Alright, this one is a doozy, the premise: a squad of gays fighting corruption in the Thai law and police force, fucking amazing, so exciting. Less great, the MC, white, the most irritating piece of shit you've ever met, the actor who plays him does fine with playing Black so its clearly a character problem. The whole romance with Sean and White felt so left field, I thought white would be more likely to try eat lava than fuck Sean but here we are. And here I am watching ep 12 and white fucking kissing Sean with very clearly no consent (so sexually assaulting him). Also, Yok and Dan, loved that idea. Yok is fucking hilarious, I love him, I love the inclusion of deaf person into the narrative re: his mom, and Dan, as UNAR is iconic, love me some graffiti criticizing the government, but Dan as Dan *vomiting emoji* not only is his personality akin to that of a white break crust, he is also supposed to be one of the "good" cops which is not what you want to see in a series critiquing the police force. And then there is Eugene and Gram (RIP all the GramBlack supporters). It just makes me feel sorry for Eugene, like the woman is still recovering from dealing with the heartbreak from WhiteasBlack and Gram decides now is the time to shoot his shot, he unsurprisingly gets rejected and keeps fucking trying. Also, wtf is Grams's deal, like why is he there, do we know? All I know is I absolutely hated how domineering he was in ep 12, bitch didn't allow Eugene to have agency at all. Red Flags all the way. And then there is poor Gumpa who is being used and abused as nothing but a plot device. Why does this man just adopt random kids and train them like he was a military guy? why is he teaching basically children to fire a gun? Who's to say?

Overall, was it good? sure if you don't mind skipping the endless amount of SeanWhite shoved in your face constantly.
Now I know what you're thinking, Epsilon what did you expect. For one, something like manner of death, you know, where the romance and the plotline co-exist, instead of the romance undermining the plot, and second, a less irritating protagonist, like I'm sorry but Off and Gun felt more like to be Santa's elves at your local shopping mall than human rights activists. Like everyone else fits except those two. Also, I would have loved to see a woman in their squad, like Namo would have been an excellent fit and it would uplit her character to more than "person with a crush on Sean".

It's okay, but it's not over yet, hopefully, it will only get better

Best bl ever.

I could write a novel about how good this show is.
This show broke my heart so bad that everytime not me is mentioned i need to look away or try not to cry and everytime i try not to cry i fail.
This show is just perfect. So well written.
I would literally sell my family for a season 2...
This is the best show every created.
Also the cast omg😭 first,mond,gun,off😭 i would do anything for another show with those 4, this is like one of the worst reviews ever but good lord i love the characters so much they all acted so well.
This show made me feel so safe and happy, i would do anything to watch this for the first time.

NOT ME IS A MUST WATCH!!!!

I remember seeing this show on hitv and just randomly decided to watch it. This was also when I was kind of still in my bl newbie phase. I ended up dropping anything I had to do and binged watched it in less than 48 hours and even though I was very exhausted by the end and really sad of finishing the show IT WAS AN AMAZING WATCH!!! Almost everything about this bl makes it such an enjoyable watch. Good acting, interesting story, and nice OST music. My only ick is how quickly yok aka first character just so easily forgave Dan aka Gawin's character it was just a tab bit annoying, but I still love this show! I also had a s**t ton of ghost ships and I'm sad knowing the fact that some of them never became a real thing. It was really fun trying to figure out who was the one who put Black's character in a coma (even though that person was my main guess). But I did have to rewatch this show cause i forgot sum things senice I binged it so defenly if you're going to watch this show don't do what i did. ANYWAYS I RECOMMEND NOT ME TO EVERYONE :))

Music saved this series

I was hesitant to watch this because I am not a Gun fan. I know he is popular but, for me, he only has one face and that is a blank stare. He did not win me over.

On the other hand, the rest of the cast was great. I was pleasantly surprised at how good Off is in this series. Plus, First kept me hanging in there every episode. His emotional acting in the hospital was unbelievable. I love him.

The story was very confusing at times and I didn’t know what they were doing and why. But it was still exciting to watch.

The music was outstanding. GMMtv production is always great with the best quality video, locations, and music.

I won’t rewatch this but it still gets a 7.

"NOT ME" A SERIES THAT LEFT A MARK

As we are about to enter 2026, I decided to bring to light more reviews of series I’ve watched over the past five years. And of course, Not Me is one of those series that left a powerful mark on the industry. Anyone who says otherwise is either lying or simply hasn’t watched it.
Because Not Me is not just a BL series, it is much more than that. Beyond being one of GMMTV’s strongest productions, it brings complex and deeply relevant themes to the forefront. It doesn’t focus solely on romantic relationships. Instead, it presents a fight for justice, a fight against corruption, a fight for LGBTQ+ rights, deep family bonds, and a dangerous, transformative love.
All of this is woven into a Boys’ Love series led by the well-known actors Off and Gun in the main roles, alongside an exceptional supporting cast. Whether we’re talking about First, Mond, Fluke, Papang, Sing Harit, Film, Lookjun, Filmshy, Pae, or Bosszo, every single one of them delivered an incredible performance. It is one of the few series where I can honestly say the cast was perfectly chosen.
From the very first episode, Not Me pleasantly surprised me. It’s the kind of series that pulls you in before you even realize it. The story begins with a difficult and controversial choice: two parents decide to raise their twin sons separately a decision that breaks a natural bond, yet opens the door to a profound story about identity, loyalty, and courage.
White, raised under the strict control of his politician father, is disciplined and reserved. Black, on the other hand, grew up free, rebellious, and deeply involved in the fight against corruption. Black is strong-willed, convinced he can change the world alongside his friends, and willing to take any risk for a fairer society. Still, White remains his weakness, the brother he would do anything for, even risk his own life.
Despite their differences, the twins are bound by an unconditional and sincere brotherly love. They are willing to sacrifice everything for each other, even though they didn’t grow up together. White is not weak, he is a complex character who takes real risks to uncover the truth behind Black’s assault. In Black’s absence, White assumes his identity and steps into a dangerous world dominated by injustice and social struggle.
If you’ve ever felt that characters in other dramas fail to tell a convincing story, that is not the case with Not Me. Every character here has a motivation, a trauma, or a mission that contributes meaningfully to the narrative.
Sean, perhaps the quietest yet most intense of them all, is deeply marked by his father’s death — a man who worked for the powerful and corrupt Tawi. He struggles with anger, revenge, and the need for justice.
Yok lives with a disabled mother who cannot find work because of a corrupt and indifferent system. His story stands as one of the most honest social critiques in the series.
Gram may not carry a personal trauma, but he understands the importance of equality and justice. He is the voice of reason and social conscience.
Gumpa, a former political activist, acts as the group’s mentor. He brings them together, guides them, and gives them direction. Despite his age, he remains active and deeply committed to change.
Dan, a police officer and apparent idealist, faces an internal conflict between his professional oath and his loyalty to the group. Under pressure from the system, he ultimately betrays them — a choice that both humanizes and condemns him.
Tod is an ambiguous yet crucial character. A childhood friend of White and Black, he may have started with good intentions but was corrupted by the system. His relationship with Black is deeply emotional, making his betrayal even more painful.
Tawi, the authoritarian and corrupt figure, stands as the series’ main antagonist — a symbol of a broken society.
Unlike many BL series where female characters are often decorative or built on predictable tropes, Not Me offers a much stronger and more realistic representation of women through Eugene, Namo, and Nuch. Each of them plays an essential role, proving that the women in this story are not background figures, but fully realized characters who strengthen the narrative and the world of Not Me.
One of the series’ greatest strengths is the love story between White and Sean. It is not built on clichés, but develops gradually through suspicion, fear, painful truths, and moments of vulnerability. Sean is hardened and emotionally guarded, carrying a heavy past. White comes from a world of rules but finds freedom in Sean’s presence. Their relationship grows naturally, sincerely, and emotionally. The forest kiss remains one of the most intense moments of the series — not just romantic, but deeply human.
Gun Atthaphan is undoubtedly the pillar of this series. His dual performance as White and Black is remarkably subtle. He created two completely different brothers, not just through appearance or attitude, but through the smallest gestures, tones, and expressions. It’s a performance that transcends the BL genre and raises the acting standard within the industry.
Off Jumpol, as Sean, delivers one of his strongest performances to date. Sean is quiet, hardened, with a simmering anger that doesn’t need dramatic lines to be felt. Every hesitation, look, and movement conveys pain and loyalty. His relationship with White humanizes him and reveals vulnerability a balance Off portrays with maturity and authenticity.
Not Me is deeply rooted in Thailand’s social and political realities, reflecting recent movements for democracy and equality. Episode 7 perfectly captures this commitment, featuring a protest scene inspired by real-life demonstrations for marriage equality and LGBTQ+ rights. The moment when White and Sean march beneath a massive rainbow flag is a powerful symbol: love, dignity, and courage cannot be silenced.
Looking back, Not Me is not just a series with a gripping plot or a piece of entertainment. It is a voice. A voice that dares to speak about inequality, corruption, justice, love, and identity. It transforms the story of two separated brothers into a metaphor for our inner and social divisions and our attempts to heal them.
The ending is a happy one(book has a different ending), marking the triumph of good over evil. Everyone dear survives and finds safety. Yet for me, there remains a deep emptiness caused by Black’s absence. Until the very end, Black protected his brother and the group unconditionally, and although he was forced to disappear, he left behind hope and unwavering trust in White’s strength to continue the fight

What remains after the final episode?

The image of a generation unafraid to fight. The unbreakable bond between brothers. The love between White and Sean, built step by step. And the courage to say things that are usually left unspoken.
Not Me is proof that stories that truly matter are the ones that dare to go further.
To challenge.
To move.

My chaotic jumble of thoughts on “Not Me”

This drama hooked me from minute one and what can I say? I loved it.

After his estranged twin brother Black is badly hurt in a fight, White impersonates him to seek revenge and is thereupon thrust into a life that is very different from his own. By joining Black’s gang in their fight for freedom, human rights and equality, White is imminently pushed outside his comfort zone and begins to question the life he led before.

The plot of “Not Me” was beautifully executed and the suspense kept me glued to the screen.
Sean and White’s relationship was very sweet and I liked the way everything was resolved in the end. There wasn’t too much drama. Black’s friends Gram and Yok had their own little stories to tell as well, which proves how carefully the characters were crafted and thought through. Everyone was given an adequate amount of screen time.
For me personally, Black and White’s relationship was one of the most heartwarming. I would have loved to see more of their story, especially on Black’s side. Even though they were torn apart when they were children, their connection still prevailed, leading them back together eventually.
Speaking of which, one thing that completely blew me off my feet was Gun‘s acting, considering that he impersonated both Black and White. He acted out the contrast between the two brothers with lots of care, highlighting their differences as well as their similarities.

But not only Gun, the entire cast and crew did an amazing job at bringing the show to life.
The cinematography, acting and directing was on spot. I really liked the soundtrack as well. I can’t count how many times I shazammed the background tracks.

One of the messages I got out of this drama was how important it is to raise your voice against inequality, in whatever form it may appear. It might seem as though you’re alone in the fight, but once you are courageous enough to act, it will prove how many people are willing to fight along with you.
All it takes is for someone to take the first step, and the difficulties and risks that come along with that are clearly depicted as the characters in this story push forward.
Topics like this are still relevant and undeniably present in todays society, making the drama all the more valuable and important.

OMG! "Not Me" is hands-down the coolest series I've ever watched!
It's not just a gay series; it tackles so many relevant issues like politics, corruption, and LGBTQ+ justice, making it seriously awesome! The acting is phenomenal – each character is so captivating, and the natural look (minimal makeup and filters) really enhances the story's impact. The cinematography is also incredible; every scene is beautifully shot. I'll never get tired of rewatching it because there are so many details to catch, and the overall story is just that good. I hope gmmtv makes cool series like this again ⭐

Punk rock poetry in a boys' love dream.

Motorcycles, street art, social justice, rooftops, parkour, strong women, LGBTQ+ pride, and boys’ love…what more could you ask for? All my favorite things aside XD, this show is exceptionally well made in many ways. Great writing, engaging story, beautifully filmed, nuanced acting. So fulfilling, and I'm not even talking about the soy milk :D

I wasn't sure what I was expecting with this show, but it definitely wasn't to find a masterpiece of queer cinema. Most of the other BLs I've watched, even though highly recommended, are not really about queer issues. Not Me is a queer punk rock revolution, celebrating equality and fighting for social justice. Like in the rooftop scene about fear and bravery, Anucha Boonyawatana teaches us how to be brave enough to speak out, and that your voice matters.

Visually, this series is like poetry. The close-ups are raw and realistic—you can feel the detail and subtleties in the actors’ skin. The scenes are allowed to play out naturally—this was the first drama where I felt the arc leading to the first kiss was well built. The flag march, simply holding hands, then sharing secrets in White's room, then the rooftop. In that rooftop kiss, they put out the sun between their lips…and hug—it’s so simple, that new love embrace that everyone has felt, but no director has managed to capture quite so authentically.

The chemistry between the actors playing Sean and White feels unbelievably real. The love scene left me in tears. The sweetness and passion between them is so moving. Seeing the two lovers model communication and respect for each other was truly special. The ear tug, the button, the love of detail and honesty is what makes this story so memorable.

And the turning point, when Sean meets Black for the first time left me speechless. Not realizing they are twins, Sean in a way must feel he is with an abusive partner that seems to switch personalities. Black/White are like two sides of the same person battling themselves, and it's the person closest to them that ends up getting hurt. Although this last interpretation is a deeply personal one, it brings up trauma in a cathartic way.

To me, one of the most important questions the director raises in this work is whether or not a person is capable of change. "Someone who always goes with the flow cannot go against the current." Sean says this, and White responds saying that people are capable of change, otherwise we'd still be living in caves. This, along with the idea that bravery cannot exist without fear, are powerful tools for self-acceptance and growth.

For me, this show was healing. This is one of those rare times when I want to hold a story close to my heart and also share it with everyone. Only a good work of art can do that—that’s what Not Me is. It's a poetic love letter to queer artists and activists overcoming trauma. Their happy ending is what this community needs.
