amazing acting from main leads, healthy relationship and balance between work and life

i absolutely loved this drama!! at first i was like hmm 40 episodes… must be draggy but i honestly didnt feel this way, i maybe skipped a few scenes in the middle but there was enough going on for me to always stay interested!

the main leads had amazing chemistry, their eyes said enough they needed need to be intimate or kiss a lot etc to show their love for each other, just the way they look at each other makes it clear and it was beautiful to watch.

the acting is incredible , some of the scenes would have been cliche i feel if the actors were different but they acted so well nothing felt cliche (even if it was)

as an aspiring emergency doctor this was super fun to watch and i felt it was one of the most realistic dramas ive seen portray doctors routines etc… they studied the terminology well! :o

the side pairings were also really cute… took forever for shu wenbo to actually confess and i was a bit annoyed at how the main xia throw herself at him for a bit but thats probably the only thing i disliked about the plotline! also the annoying younger daughters of ML boss

ML and his sister had a super nice sibling relationship too which was nice to see ! not all sibling relationships have to be messy @ drama script writers

all in all i loved it, great acting, loved the ost, the cinematography was good and all the cast was enjoyable to watch ! theres no breakups, little misunderstands, good communication and it shows a healthy relationship :) also love that they dont give up their dreams for love, it shows a healthy balance between work and life ! 10/10 recommend it

My Top Drama of 2021

A well-deserved 10/10 plot in my books, 40 episodes may seem long but i ended up wishing for it to be longer. TT__TT

Like many others, i initially picked this up because i thought it was a remake of DOTS due to the leads' occupations. BUT it's totally different, a pleasantly good different!

The 2 leads have such challenging occupations and so little time together, but they make the relationship work so well. This drama presents a realistic r/s, no sudden breakups or communication breakdown which is *chef's kiss*.

Ironically, these 2 busy people are able to communicate so much more successfully than couples with less demanding jobs (in many other dramas) - probably because they know they need to treasure all the alone time they have which each other so they understand the importance of communicating their love, thoughts and worries.

Both leads are independent and mature people, love seeing their passion in their work and love for each other. It's both FL and ML's first time in a relationship but maaan are they good people. They trust each other so much (i mean they've been through near death together) and are able to think from each other's perspective before making decisions.

1 example which shows this: Mi Ka got the opportunity to go for an overseas attachment for 2 years and when she received the notification of acceptance she was extremely troubled. "i didn't expect myself to get in when i was applying, so i didn't bother to tell Ke Lei. But now that i think about it, it feels like I'm wasn't respecting him" (ep 37, this whole episode was so wonderful).

Having watched so many dramatic reactions to similar situations in other dramas, this normal conversation was so so refreshing. Similar to many other relationship challenges that sprung up in this drama, they get resolved within the episode, or in the next one at the most.

"Is pride that important? more important than loving each other?" PLEASE i love this line that Mi Ka said so so much. I, a single dog, am learning so much about making a r/s work through this show!!

Majority of the scenes when the leads are together may seem choppy because of the obvious cuts in footage but it's because so many of their scenes and dialogues were improvisations which shows how natural their chemistry is!

I started because of the interesting occupation combination but stayed for the superb acting, script and production! I'm in neither industry and am not sure how accurate the portrayal is but my appreciation for front-liners in the SWAT and medical field sky-rocketed after having a glimpse at how much is demanded of them.

Please please give this drama a shot, side characters/conflicts may frustrate you at times but the plot pulls through all the way till the end. I've re-watched the first half of the drama twice already while waiting for new episodes to drop weekly lol!

If you’re a fan of Descendants of The Sun; you will love this too!

First of all let me clarify. This is NOT a remake or copy of DOTS. However there are some situations which may be ‘inspired’?! But and its a big BUT it does not take away the charm that this show enjoys. So let me list the pros and cons for you.

Pros:-
- Strong, resilient, sweet, cute, charming FL. She is ambitious, kind, goofy and admirable. Sandra Ma is perfect for the role. Such a refreshing sweet smile she has!
- Adorable ML. He is heroic, caring, cute, shy about love, dashing and swoon worthy in his police attire. Bai Jing Ting nails this role perfectly. I love his awkward in love moments.
- The show is fast paced, full of action, no unnecessary drama and elongated misunderstandings, has equal romance and cute moments.
- It has medical drama as well as police/military action just like DOTS.
And just like DOTS the lead couple gets itself in many such dire situations. But its still a great watch with its own special moments.

Cons:-
- For me the major con and turnoff was the second lead couple. They are boring, given more screen time than the lead couple and bore you to tears with their dragging romance. Its the same crap over and over again. The SFL pesters the SML to love her and does everything possible and he loves her but does not want to be with her. YAWN. The SFL is supposed to be a strong character( and better in looks, poise and elegance than the FL (as mentioned in one of the scenes)) but just comes across as a whiny pest who will not take no for an answer and has zero self-esteem. Makes you wonder is it the same writer who wrote such a great character for the FL?? I literally fast forwarded all their scenes after episode 10.

Overall - I will continue watching it. I have enjoyed the episodes till now and will look forward to the rest (but fast forwarding the second lead couple for sure)..

I absolutely loooooooove the relationship of the main couple.. They are so solid, have complete faith and trust in each other and are each others support system. I will definitely re-watch it for our amazing lead couple.

A perfect drama with connectivity and inspiration

This is one of my favourite dramas. There is no second male lead or second female lead here. But there is a second male lead for the second couple because second man was stubborn and the girl was actively pursuing him. The third couple were quite supportive. The male lead is brave in the mission and loves to act cute infront of the female lead. The female lead is also brave in her field and quite talented. You may once think that this drama is too long before watching it but once you start watching the 1st episode you will get engaged to it and wouldn't think that it's long. Overall this drama is really good and a must watch one.

Healthy Relationships!

I really enjoyed the chemistry between the leads. They were so natural with each other and their relationship was very convincing. This is the first time watching Bai Jing Ting, and I am impressed with how he carried his character. I did fast forward through some of the second lead interactions; the drama would be better if there were more SWAT action scenes instead of medical scenes. The evil sisters arc was unnecessary, but it did show that trust that the leads had of each other. I think all dramas should avoid cliche love triangles. Overall, I loved watching the leads' relationship develop and if you want to watch an entertaining romance, this is the drama for you.

100% Chemistry! You must watch this Cdrama now!!!

I am so glad that I had watched this drama. The story was amazing! 10/10!!! The chemistry of Bai Jing Ting and Sandra Ma was so excellent! The story was well written, From Episode 1 to Episode 40 is worth your time to watch it. It is not draggy and no stupid misunderstanding. The relationship of Xing Kelei and Mi Ka was healthy and lovely. Each actor portrayed there character very well. I had watch the Behind the Scenes and I was impressed that they are the one who did all the stunts.

This is the first time that I had watch the drama of Bai Jing Ting and I must say I was impressed by his acting! He was so handsome in police uniform and the action role was so damn good to him. Hope that Bai Jing Ting and Sandra Ma have more drama together. I have re-watch this twice already and I cannot move on from this drama. A perfect combination of Love, Medical and Action.

FYI: This Cdrama was first written before the Descendants of the Sun, Both have differrent stories! I have watched the DOTS but I was more impressed here in You Are my Hero! The 3 love stories was healthy and there was no boring scene that’s why I love this drama. Unlike other drama that had a childish character, here all of them was matured. The phasing of each seen was so great.

I highly recommend this drama. This is light, lovely and amazing drama of 2021. Thank you writer, directors, actors, crews and all the people behind this amazing drama.

Very cute main couple

I give this a nine mainly because of Ke Lei and Mi Ka, they are super cute together. I liked watching their pre-relationship, their almost there stage and finally when they got together. I liked Ke Lei's character, he is a combination of traits - shy, but confident, serious and funny and totally in love with Mi Ka. It was funny to watch him trying to be romantic and all his efforts just goes over Mi Ka's head, I like how they tease each other, it shows how confident and comfortable they are in the relationship. I stayed mainly for them.

Now....it is 40 episodes long and I felt how looong it was. I did skip episodes and parts where I wasn't too interested in. I felt there were too many "distractions" LOL. I was especially annoyed with the Weng Bo and Qing Xia angle it just dragged on for too long. I did like Shao Yu Han and Xing Ke Yao though they didn't really have that much screen time - I think.

If this was cut down to 24 episodes it would probably be great.

Worth Watching. Must Watch

A very meaningful drama. Worth your time. No love triangle. I like the chemistry of ML and FL. There are some details that the drama did not spend time to develop but they are not so important however it would make the drama more realistic and captivating. There are many rooms for improvements but it's still a great watch.
There are also many funny moments. Especially the second ML and FL. The 2nd ML is definitely a big straight guy that only think about his work.

Not what I expected

It may seem similar to DOTS from reading the description, but it complected different there is more storylines from it and also well of character development. There might be a scene where you might think is similar to DOTS- which is the earthquake one but it only lasts for a while but after that everything is new and fresh. If you are looking for a drama that has a cute and smart female lead and a handsome and somewhat cold male lead then this is perfect for you. Not to mention the side couple of this drama is also cute and lovely to watch. Honestly, the side couple is kinda more interesting for me as a viewer to watch since there were more events that are happening in it. I don't know what happened at almost the ending I kinda lose the hype for this drama. The ending is not my fav but it's a good one.

BORING - Main leads have all the chemistry of an old married couple

I hate to drop shows in the middle of watching them, but this drama is so boring, I don't know that I'll ever finish. I really had high hopes for the show given the high ratings, but now that I'm watching it, I can't even wrap my head around the fact that anyone would rate it highly. The main couple have all the romantic chemistry of an elderly married couple - which is not to say that they have no chemistry, at all but it's more like they're old and comfortable with silence vs. passionately falling in love. They don't even have anything in common, so when they do have a scene alone together, they don't have anything to talk about and there's a lot of awkward silences. I kept pushing through hoping it would get better. It did get slightly more interesting when a natural disaster happened and the focus was taken away from the main story line for a few episodes, but literally as soon as the two main characters had a decent-length scene together I got super bored and lost interest. I actually stopped watching during the scene where they confessed to each other - that's how boring it was. I tried to come back to it, but I'm not sure why I'm wasting my time trying to push through on this show. I honestly don't even care about any of the characters. The second leads aren't any better than the mains. The female reporter is a somewhat interesting character but the guy she likes is such a stupid character I can't stand watching him. And I'm not talking "stupid" as in a comedic character, nor am I talking "stupid" as in a naive in love character (tho he is that), I'm talking "stupid" as in genuinely low IQ. And that doesn't even make sense for his character, b/c he was in the army and now has a leadership position on the SWAT team. It would seem like you'd have to have a certain amount of intelligence to do that. Another reason I can't understand all the high ratings is that the show is full of all the tropes you expect to see in a romantic C-drama. Honestly, w/ a rating of 8.7, I feel like the show better be amazing - no tropes, novel characters and story lines, great acting, great chemistry, etc. This story has none of that. It's not the worst C-drama I've seen, but there's absolutely nothing interesting about it.

Their focus is a little different and the characters of the leads differ as well
The chemistry between the main characters is amazing
And they have these little jokes here and there
I recommend you watch the drama
If you want to learn Chinese watch with subtitles their dialogues are not complicated they use simple grammar and spelling phrases it’s good practice
I like how they give you information on both professions as in medicine and police work

But their chemistry is a 10 tbh
And the people surrounding them their story is also not boring
All around interesting
