Best series!
Love everything about this series. Especially love Li Landi and Chen Xingxu. They have great chemistry and are both underrated. So fun to watch. I hope they get the recognition they deserve after the airing of this drama. Cgi is spectacular and obviously not cheaply made. Story is engaging and not boring at all. Each episode will leave you wanting for more episodes. Hope the drama ends on a happy note though. Fingers crossed. Highly recommended watching. 1000x better than the other xanxia drama currently airing at tencent. Was this review helpful to you?

Funny Wuxia/Fantasy drama that is enjoyable, but stupid ending.
Historical costume fantasy is not my genre, so I ended up dropping most of them after watching a few episodes (i.e., the Blue Whisper, Immortal Samsara, Song of the Moon, etc., to name a few). Surprisingly, I liked "The Starry Love" until the last two episodes, which I believe was unnecessary and stupid.Ye Tan was doing so well then, stupidly, she allowed Su Zhi to take her to resurrect Dongqiu and sacrificed herself for the peace and prosperity of the four realms. So stupid; it could have ended with episode 38 when she chose to forgive her father-in-law and figure out how to bring her sister back to life, but no. I was so disappointed with the ending.
Her father ended up losing both of his precious daughters; I was going to give it an 8.5 rating, but instead, I downgraded it to 7.5 because of the stupid ending. Overall, I enjoy it.

decent world building in a show where second leads are keeping me hooked
i am on ep 11 and i am finding the track of the second leads(the Void Prince and the Void princess) really interesting. somehow i am not able to invest my interest fully in the Empyrean Prince and the Empyrean Consort.however, I am liking the world building in the show--all four realms are shown nicely.
my only wonder is the over emphasis of violet/purple colours in the sets and clothes. does this have any symbolic significance?

Refreshing story!!!!
This was such a refreshing type of story!!!! Healthy relationships for the main leads couple!!! Healthy relationships between the siblings!!! I mean, how can this not even have an overall 8.6?????
Well, it is a genre of wuxia, so yes there was that trope of leaving in different realms, but still they brought so much originality to the whole script!!! of course, some people ,in the comments, hating on the female lead or second female lead for no reason at all!!! Siblings are supposed to be different, act differently but as long as there is love and support, it is considered a healthy relationship.
I am giving a 9.5 overall cause I feel like the ending could have been a little bit stronger. Also, the explanation/reconciliation of the father and female lead relationship did not satisfy me. Well, I understand it was the choice of the writers but I would have preferred it differently just talking from experience.

Wrong Brides, Right Fates, and a Love Story Written in the Stars
📝 Review(WARNING: Potential Spoilers — I’m Not Saving You from Any Emotional Damage)
The Starry Love is one of those rare dramas that feels entertaining from the start but quietly becomes something deeper.
On the surface, it’s a switched-bride story: two sisters sent to the wrong realms—one to the Heavenly Realm, the other to the Void. There’s even an alternate title floating around, “Wrong Bride, Right Groom,” and honestly? It fits perfectly.
Liguang Ye Tan always believed she was meant for darkness—she even dreamed of becoming the Devil of the Void. Yet somehow, she finds her truest match in the rigid, duty-bound Empyrean Xuan Shang. Meanwhile, Liguang Qing Kui—raised to be the perfect, refined Empyrean Consort—ends up thriving beside Chao Feng in the Void. (And yes, he is pretty hot. We’re not ignoring that.)
Watching the sisters adapt to unfamiliar realms is part of what makes this drama shine. They aren’t instantly transformed—they learn, adjust, and grow. Their journeys quietly reinforce the idea that identity isn’t dictated by where you’re placed, but by how you respond to it.
Now, Chen Xing Xu.
The man had to carry five distinct versions of the same character—and made each one feel fully realized.
Empyrean Xuan Shang / Shaodian Youqin — the original immortal prince: cold, disciplined, emotionally suppressed, raised to sacrifice everything for order.
La Mu (Fire Demon) — temperamental, passionate, rough-edged but surprisingly kind beneath the heat.
Mei Youqing (Heartless) — detached, precise, hardened; quieter but emotionally complex.
Wenren — playful, flirtatious, seemingly carefree, yet capable of genuine devotion.
Reintegrated Youqin — the culmination of every shard, calmer and more emotionally whole than the original.
It would’ve been easy for these versions to blur together. They didn’t. Each felt intentional, distinct, and necessary. That range alone deserves recognition.
Wu Dai also deserves a mention. He starts off as brute strength and battlefield energy—but over time, his growth softens him into something unexpectedly endearing. His development felt earned, not decorative.
Visually, this drama was stunning. The Void Realm in particular—with its purples, blacks, and gothic undertones—was immaculate. Every realm had its own identity, but the Void had style.
And as with many xianxia dramas, the Heavenly Realm continues its long-standing tradition of arrogance, elitism, and weaponized righteousness. At this point, it’s practically a genre requirement. It also consistently reinforces the idea that moral superiority does not equal moral correctness.
In the end, The Starry Love balances humor, emotion, mythology, and character growth in a way that feels complete. It entertains—but it also evolves.
💭 Final Mood
“Fate misplaced them—but destiny corrected it.”

Tragedy cum Romcom
Watch this if you’re a fan of laughing, crying and cooing all at the same time. I did not expect to cry so hard like how I did with scarlet heart no cap. This is a drama with an unexpected twist at every episode. Just when you thought it’s over, it’s not. Whatever you expect to happen, ends up being the opposite. Please watch this. The only con about this is it is a little draggy, could’ve been shortened to 30 episodes but we know how xianxia dramas are.Was this review helpful to you?

I love this drama
I loved the “ML in fall in love” so i had high expectations for this drama based on the synopsis. And truthfully speaking I wasn’t disappointed at all. The combination of comedy and romance is just perfect but honestly speaking the drama is not too perfect due to the voice dubbing but the acting over compensated for this flaw. The FL Tan is a delight, she is just the heart of the show and I hope she continues with such energy in the show. I also think later in the show the playful side of the ML will be displayed too, since his brother has mentioned to Tan that he use to be fun before he had to go into seclusion so as to shoulder his duty as the crown Prince. But overall this my best show at the moment. I can’t wait for the next episodes to released. Was this review helpful to you?

Decent but not great, lead couple had no chemistry
Decent, but not an great series that really tugs at any of my emotions or lingers long after I've finished the series. Seems they didn't have much budget for a star power cast.Pros:
- I only watched it for the ML (Chen Xing Xu) because I loved him in Goodbye My Princess and the recent modern series My Boss. He just stood out so much compared to all the other leads and support characters.
- The storyline had such great potential - but the cast seemed to fall a bit flat.
- One of the few scenes that tugged at my heartstrings was when the ML was portraying the La Mu shard (fire demon) went to make peace w/ the villagers who misunderstood and accused him - he showed up w/ such hope, innocence and kindness but instead they attacked him. That broke my heart - and Ye Tan's reaction of pity and heartache for him. That was so sad.
- The scene of Man Man's death was really sad. I like her character and the funny, loyal friendship/sidekick relationship w/ Ye Tan was cute.
Cons:
- The lead couple Ye Tan and You Qing had little to no chemistry at all, which is crucial for this type of storyline of undying devotion/sacrifice for love (such as Ashes of Love, Ten Mile of Peach Blossoms, Love & Destiny).
- The cast was weak, no star power. I watch a LOT of dramas and I didn't recognize any of the lead or support actors (other than the ML Chen Xing Xu). The Heavenly Emperor was one of the worst, his acting was just awful, he literally had ONE facial expression the entire series!
- The two FLs (the sisters Ye Tan and Qing Kui) did not have the screen presence that these lofty roles required to captivate the audience - their acting wasn't terrible, but it wasn't great either. Qing Kui character was renowned for her beauty and gentle kindness - while the actress did portray the gentle kindness part, but she did not embody stunning beauty. She looked more like an actress that would play a 2nd or 3rd support role.
- When the ML was playing the womanizer shard, he came across as super gay/feminine rather than a womanizer/playboy.
OST - just ok, not memorable
Re-watch - nah, not worth the time

I hope my interest kicks in.
I am only on the 6th episode and I really want to like this drama. When I am watching, I usually connect with a character and love to watch their story unfold. However, so far, I have been unable to connect to any character. All of their personalities are terrible. One is supposed to be super kind and gentle but ends up just looking weak and submissive, one is supposed to be the "hero" but just seems stodgy, and judgemental, one is supposed to be the anti-hero but just looks devious and cold, and the last one is the reason I want to turn off the entire thing. The sister that is supposed to be wild and mischievous is just bitterness in the flesh. All of her actions have a very bitter tone to them. Her rebellious nature just comes off as ignorant. She is thoughtless and mean, not in the least bit funny. The plot really caught my interest because I am a big fan of that theme, but it has been a real disappointment and hasn't shown any signs of getting better. However, I will continue to the end and see if I can find the reason so many people gave it a great review. It deserves a chance and I will return with a final verdict.

Started for the Second Couple, Stayed… Briefly
The Human Realm’s queen gives birth to twin daughters with vastly different reputations. The elder sister, Qing Kui, is gentle, virtuous, and admired by all, making her the ideal bride for the Heavenly Prince. In contrast, the clever and sharp-tongued Ye Tan is misunderstood and ostracized, destined instead for the Demon Prince. When an unexpected mix-up sends each sister to the wrong groom, fate takes a dramatic turn. What follows are two unlikely yet captivating love stories, set against a growing conspiracy that threatens to disrupt all four realms. This is my first xianxia drama that I decided to watch on a whim. Unfortunately, it just wasn’t for me. I wasn’t particularly drawn to the plot; instead, I started watching after seeing a clip of the second couple and finding their bad boy–good girl trope interesting. Despite my anticipation, the heavy CGI felt too unreal and came across as cringe, especially when paired with the over-the-top comedy, which I found exhausting. On top of that, Xuan Shang’s death-and-resurrection storyline was something I especially dreaded.
The second couple stood out more to me than the main couple, but I eventually grew annoyed with Chao Feng’s constant mischief and Qing Kui’s naivety. The main couple didn’t capture my interest either, and I found myself exhausted by Ye Tan’s antics as well.
Even after taking a break and giving this drama another try, I was still unable to find it interesting. I ultimately decided to drop it after 16 episodes, as it simply wasn’t my cup of tea.
