I was captivated from the stills I watched on social media and I am so happy I have come across this drama. I've known that Ma Sichun excels in her craft eversince so I was surprised with Bai Jingting's charisma. He really is a perfect fit for the role. I am loving it so far even the intro song is quite catchy. The conflicts are starting to unfold subtly so its not heavy for me. I love dramas which are not too emotional but you can still acquire lessons in life. If you are like me, you must watch this drama.Jiayou You are my hero.!

Got Boring Halfway :( Pls Convince Me To Keep Going!
I started this drama because of all the high ratings it had on MDL. But I'm slightly disappointed in myself that I couldn't finish it because it ended up being kind of boring halfway(??) I'm not here to diss this drama because it doesn't deserve that.Tbh this drama is actually well written in terms of C-drama land. There are little to no trope, cringe moments, there aren't any love triangles and the main girl isn't stupid and indecisive. All the characters are well written, smart, capable and make very realistic human decisions.
The first episode had me reeled in straightaway and I binged the first 10-15 eps. However by the time the main couple got together, it became so boring. Idk about you guys but I thought them being awkward and shy around each other while they were dating was not that cute. They're both portrayed as mature adults that have lived quite past the awkward teenage phase and yes maybe they've never dated before but I thought that aspect of their relationship was slightly disappointing and bland to watch. I honestly lost interest right when they got together.
Another thing that bothered me just a bit was that there were way too many couples in this drama. There's the main couple, the reporter and the other SWAT guy, the doctor and the older sister AND the main girl's best guy friend and girl friend. That's four couples! I feel like they should have used that time and invested it on the main couple to make them more interesting.
This drama tries it's best to steer away from tropes and cringe moments which it deserves much credit for. However to me, it doesn't stand out that much. It's got a decent story, smart characters but it's just lacking that extra spark and maybe a slight bit of comedy and good OST. I think there definitely could be a bit more comedy and it would have added that cherry on top for this drama.
I don't know how the rest of this drama plays out because I dropped it when the main couple got together. If you're reading this and think I should keep going, please tell me!! I don't want to give up on this drama just yet.

this drama was an unexpected gem
Honestly, this onr had been sitting on my watch list for a while, but I had been holding off on watching it because it didn't seem that exciting, I guess? But what a regret!This drama was simply perfect, the main couple it's just so perfect and cute I can't with them!!! And besides them, we also have 2 secondary couples which are also perfect.
There were some frustrating moments at times, especially some added drama with the introduction of 2 new characters by the end of the drama (they appear around ep 38? if I'm not mistaken), and honestly, that's the only reason I won't give this drama a 10 out of 10, because this 2 characters drove me INSANE. I won't go into spoilers, but I would have felt better if they didn't exist in the story. I was glad things would never go their way, however, the still annoyed the hell out of me and I was so engaged on the show that it strained me a bit to watch their shannenigans lol
Over all, this drama is great and truly a must watch!

Cute and Mature characters elevate a standard story
I really liked this series! The main couple was just so darn cute, and the secondary couples were also great.The story is not something really new, but what I really enjoyed was the fact that the characters were really mature in how they interacted with each other. They had flaws, and din’t always make the best choices, but overall this show lacked the many of the silly tropes that most Asian dramas resort to.
When the main couple had a disagreement or misunderstanding, I’d get ready for the big blowup and resulted in a pointless breakup. But NOPE! They communicated, expressed their disappointment, but apologized and moved on. I just think this is a very good role model for how couples should treat each other and we don’t get a lot of this maturity in modern dramas. They feel they need the artificial tension to keep folks interested. (Well, OK, people do dumb stuff in real life, and the series can mimic that, but it gets old…)
So, a good story, with healthy mature characters. So a rating of 10 for me.
My one complaint, although I won’t take a point off for it, is the ending was kinda of weak. I am seeing that a lot these days. The ending wasn’t bad, or dumb, just kind of weak. I wanted a bit more to happen to round things off.
But watch it!
Kudos to all the actors for making this believable and enjoyable.

A truly well rounded, beautifully acted series
I loved this series so much. i watched it for Bai Jing Ting and it was fantastic. Each character was well rounded and believable. The second couple were a little bit slow but at the end it worked out and made sense. It was good to see Bai Jing Ting being playful, it was so endearing. A great mix of hospital and police, and enough action to keep the show moving.I will definitely watch this again.
The only thing that let it down, for me, was the styling. Apart from his sister and the men, the two main females were dressed appallingly! The FL was beyond drab, I know they were trying to portray her as someone too busy for her appearance (I think) but it was quite ridiculous. The SFL was equally mostly awfully dressed. A minor irritation, just really awful styling.

DONT MISS THIS OUT!!!
This series is 100% worth watching!The story tells the importance and struggles of both careers - a special policemen and a doctor. It highlights their abilities and what they can achieve if they put their efforts together. In my opinion, this was done to show people their hardships.
40 episodes…believe me, your time won’t go to waste!
The c-drama /at some point/ was focused more on the jobs rather than the romantic side, which to me, was really nice added and I learned lots of new things from it!
And there are this two side couples who completes everything!

Better than the Original Korean Version
I didn't realize until I finished watching the show that this was the Chinese remake of Descendents of the Sun. That being said, without comparing the two, I this was a great drama. If you are comparing the two, one of my problems was that the lead actress in DOS was not very likable which was fixed in the Chinese version. Definitely worth the watch whether or not you watch DOS. I appreciated Mika's perseverance and her attitude. I also liked the decision to make her look like a normal doctor (sans the heavy makeup and heels) and give her the attitude of a doctor.Was this review helpful to you?
YOU WILL NOT REGRET WATCHING!!
I was so bored and decided to watch a Chinese drama and stumbled upon You Are My Hero. I have to say, this is one of my favorite dramas ever. I’ve watched a lot of Chinese & Korean dramas but this drama is LITERALLY my favorite. I definitely recommend everyone watching this. 10/10 dramaWhat I really loved about this is that the female lead is smart & strong. I typically don’t enjoy watching dramas where FL’s are portrayed as weak and taken advantage of. But this FL is amazing and I love her so much. The ML did a really good job too. He was amazing and I enjoyed watching him.
Also the chemistry between the ML and FL is AMAZINGGG!! They did so good and I couldn’t stop watching because it really looked as if they were dating IRL.
TLDR: 10/10 drama and would 100% recommend this drama to anyone who has time

Warm, Professional, and Comfortably Grown‑Up
You Are My Hero completely surprised me. I usually reach for fluffy rom‑coms, but this drama gave me something different — a grown‑up cozy kind of warmth that feels steady, sincere, and unexpectedly comforting.As someone in the medical field, I really appreciated how the show treated both the hospital and the SWAT team with a level of professionalism and respect you don’t always see in dramas. The emergencies, the training, the teamwork — none of it felt thrown in for drama’s sake. It added real heart and made the world feel lived‑in.
The romance builds slowly, but in a way that feels natural. Watching Mi Ka and Xing Ke Lei learn each other through work, pressure, and small everyday moments made their connection feel solid and real.
And I have to mention Dr. Shao and Ke Yao — their storyline was such an unexpected highlight. Funny, mature, and quietly emotional in the best way.
This isn’t a fluffy drama, but it has a warmth that stays with you. It’s calm, sincere, and genuinely cozy for adults. I ended up loving it more than I expected.

Fab Drama
I loved this drama the story was lovely and I loved the fact for once there was no love rival as per usual in these kind of dramas .The Ml is a great actor he can got from serious to comedy very smoothly the Fl in this drama was great as well there was good chemistry between all the actors loved it .its a 10 out of 10 for me .I have not seen a bad series from this male lead he is very good and Talented Actor 👍👍👍👍Was this review helpful to you?

Barely Any Annoying Cliches
The lead couple were kind of bland after a while, it was good to watch them get together in the first 10 episodes, after than it became too boring. They were both good together and good to each other, so a green flag couple.The second couple was much more interesting however Shu Wen Bo was so damn insecure that he made Ruan Qing Xia cry so many times. This is a perfect example of asking people what they want instead of just making a decision for them.
The third couple, ML's sister and Dr Shao were pretty good together as well. Glad that they got the second chance.
