Fantastic!
What a Fantastic historical drama with my favourite actress LuSi! I enjoy her cheekiness, her vitality and her laugh 😃 i was honestly tempted to drop this drama after seing her family background was pictured as a sad and lonely one, i dont like to feed my mind with unjust scenes from media, expecially how partial and immature her mother is, i cannot tollerate it! But i am glad i decided to continue watching it. ! LUsi chracter is not scared of people, not afraid of speaking her mind, but this is a modern interpretation as back in time, a daughter didnt have much freedom in speech. So we, based in 21st century society, appreciate her character, strong, fiery, clever. BUT doesnt really reflect the reality back then. Regardless, i LOVE it as i am here for entertainment and not historical accuracy. I am always so surprised to see Lu Si so young and yet so capable in her acting roles! And , although in terms of age he could be my son, i am definitelly badly attracted to Leo wu! His make up nd costumes make him look much older, very domeneering... and the way is uncontrollably attracted to LuSi is strongly perceived on screen! I am halfway through this series... and i feel it might have a sad ending..?. i will check it before continuing as i dont like sad ending wih people sacrificing in the name of the loved one, i simply cannot watch it- i am up for positivity and well earned rewards. But regardless of the ending, this is definitelly worth watching: great fighting, fantastic photography.. the scene where she removes the arrow... erghhhh ... very realistic. Update on ep38- wowwwww it gets better and better. Chemistry amongst the MLeads is fantastic! They are perfectly matched, with little.love received from their own family, they will love each other till the end! LU Si and Leo Wu, another drama worth watching. Welll done. A slow burn drama that is worth your while.
When I write this review I have actually finished both parts. So I know how the 2nd part is even better than the first (if that is even possible). If you have time to watch, watch it slow as it was meant to be, you will be immensely satisfied. Do justice to the film crews who have worked so hard to make this joyful film, do not skip scenes. All are equally meaningful. To me everything were just perfect. The casting, the acting, the background music, the story, the cinematography and all . So there are no other deserving score than a 10 from me. Just love the chemistry between the leads. Zhao Lusi I have seen in a few other dramas and know she can act well, but the ML as Ling Buyi was just excellent here. His voice, his gaze and his manner in different roles from a war general to a longing lover were just perfect. Same for all the rest. Fantastic slow burn drama
I am a huge fan of slow burn romance dramas, and this one ticks all of the boxes for me. It has an interesting storyline, likable characters that you can relate to and empathize with, and amazing chemistry between the two leads. I've watched too many shows where the FL falls in love with the ML in just a few episodes and while I don't usually mind it, a longer relationship progression is much more engaging and realistic. In this drama you can actually see the FL and ML's love, respect, and trust for each other grow throughout each episode.People have mentioned that it had a slow start, but I found that the beginning actually lay out great groundwork for future episodes and I didn't find any episode boring at all. I loved learning more about the FL and her family life as it made her more relatable and interesting.
Things also worth mentioning: beautiful cinematography, humour that is comedic but not overdone and exaggerated, and storyline/scenes that really pull at your heartstrings. While I don't know what part 2 holds, I highly recommend watching part 1!

A breath of fresh air and a highly-recommended period drama.
This is the second Chinese drama that I didn't drop. The production is definitely high budgeted. Those camera angles and visuals are exquisite. The background music is fitting to the scenes as well. The acting of the leads are always on point. I didn't expect much on the supporting characters, but it surprised me a lot. From the annoying grandmother to the funny but loving emperor. All the casts has been thought through. The story/plot is quite slow burn but it was essential enough for the growth of each character especially to the female lead. I love the female lead's personality, she always wins in any argument. Everyone thinks that she's an idiot who lacks manners, but she's definitely the smartest. I love the she's not even swayed by other people's judgements on her, even on the Male lead's good looks. The male lead has given justice to his character as a fierce and ruthless general. He is fearsome to other people, but soft-hearted to the female lead. I like how his voice changes most especially when he's in front of the female lead. One of the many things that I love about this drama is truly the chemistry between the leads. Their expressions are so natural. Seems like they don't have to try so hard just to look in love. Best drama of the year
Love Like the Galaxy is best drama of the year. It shows family relationship, romance, politics and palace drama. The characters are real, when you watch, you can understand where they’re coming from. The cast is awesome!!!!! I love so many of the characters. You get to see their strength and weak moments. Storyline is beautifully done from beginning to end. I started with laughing so much to crying my eyes out towards the end. The screenwriters are brilliant. This drama does not disappoint. One of the best dramas of the year
Everything was amazing. Starting from the plot, the cast, direction, music. I have no complaints but only appreciation. The main cast never disappointed us in a single scene. The dedication and talent was clearly visible through every frame. And I must say that the director was extremely cool and funny and definitely talented. You cannot bring the best from your cast unless you are talented. Thank you again sir.The drama gives you mixed emotions in every second. Love, happiness, jealous, sadness, heartache, any emotion you name it. You can rewatch it again and again still won't get ever bored. Thank you very much for everyone who's been part of this amazing work.

Two unfortunate souls destined to be together
This is one phenomenal drama. Every thing from the story to the acting to the characters is just perfect. As the drama goes one, you'll fall in love with the characters (even the side characters). But what makes this drama so beautiful is actually the way the scenes are shot so magnificently and the background soundtrack.The first part of the drama is a bit slower but keeps getting intense as we move on. The initial introduction of the characters is done really well to make the audience feel connected to them. The Lou Yao arc shows the difference between the fl with the ml vs with Lou Yao and draws emphasis on why the fl and ml are the otp. Every thing has a reason in this drama which is rare in dramaland these days.

Also my rating for Music is very personal the song and BGM are all good but I need and OST sang by Lusi. i didn’t like the ost used for the whole season until I listened to Lusi cover that music w guzheng

Our series, which actually contains a beautiful love story, was a revenge series. From the beginning to the end, we always felt this vengeance secretly. We felt love as being with him when he needed it, being saved by it many times, admiration behind the gratitude for it, and then being strongly attached. It went on like this until the end. We understood that even if a resentful person is in peace, they cannot be separated, and that they will not be in the heart with another person, even in appearance. These were presented to us in such a beautiful way. I congratulate the director and the actors for this.
The series did not pass with mere revenge and love games, there was action, there was war, there was loyalty, there was comedy. Especially Cheng Grandma was awesome. I pass alone. I bow respectfully before our artist. I really liked your game. The other comedian, Baba Cheng Shi, was also great. Mother Yuan Yi followed them. I admired him. Our Emperor Jieng Feng did a great job. He was good at everything. He's also very into comedy. The harmony of the spouses with each other was also wonderful. I have never seen such an emperor consortium before. At the same time, they fascinated with their beauty. Likewise, there was a perfect harmony and acting, be it teenagers, princesses, princes, other family children. I can say I'm lost.
The harmony of our lead couple was also great. Congratulations to them. I'm waiting for your new series. I hope to watch.
I think this was the flash series of the year. It was the number one series for me. I have several such strings. We look forward to the continuation. Please producers and directors we are waiting for such great series sir. Health to your hands.

What I find refreshing is just that. Little by little layers are delved into so that we understand the characters as they develop. Not only that, it’s family oriented, gives us slice of life moments. It has palace intrigues, secrets, birthrights, and of course scheme.
Towards the end of season, as General declares his love for Shaoshang, it’s a perfect arrival to season two where we have lots to build on as we anticipate the direction of the leads romance. Mind you, there’s loads of great moments of the story to keep us entertained, laugh out loud, shed some tears, etc. I give so much credit to entire cast, yes leads and younger cast members but also salute to older members for their great contributions. It’s a well put together story so don’t be a sleeper on this great production. Just read subs fast cuz lots of script conversations. Enjoy!

one of the most amazing historical dramas out there
Oh how long it’s been since we got this kind of dramas back. I was sick of the historical rom-coms China gave us in the last two to three years. Unrealistic, boring and missing literally everything we actually watched historical dramas for.I really missed the heart wrenching feeling I get while watching these kind of dramas.
With Love Like The Galaxy we finally got what we wanted for a very long time. The amazing storyline had its depth, the characters were beautifully written and don’t get me even started about the romance of the main leads. *chef’s kiss*
After being obsessed with The Long Ballad I was shocked when I saw both Zhao Lusi and Leo Wu to be in this drama together AS MAIN LEADS. Never thought my impossible feeling ship had finally sailed.
Lusi and Leo did an incredible job here. Their characters were fabulous. I loved how loving and caring Ling Buyi was, how deeply in love he was with Cheng Shaoshang, the girl who slowly gets to be one of my favorite female leads of all time. Their characters were so different from each other, him being a ruthless general and her being a unloved child of parents who went to war for their country. The Cheng family had their own faults and mistakes, but that made them even more realistic. Their actions made sense and I often could understand why they acted like this. The same goes to the other characters. Props to the writers of this drama, we finally got a little bit away from the all-time used cliches in historical dramas. I laughed with the emperor, felt sad about the empress, was proud because of the concubine and had a love-hate relationship with most of the other characters.
The storyline had an amazing flow. Politics, history and romance were mixed together with the right amount of each. The political situation in the empire made sense and because of that the whole plot was better to understand. Even not being historically accurate, the drama still had a lot of elements of the conflicts in the past which made the drama more interesting, knowing that some of these events even happened in real life. Same can’t be said about the main couple (obviously lmao) which just reached all of my expectations. Their story developed VERY slow but it was worth it. I’m not a big fan of non-enemies-to-lovers slow burn but this one here… this one was fantastic. I loved this couple. Their chemistry was just something else. Zhao Lusi is an actress I always shipped with literally every other male actor lol. But her playing Shaoshang as the love interest of Buyi made me just swoon all the time. They were so sweet together. Such mature characters who were played by amazing actors.
The soundtracks fit this drama very well. Especially the OST at the beginning will probably have me feel really nostalgic while watching this drama again.
This means that I will rewatch the drama of course. I even started with some of the most unforgettable scenes right after finishing the drama yesterday (don’t get me even started on the arrow scene and the punishment scene omfg).
This will probably be one of my favs I will just rewatch anytime I have free time when there’s no other drama to watch. :D
