Love Like the Galaxy: Part 1

星汉灿烂 ‧ Drama ‧ 2022
If you enjoyed "Love Like The Galaxy", you'll surely find "The Double" fascinating. Both series share a similar theme and aesthetic, featuring morally grey protagonists who do not follow conventional rules.
The protagonists in both series are eloquent, intelligent, and have a dark past that haunts them. Additionally, they possess a tough, witty, and ruthless personality, making them complex and captivating characters.
In both stories, the protagonists serve as the right hand of young emperors and navigate a world full of political intrigue. If you were captivated by the blend of politics and drama in "Love Like The Galaxy", "The Double" will offer you an equally thrilling experience.

With a colossal background, the two performers are very compatible and have good chemistry. The story is political, revenge, but also very funny.

Both are visually stunning historicals with similar tone and style of BGM, with specific focus on the FL's arc and development. Both dramas feel domestic and are focused on the FL and her relationship in her (extended) family structure as well as her ability to overcome issues within. Also both MLs are supportive of her. Both leads are extremely competent.

Same Actors: Zhao Lusi and Leo Wu

In Love Like The Galaxy, the two main leads are Zhao Lusi and Leo Wu, while the main leads in The Long Ballad are Leo Wu and Dilraba Dilmurat, and although Zhao Lusi is not the main lead in The Long Ballad, both actors have previously played in a drama together that aired not so long ago.

- Both star Zhao Lusi as the FL
- In both dramas the ML likes the FL from the very beginning and the FL does not reciprocate (at first)
- The FL is oblivious to the ML's feelings for her despite how obvious he is until he confesses.
- The main leads have a similar type of relationship in relation to how they work together. They are really good at solving problems (criminal investigations) together.
- Main leads have very different personalities but they fit together.
- Both star a strong ML and FL. In WRTW the FL can beat up all her enemies using her physical strength whilst in LLTG she does this by setting traps and being honest.
- Both FL's are looked down on by other people for not following social customs and are often perceived as rude and immoral.
- ML is high ranking, a powerful person everyone looks up to. A person who knows and abides by the rules but will break all of them for the FL.
- Just about every guy falls for the FL in both dramas.
- The ML would do anything for the FL even at the cost of his life.

Female leads family situation in love like the galaxy is similar to female lead in the story of minglan

The young Cheng Shao Shang was left behind because her parents had gone off to fight in the war. In order to protect herself from her scheming aunt, she had to be extra diligent while pretending to be the opposite. However, years of estrangement have made it difficult for them to become family again.

Lacking love her whole life, Cheng Shao Shang is both pragmatic and insecure in choosing a partner for marriage. She encounters three men—the emperor's adopted son Ling Bu Yi, the talented Yuan Shen of Bailu Mountain, and the aristocrat Lou Yao who each have their pros and cons. Although the road to love is bumpy, she never regrets any choice she makes. Through her interactions with Ling Bu Yi, she unintentionally becomes involved in the mystery surrounding his family and his identity. The two grow from their experiences and work together, upholding the righteousness in their hearts to resolve a national crisis.

Never made a recommendation before, but I feel like you would like Under the power if you like the good vibes the leads in love like the galaxy give. We can' t compare budgets, but the story and leads are equally captivating. What made me get over Under the power was love like the galaxy!

ML and FL have similar characters - FL is intelligent, righteous and brave; ML is a soldier/fighter and feels cold/ruthless at the beginning. On top of this, the backdrop is similar - revenge plot, the imperial court and fighting amongst the royal family.

Similar time periods a general ml with a revenge plotline which the ml is unyielding in completing and with the death of the ml family while the ml is present and a smart fl

The story is not exactly similar and its a modern drama but the Main couple have similar personalities.

Ling BuYi for some reason reminds me of Ou Chen with his overbearing/controlling methods and making decisions for the FL for her own good. Also his deep almost obsessive love for the FL to the point where he can't live without her and he made sacrifices behind the scene to make her happy.

Chen ShaoShang is also kinda similar to Yin XiaMo, savage, practical and scheming, doesn't consider love as priority as long as she can live a stable life. Treated ML coldly knowing he loves her, at first.

Both care about their loved ones and are vengeful. Both develop throughout the story and learn how to truly love.

Theres 2 adaptations of Summer's Desire, and I think both are worth watching depending on which pair actor/actress you like better.

Zhang Jing Yi is the FL in both. The chemistry is natural. The relationship had depth. However, BEITD does not have a satisfactory ending.

Similar type of settings but both are unique on it’s own. Both the female leads are clever and smart.

While LLTG does not have an enemy-to-lover trope like LoN, but everything else is almost the same.

-Both ML had to take on different identities (or disguises) growing up in the imperial court in order to investigate the truth about their past family's murder/injustices
-Both ML are screwed and scheming minister/military positions
-Both ML lies and manipulates the FL in their plots and quest for revenge

-Both FL are normal but very smart, witty girls who yearns for a carefree life with freedom.
-Both FL are their own character and person and has a very clear understanding of priority between love, family and responsibility. Meaning they don't go crazy over guys, are rational thinkers, strong and independent.

-Both dramas are slow burn romance
-Theres about a 10 years age gap between ML and FL in both dramas. Both FL are quite young, its like their coming of age story where they get embroil in the MLs' worlds.
