Story- It all about the River Valley in which a bus fell because of an accident in which only 6 people survive and was trapped in the River Valley. They attempt to find a way to escape but they couldn't. And they also find some strange things happening with them in the River Valley.
At first you may get confused with the story but after some episodes it will be fine. You have to watch each and every episode with patience then only you can get the story.
The back story of the characters may get sometimes irritating but its fine.
In my opinion this is the best sci- fi and mystery drama I have ever seen.
I should also appreciate the acting of all the actors.
If you want some rest from the rom- com dramas then this is the best Drama.
Eagerly waiting for the second season.

Messy writing, this season only is not enough to feel satisfied
Not bad but there are too many illogical elements... I mean, okay it's sci-fi, but still, some elements are like "hey, we put them because it's cool because it's sci-fi" but don't have a logical sense or even a meaning. Maybe if there's really a second season, some of these elements will be explained, but there, just with these episodes, I feel that the drama is incomplete, really messy and the sci-fi elements without any purpose. That's strange because I'm the first to love this kind of drama/story actually but there are too many messy things, illogical stuff and so on that make me feel like "Huh ? Like, okay ? But, no ?".Still, the plot could have been really good. But the writing is really not as good as the idea. Maybe if they really make a second season, it will be better/make me feel better about this first season. But just with this season, I can't say that this drama is really good. It's just okay to watch once.
And what made me feel like I was watching an average drama is that the storyline is really obvious and predictable. I mean, I guessed many of the "suspense" elements and of the storyline at the beginning. I don't know if it was luck or if it's because I'm used to this kind of drama, but it was pretty predictable for me. I was waiting for more from this drama.
But still, the acting is pretty good and nice to watch. The OST is good enough too.
I think I'll rewatch it only if they do a second season.
Note : but at the end of the last episode, they say "new leads with new stories", so I don't think that the second season will bring more elements about this first one ? I don't know. But I hope that they will make a second season so it, perhaps, make me feel better about this drama ahah.

The Red River Valley ♥️ CaseBook ; Absorbing the Truth ?"
Only the valley remains knowing the truth, Missing Persons may have ended without closure, but its gripping storyline and suspenseful atmosphere left a strong impression. From the very first episode, the drama pulls viewers into a chilling mystery, layered with secrets, psychological twists, and well-developed characters. The plot unfolds with a thrilling pace, never wasting a moment as it dives deep into disappearances that feel hauntingly real. Each episode builds suspense masterfully, keeping you on edge and guessing. The performances were subtle yet powerful, adding emotional weight to the already intense plot.
Although the drama remains unfinished, it doesn’t feel incomplete. Instead, it leaves you wanting more — not out of frustration, but out of hope. The unanswered questions and cliffhangers only add to its eerie charm, and many fans (myself included) are eagerly hoping for a second season to bring the story to a satisfying close.
If you’re into intelligent mysteries with a dark, emotional tone, Missing Persons is worth the watch. Just be prepared — it ends before it should, but the thrill is absolutely worth the ride.

Honestly it was a struggle
By the end of this I was seriously reconsidering my commitment to finish every show I start, and after the end... Well, I consider all the time I spent watching this wasted. The story was very similar to Lost; people get in an accident and it's revealed that they're all connected in some way and have been "chosen" to be there for some purpose. Very little time was spent on actual survival scenes after the first episode, and most of the survival situations seem largely avoidable if the characters had thought for even a second. There wasn't much time for more survival situations though, because the show was largely devoted to flashbacks... And flashbacks of flashbacks we'd just seen minutes or seconds ago. I do admit to fast forwarding by the end, because there are only so many times I can watch the same scene.
The flashbacks of the characters respective stories could have each been their own series and done better than this show. (Although Li Qiao's backstory got very boring for me, especially because they kept repeating the same scenes of it. I can sing Red River Valley by now even though I don't know much Chinese.) Unfortunately, all the back stories are rushed (while somehow being slow paced) and I couldn't really form a connection to any character because once I started to care about someone, it switched to someone else's story and the story I was previously almost getting interested in became just another thing to have flashbacks of with no progression.
By the end we were given the final pieces of the puzzle... But if this was a puzzle, half of the new pieces given were clearly to another puzzle. Suddenly it seemed only one survivor had any meaning for being there, and everyone else was just tangentially related. Everything fell apart in the last minutes when it was made clear that -nothing- would be solved and that we'd have to wait for a season 2 to even hope to understand anything. A season 2 that is most likely not coming, since this is 4 years old now. I won't be wasting my time on a S2 even if it does eventually show up, and next time I'm really struggling to finish watching something I'll check reviews to at least make sure I'm not heading into a meaningless cliffhanger.

Great Science Fiction Thriller
This is one of the best science fiction thrillers I've ever seen. I love the way the screen-writer flushes out all the characters. How or why time is manipulated is extremely intriguing. Characters are wounded individuals trying to understand why they are where they find themselves and how they relate to each other. I have to say that I was so moved by the main theme song, "Red River Valley". It was a song that my family sang when my Uncle visited and would play his guitar in my childhood. The arrangement of the song for this drama actually makes me cry and is so beautiful when sung in Chinese. I can't wait to see season 2.Was this review helpful to you?
This last point that I will mention doesn't really affect the plot that much. On a technical side, there's a CGI in episode 1 or 2 (can't remember exactly on which episode it happened) where you will feel like.. 'just when everything is getting better, here comes this scene that would made you say that, they should have made the CGI better.'
