Better read the novel, better life
At this point, everyone has already said everything. I'm gonna say the director shouldn't have messed with the original novel. Original storyline was far more better than the movie. Changing that only made the novel fans angry. The fans were hopeful that their favourite novel was getting an adaption. I was excited too. To see all my fav actors in my fav novel. But it all went in vain. They acted as if it was their first time acting. Why did they have to acte like that? Does this look like a zombie apocalypes??? when i heard there was a live action of ORV, i was definitely interested. i had high hopes for it since ORV the novel and the adapted manhwa were both beautiful and i loved them both. However, after learning more about this live action, to say i'm disappointed is a huge understatement. What do you mean Dokja hated TWSA? it saved his life. What do you mean Yoo Sangah is a healer? she was put back in the misogynistic stereotypes she fought so hard against and that entirely ruins her character. What do you mean Dokjas favorite TWSA character was jung heewon? Jung heewon didnt even appear in the original TWSA. Yoo joonghyuk, who plays an incredibly major role in ORV, has been reduced to a more supporting character in this trash live action. dont watch it, i would never recommend it and for it to even share a name with ORV is practically a disgrace to the original omniscient readers viewpoint. if you're interested in the story, i'd highly suggest reading the light novel online, purchasing it in stores, or reading the manhwa adaption on Webtoon or something of the like. either way, it's far better than this terrible live action.Was this review helpful to you?

Trash belongs to trash can
As a fan of ORV novel I'm greatly disappointed. Absolute trash. Actors are acting like robots. The protagonists seems pathetic. Why are they fighting monsters with a pathetic stick?Story is all over the place. The bullied kid was made the bully. Action scenes were a total disaster. The vfx??? Don't wanna talk about it. Arrogant
The audacity of the director to ask why the writer is pwaised but not him. You ruined this perfect making it a shitshow. This story jas no depth in it. Everyone is the story is selfish and ruthless killer. It was not properly stated how this story started and how will the protagonist save the world. What a pathetic protagonist!! The actors acting was trash. Even a kid can act better. This movie was meant to sponsor the actors through the name of the most popular novel. First of all, you have to know that what is being replaced is not one or two things, but everything.1. The weapon is changed with unreasonaable reason, they didnt know gun doesnt work on the monster? Please they shown JIHYE with GUN, JIHYE is YJH student, and YJH is a REGRESOR HE IS SUPPOSED TO KNOW!!!
2. Bihyung looked like a damn labubu in the worst way possible, he looks ugly, the dokkaebi is bad looking making my stomach churn.
3. Sangah being basic healer like thats not Seolhwa job. Sangah literally a fighter, a killer, she kills the enemy with the strings they said she used them to heal? What bs.
4. Dokja being a Hero. His ass is not a Hero for the world, his reason is to see the epilog of twsa, the reason he is still living.
5. Dokjas dad is not abusve. What is the point of changing that? Why would they change that?
6. Dokja does not hate his mom. Why change this too? He is the MC yet his character getting chopped so much.
7. Apparently Heewon is the protagonist of twsa. Come on now, Heewon doesnt exist on twsa why would she be the protagonist? What is YJH then?
8. Dokja hates twsa. This is so bad, twsa the reason he is still alive....why would he hates the novel he has read for Ten years...
9. Tl123(?) the author, Sooyoung(?) tells kdj to write the novel himself. She write the novel for kdj why would she say that?
10. The cgi is shit, theater kids could make better movie that this director.
This is the worst adaptation ever.
Maybe because this is more like taking inspiration but scared of being told plagiarism so they went ahead with calling it adaptation.

not worth the watch even as a standalone movie.
From the beginning we knew that they would screw up the adaptation and won't be faithful to the original novel. But they didn't even try to make it look or sound good.The script? Terrible.
The graphics? Cheap.
The plot/story? It's all over the place.
The acting? Awkward.
Even as a standalone movie they didn't bother to even try to explain the story's universe/setting. It will be so damn confusing to anyone who watches it.
If you wanted a cool action movie, atleast do it properly. This is just a poorly executed nonsense. Wouldn't recommend at all. If you are actually interested maybe give the original novel a try cause this story is one of the best fiction ever.

hot garbage
this isn't orv. it doesn't follow the novel, it doesn't follow the manhwa. it feels like I've read 50 shades of grey and some random girl made a vampire fanfiction of it and brougt it to the cinema with the same name and characters. but historically speaking this has not happened: 50 shades of grey got its own film and twilight despite being its insipration never used the same names of those characters, so why must this have to happen with orv? i say webtoon loves the sound of money but they are not read to lose exactly twice the revenue with the shit in going to unload with this live action the fans never in heaven asked. we novel readers know the importnce of the story being read through the phone, the value and singulairty of the characters and stories told, the themes and moral of the story, the director and actors are simply demonstrating the exact opposite. I'm really disappointed that this will be part of the legacy of this fandom but in the end I hope this film gets trashed for good.Was this review helpful to you?

You call this orv live action? What a joke. If you can't even adapt a manhwa/novel properly maybe just don't adapt at all. And the fact that the director didn't even read it and straight up adapted sounds like they're making making fun of us reader or something. READ THE NOVEL OR MANHWA INSTEAD YKK
We already know that this movie will not even follow a single thing from the novel nor the manhwa and we are right about that. This is an entirely different story than what ORV is. "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint" it's already in the title a Reader's Viewpoint but then why would they changed it into a PROPHET???!And then making this a Movie instead of a Series. Orv has too many chapters, so many important parts an they will summarized it? This la is not a good recommendation. K-drama fans will probably watch this and entirely miss a good story. ORV is not just a story it's KIM DOKJA. WE THE READERS SUFFERED WITH KIM DOKJA AND THEN THIS SH1T LA WE GOT IS HERE. WE TRULY ARE KIM DOKJA'S FRAGMENTS. IYKYK

I’m SCREAMING. WTF is this?! It'd like the director read half the source material, said “nah,” and decided to yeet the soul of sNs masterpiece into the void. They changed SO MUCH, and I’m not okay! Kim Dokja deserves better, and this mess is sitting at the same cursed table as the Attack on Titan and Dragon Ball Evolution LA!! Let’s talk about how they fumbled this bag and why it’s giving the same vibes as those other disasters.First off, WHY THE HELL are they giving everyone GUNS?! Like, are you kidding me? They’re out here handing Hee Won daggers like she’s in an Avengers flick and giving Lee Hyeon-seong some high-tech gauntlet nonsense. Never direct again bro because what the hell is this? First it was the labubu bihyoung, then the guns, then now Kim Dokja’s entire character, trauma, motivations, what kept him ALIVE is ruined. There was much potential to make a good live action, but you decided to make this instead. A disappointment, soulless, Ai generated like script that you shove into our faces and think we’d like? The only people who give 10 stars are bots, kdrama fans and blinks. No sensible person who has read one chapter of orv would like this. Honestly I’m so glad that this is flopping. But thanks for ruining the story Kim Dokja loved, that WE loved. I hope you flop so badly that you don’t produce another trashy movie with ORV’s name on it.
