A MUST WATCH!

Never have I ever come across a drama that is so simple, so beautiful, so perfect, and just gives you all the right feels in your heart. From acting to story and casting to music, everything was done perfectly right. I can't tell you the number of times I have gone back to watch this drama. And I can say for sure that once you watch it, it's going to become your comfort drama and you won't be able to resist to its charm.

If I were to wish anything more in this drama, then it would be to see a little more of their married life and romantic scenes, but even now it is perfect as it is.

Unexpectly cute HS drama

Pretty cute HS drama w/o excessive cringe scenes & bad characters. Easily binge through 24 ep.

Positives:
1. Super cute cast especially the ML , FL and FL's bestie.
2. 5 friends ALL have very different and good personalities.
3. Positive teachers? What? in a C-Drama?
4. Minimal negative characters & lines although the ML's mom's scenes I still needed to skip that.
5. Chemistry: ML & FL personalities compliment each other very well.
6. Dialogue: Plenty of funny lines
7. Enough substance: coming of age experiences for character growth.
8. Natural sounding voices & natural makeup. Simplicity is key

Not so Great:
FL's character is still semi cringe. This does fall into the drama trope of academically challenged Female (at least she excels in English) that talks 10 years younger & always need to be saved.

my new favorite relationship!

ahh! I love this series so much. They did a very good job building up the leads' relationship as well as the overall friendship aspect too. I love that even though this is set in high school and a coming of age story, the leads were very mature and there were no stupid misunderstandings. I think the magic here really is their friendship. You get to see more of how much they rely on one another and how they are best friends first before becoming a couple. The bubbly girl - stoic guy trope is done very well and I did not find any of them annoying at all.

Plus you get comedy and humor with the friendship group and the second leads too! Everyone is just very likeable and looks after one another. Really the epitome of youth, in a very healthy way.

I wish they would've showed more of the leads' relationship in college and beyond as well as the second leads too. And there are some annoying family drama, but well worth the watch regardless. But nonetheless, I'm very happy with what we got!

My sweet tooth is hurting because of this drama

I was really so tired of the shows with all that pointless toxicity that I wanted to quit watching drama. So this one brought my life back I never think I have smiled so much looking at a drama. No pointless toxicity at all no useless crying and every episode being an happy episode this drama is officially my favourite.

I never loved all the characters so much I am definitely watching it again soon. It will be hard for me to move on from such a wonderful drama

It had no misunderstanding, no irritating characters, no drama just 2 people being in love and having a easy happy ever after.


It had so many sweet moments that my sweet tooth started aching and I love the fact.

Wholesome and healthy lovestory

Super cute drama about first and true love. It’s definitly a drama that will make you smile! The lovestory is super wholesome and healthy. The relationship between the two main characters is characterized by loyalty and trust. I never felt distressed or annoyed while watching because the is no toxicity and no unnecessary drama.
In the beginning the story it’s a little silly and i thought „oh it’s one of those typically and cringy highschool dramas“ but as the story develops and the characters grow older the story gets more mature as well.
So give it a chance and you won’t be disappointed! :)

LET'S KEEP THIS MEMORY SAFE IN A CAMERA

I sat through this one, waiting for new EPs and rounding up with the ending while thinking of a better way to summarize it. And I guess I can say. Cute?

Or perhaps in a more sophisticated way, let's keep this little memories safe in the camera.

One thing I really appreciate about this one is the nice and naive depiction of first love and it's bubbly butterfly feeling throughout the story amongst our leads. Going from high school to their wedding. It was really nice.

Plot wise, It wasn't something so wow. Not something heavily impactful. Not something with plot twist and all. It's Just something with a feel good nostalgic atmosphere. Something you can sit through and watch while smiling. Something to pass time with I guess? It was a decent plot for it's genre and nicely done.

The Acting was something I really appreciated as well. They were just good for their roles and nailed it as well.

The Ost was something also good and suiting for the drama's atmosphere ( But sadly not something I'd consider adding to my playlist 😅)

Overall This drama was a Decent watch for people who likes such genre. Because it really did give what it was expected to deliver. But i personally don't think it's something to leave a heavy impression on me for that long Maybe?

It was just a cute watch. Watching cute people fall in love and run around while overcoming their various obstacles and becoming better versions of themselves.

A cute youthful feel good drama I'd recommend. And to all who really enjoyed it. I'd also recommend LET'S MEET NOW😅. Apparently both drama has some connections and I basically can't compare since they're different genre.



Overall, it has my rating of 8/10.

When I Fly Towards You: 1/28/2024 ~ 1/30/2024

This will forever be my favorite show, I rewatch at least once every couple of months. This is simply because it has everything you could want in a show. The romance is amazing and the chemistry is very there but not in an overpowering way but one that fits the ML and FL vibe. There is also so much friendship and those scenes have to be my favorite because it just makes me wish to have something like that. Also the secondary couple is so cute in the way the care for each other even though it took them a while to get there, I know I’m not saying a lot buts it’s simply because I can’t put into words how amazing this drama is but instead I just recommend that everyone watches it.

This holds a special place in my heart

"The story began in the summer of 2012, but it will never end."

I've always been a fan of coming-of-age/school life stories because they make my heart ache with nostalgia from events that I've never experienced.

In the summer before starting high school, Su Zaizai sees someone walking slowly in the rain. She calls him an idiot for not walking faster, and maybe it was from this moment on that the wheels of fate began to turn. She got a glimpse of his face and fell in love at first sight. He remembered the face of the girl who randomly scolded him.

Zhang Lurang may look cold and aloof on the outside, but this is just a shell to hide his low self-esteem and lack of confidence. It was only through meeting Su Zaizai that, for the first time, he learned that someone could unapologetically love him just for being himself. It was her genuine warmth that thawed his frozen heart, and he began smiling more and more for her. They both wanted to improve for the other and become better versions of themselves.

I also love how Zhang Lurang wasn't portrayed as a top student who excelled in every subject and how Su Zaizai wasn't portrayed as someone who failed in every subject. This made them seem more human to me. She taught him English; He taught her maths and physics.

I loved all 5 of the characters in the main friend group and how even though they split up for university (well not all), they still remained good friends even after they've started working.

I liked the second couple a lot, but not as much as the first. Some other viewers prefer the second couple more because their relationship is more realistic. However, I still prefer Su Zaizai and Zhang Lurang's relationship more because I'm someone who watches c-dramas to escape from real life - and their relationship was the perfect antidote for all my negative emotions. Although there were some misunderstandings sprinkled here and there, they weren't excessive and were quickly resolved.

Another aspect of this drama that I especially loved was how we got to see the clips Su Zaizai took with her camcorder at the end of each episode, it really makes me want to buy one too.

The only negative aspects of this drama for me were that:
- the ending was quite rushed; I would of preferred if we got more detail of their university and adult lives (especially as I binge-watched the second half of the drama within a day so their lives literally flew by so fast, I regret it so much TwT) + plus some of the side plots were skimmed over
- the awkward acting in some of the scenes e.g. some of Su Zaizai's smiles looked really fake and strained + the amount of times the actors cleared their throats whenever they were nervous was a bit unnecessary

I definitely preferred the first half of the story over the second half, because it was just teenagers having fun and doing dumb things together. It makes me wish for those kind an forever friends, where we run together on the beach and watch many sunrise and sunsets. Although the second half was good too, I'll definitely reminicise about the first half more fondly.

I teared up at the ending of the drama when they started playing the flashbacks because it made me fully realise just how long I was with the characters for: from teenage youth to university life to employment.

During the first couple of episodes, I only thought that this drama was cute and heartwarming and nothing more. But it's funny isn't it? How some stories can slowly etch themselves into our hearts without us even realising it. This story will stay with me for a long time.

I almost dropped it

I almost dropped it, I was persistent and kept watching because I was curious as to why it had a very high rating.
The vibe was nice, but it was not until they dropped the GR and JJ thing, that I was willing to keep watching. They were probably the ones that held the drama until the last 4-5 episodes.
Before that, there was no story, no plot, not real progress, just a bunch of random things happening in high school to a group of friends that was formed just because, and a cute girl wanting to be friends with a boy that didn't want anything to do with anyone.
Not early, just by the time GR realized his feelings towards JJ, they first showed the conflict every character was facing, and I could care more about the characters. Wish it could've been earlier in the series.
I guess viewers liked the vibes and the friendship. And I also liked that, but I think it could have been better plotted. It was not until they faced hardships together, that I believed their friendship was real.
Also, I hated how ZZ grew apart from her best friend because she liked RR.
As to GR and JJ, I liked them a lot!! I was so excited when their romantic story started, but sadly, it didn't live up to the expectations, the characters were not shown in most of the last episodes, so no progress, and then they rushed it in the last episode. If they wanted to give them screen time, they should have done something that was worth with it.
As to RR and ZZ, they were very cute, but I only enjoyed their romantic story in the last 4-5 episodes or so, they didn't have any progress during the whole series practically. I loved their couple phase, and how RR treats her (apart from the fact he is so handsome) they were a very cute couple. I liked that they grew up together. But during the school phase, it was literally watching an annoying girl insisting on building a friendship with a guy she found cute, and I didn't even know in the first episodes if RR was annoyed by her or not.
I also didn't like that ZZ didn't have any flaws or personal conflicts, almost everyone had. Which made the series more enjoyable and makes the audience empathize and care for the characters. Almost all of them found themselves, learnt things, but ZZ (I'm talking about her bc she's the protagonist) didn't go through any struggles, personal conflict, more than expecting RR wouldn't ask her to not talk to her any more.
I liked the vibes the drama gave, and I liked the couple tropes, but they failed to light the drama early + there was no real plot.

So, if you have patience, like school vibes, handsome ml and pretty fl, cute couple moments, and don't mind a plot-less drama, but a life of a couple from their school years to their adult phase. I think it can be a good choice.
