I devoured it, but...
t starts promisingly and immediately draws you in with a combination of tension, passion and mystery. The first half is literally electrifying - you could cut the chemistry between the main characters with a knife. It has great dynamics, full of sexual tension and perfectly timed dramatic twists. Unfortunately, this quality will not last. The other half forgot their strengths. The script slips into telenovela clichés, the tension between the main characters loses its spark, and their passionate scenes are replaced by lifeless sweet ones. The final part is just the last blow. While the beginning promised a complex and captivating story, the stumbling block was the ending. The plot was slowly lost. The 12th episode was crazy and the plot didn't make sense. The main man made decisions that were not only questionable, but completely pointless. What did the creators come up with? I didn't understand that. Was this review helpful to you?
Wow, that got me. In one word - beauty.
Impressions? Feelings? Experiences? Strong, deep, unforgettable. I've been looking forward to this series for a long time, but I didn't expect it to interest me like this. I swallowed one part after another and could not tear myself away from it. Cast, great music, but above all a wonderful, incredibly strong story, under the pressure of which I could not stand up, no matter how hard I tried. The biggest rush of emotions I've ever experienced while watching a movie.Plot, effects, camera, music, actors, jokes, chemistry, serious moments, everything works perfectly. I would rank it among the top dramas I've seen so far.
Do I recommend watching the drama? Certainly yes. - it was simply amazing!

So many emotions, plus a beautiful story
about family, friendship and the desire to find your own way. I really liked everything about this series. The time travel drama to my favorite 90s tells a beautifully elaborate story of love, friendship and family. Despite the emotional scenes, during which I cried like a turtle, the series had a warm effect on me. It was very good how good triumphed over evil. The cast and performances are excellent. What's quite exceptional about dramas these days is that it's great from the first episode to the last. He has no weakness. If you are interested in the topic of time travel, I definitely recommend this venture - you will not regret it. Yes, it will take a while (the series could be shortened a bit), but I can guarantee that you will really enjoy it. |9.5/10|Was this review helpful to you?
So...
... I guess I expected a little more from it? I can't say that I was disappointed by it or that I was bored by it, otherwise I wouldn't have given it four stars, but it wasn't anything to sit on my ass about for me. Maybe it's because I was practically just disoriented at the beginning and I didn't really understand what the individual characters were trying to tell me and what it was actually about. The third episode was better, I can honestly say that I enjoyed it because I felt like I finally started to understand Sarah. For me, it was a necessary backstory to be able to understand why she does what she does. The positive thing is that I can't say that the series was predictable. The cast is also very good, there really wasn't anyone I didn't trust in the role. I really like Shin Hye-seon, I also watched it because of her, and I liked her in the role of Sarah. It was something different from her, I've never seen her in a role like that before. And I thought she did a good job. It only has eight episodes, which is not much for k-dramas, but I think it could have been even shorter, maybe six? I think that would have been more ideal and the plot would have been even more compelling. But I'm very satisfied with the last two episodes, they were good for me, everything was explained and the individual characters mostly got what they wanted all along. Was this review helpful to you?
I enjoyed it...
When I heard about this series, I was really looking forward to it because it sounded fantastic. And I really enjoyed the first six episodes, it had a great atmosphere and the beautiful Canada? That was a real joy to watch. In addition, I also liked the dynamic between Ho-jin and Mu-hee, they made sense to me as a romantic couple. But then something broke and I felt like they were both acting really stupid? I got the impression that they wanted to pull more episodes out of the series, so they couldn't put them together so soon so that the viewer wouldn't get bored. But I started to feel uncomfortable at times, how cruelly Ho-jin pushed her away from her. On the other hand, I liked Mu-hee's split personality line, but I just found Do Ra-mi to be really stubborn at times. I enjoyed it a lot, but I definitely preferred when Mu-hee was herself. I expected a little more from it, but I can't say I was bothered by it.Was this review helpful to you?
This wasn't bad at all...
The concept was really interesting and Park Bo Young played the dual role with honor. I liked how the past was gradually revealed in the episodes. Many topics were discussed: bullying at school and at work, sexual harassment, burnout after an accident, first loves, relationships between children and parents, stolen identities, dreams fulfilled... Some of the supporting characters were in my way at first, but over time they stopped being in my way and I started to root for them (I really enjoyed the final episodes - I applaud the director and the screenwriter!). If I had to characterize the series in one sentence, I would say that it is about the doors that people close in their life stories and then are afraid to open. Was this review helpful to you?
Disappointing for me.(:
You know that feeling when, after watching a series, you regret that you started watching it? So this is exactly my case. I'm quite surprised how many people love it and how highly rated it is online. It was too slow and boring. Chemistry of the main characters nothing-much. Wrong choice of the main actress. I find her so childish, emotionally immature! The series suffers from many boring parts, individual episodes could have been cut into the usual half-hour pieces. Somewhere after the eleventh episode, I simply gave up on the series. I'm sorry, I don't like to write bad reviews and I usually try to cover it up but....Was this review helpful to you?
And it's here! Finally, a series where Lee Jae-Wook can shine. For me it is perfect here :).
I dug into it for a long time, I was afraid that it would be cheap, especially when it comes to effects. Well, I was terribly wrong again. The effects are great, of course we don't avoid the classics (flying), but it's very limited. Otherwise, there are great fights and the aforementioned effects are also very nice. But what makes this series special are the characters and the story. The characters do not have a single flaw and the story is original, well-entangled and exciting. Even so much so that after a very long time I couldn't wait for the next part and watched until late at night. The main two are incredibly likable and their relationship softened me to an excellent degree. The chemistry between them shines and the actress who played Mud-eok is perfect. Her transitions from Naks to maid are worth it. The creators know how to perfectly combine comedy and drama. There are a lot of really funny scenes where you can really laugh, but it's not a problem to toughen up. Too bad they didn't make more room for the main characters after they finally got closer. Sometimes Koreans annoy me, that in the best start they kind of dampen it down, stop and start solving other things. But otherwise the magic effects are great. I highly recommend it, 20 parts was too little. Was this review helpful to you?
