THIS DRAMA AND THE CASTS DESERVE AN AWARD!

Lusi and Leo Wu acting is top notched on this series, tbh. Its my favorite CDrama because aside from the scripts are wholesome, the character development of each characters are well visible and viewed.
My fave part is when Ling Buyi finally completed his revenge and his facial expression radiates the bittersweet victory. Happy of finally doing the revenge and sad of losing the only woman he loves.
I never saw that kind of intense acting on CDRAMA before tbh. His acting gave me the exact emotions for that certain scene. His character is really challenging because his emotions was oppressed for a long time and when the last 15 episode run, the drama brought us (audience) to a roller coaster ride of emotions.
I got constant goosebumps even with the fight scenes where black army reinforced Buyi on shouchun city scene, when cheng family helped shaoshang bypass the guards to rescue Ling buyi, when Cheng Family arrived in Gu city, Ling Buyi jumping off the cliff etc.
Lusi acting is also good. from being bubbly to a reserved lady, her character growth gives me goosebumps as well. Black Army gives me a marvel entrance when they arrive as reinforcements, Fei and Qi add flavor to the series with Buyi too, Shaoshang parents played their role very well, The emperor is the MVP plus the empress and consort on the same team.
Im telling you, I am 28 years old and this is my first time rating a drama all my life. and I am doing extra miles to show my appreciation for this masterpiece.
Give this drama the rewards they deserve, give recognition to the casts and production team.

I feel so good to skip Kdrama now and will start to explore Cdrama.
I thought Cdrama is more on CGI thats why I usually avoid watching, but this time Love like the galaxy prove me wrong. altho this drama have parts with CGI, but still it gives justice to the series.
I will start exploring Chinese drama now. Thanks to Wu Lei and Lu Si and all the cast of this series!

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT ???

*** Spoiler Alert (PERSONAL FEEDBACK)
Title : Love Like The Galaxy - 2022 (Complete 56 Episode)
Personal Rating : 10/10

LOVE AT FIRST SIGHT😍😍😍

This drama is my most re-watched drama. Their chemistry is one of the best, they fit their roles perfectly (WU LEI as Ling Buyi and ZHAO LUSI as Cheng Shao Shang) and they are one of the best couple in Chinese drama. ❤️❤️❤️

This is a slow burn drama that will tackle politics, family relationships and loyalty. Ling Buyi is the foster son of the emperor and one of the survivors of the GU CITY. He is strong, smart, ruthless and will do everything for the sake of revenge but when it comes to Cheng Shao Shang he melts completely. Cheng Shao Shang is an only daughter that was brought up by her grandmother and auntie unfavorably. She doesn’t know how to love because she was not loved and cared for since she was little. All she knows is not to be dependent on anyone and how to survive on her own. She is a bit dumb because no one teaches her anything, but she is street smart. And the Cheng family is a typical Chinese family which they favored the men over the women.

The storyline of this drama is superb from the beginning to end. I love how Ling Buyi loves Shao Shang. He will do everything for Shao Shang even of letting her go to another man or letting her go just not to be drag by his revenge or family drama. He will always make sure that Shao Shang is perfectly protected to the point that it’s hard for Shao Shang. And the love and loyalty of Shao Shang is so pure when she finally realizes how much she loves him. ❤️

Overall, this drama is perfect for me. There are lot of scenes that are to die for and will give you butterfly in your stomach. and I came to like WU LEI because of this drama. This is a romantic comedy drama with a happy ending! Salute to WU LEI and ZHAO LUSI!!!!

Best costume drama

I was watching this drama while it was still airing. I hardly rewatch any drama even I enjoy it so much while it was still airing. One and half year later, I rewatched this drama & realize what’s a perfect drama it was/is. There are many beautiful moments in this drama that I forgot about it. The chemistry between the leads, normally I don’t think about it but rewatching this drama, two leads were amazing together. The director did an amazing jobs with all the details. The casts were amazing. I think it’s an excellent drama.

Not your typical romance drama

Lu Si and Wu Lei together are really your perfect combination. Throughout this entire series (Part 1), I've seen so much growth.

1. Niao Niao and her mother's relationship.
The relationship between Niao Niao and her mother started off with so much friction. That itself had given me quite the rollercoaster ride emotionally. Stuck between trying to understand her mother but at the same time cannot relate to her bias towards Yang Yang. Sympathizing Niao Niao but at the same time thinking she does deserve some strict education to soften her stubborn character. Slowly, Niao Niao starts to realize that her mother does care about her somewhat, although they both don't always agree with each other. Her mother on the other hand do reflect on her treatment towards Niao Niao.

2. Niao Niao as a character
Initially I thought this is another drama with an intelligent, perfect-in-every-way female character. Never thought I would see such a down-to-earth character with so many flaws. She is very stubborn, assumes too quickly, impulsive at times, inconsiderate of her family and definitely not educated. Her major strengths are her intelligence, her bravery and her talent in handiwork. It is because this character has a lot of rooted flaws which is impossible to oversee throughout the drama, you can see her growth. She started off as a person who only cares about protecting and standing up for herself, then she encountered the bandits and started to understand that there are bigger problems in the world she is living in. She slowly understands that there are many things that couldn't go her way, sometimes she has to let go for the better good - this from her relationship with Ah Yao. You see her starting to understand the concept of love and what it means to be married to someone as well from her relationship with Ah Yao to her engagement with Ling Bu Yi. I really love this character's growth so far in the drama and can't wait to see how Part 2 turns out for her.

3. Ling Bu Yi as a character
In a way, I guess LBY is quite consistent throughout this part of the drama. He has a clear goal : revenge for his family. His protective instinct towards the people he cares, the respect he has towards the emperor and the love he has for his country remains the same. However, you do see tiny tiny changes in his character when he started courting Niao Niao. No doubt, he is definitely better showing love and care as compared to Niao Niao but he does have trouble expressing it in a way that is more acceptable to the person receiving it. You see his overbearing character starting to tone down and he starts to soften up, to accommodate Niao Niao's free spirited character.

Of course, on top of the plot progression and the character growth, I love love love all those tiny gestures and quirks.

1. The way LBY stares in disagreement at the emperor or his subordinates and they got the message loud and clear.

2. Similarly, the emperor likes to do that side stare to observe LBY's reaction every now and then.

3. Niao Niao's shocked and awkward expressions whenever LBY becomes affectionate or says something cringy out of the blue.

I cannot leave out my favourite element of the drama as well - the conversations the characters have.

1. I love how Niao Niao would voice out her opinion and her perspective about the kind of relationship she wants with LBY.

2. Niao Niao's conversation with her parents about how marriage is not as simple as what she thought it would be. You see a turning point here when Niao Niao starts to realize how she might be thinking in the wrong direction all along. I guess this is one of the very few times Niao Niao and her mother have a decent conversation.

3. The funny moments when the emperor would nag LBY. You can really feel the love and affection the emperor has for LBY.

Oh well, I guess this the longest review I've ever written and it's just part 1 of the drama. Safe to say that I am obsessed with this drama. The drama is not even over and I've already rewatched Part 1 twice. It's worth the wait.

If I could recommend only one Chinese drama it would be this one

If you love slow burn, smart female lead and morally grey male lead this drama is made for you.

This is not only a love story, this is a female centric kind of story. And what a female lead we have here ! Chen Shaoshang is one of the smartest and most relatable character even written in a Chinese drama. We follow her
path to adulthood and through her we also witness the growth of the characters she met through her journey. Not everything is black and white If you love slow burn, smart female lead and morally grey male lead this drama is made for you.

This is not only a love story, this is a female centric kind of story. And what a female lead we have here : Chen Shaoshang is one of the smartest and most relatable character ever written . She has a military lineage and being unwilling abandoned by her parents who have to fight for the nation, she is bullied by her aunt and her grandmother who promised her parents to take of her in their absence, as she grows up in a hostile environment, she is forced to count only on herself to survive hence why she is a very independent lady.

When her parents come back, it doesn’t go as smoothly for her as we could imagine. We follow her path into adulthood and through her we witness her growth but also the development of the characters she met during her journey. We also witness the solace she gains from the relationships she builds along her way in the search of the love she lacked during childhood. Not everything is black and white and Niaoniao even end up feeling empathy without completely forgiving some of the characters who treated her badly.

Her and Ling Buyi’s love story isn’t an easy one, he falls for her at the first hand side but her love for him is slowly built stone after stone, trials after trials and eventually this love becomes passionate and unshakable. Speaking of Ling Buyi, no one could have make us love this perfectly flawed general more than Wu Lei. What an amazing actor he is ! Probably one of the best of his gen. Just like Shaoshang, Ling Buyi’s childhood was full of traumatizing event we can’t help but slowly fall under the spell of this strong but mysterious general while undiscovering his secrets.

Don’t walk run to watch this you won’t regret it.

First half of the drama is great

I enjoyed this half of the story.
Finally a FL that I can support. She's not dumb, and has her own opinions. She has a bit of MC halo but it doesn't make her annoying. I like how she gets into trouble here.

This half focuses on her family, and I'm not a huge fan of how her mom tries to discipline Niao Niao.

Anyways, the first half of this drama is great, which is what this rating is based on. HOWEVER, I'm not a huge fan f the second part of the drama.

The acting is mostly great, except I'm not a huge fan of Wu Lei. Granted, this role is rather challenging, so I commend him for expanding his horizons. Most time it's fine, except when he is trying to be angry and intimating, he looks like he's "acting." Zhao Lu Si on the other hand was excellent. She is a great actress and all her emotions seem natural.

Only thing I can say about this drama is that it is a masterpiece. I enjoyed every single bit of it from episode 1 till the end. Our 2 leads had so so much chemistry. Not only that, they also look so good together. Zhao Lu Si did an amazing job portraying Cheng ShaoShang-bringing her character to life and allowing the audience to empathize with her every step of the way. Wu Lei did an equally amazing job as well. I adored his strong and bold character but loved his soft and loyal heart. The way he loves and care for Cheng Shao Shang was truly impeccable. And then his care for her family was another thing I adored. I expected the king in this drama to be evil and greedy like all other dramas but he wasn't. He was so loving, kind, and caring and so was his queen who treated Cheng Shao Shang like her own daughter when Shao Shang actual mother did not do her part. I honestly cannot find anything bad to say about this drama. I love every single thing about this drama from the plot to the characters.

When a familiar stranger becomes family, is blood really thicker than water?

The first half of this drama is thrilling, romantic, funny, aggravating, devastating - a whirlwind of emotions. If memory recalls, around episode 7 or 8 there is a stunning sequence of shots at the lantern festival; if previous episodes hadn't hooked you with the female lead's comedy then this moment of pure wonder and moving background music will. Admittedly, there are moments of real frustration for viewers even in the first half that seep their way through to the second half (and it's confusing and rushed finish), but since this is a part 1 review I will not condemn what is yet to come. Although it's been promoted largely as a romance, at heart this is a tale of family and how far people will go to defend it. Even the Emperor punishes his children - but he protects and loves them as well (as much as any other father would); we see parent-child relationships on imperial and common levels, and it's exactly because we see the familiar family dynamics of Cheng Shaosheng's house that we can have empathy and interest in the royal court. You will cry, cure and smile watching this drama - the one thing you won't do is regret it! So get to watching :)))

Must Watch ! Sets the bar higher !

I love this drama so much. I enjoy ever second and moment if this drama. And the chemistry are to die for. Loooooove their lines. So poetic and also the cinematography and the background music is amazing. Seriously it's a whole other level of watching experience. I'd love to see them on big screen. You can tell that this series is a biiig project and biiig production with biiiiiiig budget. They have alot of interesting character and their development are well written and executed. Also alot of veterans and excellent actors are here as well. Zhao Lusi and Wu Lei did an amaaaaazing job leading this drama. I really they can work again.

Two unfortunate souls destined to be together

This is one phenomenal drama. Every thing from the story to the acting to the characters is just perfect. As the drama goes one, you'll fall in love with the characters (even the side characters). But what makes this drama so beautiful is actually the way the scenes are shot so magnificently and the background soundtrack.

The first part of the drama is a bit slower but keeps getting intense as we move on. The initial introduction of the characters is done really well to make the audience feel connected to them. The Lou Yao arc shows the difference between the fl with the ml vs with Lou Yao and draws emphasis on why the fl and ml are the otp. Every thing has a reason in this drama which is rare in dramaland these days.

ALITTLE BIT SLOW BUT WORTH WATCHING

I love this drama....but I love all Rosy drama. I like how they made the FL didn't fall in love with the ML right away. The reason why I say that, she grew up without love from anyone. No friends or family. She was always byself with her maid. The ML was a general like her parents, so of course she was scare he would be same and leave her. FL didn't know she was already in love with him. Her ex fiancee she didn't love him, but she liked the fact that she can be in control and be herself. The first part is slow but worth watching because without it doesn't show why the FL is so strong and intelligent and stand side by side with her general and help him. I do believe part 2 will be extremely great and better. It will show about General Ling story, and how his wife will save him from the darkness of his past

If you are a lover of historical drama and romance, then trust me you will not regret watching this

I want to make a confession, I'm madly in love with this drama. Should I give credit to Niaoniao's parents? They really made me cry...... They both care about her even though they left the her in the beginning. All because of their responsibility to protect the country and the people, I admire and love them. Oh sure, the chemistry between General Ling and Shaoshao is amazing and the most interesting thing that caught my attention is how each actor looks so handsome and beautiful, you can fall in love at first sight then fall in love with someone else, then and again. . and again and never ending lol. My heart is always excited [badum badum] when she takes revenge from the episode she took revenge on her uncle, princess and so on. I highly recommend this and I can't wait to watch it
