Changed EVERYTHING in the og novel.

Trash. Don't even bother watching this adapted version, and instead just read the original novel or webtoon. Its leagues better than what this movie is. It's insulting to the og readers seeing all the weird and uneeded changes the director made in this movie and it completely feels like a plagiarized version of ORV instead of an actual adaptation. They could've listened to the complaints and criticism online and make changes that were desperately needed but noooo, they insisted on making Sangah a healer, KDJ hating twsa (the novel that LITERALLY saved his life), YJH being a side character (which is so STUPID??), heewon being the mc instead which, again, she wasnt even an important character in the og, AND kdj is a bully in the movie??? That's honestly crazy disrespectful to his character and backstory.

Final review: Trash. They could've made this a standalone movie and it would've done well, but the fact is based off of ORV? It deserves the hate. And the only people that would watch and enjoy this are the fans of the actors... Don't watch.

Absolute Disappointment

The live action doesn't even match the novel. The writer put much effort writing the story only for the live action to be a joke. What is this? Out of budget show?

Bihyung even look like a freaking labubu, what was that for? Is it so hard to follow the original story? Bihyung is a dokkaebi for god sake also a gun? So you telling me getting atleast a fake sword is hard now too? Wow. Rather saying "adaptation" It's more suitable to be "inspiration" the live action is a joke.

Yoo Sangah as a healer? What is this? I thought this is supposed to be Omniscient Reader Viewpoint not Director Viewpoint. Ridiculous, live action. Other than that, Yoo Joonghyuk look like a hongdae guy on his way to ask Kim Dokja number. Yoo Joonghyuk design were way more better than that, he's wearing a hight level clothes from the novel unlike the live action.

Honestly, the live action were completely different from the novel. I would not recommend this live action. The live action were nothing but a disappointment, changing the story won't make it cool because the original story were already peak. This live action is a total downgrade. Ain't Omniscient Reader Viewpoint anymore, It's Director Viewpoint no Hell Viewpoint itself.

A complete disgrace. Dishonor to whoever decided this was a good idea

I still can’t believe or more like, it’s hard to understand how someone can ruin a masterpiece. One, Kim Dokja is NOT a prophet. He’s a READER. He knows what’s going to happen because he is a READER!! Even his name means “Reader” or “only child” but everything thinks it’s always the latter to which is true because he loves to READ.

The director have at the reach of a simple click the webnovel, the manhwa, sNs-nim to do a great live action yet they decided to yeet everything and do their own thing? To which btw it’s a disgrace, garbage, it’s like dragon ball evolution!

This is far from an adaptation. They ripped off almost everything to add nonsense. They eliminated characters developed!! Kim Dokja hating the story tls123 wrote for him? Really? That didn’t happen. NEVER.

Kim Dokja a bully? Really?! He was the one being bullied!! The character KDJ had admired for YEARS is Yoo Jonghyuk! That’s who he wanted to be, the name he had repeated for years like a mantra to get strength and to get through all the bad things that happened in his life.

And why everything looks so cheap?! The wigs? Their clothes? I can’t believe how a company couldn’t do better. Did they spent all their budget casting super famous people INSTEAD of using it for a better wig? They couldn’t even get YJH’s hair right.

And what’s with the guns?! In ORV NO ONE USES THEM. It was hard to read the first chapters for them? If you’re doing an adaptation I believe idk that you should take some time to READ the material, to talk with the authors and do a better job. But the kimchi head of the director probably doesn’t know how to read…

Instead of watching this is better to read the webnovel, manhwa and hope that the anime would do the Justice orv deserve.

Orv la doesn’t exist. This was just a bad dream… to bad I can’t give 0 to this crap

Not the actors failt though. I juat wish they stick with the original.

Nice face, but the story line is very unreasonable

It's a good movie, really. It's really good, but the execution is so lacking and doesn't make much sense.
You will really hate Ahn Hyo Seop here and will frown when you see Jisoo.
If we look back, All Of Us Are Dead is a masterpiece, but when we look at the main characters in All Of Us Are Dead, we will be annoyed in the first episode with their slow and naive characters. That's Ahn Hyo Seop here. He is the one who knows the whole story, yet he moves very stupidly and slowly. I would say Ahn Hyo Seop here, since Dokja is a character who is alert and can read the situation.
Here we can get the greatness of Nana and Lee Minho, surprisingly. I think Lee Minho is the only character who can adapt to his acting.
I would say the most bizarre and unreasonable character is Jisoo. Because he's a schoolboy, he adapts too quickly to situations. I even noticed that without any explanation of his skills or how to use them.

I won't lie if the movie is good, but it doesn't deserve a score higher than 5. Because instead of being cool, all the characters are very burdensome except for Nana and Lee Minho. Rather than a very lovable character, Ahn Hyo Seop here is a character worth hating. Especially after he brought Lee Minho to life in a very unreasonable way.

Why am i here?

From the casting i knew that they were gonna make us so disappointed. They can't even make yjh hair look good bro. He not looking like the handsome bish like they described in the manhwa or novel. Those hairstylists had one job even the cosplayers has done it perfectly. And the fact that they spend much more money to the casting more than the movie hurts. I don't care if the castings awful i just want the real adaptation of orv. The director just slapped the name and the title orv into the drama nothing more.

What is this movie?!???? Its definitely not Orv

This movie is just disappointing and a disgrace to the author who put a lot of work in their novel like how can you change everything about ORV and call it ORV like no??!, changing the important things that makes it ORV and call it a day no?? ORV has such a good story that why we love this story they are just using the characters names and making it their own thats not ORV if you r going to watch this movie just don't. just read the novel instead or the manhwa but this is unacceptable.

THIS ADAPTATION SHOULDN'T EXIST

You didn’t adapt ORV. You just used its name.

From the moment they announced the cast, it was already giving POPULARITY over accuracy. Jisoo as Lee Jihye? Lee Minho as Junghyook? Be serious. Did they even read the novel? Jihye is one of the most uniquely written characters in ORV—“We added the gun because Lee Jihye js not interesting enough” my ass. She didn’t need the gun, Jisoo does. She had her sword because she’s literally the incarnation of the Martial General. They didn’t give her a gun because of plot, they did it because Jisoo couldn’t handle the stunts. Don’t reduce a whole character just because your idol can’t swing two swords.

And Bihyung. My fluffy brown-clothed dokkaebi 🥺. They turned him into a Labubu-looking creature. You really took the most beloved chaos creature in ORV and made him unrecognizable. I actually cried when I saw him. That was NOT my lovable bihyung.

But the worst part? This. The plot. The core of ORV is how much Dokja LOVED the novel. He lived, suffered, and D!ED because of that story. And the author? They wrote it for HIM! “This novel is just for that one reader.” That line DEFINES the whole thing. TLS123/Han Sooyoung shaped the plot to fit what Dokja needed—she literally created entire characters for him (Hayoung??). So to have her say “write it yourself”?? That’s not just OOC. That’s erasure. That's disrespect.

This isn’t a reinterpretation. It’s not a creative twist. It’s straight-up bowdlerization. A shallow, fame-chasing rewrite of something deeply personal to us, fragments. YOU CANNOT BE CALLED A FRAGMENT IF YOU WATCH THE LA. Don’t watch it.

Why watch the movie when I've read the better version

This story was for one reader "KIM DOKJA". The story continied for him, existed solely for him. This story was his salvation. You mfs changed the whole plot. Did you really think only the action scenes will make us satisfied. Do you even understand the depth of this story. Do you even know why the story existed? How will you guys save the world with such a messy plot. I hope this apocalype really fall upon you. So that you could understand why you should never mess with the original. Aside from that, vfx was bad, action scenes became a comedy, music was so so,acting was huh what should I say....go to hell actors...there are thousands of nameless actor who can act better then you but can't get the opportunity just because of your carelessness

I wish I could smash the director's head with his chair

Did they even think of the author who worked his ass off for years to create this masterpiece. This is a total disrespects towards the author. He doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. You guys changed the core of the story now you ask why is the director the only one being hated not the author? Damn you're serious?? People should drop this altogether cause tkis was a unjustified adaption. Why use his work when you don't respect his work? Aside from the story the bad cgi,the freaking horrible acting, effortless action scene makes me wonder "WHERE DID THIS 30 BILLION KRW GO?" Of course it's in their pockets...Bro at this rate the police should arrest you for fund embezzelement

A DISAPPOINTMENT IN KOREANS MANWHA'S AND NOVELS

Just like what this guys said that I found in one of the reviews "This movie has changed and disrespected the original source material to the point where it's completely unrecognizable, from the little details to the overall messages and symbolism that ORV tried to convey, everything had been completely butchered. As an adaptation, it fails in every aspect. As a movie, the cinematography is amateurish, the script sounds AI generated, the CGI is a joke, and some actors with major supporting roles are just completely sidelined for no particular reason; it's underwhelming, to say the least.

This isn't a matter of an "accurate adaptation" anymore. This is setting a precedence for future adaptations to completely mess up a beloved story by removing all the aspects that make it good in the first place. ORV isn't loved because it's a generic male power fantasy, it's loved because the story subverts this. By stripping away everything to adhere to the general audience's expectations, there won't be anything left to love. There is genuinely so many things wrong with this movie from the erasure of Korean history to even misogyny (which wouldn't be noticed if viewers don't know the original story).

ORV is a love letter for its readers, but this movie spat on it, tore it with a paper shredder, stomped on it repeatedly, burned it, and threw the ashes into the ocean."

Honestly it would also be a DISAPPOINTMENT to us reader of manwha's and novels, what even is the whole point of making the la - live adaptation, on this manwha. If their gonna change the whole purpose or plot of the story they should've just changed the title too. SOME OF US WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS LA AND WAS HOPING THIS WAS GONNA HIT IN ONE OF THE AWARDS, ALL OF US DO. BUT YOU GUYS HAVE CREATED A GARBAGE INSTEAD OF A MASTERPIECE. ITS JUST DISRESPECTFUL TO US READER'S.

Kim dokja's love for twof would compete with this crap

I don't want to waste my time on it much so im gonna cut it short. Don't know who write this incredibly wrong scenario but dude, hell no. Dont ever try again. Like...you didn't even try? Its hella different than the novel, even our man dokja is different. He wouldn't like this version of himself. Im afraid he would even start a campaing to cancel this horrendous thing. Why call it live action when there is nothing alike with the original? Bro, i don't know what do we have to like or enjoy about it. Maybe the fact that the names didn't change...i appreciate that, beaches. I don't want this motherfather thing mingy associate with orv. Have some respect to the novel, characther, their personality, important traits and more importantly the readers. Nobody wanted this thing but almost everbody hating it. All of the consellations are dissapointed. I hope and pray with my all being for star stream to delete this weirdo movie's existence as if it never happened. Instead of watching, go read the masterpiece movie. And for our already f-up mental health, don't mention it to readers. Thank you. My english is nowhere near good so have some mercy. Thanks again.
