This not orv
You call this orv live action? What a joke. If you can't even adapt a manhwa/novel properly maybe just don't adapt at all. And the fact that the director didn't even read it and straight up adapted sounds like they're making making fun of us reader or something. And those kdrama only lovers will not even know about the real plot if the orv because of this "adapted" kdrama. Im so disappointed 🤦♀️Was this review helpful to you?
READ THE NOVEL OR MANHWA INSTEAD YKK
We already know that this movie will not even follow a single thing from the novel nor the manhwa and we are right about that. This is an entirely different story than what ORV is. "Omniscient Reader's Viewpoint" it's already in the title a Reader's Viewpoint but then why would they changed it into a PROPHET???!And then making this a Movie instead of a Series. Orv has too many chapters, so many important parts an they will summarized it? This la is not a good recommendation. K-drama fans will probably watch this and entirely miss a good story. ORV is not just a story it's KIM DOKJA. WE THE READERS SUFFERED WITH KIM DOKJA AND THEN THIS SH1T LA WE GOT IS HERE. WE TRULY ARE KIM DOKJA'S FRAGMENTS. IYKYK

Why am i here?
From the casting i knew that they were gonna make us so disappointed. They can't even make yjh hair look good bro. He not looking like the handsome bish like they described in the manhwa or novel. Those hairstylists had one job even the cosplayers has done it perfectly. And the fact that they spend much more money to the casting more than the movie hurts. I don't care if the castings awful i just want the real adaptation of orv. The director just slapped the name and the title orv into the drama nothing more. Was this review helpful to you?
I'm ORV fan
Bruh wdym Lee Jihye holding gun, Yoo Joonghyuk not grabbing Kim Dokja by the neck, Kim Dokja hating on WOS, Kim Dokja is not a reader, Kim Dokja hating on Yoo Joonghyuk, Kim Dokja writing the epilogue himself, Jung Heewon is the main character, no Biyoo, Yoo SangAh is a healer, Lee SooKyung relying on Kim Dokja, Kim Dokja is ordinary, Bihyung is labubu or Doraemon, Kim Dokja saving Kim Namwoon, no deus ex machina, Kim Dokja killing a kid back when he was bullied, no Broken Faith but a core instead ❓ 这部电影像是狗做出的一样,人不会这么做。T sẽ ở dưới gầm giường ông nào sửa nát nguyên tác ~MỗI đÊm~ 🤡 hãy tận hưởng đc ải chỉa suốt đời nhé broWas this review helpful to you?
Why watch the movie when I've read the better version
This story was for one reader "KIM DOKJA". The story continied for him, existed solely for him. This story was his salvation. You mfs changed the whole plot. Did you really think only the action scenes will make us satisfied. Do you even understand the depth of this story. Do you even know why the story existed? How will you guys save the world with such a messy plot. I hope this apocalype really fall upon you. So that you could understand why you should never mess with the original. Aside from that, vfx was bad, action scenes became a comedy, music was so so,acting was huh what should I say....go to hell actors...there are thousands of nameless actor who can act better then you but can't get the opportunity just because of your carelessnessWas this review helpful to you?
I wish I could smash the director's head with his chair
Did they even think of the author who worked his ass off for years to create this masterpiece. This is a total disrespects towards the author. He doesn't deserve this kind of treatment. You guys changed the core of the story now you ask why is the director the only one being hated not the author? Damn you're serious?? People should drop this altogether cause tkis was a unjustified adaption. Why use his work when you don't respect his work? Aside from the story the bad cgi,the freaking horrible acting, effortless action scene makes me wonder "WHERE DID THIS 30 BILLION KRW GO?" Of course it's in their pockets...Bro at this rate the police should arrest you for fund embezzelementWas this review helpful to you?

THIS ADAPTATION SHOULDN'T EXIST
You didn’t adapt ORV. You just used its name. From the moment they announced the cast, it was already giving POPULARITY over accuracy. Jisoo as Lee Jihye? Lee Minho as Junghyook? Be serious. Did they even read the novel? Jihye is one of the most uniquely written characters in ORV—“We added the gun because Lee Jihye js not interesting enough” my ass. She didn’t need the gun, Jisoo does. She had her sword because she’s literally the incarnation of the Martial General. They didn’t give her a gun because of plot, they did it because Jisoo couldn’t handle the stunts. Don’t reduce a whole character just because your idol can’t swing two swords.
And Bihyung. My fluffy brown-clothed dokkaebi 🥺. They turned him into a Labubu-looking creature. You really took the most beloved chaos creature in ORV and made him unrecognizable. I actually cried when I saw him. That was NOT my lovable bihyung.
But the worst part? This. The plot. The core of ORV is how much Dokja LOVED the novel. He lived, suffered, and D!ED because of that story. And the author? They wrote it for HIM! “This novel is just for that one reader.” That line DEFINES the whole thing. TLS123/Han Sooyoung shaped the plot to fit what Dokja needed—she literally created entire characters for him (Hayoung??). So to have her say “write it yourself”?? That’s not just OOC. That’s erasure. That's disrespect.
This isn’t a reinterpretation. It’s not a creative twist. It’s straight-up bowdlerization. A shallow, fame-chasing rewrite of something deeply personal to us, fragments. YOU CANNOT BE CALLED A FRAGMENT IF YOU WATCH THE LA. Don’t watch it.

It is so bad I wanna give you a 0. But that’s not possible, so i give you a 1.
Never direct again bro because what the hell is this? First it was the labubu bihyoung, then the guns, then now Kim Dokja’s entire character, trauma, motivations, what kept him ALIVE is ruined. There was much potential to make a good live action, but you decided to make this instead. A disappointment, soulless, Ai generated like script that you shove into our faces and think we’d like? The only people who give 10 stars are bots, kdrama fans and blinks. No sensible person who has read one chapter of orv would like this. Honestly I’m so glad that this is flopping. But thanks for ruining the story Kim Dokja loved, that WE loved. I hope you flop so badly that you don’t produce another trashy movie with ORV’s name on it. You’ve already ruined its reputation. Was this review helpful to you?

A DISAPPOINTMENT IN KOREANS MANWHA'S AND NOVELS
Just like what this guys said that I found in one of the reviews "This movie has changed and disrespected the original source material to the point where it's completely unrecognizable, from the little details to the overall messages and symbolism that ORV tried to convey, everything had been completely butchered. As an adaptation, it fails in every aspect. As a movie, the cinematography is amateurish, the script sounds AI generated, the CGI is a joke, and some actors with major supporting roles are just completely sidelined for no particular reason; it's underwhelming, to say the least. This isn't a matter of an "accurate adaptation" anymore. This is setting a precedence for future adaptations to completely mess up a beloved story by removing all the aspects that make it good in the first place. ORV isn't loved because it's a generic male power fantasy, it's loved because the story subverts this. By stripping away everything to adhere to the general audience's expectations, there won't be anything left to love. There is genuinely so many things wrong with this movie from the erasure of Korean history to even misogyny (which wouldn't be noticed if viewers don't know the original story).
ORV is a love letter for its readers, but this movie spat on it, tore it with a paper shredder, stomped on it repeatedly, burned it, and threw the ashes into the ocean."
Honestly it would also be a DISAPPOINTMENT to us reader of manwha's and novels, what even is the whole point of making the la - live adaptation, on this manwha. If their gonna change the whole purpose or plot of the story they should've just changed the title too. SOME OF US WAS LOOKING FORWARD TO THIS LA AND WAS HOPING THIS WAS GONNA HIT IN ONE OF THE AWARDS, ALL OF US DO. BUT YOU GUYS HAVE CREATED A GARBAGE INSTEAD OF A MASTERPIECE. ITS JUST DISRESPECTFUL TO US READER'S.

Kim dokja's love for twof would compete with this crap
I don't want to waste my time on it much so im gonna cut it short. Don't know who write this incredibly wrong scenario but dude, hell no. Dont ever try again. Like...you didn't even try? Its hella different than the novel, even our man dokja is different. He wouldn't like this version of himself. Im afraid he would even start a campaing to cancel this horrendous thing. Why call it live action when there is nothing alike with the original? Bro, i don't know what do we have to like or enjoy about it. Maybe the fact that the names didn't change...i appreciate that, beaches. I don't want this motherfather thing mingy associate with orv. Have some respect to the novel, characther, their personality, important traits and more importantly the readers. Nobody wanted this thing but almost everbody hating it. All of the consellations are dissapointed. I hope and pray with my all being for star stream to delete this weirdo movie's existence as if it never happened. Instead of watching, go read the masterpiece movie. And for our already f-up mental health, don't mention it to readers. Thank you. My english is nowhere near good so have some mercy. Thanks again. Was this review helpful to you?
A Hollow Adaptation That Forgot Its Own Soul
As someone who followed this story since 2020, this movie felt like a personal betrayal. It stripped the heart, the themes, and even the essence of what made the novel and webtoon unforgettable. Instead, we got a flashy mess that centers around a character who was never supposed to be in the spotlight. It's not even fanservice, it's pure ego-stroking. The director clearly didn’t care about the source material—only about selling tickets and slapping a famous name on the poster. You don’t adapt a masterpiece like this without respect. This wasn’t an adaptation. This was exploitation. Was this review helpful to you?
Ts suchs ass
Honestly, the actions weren't even needed in the first place, JUST WHOSE IDEAS WAS THIS? this feels like a slap in the face to fans (like me) who have spent years emotionally invested in the story. It’s like the people behind the adaptation read a Wikipedia summary of ORV and thought, “hell yea ts tuff, let’s throw some monsters in there and call it a day.” The soul of the original is gone. Don’t even get me started on the pacing, they butcher the story structure so badly that important arcs are erased???? It feels like they tried to Frankenstein the entire first few volumes into a watchable product and just hoped we wouldn’t notice. But we noticed cus wtf!???AND LMAO the CGI suchs, like actually, like PS2 cutscene levels of bad and in a story where the entire world is falling apart, that matters. It’s supposed to feel terrifying and mythic, but instead it’s just... cheesy? Idk, and emotionally? It’s dead inside. They ripped out the internal narration, the constellation dialogue, the deep moral dilemmas all the stuff that made ORV different, and they replaced it with generic hero tropes and forced drama. It reeks of trying to please the general public instead of respecting the source material or the fans who carried this story for years. In the end, it’s not just a bad adaptation it’s a complete misrepresentation. It doesn’t just “suck.” It’s a hollow, corporate husk of something that once had heart, and the worst part is they think slapping on a familiar title is enough to make us like it. It’s not. It’s infuriating. I FUCKING HATE THIS.Was this review helpful to you?
