This is my top 2 Kdrama I've ever watched

This is my top 2 Kdrama of all time behind Dr.Romantic.
This Kdrama is super good that every ending of 20 episodes will make you watch another one🤭.I love the whole cast, thanks to them they gave us a whole new amazing story. I recommend that everyone should watch this especiially if they watched serial killers documentary, this Kdrama has it! I love this Kdrama even it has no good music that I like and that's how I love this Kdrama. In terms of rewatching it I will say that 40% possibility that I will rewatch it because there is no mystery and guessing what will happen next in the story.

a masterpiece

I do not usually leave reviews like this on any show that I watch, just a short comment about whether or not I enjoyed a certain show or not but I felt like I had to write one this time. I started watching Mouse for the first time in March this year but the length of the episodes kind of threw me off at first. The only show I watched that had 1 hour and 20-30 minute long episodes was Crash Landing On You and it took me a while to get used to that. Other than the length of the episodes, I also had a hard time getting interested in this show because I found the first two episodes quite uninteresting so I decided not to continue it because I had many other shows to start and finish so I just decided to drop it. Around September, I started seeing more and more content about Mouse and I was thinking about giving it a chance again even though I already knew who the actual killer was, which kind of ruined the whole experience for me but thankfully there were still some suprises. Anyway, I did start to watch it again and this time I did not drop it and managed to finish all 20 episodes, including one of the episodes from the special, which was very useful because it showed how Jung Ba Reum committed the m+rders.
What did I really think about Mouse?
Well, I believe that it is one of the best thriller/crime kdramas I have ever seen. Other than the top-notch acting and interesting storyline I think that this show had no flaws. Suprisingly, I did not really hated anyone, other than the woman who was behind everything because the fact that she toyed with people and let innocent people die aóbut still got pardoned enranged me quite a bit but oh well. The ending made me really sad though, I tried not to have any sort of symphathy towards Ba Reum but I did feel quite sorry for him towards the end. He was a bad person indeed but after the brain surgery he did start to change although that does not really cancel out the fact that he m+rdered so many innocent people. I think him dying was quite fair for him. I am really glad that all the characters who went through so much got their happy ending.
I do not really have much else to say, but I'd recommend everyone to watch this show because it is really worth it. If you are a fan of crime dramas then this is definitely for you.
It has a lot of triggering things in it though, so I would not recommend it to people who can not really take stuff like that. (For example animal cruelty etc..)

chills!!!

little late to the party but holy shit 😭this is not just a muder mystery kinda show its a cinematic manipulation to the viewer which makes it 10x better than any show under the same category. i cant express how many times this show has left me shocked and speechless. every single thing that appeared on camera had a role in making the show way more jaw dropping that it alrdy is. props to whoever came up with this masterpiece. the only reason this isnt a 10 for me is because of choi hongju and go muchi’s lovestory that didnt get to see the light of day 😔😔 other than that this show had left chills all over my body with every single episode!! highly recommended for murder mystery lovers!

The plot was excellent but in my opinion they missed the main topic

so what is the story about what happens if we can identify pyscopaths in advance ,should we kill them in womb or not?and from watching the whole series all i could conclude is that people with pyscopath gene can be gentle too that 1% ,even if their are low possibility everyone deserves that ,but in the end the billl passed to kill the foetus.wow what was the director telling us? else the plot was good, totally thriller and mystery you cant think of what happens next. so kamshamida i hope it helps

the fast and furious of kdramas if fast and furious involved serial killers and genetic experiments.

Of course, "Mouse" isn't perfect. There are times when it's so over-the-top that it's hard to take it seriously, and there are plot holes big enough to drive a truck through. But honestly, that's part of what makes it so fun. "Mouse" is the kind of show that's so wild that you just have to go along for the ride. And let me tell you, Bareum's got some serious demons. Like, "I talk to my dead mom and have hallucinations" kind of demons.
One of the best things about "Mouse" is the characters. Lee Seunggi is amazing as the best friend of the protagonist - he's so good that you almost forget he's supposed to be a bad guy. And the protagonist himself is a hot mess but somehow, you can't help but root for him.
This show has everything: a rookie cop, a psychopathic killer, and enough twists and turns to make your head spin. But don't worry, it's not all doom and gloom.

Lee Seung Gi is a God. That is all.

Okay, so this wasn't the perfect show that I was expecting. I unfortunately had very high hopes after reading other reviews and seeing the show's enduring popularity since its release. I could see the big twist from a mile away, albeit not entirely -- though it seemed obvious from the outset that something was up, I could never have predicted the actual plot. The first plot twist was interesting. The second was good, despite being predictable. The ensuing revelations were just a bit too... insane for my liking. Unrealistic? Let's go with unrealistic. Maybe I'm just the type of person to like realism in my crime thriller investigation shows, idk.

But, oh my god, Lee Seung Gi did not disappoint. Lee Seung Gi went above and beyond any expectations I had of him. Lee Seung Gi's performance carried this show on his back like Atlas at the edge of the Earth. Lee Seung Gi is a god. Like, we should literally get on our knees and bow. That's how good he is in this show.

With my personal reservations about this show and its... realism in its latter half, a weaker actor, or even just an actor taking a different route to Lee Seung Gi, might've turned this drama into a total let down for me. Yet, despite its issues, goddamn did I cry like a baby at the end of this show. And goddamn did I wake up in the middle of the night for days after finishing this show, cold sweat, thinking about it. Thinking about Lee Seung Gi and how much of a goddamn god he is. Again, bow.

So, yes. Watch this drama. Even for Lee Seung Gi alone (but especially for Lee Seung Gi, regardless), watch this drama. And bow.

P.s. that goddamn bird. that goddamn bird.

Mouse – Masterclass in Psychological Thriller

Mouse is the kind of drama that demands your full attention.... blink, and you miss a crucial detail.

The first episode is intentionally confusing, but by episode two, the suspense, tension, and eerie atmosphere hook you completely. What initially feels like a straightforward crime drama soon transforms into something far deeper and more unsettling.

One of the strongest aspects of Mouse is how boldly it plays with identity, morality, and perception. Just when you think the culprit is revealed, the drama flips the narrative with shocking twists, especially around Ba Reum and Yo Han. The reveal that changes the entire foundation of the story is executed brilliantly and forces viewers to rethink everything they believed until that point.

The drama also doesn’t shy away from criticizing media exploitation, the failures of the justice system, and society’s obsession with sensationalism. At the same time, it explores the disturbing psychology of killers and challenges the viewer with uncomfortable moral questions about punishment, justice, and human nature.

What makes Mouse truly powerful is how it blurs the line between good and evil. Even when the truth is revealed, emotions remain conflicted. It’s intense, disturbing, and exceptionally well-written...
a standout psychological thriller that keeps you questioning everything till the end.

Not impressed but not bad

seriously, I hate leaving reviews on Drama's before finishing them but this is just no. Straight off from episode 1 I was just not impressed. Episode one was all over the place for me. It was messy and irritating. It began getting a bit more interesting when they began introducing the idea to identify psychopaths' before they were born. The psycopath gene and genius gene was quite interesting but it just went downhill again.
Episode 2 on the other hand was great! I loved watching that kid and his past, the fact that he scratched his own arm just to control his irritation to others was great. then again it began going down and I nearly dropped the show like 5 times. Ep 3 was mid.
Episode 4 was incredible! the 7 deadly sin's part was genius, I never would have thought of that. The whole news broadcast in ep 4 was perfection, I would rewatch that episode alone. Then again the rest was just pathetic and messy.
after episode 4 the rest was unbareable. I HATE Bong Yi will all my heart. She irritates me beyond words. she was unbearable, I hate characters like her.
Sung Yo Han totally saved the show for me. Definitely my fave character, The second they killed him I knew this show would be crap. The whole brain surgery thing was where I almost gave up entirely.
Even though I hate it, I will finish the show because I have dignity. If by some chance I end up likin the rest of the show I will update my review and change my rating but at this point, I wont be able to rate in higher than a 5. I adore thriller and crime mystery drama but this one is just not for me,

edit: Oh my god!! I am so happy i decided to continue. the plot twist in ep 14 was pure GOLD. who wrote this script?? some sort of mastermind probably. My rating went up from 5 to 7.5. Amazing

The reveals remain impactful even for someone who was spoiled

There's acting that moves the audience to applaud in awe while watching, and then there's Lee Seung-gi whose performance is so immersive that it’s easy to forget I'm watching a drama. The feeling of it being very natural is primarily the reason I want to give the show the highest rating.

Within the landscape of detective kdramas Mouse has one of the most efficient character utilization. Even though the cast fulfills familiar character templates - the cool chief, the slightly clueless but useful sidekick, the rat, the dependable detective, the rival, the ex partners, and the detective who crosses between good and evil with compelling reason - the portrayal is balanced and does not lean on exaggerated clichés.

Where the storytelling stumbles is the abrupt disconnect in the middle. From a cohesive narrative episode by episode the jarring transition to an unrelated arc pulls the viewer out of the previously built momentum.

I give merit to the idea of science-fiction though it does not appeal to me. The morality discussion will be left to those who are inclined to dig into it.

One aspect surprisingly overlooked is the mother’s role. With her insistence on shouldering the blame for her son, she never fully confronts that she maneuvered circumstances that significantly shaped who the characters became. The pd lady was another character with useless lines. Aside from her program being too convenient for the plot, she attempts to position herself as a key figure especially in moments where she provokes the “father of all psychopaths”  only to ultimately contribute little to none. The plot is better served by the two other characters who take over the crucial end.

Not to be missed if you are a thriller fan

LIKE

The non-stop plot twists making my head spin the entire drama - it was that good

Went to check on the scriptwriter and realised she wrote Black - omg Black killed my brain cells!

DISLIKE

Society who judge others as long as there was a family history - no chances given no matter how hard one tries

MUSIC

Not to my liking

Underrated.

I watched Mouse a year ago and has been feining for more ever since.

This vibe is so thrilling to me, because of some suggestions off tiktok i watched "Blind" and "Flover of evil" but none of them came close. I really hope Mouse resurfaces the internet and gets the attention it deserves.
