My favourite Drama
This is the best drama that I've seen, From the story, Characters, Acting, Visuals, Everything was great. It's not the type of show I'd watch but decided to give it a go and it was incredible.
I saw Lee Jae Wook in Do Do So So La La Sol and thought he was very good so I was expecting big things from him in this show and he killed it.
The whole cast and side characters are some of the best I've seen in shows, The visuals and fight scenes were done really well.
I highly recommend this show to anyone, It's a light hearted show with comedy, great fighting and a great story.

Gosh now that is a drama you spend money on
this drama is one of those that were so good that I had to quit watching it for a few days just to have it in my watching list.Just finished it and it would take me about a month to get over Mu Deok and accept Naksu who is in the next part. I am really impressed and depressed how they gave us a sad ending after a supposedly happy one really let them get married pleaseeeee. Why must you make us suffer like this.
Looking at it more rationally it is a fast passed and thrilling drama you can just watch the acting is A+ you will cry with them and laugh with them and just forget it's a drama. It has a unique charisma that is absolutely entrancing. The OST is amazing and just gives you goosebumps and the VFX is also great.
Like you can just see this drama and say "Gosh now that requires hard work."
Must watch

And it's here! Finally, a series where Lee Jae-Wook can shine. For me it is perfect here :).
I dug into it for a long time, I was afraid that it would be cheap, especially when it comes to effects. Well, I was terribly wrong again. The effects are great, of course we don't avoid the classics (flying), but it's very limited. Otherwise, there are great fights and the aforementioned effects are also very nice. But what makes this series special are the characters and the story. The characters do not have a single flaw and the story is original, well-entangled and exciting. Even so much so that after a very long time I couldn't wait for the next part and watched until late at night. The main two are incredibly likable and their relationship softened me to an excellent degree. The chemistry between them shines and the actress who played Mud-eok is perfect. Her transitions from Naks to maid are worth it. The creators know how to perfectly combine comedy and drama. There are a lot of really funny scenes where you can really laugh, but it's not a problem to toughen up. Too bad they didn't make more room for the main characters after they finally got closer. Sometimes Koreans annoy me, that in the best start they kind of dampen it down, stop and start solving other things. But otherwise the magic effects are great. I highly recommend it, 20 parts was too little. Was this review helpful to you?
The best tragic romance-fantasy ever!
A phrase to describe:Wanna feel a bittersweet broken heart? Watch this drama!
Cons:
- There are terms in Korean that don’t have explanations: Gwanju, Gwigu, etc.
- Places’s (or town) name make you wonder: Is this the name of a clan, a town, or what?
- The story is complicated since the beginning, you might need to rewatch the first episode.
Pros:
- A fresh sageuk-fantasy story with a superwoman as the main character.
- Good proportion of romance, not too much and not too little.
- Well-served comedy.
- Jung Somin, Jang Nara, Arin, and Seohee goddess combos.
- Puzzle-like plot (almost) without a plot hole.
- Tragic story. Hail to the writer for writing such brave plot.

Literally amazing.
I’m going to be honest, I have watched a LOT of dramas, from classics like “What’s Wrong With Secretary Kim?” And smaller dramas that I have found like “Just Between Lovers”Because of this it’s hard to find a drama that I get hooked on and become obsessed with. BUT THIS DRAMA…Oh my gosh….
The acting, the plot, the scenery, JUST EVERYTHING!!!
It was such a good watch beginning to end that I watched it in a week. It kept me hooked and I always wanted to know what was going to happen.
I wanted to know if Jang-Uk and Mud-eok would finally have their happy ending or not.
Well, not including season 2 which I dropped, season 1 is absolutely incredible. It can make you laugh, cry and stay on the edge of your seat.
It has so many good action packed scenes and yet has one of the most sweet and heartwarming romances I’ve seen in awhile. The main two leads have great chemistry, and even the other couples were cute.
I also thought this drama was wonderfully casted, they are all amazing actors and fit their characters so well, so please give this drama a chance!!

Must watch!
Alchemy of Souls completely swept me away and was an absolute joy to watch, especially Season 1. While the series certainly has its flaws, the strength of the storytelling, character development, and emotional investment it builds makes them easy to overlook.I loved everything about Season 1. The characters, the plot, the perfect balance of comedy and romance, and the fascinating fantasy world. Fantasy isn't usually my go-to genre, but this drama completely changed my perspective and I'm more open minded to it.
Jang Uk and Mu Deok quickly became one of my favorite drama couples. I'll admit that after the first episode I was rooting for Seo Yul, but as the story unfolded, I found myself completely invested in the journey of the main leads and their incredible chemistry.
The drama is visually stunning, beautiful costumes, and magical. Paired with an incredible soundtrack that elevates every emotional moment, Alchemy of Souls delivers an experience that is both captivating and memorable.

I have a Theory for season 2 Alchemy of Souls!!!
SPOILERSJung So-Min won’t be in season two and they’re bringing back Go Yoon Jung. The question is how they’re going to do this when Naksu’s body was burned.
What if Bu Yeon isn’t even the original soul? What if the baby never had a soul, so the ice stone brought back an older soul? The soul of Seol-ran. That would explain why Mu Deok's body never had the bruise on the shoulder. And how two souls were able to stay in the same body.
Maybe Seol-ran made it so that Naksu’s soul would enter her body. And it’s very likely that she never wanted to come back. Seol-ran most likely wanted to stay in the afterlife with her lover Seo Gyeong. So she most likely wants to leave the body to Naksu, and find a way to return to the afterlife.
So maybe in the second season, Seol-ran will use the ice stone to change the body. Or maybe she will make Naksu the originals soul of the body, and that will change the body to fit the soul.
Thoughts?

Easy to get immersed...compelling story and chemistry
It was easy to get immersed in this fantasy because of the compelling storyline and the chemistry between the leads. It was a shock for them to then switch actresses in Part 2, but it did seem to serve a purpose (even if that wasn't their intention from the beginning) with the soul-switching. At some point, it did seem like the FLs were intertwined. The ML was really strong, from beginning to end.Was this review helpful to you?

Hong Sister Hype!
Picked this up with a friend since we knew the Hong Sisters and Go Youn-jung were involved (excited for Can This Love Be Translated!), and it was the best possible pregaming decision we could have made. I’m not even sure where to start or what to highlight. I’m so impressed with the writing team- every twist was unpredictable but made so much sense, and their characters were intelligent and human, so the plot moves at a lightning pace and I was genuinely shocked with how quickly things escalated. Aside from the main couple, Park Jin and Maid Kim were total highlights. The cast also seems to have a lot of chemistry together, and I wish there was another show with all of them included because I fear only 10 more episodes will not be enough for me.Was this review helpful to you?

How to rate a drama where the first part had me at the edge of my seat, while the second part almost lulled me to sleep? Hence my dilemma with Alchemy of Souls. I wasn’t sure where part two went wrong, or was it because part one was so amazing, it was hard to replicate the same excitement when I watched it?The good of Part 1:
- The chemistry between Lee Jae Wook and Jung So Min is chef’s kiss. The banter between Master and Disciple, or Master and servant in some cases, showcased expert choreography and finesse in the performance.
- The cinematography, especially during the fighting scenes, was executed with remarkable precision.
- The plot, although sometimes over-complicated, was intricate and kept me on my toes.
- The supporting characters were not one-dimensional and had depth in the roles.
- The show explained the supernatural elements later, despite them being sometimes difficult to keep up with.
- The humor is quite refreshing and quirky
- The swoon-worthy music supported the emotional journey of the characters
Part 1 Verdict: Off to an amazing start!
Combined score: 9 out of 10.
Overall impression: Should have stopped at Part 1.
