The movie is a diverting enough time for some action fun. It does have a message of team work makes the dream work otherwise you are a monster dooming humanity alongside the bloodthirsty capitalistic oligarchs using your bodies and soul for sport. It's on the nose but sadly much needed in today's world where people have ceded critical thinking to hallucinating chat bots. Was this review helpful to you?
The ending was not felt like a movie ending , hoping to see more . Also at some point the backstories were kind of not very emotional.

Disappointment
I was really hype because of the story , i am very being fan of the manhwa . i was really excited and thats why i watched the sole episode of omniscient reader point of view. i wish i never have watched it . they butchered the story line and they missed everything the manhwa was live up to. where is the Constellation monolog? do they even tried to make a good movie? this is by far the worst adaption and worst flow of dialogue .. jongshuk died in battle? fire dragon ? come on man.. it was the 3rd regression of him and there was so much story if they could have adapted it correctly panel by panel it would have broke the internet unfornate a miss opportunity. They didnt event show main character real power the Omniscient reader LMAO.. I pray to god they suffer whose pityful idea was itWas this review helpful to you?
Not true to the Original Story
There are definitely aspects of this movie that hold true to the original webtoon, however as you get further into the movie you can see where it starts to drift away or reduce parts of the original webtoon.I actually believe this would have been more liked if the story was made into a kdrama instead of a kmovie. The original story is so complicated and detailed that the drag of a long kdrama would have given some justice than the fast pace of the movie in my opinion.
What really bothers me though is the CGI in this film. You can tell where they put the most effort and practically gave up with the other designs.
If you are going to watch this movie, watch without thinking about the webtoon or just read the webtoon because it is 100% more worth your time.

More like ways to ruin a masterpiece
I was lowkey excited at first when the announcement came out but when they first announced the cast i knew it was goin to be a disaster, almost all of the main cast doesn't fit the original character and a LOT of the parts of the story got change, not just it being shorter, they also added lots of unnecessary changes that effects the story like sword to guns?! , bihyung's appearance?, and why does jihye looks old like she's supposed to be 17 and wields a sword not a gun, i mean her constellation is supposed to be a HISTORICAL figure who literally wields a SWORD ,and the title? Bro kim dokja aint a prophet, with what the title is the mc should've been anna croft lmao, so to all the people who doesn't read the manhwa nor the novel who says that the hate is over or unfair and says that its cuz the movies too short to have all of the details , just be silent, i mean if the movie is too short to hv all of the detail then why do they decide to compress all of the information into a 3 hour movie instead making it into a series? And its clear that they didn't put much effort into it and is probably just hoping to ride on to the fame of the actors they casted without considering the fan of the original work , kim dokja would have exploded from madness if he knew that this thing existed. Was this review helpful to you?
Worth watching
I like to read and to watch again and again this omniscient reader even though that they change it but it’s understandable since they put in first chapter about the prophecy so i don’t think there’s a problem with that, i hope they'll continue to make it more like this .. they make it my dream come true about the manga and in reality 🥰 thank you for the cast and the director who made itWas this review helpful to you?
A very thrilling movie
I don't understand why everyone sees this so negative this is a really good action movie. The story isn't the deepest (its an action movie...) but enjoyable for the duration of the film. It is something new and the plot is also very thrilling.
It's good that this is just a film, a drama would have dragged things out.
The SGI is high quality. The acting is also amazing (I mean the Cast!?!).
I think it has everything required for a good action movie!
I'd really recommend to watch it...

mixed feelings ...
I get why everyone hates this movie , they have one thing in common which is having read the webtoon .I get it , it's not as good as the webtoon .
the webtoon is way better .
before watching and after they announced the cast I have never thought ahn hyo seop was going to be a good kim dokja but I was wrong he fits the role very well along with Nana , seung ho and soo bin .
what I didn't like was jisoo as jihye and the drastic change they made to her charater, I mean a sniper instead of a sword?!!!! the ones who have read the webtoon will know it's a huge change the charater as in the webtoon she had physical strength and agility and very well close combat skills , that didn't work for me .
lee jung hyuk what can I say , really disappointed , the character we were all wating to see , lee minho is not a bad jung hyuk but he was expressionless the whole movie , in the webtoon jung hyuk didn't show much emotion either but in some occasion she did show emotion , i dont know but it didn't work for me.
the bridge scene which i was really waiting for , CGI was good at one moment and bad at the other .
overall I really appreciate the hardwork and effort they put in the movie and considering the limitation they had as webtoon has a lot of scenes that are hard to bring them to life the exact way but that doesn't help my disappointment 😕
maybe if you haven't read the webtoon you will this movie interesting .

the best part was ahn hyo seop's face ?
I think it's a good movie to watch if you've never read the novel or webtoon, but I feel like the further the movie went along, the more it deviated from what I liked about the novel,,,I think the cast they chose was good, but at some points the cgi was just horrible 😭 I can't blame them for that though, since there's only so much that can be edited, and only so much you can do with something so unrealistic.
In the earlier scenes, they really stuck to the script, but I started not liking were it was going as soon as dokja killed the monster in the subway instead of myeong oh. It also wasn't a demon monster unless I missed something. I'm not sure how they're gunna make Myeong oh into a demon now, if they do, but I don't think I'd like the change more than the original. I'm also pretty sure Dokja didn't have any flashbacks that early on?? But I could be wrong.
THEY ALSO SKIPPED A WHOLE STORYLINE??? There was no mention of going into movies through posters AT ALL... I understand for maybe copyright reasons, but they switched how junghyeok 'dies,' to the dragon dokja kills AFTER THE WAR ARC STARTS??? I don't mind that they went straight to the dragon killing, but skipping a whole arc that took up MULTIPLE CHAPTERS is sooo 😭 maybe it'll be in the next movie, but then that means they jumbled up the storyline, and that doesn't sit with me good,,, And if they don't go through it in the next movie, then they're just stupid idk.
The other thing I didn't like about the movie is that they specified, and sorta kinda showed that if junghyeok dies, then the whole world perishes while he regresses to a new world. THEY STATE MULTIPLE TIMES IN THE WEBTOON/NOVEL THAT THEY DON'T KNOW WHAT'LL HAPPEN IF HE DIES??? And maybe I'm at fault for misinterpreting since I haven't read the whole novel or webtoon, but I feel like Dokja just knowing what happens to the world when Junghyeok dies off the rip, and them showing the world ending, goes too much against the begining of the webtoon 😭 I'M ALSO ALMOST 100% SURE JUNGHYEOK WAS NEVER FIGHTING THE DRAGON WITH DOKJA TOO LIKE???
Anyways, for anyone who's read past chapter 55 in the webtoon, you probably won't like the movie. I thought it was good besides the changes, but I'm still glad I watched it. It was fun to watch if you didn't think about how much they changed from the novel. I ALSO LOVE AHN HYO SEOP'S ACTING 😱

Cast = stars. Story = rushed.
I haven't read the book or comics or whatever this is from. I'm not an upset Jisoo stan or purest. I enjoyed the movie for what it was. A solid B+.I feel like it could've been a mini series. I was only invested in the characters because they are famous actors. I enjoyed the idea of the story, just wish it was told better and given more space to grow. I'm definitely going to watch again because movies and shows aren't good right now. If this came out last year it'd be a low B to a C+.
Great acting as you'd expect from this type of A list cast. Highly recommend if you are a fan of fantasy type movies.

"Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy" is a must-watch
"Omniscient Reader: The Prophecy" explodes onto the screen with a thrilling mix of mind-bending storytelling and emotional weight, adapted brilliantly from the beloved webnovel. Set in a post-apocalyptic world where reality mirrors a web novel, the story follows Dokja—an ordinary reader—who suddenly becomes the sole person who knows the full plot of the unfolding world-destroying scenario. The film balances high-stakes action and deep character development. Each scene keeps you at the edge of your seat, while layered themes of survival, sacrifice, and the blurred line between fiction and fate pull you in further. The visuals are stunning, the pacing is tight, and the writing does justice to the source material.
Ahn Hyo‑seop anchors the story as the emotionally conflicted reader-prophet with subtle strength.
Lee Min‑ho makes his much-anticipated cinematic return with a layered and commanding presence.
Chae Soo‑bin portrays Sang‑ah’s metamorphosis with grace and quiet power.
Shin Seung‑ho offers grounded sincerity as the group’s protector.
Nana embodies righteous defiance in Jung Hee‑won, making her warrior quietly unforgettable.
Kwon Eun‑seong touches the heart as the boy with hidden strength.
Park Ho‑san and Choi Young‑joon elevate the film’s tension through their commanding antagonistic roles.
As for Jisoo, she absolutely shines in her role, bringing fierce intensity and subtle emotional nuance to her character. She’s not just captivating—she owns every frame she’s in. Jisoo’s performance adds a grounded humanity amidst all the chaos, and her ability to convey strength and vulnerability simultaneously is nothing short of phenomenal. It's clear she’s evolving into a top-tier actress, and this role cements her as a powerful presence in both K-drama and film.

Atrocious in all aspects
Honestly speaking, giving this a rating of 1 sounds like a disrespect. Wish we all could give it a negative rating but we sadly can't. I could conjure up countless words just to express how atrocious and abysmal this movie is in terms of it's execution, overall narrative and how much it deviates from source material. But fellow novel fans have written it as well. Was this review helpful to you?
