This movie was meant to sponsor the actors
As i said in the title, the director wanted to sponsor the actors by attaching the name of the most popular korean novel. A 30 yrs old lady acting as a high schooler. Is this a joke?? Aside from that they added gun. Where in the world did the student find that gun. Haha this is ridiculous. The actor's acting was so terrible. Of course they don't care cuase they got their payments. They already got a lot fans who will come to see their movie afterall. First time in my life as a kdrama fan I'm hating these actors. They could've done better but they didn't. Did they even think of the novel fans who were optimistic about their acting???Was this review helpful to you?
A bad movie will have a bad review. Get used to it
dont waste your money on this movie. go pirate it or support the original author by reading his novel or webtoon. It deviates SO MUCH from the original material that I could argue that the director might have not been able to read books. This could have been an okay movie if they promoted it as being an entirely different movie from the original novel with different set of characters. But now I feel like I've been scammed. The only thing saving this movie is the publicity from the original series and kim jisoo. which is embarrassing to say the least. Was this review helpful to you?
hope yall cant make a second one
i genuinely don't think i know enough words in the english lexicon to explain how bad this movie is and how angry it made me to see such a good novel, a literal masterclass in writing trauma, character bonds and character growth, be turn into such a... i don't even know what this is, an attempt at a cashgrab? an "experimental take"?, they turned down the potential of one of the best shows that could be made into such a disrespectful movie. if i could rate this a 0, i would. Was this review helpful to you?
If butchering a story was an art, this would be the masterpiece.
I was completely disappointed watching this nonsense of a movie that claims to be based on Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint. It has almost nothing in common with the novel we love. Honestly, I wouldn’t even have known this was supposed to be an ORV's live action if not for the characters’ names and SingSong-nim’s name being mentioned. The director and some of the cast didn’t even have basic respect for the original story or our author-nim (let alone us readers). If they did, this movie wouldn’t have turned out the way it did.So, with all due respect, please don’t make another one.
And to those who’ve only seen the movie, I hope you understand why we are being like this and please don’t judge Omniscient Reader’s Viewpoint based on this adaptation. The novel (and even the manhwa) is a beautiful story that deserves to be experienced properly. I genuinely hope you’ll give the original a chance instead of relying on... whatever this was.

THE REASON why novel fans hate this adaption
The story was changed drastically. This is a disrespect towards the og novel. In the novel Dokja never hated the novel. It was his salvation. His reason to live. But they changed the script that said Dokja hated the ending. He never wanted to save the world. He wanted to reach a certain ending. Dokja never saved Kim Namwoo. Kim Namwoo d1ed in the train. Dokja wasn't the bully rather he was bullied. He was lonely so he searched for ways to survive then he found the novel named "Three Ways to Survive the Apocalypse". Lee Jihye was never so mature. She was a playful hot headed high schooler. Every character in the novel had painful past but they made them ruthless k1llers. They shouldn't called it an adaption. They could say it was inspired. That's not the only reason. The vfx was done poorly. Action scene were a total disaster. Acting was so stiff. Was this review helpful to you?
They Butchered ORV and Called It ‘Adaptation’.
From the trailer alone, it already feels like they just borrowed the character names and threw away everything that made ORV special. The plot’s all over the place, the tone is completely off, and even the title was changed. This isn’t an adaptation, it’s just a rebranded mess pretending to be one. The author literally said “read it with us,” and honestly? That’s the only version worth following. Was this review helpful to you?
It is so bad i want to give it a zero

this is absolutely painful to watch
It’s changed every single thing from the original novels, ignorant and misogyny director—absolutely not worth the time. I was so exited when I know about the casts but now I feel so bad for them and every reader, this is very disrespect to the source material or anyone. Sorry for my bad English, I actually didn’t write long review in this language but i dislike this movie with my passion. Was this review helpful to you?

ORV does not have any LA movie!!!
This movie just took the title and our lovely characters' names to create a new movie with a new script that's not related to our original plot. It also changed the original weapon from traditional swords to those trash (guns). Also, the cast is a problem too. First, I must admit that they're experienced actors and actresses so their performances were really good. But they don't fit in our original characters' appearance. No wonder because I have mentioned it at the beginning: This movie is not associated with our original masterpiece a lot.If you are wondering how much I rate this trash, I'll rate it 0/100. No explain no pain.
P/s: If you're one of the cast's fan and want to watch it, you should read the original (novel) or at least the manhwa to understand the plot. Don't just learn about our masterpiece through this movie!!! I swear you will regret after you realize that your time and your money is all wasted because of this.

This is like a Spinoff, but even failed as a spinoff of ORV
Do NOT watch, it’s horrible at trying to represent ORV. Even if you’re ignorant because you’re a fan of the actors or just unaware of what this monstrosity did wrong, it doesn’t completely justify watching or defending this THING. There’s so much wrong with this that I might implode just listing it all here. But just know that this “movie” botched so many deep themes of ORV by censoring them out and/or doing a complete 180 of what ORV is conveying. Was this review helpful to you?
This what people call a trash
The trailer says it all no need to watch the movie. Pathetic protagonist, labubu, over mature high schooler. Loopholes in the story. What is this? A comedy? A zombie survival show? A third rate trash? Is it really worth the money? No,it's not. The action scene, the vfx,the acting were total disaster. Why didn't they hire a stuntmaster ugh...Was this review helpful to you?
The WORST fanfic I have ever seen
You didn't really expect this to be Orv's LA, did you? Come on, nothing is correct except the character names. It should have been released under a different name, you didn't need to dirty ORV.Please don't make a la again and learn to read books.
What I mean is, hello?? This can't be Kim Dokja. Biyeong, what did they do to you?? Yjh why are you a side character? Heewon, are you tired of being a nameless NPC? WHAT ARE THESE GUNS?? YOO SANGAH, WEREN'T YOU THE OPPOSITE OF A HEALER??
You know? It's not worth saying more. Because they managed to get not a single thing right throughout the entire la. Adapting is really not difficult.. YOU HAD ONLY ONE JOB. AND THAT WAS NOT TO RUIN THE STORY. No one was expecting anything legendary from you, BECAUSE YOU HAD ONLY ONE JOB??
