Refreshing!
If you want something chill and refreshing, this is the series for you! If you want some drama then I would advise you to come back to it another time.By now, you've probably read many reviews saying how nice and wonderful this drama is and in all honesty I wholly agree! Now I would advise, don't go into this expecting something phenomenal. It's not something new and never been done before and it certainly won't be the last. People who've read all the reviews and started watching it while riding the hype train will certainly feel very underwhelmed. This series isn't doing anything out of this world. Just take it as it is with the only expectation being that it has 'little to no drama' kinda mindset.
Now my personal reason for liking this series so much. I've watched a lot of drama in my life, more than I can remember to list them all on here, but this series was just nice. While being so unproblematic unlike real life, it was still so realistic. The plot is pretty mundane in that it's a slice-of-life romance series of a group of friends in high school, following their journey as they grow up. That's it. Nothing crazy. But what I love so much about it is that they take certain scenarios that you've probably seen countless times in other romance series and, wait for it... have the couples communicate!! Wild. But no, seriously. Nothing in this series will make you feel frustrated and make you want to rip your hair out. You can enjoy it for being unrealistically realistic while feeling happy inside thinking that somewhere in the world, there is a couple out there who is as much of a green flag as the couple in this "drama". It's a slice-of-life so you should definitely be aware that this series is not a minute by minute take on the character's life but rather the most eventful. It's not a deep dive into every conversation that they ever had so having mainly chill moments is also plausible. From watching this I certainly found myself kicking my feet a little at cute moments between the characters and felt like I really missed out on certain aspects of my own personal life. If anyone else here reads mangas, it really reminds me of one of my fav. also similarly chill/fluffy manga "RERE Hello". I felt like the cast all acted their part well and the comedy was casual but still funny. Overall, I just liked it because they did an already done trope well. Also, one gripe that I have about many drama is that they usually don't know how to end a series, one issue that this series didn't have problem with. I felt like they ended it at the perfect time and I wouldn't have had it any other way. I would 100% recommend this to anyone who is tired of/or just wants a break from gut wrenching sad dramas. Take it as it is and just enjoy!

sweet- but something was missing! 7.5-8
I really enjoy coming of age dramas, and so naturally I enjoyed this series. The main couple has a very healthy dynamic, and the show does not rely on unnecessary drama to move the plot. If you like low-stress series, I would recommend!However, I do have some grievances.
1. At certain points i felt that rangrang was a bit too nonchalant like sometimes it really did seem like zaizai was harboring a one-sided attraction.
2. the highschool portion of the series was too long, while the adulthood portion was only a few episodes, I absolutely adored the 2nd couple in the series and their story was completely neglected during the adulthood portion!
3. It felt like a rushed ending.

must-watch for fans of youth dramas
When I Fly Towards You is undeniably one of the most adorable youth dramas out there. Su Zai Zai and Zhang Lu Rang make a cute couple, and their love story is as sweet as it is heartwarming. The series is a light romance but feels deep because of the strong connections between the characters.Aside from the main leads' relationship, the dynamic between the second leads, Gu Ran and Jiang Jia, truly caught my attention. Their chemistry is undeniable, and they feel perfectly matched. Sadly, they were given less screen time, with some of their scenes even unaired. Honestly for me, Gu Ran and Jiang Jia stood out more than the main leads. Gu Ran is irresistibly endearing. The way he looks at Jiang Jia—with pure admiration and sincerity—is nothing short of captivating. Gu Ran is definitely a green flag man.
This drama is a must-watch for fans of youth dramas. The characters share a bond that feels genuine and heartfelt, making it a truly unforgettable youth drama.

August 11, 2023When I Fly Towards You has hit all the spots in my heart. The way it has green flag male lead and female lead. That is just amazing in itself and this is a youth drama that we are talking about.
First and foremost, the development of our leads love story is just majestic in the way it was written. It was like slow and steady, but not too slow or too fast. The little glimpse that they take on each other is just so cute. And did I mention how green flag both our leads are?!!! LIKE WHERE DO THESE EXIST? CAUSE CLEARLY NOT IN FKING AREA.
I am so happy to be able to watch this drama because it gives me the feels. The way our leads have such a healthy communication with each other. The way they treat each other with respect and love. No stupid misunderstanding troupe. Everything is solved whenever a misunderstanding is about to develop. No stupid and unnecessary break up. Like whoa, Chinese dramas did so well this time of the year.
Hidden Love, Exclusive Fairytale, and When I Fly Towards You, these are the holy trinity of the Chinese Youth Dramas of this year!

refreshing, sweet, like a cup of tea in the morning
I just really like this one. Every time hits different and not boring at all. meaningful conversations and heartful acting! every conflict has a very good solving and every episode has its own special charm.Even if I just let it play on my tv without even watching it, I can recognize every story from its voice.
It's how familiar it is to my ear, and they're just like my real family at this point.

Must watch for teens - Positive Influence
This show is very cute & clichéd. There are no bad guys. It's an ideal world they lived in with lots of wholesome moments, details & full of life youthful high school days. There are aspirations, admirations & endearingly sweet dreams that brings a bunch of school fellows best friends for life.I love how it sheds light on the importance of having positive influence around in your teens and how life changing happiness can be for humans. Nothings permanent but efforts can make life & this world better for people we love & cherish.
V clean & inspirational story. Teens should watch it.

the best cdrama of all time
I get emotional every time I think about this show. It is honestly one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever watched. it is and will forever will be my favourite show. It has such a nostalgic and pure feeling, especially in the way it shows love, friendship, and youth. The story is beautifully written, with both big and small moments that make everything feel real. I love how it shows young love being pure and sweet without making it perfect or unrealistic. There is still drama, heartbreak, and everyday problems, which makes it even more special. I’ve rewatched it over 10 times, and I still love it just as much. I genuinely don’t have enough words to explain how perfect this drama is. A MUST WATCH!
Never have I ever come across a drama that is so simple, so beautiful, so perfect, and just gives you all the right feels in your heart. From acting to story and casting to music, everything was done perfectly right. I can't tell you the number of times I have gone back to watch this drama. And I can say for sure that once you watch it, it's going to become your comfort drama and you won't be able to resist to its charm.If I were to wish anything more in this drama, then it would be to see a little more of their married life and romantic scenes, but even now it is perfect as it is.

Youth Drama at its finest !!
Usually I take MDL ratings with a pinch of salt but this is one of the rare times where the rating actually reflects the quality of the series..in fact I would say this rating is less for how good this drama is...no angst, no unnecessary conflicts..pure love and friendship as it should be..the FL was so charismatic that you couldn't help but fall in love with her..the ML was d definition of boyfriend material...loved d secondary couple and thought they were really amazing which is quite rare for me..overall a beautiful, lively, heartwarming drama that will make you smile and cry happy tears throughout !! bravo !! 10/10 without any reservations!! also special mention to d cinematography !!Was this review helpful to you?
best thing ever
this is LITERALLY the best thing ever on earth, i keep rewatching it and looking at lots of edits. i literally giggle and laugh the whole time while watching. i can admit, ive cringed often but it wasnt even that bad since su zaizai is a silly, funny cute girl despite that she can stand up for herself and if she falls down she will get up right away and doesnt let us sit in the cringe moment for a long time. their friendgroup and relationships are so admirable and it seems like peak teenage friendshipWas this review helpful to you?

i have watched many kdramas and i wanted to try cdramas now soo,this one is most trending one that's tried it out and honestly it was worth watching!!description :
story about a friend group of five where the main fl likes a boy in their grp so,she wants to become close to him and that's how the story goes(this might sound normal storyline but, believe me it's rlly cute and will make you blush lol)

I love male main Leed
I loved this drama. I really liked the male main lead because he is completely my type. I want my future husband to be like him—caring, loving, and trusting me unconditionally. I also loved the female main lead; she is so cute. In fact, both of them are really cute! Plus, I liked the female main lead's best friend a lot too—her smile is so beautiful. I also really liked the male main lead's two best friends—they are total gentlemen!
