... she's very pretty they did her dirty ngl

Bai Jingting charm just so lit
Their have a great story and act. Every angel and view in this drama so good. Bai Jingting really make you feel his charm. Sandra Ma too, she alwys have a great drama.Don't compare this drama with another drama, because their have different own character. Xing Kelei really have a good eyes!!! He's so handsome even just wears a mask.
If you alwys got skip on other story character beside the main charcter. In here you will not! Second couple, three couple in this drama very very have a good chemistry.

BORING - Main leads have all the chemistry of an old married couple
I hate to drop shows in the middle of watching them, but this drama is so boring, I don't know that I'll ever finish. I really had high hopes for the show given the high ratings, but now that I'm watching it, I can't even wrap my head around the fact that anyone would rate it highly. The main couple have all the romantic chemistry of an elderly married couple - which is not to say that they have no chemistry, at all but it's more like they're old and comfortable with silence vs. passionately falling in love. They don't even have anything in common, so when they do have a scene alone together, they don't have anything to talk about and there's a lot of awkward silences. I kept pushing through hoping it would get better. It did get slightly more interesting when a natural disaster happened and the focus was taken away from the main story line for a few episodes, but literally as soon as the two main characters had a decent-length scene together I got super bored and lost interest. I actually stopped watching during the scene where they confessed to each other - that's how boring it was. I tried to come back to it, but I'm not sure why I'm wasting my time trying to push through on this show. I honestly don't even care about any of the characters. The second leads aren't any better than the mains. The female reporter is a somewhat interesting character but the guy she likes is such a stupid character I can't stand watching him. And I'm not talking "stupid" as in a comedic character, nor am I talking "stupid" as in a naive in love character (tho he is that), I'm talking "stupid" as in genuinely low IQ. And that doesn't even make sense for his character, b/c he was in the army and now has a leadership position on the SWAT team. It would seem like you'd have to have a certain amount of intelligence to do that. Another reason I can't understand all the high ratings is that the show is full of all the tropes you expect to see in a romantic C-drama. Honestly, w/ a rating of 8.7, I feel like the show better be amazing - no tropes, novel characters and story lines, great acting, great chemistry, etc. This story has none of that. It's not the worst C-drama I've seen, but there's absolutely nothing interesting about it.Was this review helpful to you?

The chemistry between the main characters is amazing
And they have these little jokes here and there
I recommend you watch the drama
If you want to learn Chinese watch with subtitles their dialogues are not complicated they use simple grammar and spelling phrases it’s good practice
I like how they give you information on both professions as in medicine and police work
But their chemistry is a 10 tbh
And the people surrounding them their story is also not boring
All around interesting

Different storyline with DOTS
I got recommend by this drama thru IG.. My first impression is I thought why it same like DOTS? Then i try to see first episode. From that moment i fell in love with the story & the cast.. Currently watching until episode 26..Even tho Mi ka is older than captain xing in real life but they can potray the characters so excellent.. I love their sweetness and awkwardness.. Also not forget the second couple.. I know shu wenbo actually love xia but maybe because he feel insecure so he turn her down many time. I love to see how xia not give up to show her effort to make wenbo fall in love wit her.. For yanshan i think because she have reason to do that. I hope she will change after what she have done. I hope she can use her second chance to prove that she is not like what she think..

This is my first time to write a review. From my point of view, the drama is the love story between the special police and doctor who become each other first love. I love the story and it pursues me to watch till the end from the first episode. I addict that drama so much at the point of I cannot wait to watch more episode. Music is so good. The story, supporting role , interaction with between cast and acting are well balanced. This drama is more realistic and it's worth to spend the time to watch. I already watched up to episode 16 and I didn't sick even a single moment. It's very interesting drama. I will rewatch more whenever I have a free time.Was this review helpful to you?
This is the closest of Descendants of the Sun that it can get
And I love it! Yes, the story as a whole has a different development, this being more "daily life" rather than a plot with start, climax and ending. While DotS is more like a very long movie, this is more slow paced, and more relationship-centered.What is VERY similar are the main characters descriptions: a talented female doctor and a young but successful special forces male.
Overall I feel they each have their strong points. For the chinese series, you get to see their feelings grow and their relationship feels more real. Perhaps you'll get tired of it (unless you're already used to chinese dramas), but I'm pretty satisfied. The actors are good and charismatic, the story shows a lot of the medical part without being boring and in the end we get what we always look for in chinese dramas: couples being so freaking ADORABLE.
The biggest flaw for me is the side couple... girl, you should listen to some BTS and love yourself a little (or a lot) more.

This drama is exactly different among the others!
I have seen both DOTS and CLOY, and right now i am watching this drama series. The story is exactly different among the other two. I assure you, just as how you loved CLOY and DOTS, you will surely love this drama more, because i do.... :) <3 <3 <3I have watched more K-drama, C-drama, J-drama and more. This one makes me feel love and belong. Just as how i had been waiting for the upcoming episodes of CLOY from Netflix before, this drama makes me more excited whenever its Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday. I've always been waiting for these days of the week.
the characters portrayed very well, just natural and not exaggerated. Tonight i'll be waiting again for the next episodes that they'll be posting, I hope the english sub will be coming out as early as midnight here in the Philippines. I'm so immerse with You are my Hero.
