When I Fly Towards You is, without question, one of the most emotionally healing coming-of-age dramas I've ever watched. Rather than relying on toxic misunderstandings, unnecessary love triangles, or emotionally manipulative tropes, it quietly reminds you that kindness, patience, and emotional safety can be just as captivating.
At its heart is Zhang Lurang, whose reserved and withdrawn personality is deeply rooted in growing up within a highly critical family. His instinct is always to retreat, protecting himself from further disappointment. Then enters Su Zaizai, a walking ray of sunshine whose steady encouragement, warmth, and unconditional acceptance create the psychological safety he never had. She never tries to "fix" him; instead, she consistently shows him that he is worthy of love exactly as he is. Helping him to slowly unlearn years of self-doubt simply because someone believes in him is one of the most beautiful character journeys I've seen.
What makes this drama stand out even more is how healthy every relationship feels. The romance is built on mutual respect, honest communication, and emotional maturity. Jealousy isn't weaponized. Misunderstandings aren't dragged out for episodes. Instead, the characters communicate, reassure one another, and choose trust over assumptions.
The friendships deserve just as much praise. Their friend group feels like a true chosen family and a safe place where everyone is allowed to grow, make mistakes, discover who they are, and cheer each other on. Rather than having one character save everyone else, they grow together, validating each other's emotions and becoming mirrors that help one another mature. It's incredibly refreshing and deeply relatable.
Perhaps my favorite part, though, is the atmosphere. The entire drama wraps you in nostalgia. Pleasant series, but “nothing new under the sun”
Growing-up and puppy romance series, which begins in high school and continues into adulthood. The ML, a brilliant but lonely student with poor self-esteem (perpetual comparison with his more brilliant brother), arrives at a new high school and meets a warm and cheerful high school girl (the FL), whose unconditional love will soon bring him out, barely out of its shell.PROS:
+ Excellent ML (Zhou YiRan)
+ All the characters are nice (a little too much "cinnamon rolls") (ﾟヘﾟ)？
+ simple story, without villain or break-up
CONS:
- very very childish FL character, and the actress has a annoying voice.
- plot so classic that it is worn out.

Série Grow-up et puppy romance, qui commence au lycée et se poursuit jusqu'à l'âge adulte. Le ML, élève brillant mais solitaire et avec une mauvaise estime de soi (comparaison perpétuelle avec son frère plus brillant), arrive dans un nouveau lycée et rencontre une lycéenne (la FL) chaleureuse et enjouée, dont l'amour inconditionnel va le sortir peu à peu de sa coquille.
PROS:
+ TB ML (Zhou YiRan)
+ Tous les personnages sont sympas (un peu "bizounours")
+ story simple, sans villain ni break-up
CONS:
- personnage de la FL très très puéril, et voix agaçante.
- plot tellement classique qu'il est usé.

Rang Rang, | love you!?????
meu deus, eu amo muito assistir Cdrama! esse dorama para mim combinou "friends" to lovers TÃO BOM, você percebe eles se apaixonando e que bonito. apesar da maioria dos chamas ter essa meio que fofice em protagonistas, esse deu para suporta bem, além de ter partes que ela se impõe bem!amei acompanhar e perceber o tempo passar desde que eles se conheceram aos 14 anos e começa a namorar aos 16/17/18 anos , que LINDO !!!
agora já na faculdade... que perfeição!
amei também o desenvolvimento do casal secundário de amigos, já nos 45' do segundo tempo , muito bom!

Confort Drama
This drama is not like those that contain many misunderstandings and breakups. This one makes people happy and want a love life like theirs. I think the story is pretty good, maybe just missing some spots because it's only 24 eps. The thing I liked the most about this drama is the characters. In other dramas I've watched, the leads are simply coworkers. Here, I really feel like they're friends in real life. The way Zhou Yiran and Zhang Miaoyi look at each other makes me want to melt. They have an excellent chemistry and I'm manifesting for them to have a 2nd drama together. If you don't like misunderstandings and messy breakups, this drama is for you.Was this review helpful to you?
Both ML are green flags and along with the secondary characters/best friends carry the series. ML’s character is better than the FL as is his acting.

The most refreshing drama
I expected this to be another youth drama with friendships and romance but more focusing on romance than anything else. Actually, this had the perfect amount for everything.It made me want to have a friend group like them, there was no second man to take the main girl away. This was realistic but in a romantic, nice, fresh way.
The opening song is amazing, and hits you with nostalgia that I never actually felt. The acting was great for everyone, everyone matched the character they needed to play, and the story was amazing. It was not over the top drama, it was just real life issues, insecurities, thoughts, and it ended in the most adorable way.
Definitely watching this again.

My new comfort drama.
Loved everything about it. The fl is so good made me search up and watch everything she's in the ml too. The romance was so pure, the type that makes you giggle and blush. The hidden smiles and cute shyness of the ml really gave it that high school teen romance vibes and obviously our bold and bubbly fl who wouldn't fall for her . Nice entertaining drama
I feel amid so much chaos and pressure in life, it is a drama where you will feel fresh after watching and sure you will recall your childhood days. This drama is full of love and friendship and how you can balance everything. The bonding between the main five characters is so good and they complement each other so well. Although I had a favourite,main lead's romance. I have watched many dramas and surely it will be one of my favourite drama that i enjoyed and would like to watch again!! From the start this was a heart warming show that had me giggling under my sheets, skipping the outro just so I could see more of Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang.The story follows Su ZaiZai, a true definition of a sunshine girl, who meets a handsome mysterious boy at a nearby convenience store in the rain. She immediately has her eye on him but guess what? she gets his name wrong.
She comedically mistakes him for his best friend Gu Ran and you can guess what happens from there.
I especially love how this show was able to showcase all of the lovely relationships and how real and true it was. Gu Ran and Jiang Jia were absolute end game and I love how there story was written. they were the true definition of enemies to friends to lovers. there was a true growth in their relationship that most people don't showcase when they write.
Also the cuteness overload is intense, so prepare to have aching cheeks by the time you're done. i hope you guys enjoy like light, heartwarming drama as much as I did❤️

an easy watch that leaves a lasting impression
it’s a really easy watch , a coming-of-age series that leaves a lasting impression on the viewers. the cast was perfect for each character. i love the whole grumpy x sunshine that later turned into sun x sunshine.no love triangles which i love ! and mostly very light and comforting to watch. the plot got me so hooked that i finished watching the series in just one day. it became one of my comfort dramas and i’m already on my second rewatch of the show. i recommend watching this ❤️

"Knowing oneself", there to be with you
‘When I Fly Towards You’ presents us with a fairly simple premise of young love. However, the way the story unfolds is refreshing and sweet. At times, I found myself sighing and smiling fondly at the scenes. First, I must say that Su Zai Zai is not a typical young woman blinded by one-sided love. She falls in love at first sight, yes, that's a fact, but she values herself and her beliefs, confronts what seems inappropriate, and puts her efforts in the right direction, studying and working harder and harder.The protagonist, Zhang Lu Rang, is surrounded by a difficult life, being oppressed by his family, sometimes consciously, sometimes unconsciously. It is interesting to follow his openness and sincerity as he grows up, not only with the support of ZaiZai, but also with other friends he has made along the way.
This brings us to the supporting roles, the three friends, Gu Ran, Jiang Jia and Guan Fang, each with their own drama to deal with. It was good to see how their friendship grew stronger as adversity arose. I won't go too deeply into this topic, to avoid spoilers, but I felt that I wasn't just watching a love story, it was a record of youth, beautiful, bittersweet, happy and free, as everyone should have the opportunity to experience at least once in their lives.
Mind you, I'm not young. I went through secondary school and university a long time ago. However, I was taken back to that time when life seemed simpler and full of opportunities. And it was, of course. I felt a warm sensation, and as the story progressed, I often found myself in similar situations. Having fun with friends, worrying about getting into college, starting my professional life, balancing relationships, seeking support, and doing my best.
This drama is for those who are nostalgic and desperately need hope and sweetness in their lives.
I hope it finds its way to you when the time comes.

i literally have not reviewed any of the dramas i’ve recently watched but this show made me feel SO many emotions that i just have to dictate it 😭can i just say that one of the things i love about this was the switch up of zhang lurang after falling in love?? he LITERALLY couldn’t stop smiling and neither could i 🥹
additionally, the scene of su zaizai ignoring him gutted me. girls do so much for the boy they love and it reminded me of high school me so bad.
i’m so excited for wimtm now!!!
