Love without the drama....just pure hearts and real connection
I just finished this drama and I'm completely in love with it! This is one of those rare gems that proves you don't need breakups, silly misunderstandings, or annoying drama stuff to create something beautiful.The main couple is absolutely perfect together. The male lead is mature, supportive, and his love is so pure it melts your heart. He knows exactly what he wants from the start and never changes his mind. The female lead is strong, knows what she wants, and can stand up for herself. Yes, she has fears from past relationships, but that makes her feel real and easy to relate to. Their chemistry is amazing, and their hugs feel like warm blankets full of comfort and love.
What makes this drama special is how they handle problems. Instead of breaking up over every issue like typical dramas, they actually talk and work through things together. The story moves at a good pace without dragging or rushing through important moments.
Everyone around them is wonderfully supportive - their families, friends, and even their boss. The female friendships are especially heartwarming with no backstabbing, just real ride-or-die support. The childhood flashbacks add such sweetness and nostalgia to their love story.
Beyond the romance, this drama talks about important issues like pressure on women in their 30s and the judgment single mothers face. It teaches us that our biggest problems are often in our own heads, shaped by what society expects and our past experiences. But if we find courage to go after what we want, it's always worth it.
The music is beautiful, and the acting is amazing. He Yu deserves so much more recognition! This is definitely one of my favorites. Highly recommend for anyone wanting a meaningful, cozy watch that makes you believe in love again!

Gender reversed childhood friends turned lovers story
If you exchange the genders of the leads, this is the typical childhood friends turned into lovers trope.Their parents were best friends and neighbors. They promised each other that if their children had the same sex they'll be sworn siblings and if different let them marry. The catch? FL was born seven years before the ML. So by now you can guess that the main conflict in the drama is a society that looked down on older female-much younger male relationships.
I really liked that drama showed us flashbacks of the leads' childhood. The FL took care of the ML when their parents were busy, saved him when she thought he was bullied, basically treating him as just a younger brother. The ML on the other hand, worshipped the FL, obeyed her in everything and considered all her words to know how to please her.
The FL kept failing in relationships while the ML just looked on waiting until she finally notices him but she never did. He then went on to study abroad to become more competent and attractive. When he returned the virginal ML kept seducing the FL until she finally gave in. I really can imagine this as if their roles were reversed. A big brother taking care of his so-called sister who in turn is very obedient and tried to become attractive, then because she had a crush on him, pretended to be helpless and seduced him. See? Typical.
The real conflict in this drama is that the FL felt like she was a cradle snatcher if she will have a relationship with the ML. Once she got over this thinking, their relationship stayed strong amidst worried. I was satisfied to see that the main CP has enough people who are close to them supportive of their relationship. The people who matters.
I could not give this a perfect rating because I would have liked to see more growth in the leads, more reasons to see that they are an OTP but overall this is a fun watch which though typical was not that cliched.

So, I started watching this after He Yu's role in Speed and Love. I just gotta say: his role and character is completely different in this drama. Here, he's the little golden retriever type of boy constantly trying to pursue the woman he loves. Hair theory is truly a thing though after I watched this drama. Not to say that he didn't look good here but I like his hair a lot better in Speed and Love. I do like that He Yu can play these very different roles, though. He masters both of them so well. This drama was very similar to Find Yourself in a way, which is why I wasn't amazed at it. I didn't like how the FL kept on pulling herself away and acting cold, when a wonderful man was right beside her. However, I do think this drama is better than Find Yourself in the pacing and length of drama. 29 episodes is good enough for this plot because any longer, it would start to drag on. I also noticed that even though I couldn't binge this whole drama, once I started watchig a few episodes at a time, I couldn't stop. So, I watched this drama in like segments of like bingeing 3 episodes at a time. I don't know though. It wasn't like a drama that I was super invested in, I kind of played it in the background of doing other things, iykwim. The ending was great, overall, it was a decent watch. But, it wasn't like a drama that I will constantly think about every day. Through just their 1st meeting, I can already see the comfort that Lu Zheng An gives Lin Yang. The minute they hugged, Lin Yang melted into his arms and started crying. "I care for him because he cares for me." "She is my bottom line." Even if they don't both admit it, they are each other's most important person and everyone can see that. In the back of their minds, they will always care about the wellbeing of the other person. Li Tian is actually one of the most annoying and delusional characters. Since the first episode bro, causing messes for no reason. I loved the scene after Li Tian and Lin Yang fought in the office and Lin Yang told Lu Zheng An that she wanted to walk alone, but he followed her always like 5 steps behind. I lied, take that back. Halfway through the drama, Li Tian actually becomes an understanding and respectful person. After admitting that there is no chance between her and Lu Zheng An, Li Tian became a likeable person.
Lu Zheng An is such a nice guy towards Lin Yang. When watching the drama, I sometimes forget that he's 7 years younger. He's a good caretaker. Knows how to cook, clean, and care for a person emotionally as well. But she keeps on pushing away. Ugh...I know why she's pushing but I wish she wouldn't. FINALLY!! Episode 14 and Lin Yang realized how important Lu Zheng An is to her and how much love and care he has for her. He even made his Moments private to share his thoughts throughout life all these years with Lin Yang only. All those posts and messages were directly for her only.
UGHHH...Their dating arc was so cuteeee. Lu Zheng An and Lin Yang having to hide it from the public, but Lu Zheng An not being discreet at all. I loved it, there were so many cute moments and sweet encounters between the two of them.
I think the reason that the age difference doesn't bother me in this drama is because I can't really see it. Lu Zheng An is so mature and knows how to care for Lin Yang perfectly. Although he may act goofy sometimes, he still helps her plenty. He cooks, cleans, cares for her when she's drunk, and emotionally helps her to open up. Not that only that, but he helps her friends too. He fully immerses himself in his life and tries to make it happier and easier for her, which is exactly what a bf should do. So, personally, the age gap isn't shown through their actions and it doesn't bother me at all.
HAHHAAHH!!! What a dirty mind they both have. When they were sitting on the couch in episode 20 and all the movies/shows that popped up on the TV reminded them of *that*. Like, even a rocket or like a dam that was pushing out water got them both flustered ash. And then after they did some not very sibling-like activities. I should have seen it coming. Although I gotta say, that scene was pretty graphic for a cdrama. Usually, they just cut it and skip to the after part, but it was pretty graphic is all I gotta say.
I love how they dealt with the public exposure and that whole conflict. Both of them have been so confident and secure in their relationship, always fighting for the other. Lin Yang and Lu Zheng An fufilled the promise of not giving up on each other. Ugh, I love Lu Zheng An's dad. He understands and has always supported their love and then giving his hard earned money to solve the issue. Aw...Lu Zheng An crying and then the dad saying "Bring my daughter-in-law back." I loved that sentence. I love the moms too later on, once they understand the whole relationship and start realizing how good of a situation this is. I'm so glad there wasn't a brbeak up or last minute misunderstanding. That would've actually made me crash out. Both of them are trying to protect the other and you can blatantly see it. Especially loved when both families agreed to their relationship and were even happy about it. Their families are the most important parts of their lives, so the fact that they all agree and hide nothing makes it so much less stressful.
Awww....I loved the ending of this drama. It was so reassuring and closing for everyone. Every single character grew into a better person and found their own path in life. I especially love the proposal scene with Lu Zheng An and the slideshow that was playing of all the people that he loved in his life. It was really wholesome and sweet. Also, I love the full circle moment with Lin Yang's child and Cao Ling's child as well. It's just like the same dynamic that Lu Zheng An and Lin Yang had, except those children are only 5 years apart. It makes it seem like this story is just beginning and never ending.

Stop what you're doing....and watch this
Honestly, I hardly ever take the time to write a review but this drama is special. I usually stick to kdramas because eventhough there are similar tropes, Cdramas often take the same tropes and manage to make it 10x more annoying. As the ML is 6 years younger than the FL, it could have been cringey or made the FL out to be immature or clumsy and silly, but not this one! In fact, the writers take so many of the things we come to expect from dramas and show us that you don't need all of that to produce a show worth watching.My fated boy has a strong female lead, supporting parents, no misunderstandings that could have been sorted out with a single conversation, lovely friends and no horrible bosses! The love triangle was mild and the second lead (If you can call her that) got the picture midway through the show. Even the backflashes to their childhood added something special to the show and was never anything I skipped. It was adorable!
All in all, FANTASTIC. And that's coming from me who watches about 3 Cdramas in a year and who complains bitterly if show has more than 24 episodes. This one has 29 and I loved each and every one of them!
Like I said - stop what you're doing and go watch this!

What nonsense; Super cringe, horrible plot and even more horrible is the acting!
Dropped it at Episode 13, so this review is based on that.First, I seriously do not understand how this drama is rated anything above 7 considering how some literal masterpieces out there get half the attention than this. Also, I see this listed on no-cliches and healthy romance a lot but I would 100% (politely) disagree. This is as trope-y as any average C/K drama. There is an unnecessarily rude and annoying second female lead who does not take no for an answer and harasses the FL. There is also the overdone trope of age which leads to the FL treating the ML like a doormat. Then you have the brooding SML and this unnamed relationship between him and the FL. If that is not trope-y, I don't know what is.
My biggest problem is with the way the FL acts (in general) and treats the ML. The way the FL just keeps on humiliating him, shouting at him, letting her insecurities get the better of her and lashing out at him is too much and no one should tolerate that, especially under the garb of love. Just because you can't deal with your feelings (coherent or incoherent) you do not get the right to take it out on anyone else, which she does again and again. That's just plain abuse.
Also, I've not seen other works of the actress, but I find her acting here to be extremely horrible. In the sequence where she acts drunk early on, I was getting second-hand embarrassment with her poor acting and how she seemed more paedophile trying to attack the guy than drunk.
I regret wasting even a single minute of my time on this show. It is not worth it and I would not recommend this to anyone. I was willing to drop it at Ep 1 but all these positive comments had me thinking maybe it gets better. Almost halfway through, it DID NOT get even 1% better and was such a painful watch throughout.
I'm giving this a 2 only because I enjoyed He Yu's acting quite a lot. He was quite fit for the role, I only wish the role was better. Whenever he was on screen, it became a little bearable.

I Tried .... But Thank You Sunshine.... Lu Cheng An!
I was very interested to watch this highly rated drama of 24 year old male who loves 31 year old childhood female friend, but was disappointed by the mundane storyline. I liked the boyish and cute charm of Lu Cheng An (He Yu). I liked his determination and bravery to pursue the love of his life. But, unfortunately, I find him no chemistry with Lin Yang (Li Xi Rui). They appear much more like a brother and sister relationship as she is always talking down to him. And for a 31 year old to be shy, hesitant and un-sure in so many episodes can really be unnerving. I find she is a much better match for cousin Xie Nan Ke.I tried, I took breaks, I pressed fast forward a lot. On episode 25 today, I decided to drop this drama and move on with my life.

So boring and annoying
This is the only drama I decided to drop because of annoying character of both ML and FL. ML is soooo shameless boring and annoying character and FL is psychic.Most annoying things,
1. For ML 100-200 messages she barely replies one or two messages yet again he runs to her even after knowing she does that only to him but to others she is not.
2. Only because he is younger than her, in most of the times it is tried to portray his childishness even though he is 24 years old.
3. Even though she didn’t had any feelings yet she wants to try because she is getting old and old.
4. She has loved number of guys and got break up, yet again she is cheerful for new relationship.
5. Even her friends characters is also most annoying because till 9 episodes scenes are repeating, they try to push her to love ML and she always says same thing that she don’t have any feelings for him and he is like his little brother, but she couldn’t completely avoid him so that no to waste time on her.
6. Irrespective of the situation the director tried to show comedy in most of the scenes, I felt it’s childish and immature.
7. Love plot is very worst or there is no love plot actually from when he started to have feelings for her(till nine episodes, I don’t know whether it shown in future episodes).
8. If I were the director I would have courted ML to second FL.

Just a decent filler
OVERALLThis drama is nothing out of this world, but it's worth the watch if 1) you're looking for a drama that delivers romantic scenes and isn't false advertisement, 2) you like super sweet and nurturing male leads, 3) you dig assertive female leads. Still, if you 1) get super annoyed by clichés, 2) find age-gap romances hard to swallow, 3) are looking for lots of comedy, maybe skip.
THE STORY
Not sure why the last few dramas I've watched were all just kind of average. My Fated Boy isn't bad at all, but I wasn't dying to watch it before I started, I wasn't dying to keep watching while I did, and I'm not dying to rewatch it now that it's over. On the positive side:
1) Female lead has a backbone. She can stand up to herself.
2) Male lead is very sweet and nurturing towards female lead, which is really the best way to pursue a girl, in my opinion.
3) the drama has super nice and caring parents, no crazy in-laws.
4) the friends (well, at least one) have interesting stories of their own that you won't feel like skipping.
5) the drama gives the OTP some cute scenes and coherent development.
On the negative side:
1) the drama is literally just a mashup of clichés. Everything about the OTP feels like something you've seen or heard five hundred times, all age-gap conflicts and their resolution are super predictable.
2) Female lead is deep but the drama doesn't give her a good backstory to explain her depth or give her any character development.
3) Male lead doesn't exist as an individual, all he cares about is Female lead, which makes him super flat.
4) the drama really goes full on with cliché, two-dimensional female stalkers that can't take no for an answer and make everyone's life miserable. There's just one after another.
5) the best of the OTP is the "falling in love" part, the "being together" part feels lackluster.
THE ACTING
Ok, I guess. Wasn't super impressed but I think everyone did well enough, given that it's not a drama to show extraordinary skills. I must say though, that after the last few dramas I've watched with scenes of crazy chemistry between the leads, the OTP in this one feels a bit tame. Not forced though, they still look fine. There just isn't as much chemistry between them.

Not really high. The drama's fine to watch, but it's just too average for rewatch. I only rewatch dramas with unforgettable, gripping, emotional or thrilling scenes. This one had none of the above.

Not your typical C-Drama romcom, and that's a great thing!
Chinese romcoms are moving away from having adult female characters (ages 30+) act cutesy and clueless, and I am glad. Finally, we are seeing female lead characters who are normal and real. I was so surprised by the female lead character because not only did the actress do a fantastic job, but the character is someone that women between the ages of 28-40 can relate to. I was also surprised by the interaction that she had with her female coworkers about their job, while they were inside of the restroom at the bar/restaurant. The reason I was surprised is because they were speaking up about the conflict that many women face around the world, when working at a corporate job or in tech; sexism in the workplace is real and horrible.Side note: I'd date a man who is 6 years younger than me, as long as he is not in his 20's. What I like about the male lead character is that although he is young, he is confident, and isn't interested in living for the moment as most male 20 year olds do nowadays. Also, the actor is cute, and I like his haircut.

La cure de vitamine nécessaire pour cet hiver!
Si je devais élire le couple le plus adorable, le plus drôle, le plus fou, le plus « woaouh » de cette dernière décennie, je pense que Lin Yang et Lu Zheng An sont bien placés pour faire partie de mon top 10, voire mon top 5.L’histoire? deux familles qui décident bien avant la naissance de leur progéniture de les marier si jamais ils ont des enfants de sexe différents. Voilà tout est dit. Et?? c’est tout? Oui, et c’est là le génie de la scénariste. Transformer une histoire classique (les mariages arrangés étaient monnaie courante il y a peu, voire encore de nos jours) en une pépite d’or, un diamant brut, une perle rare. Tout d’abord et surtout l’atout principal de ce drama : le couple principal ! Mamamia ! Ce couple avec 7 ans de différence est une totale réussite!
Les petites scènes qui introduisent chaque épisode sont une idée de génie. J’avais l’habitude des petites scènes de fin qui donne une vision différente de l’ensemble de l’épisode, je pense notamment à « You who came from the star » ou encore plus récemment à « Mysterious Love« . Ici, ce sont des scènes d’introduction sur l’enfance de Lin Yang et Lu Zheng An qui sont contées afin non pas de nous apporter un éclairage nouveau, mais plutôt pour nous faire comprendre ce lien extraordinaire qui les lie depuis leur naissance. Ces scènes d’enfance sont drôles et bouleversantes. Chaque scène nous fait comprendre sans ambages leur lien si particulier, leurs actions une fois devenus adultes, la profonde relation qu’ils entretiennent aussi avec leur parents, et les parents entre eux. J’ai tellement adoré ces moments, j’ai dû m’exclamer presque à chaque fois « AH!!! c’est pour ça!! ». Ces petites scènes sont magnifiques et magistralement interprétés par les enfants : Wang Yan Shuang et Zhu Zi Nuo ont été formidable d’autant plus, que c’était ici leur premier rôle.
Nous comprenons avec ces flashback sur leur enfance que….Si ce couple possède une alchimie incroyable, une affinité défiant les obstacles, défiant les préjugés, c’est qu’ils se connaissent par coeur.
Presque. Car ils doivent maintenant apprendre à se découvrir adulte.
Et cette découverte, que nous dévorons avec gourmandise, est faite d’éclat de rire et de sensualité surprenante.
Un couple formé dès leur plus jeune âge mais qui ne s’avouait pas encore. Voilà ce que sont Lin Yang et Lu Zheng An. Malgré les quelques disputes émaillant leur parcours (quoi de plus sain et normal me diras-tu) main dans la main, ils se tiendront sous les feux de projecteurs non sans angoisse mais décidé à y faire front à deux. Je ne le dirai jamais assez, mais c’est tellement agréable un couple solide et unie, défiant le monde sans se lâcher la main. « Je pensais qu’aimer était de se tenir devant elle et être son bouclier contre le monde. Mais je viens de comprendre qu’aimer c’était avant tout, se tenir à ses côtés, main dans la main et marcher avec elle ». An An fait preuve d’une maturité incroyable pour son âge. La remarque de Cao Ling résume bien la maturité de Zheng An » On dirait que tu es le grand frère et elle, la petite soeur ».
Si jeune et pourtant si réfléchi et si sûr dans ses sentiments. Ses réparties sont intelligentes et matures. Son attitude « adulte » contraste joyeusement avec celle, plus enfantine de Lin Yang. C’était hilarant de les voir s’affronter (« flirter » dirait même laconiquement directeur Ma), de voir Lin Yang en perdre ses mots.
Leur couple fonctionne à merveille grâce à cette complicité unique. La compréhension qu’ils avaient l’un de l’autre est sans comparaison. Je craignais que cette parfaite connaissance de l’un et de l’autre allait finir par nuire au drama, rendre le tout indigeste. Cela devint un atout en leur permettant d’interagir avec naturel et avec une complicité éclatante de sincérité. Bien que connaissant le moindre petit détail l’un sur l’autre (la scène de la cicatrice témoigne de ce paradoxe entre tout savoir et ne l’avoir jamais expérimenté, une petite scène adorable par ailleurs), Lin Yang et An An n’ont jamais perdu de vue que ce qui compte, c’est l’autre. Et cela implique le respect de son partenaire, la tolérance. A chaque altercation, voir An An lever le drapeau blanc était un peu perturbant. J’avais plutôt l’habitude de personnages s’en tenant à leur opinion et le défendant bec et ongle. Zheng An est à l’opposé de cela. Il s’incline devant ce qu’elle souhaite, ne voulant ni entrer dans un conflit épuisant, ni et surtout lui causer de la peine.
Qu’elle sourit à nouveau. Qu’elle lui pardonne. Qu’elle ne soit plus fâchée.
Nous pourrions croire que cela rend An An soumis, inintéressant, loin de là. Sa façon de l’aimer se résume ainsi « ce que Lin Yang veut, Lin Yang a ». Il ne s’en cachera d’ailleurs pas, Lin Yang est sa priorité, elle est son univers, son rêve.
An An, une âme d’enfant dans le corps d’un homme. Zheng An a ce sourire mêlé d’innocence et de sensualité masculine, il est à la frontière de l’enfant et de l’homme. An An ne cessera de poursuivre Lin Yang assidûment. Je suis la première à fuir ce genre de personnage. Il n’y a rien de plus usant qu’une personne qui s’entête et refuse de se faire rejeter. C’est lourd et pathétique. An An sait ce qu’il veut et il le fait clairement comprendre au monde entier, incluant Lin Yang.
Loin d’être un « relou », il est au contraire adorable. Tout en respectant Lin Yang et en lui laissant l’espace nécessaire, il n’abandonne jamais, et sa persistance finit par payer.
Il faut noter que sa façon de flirter avec elle est un délicieux mélange d’innocence et de sensualité. Face à lui Lin Yang a peu de chance de ne pas craquer…
Lin Yang… C’est donc avec surprise que je découvre, épisode après épisode le don de cette actrice. Sierra Li a un immense talent et nous le démontre ici. Ses expressions sont tellement naturelles et spontanées que je me suis retrouvée à plusieurs reprise à rire et à me dire « oh, punaise elle est trop mimi ! ». Toutes ces fois, où elle fusille de ces regards qui mélangent incrédulité et gêne envers un An An taquin flirtant éhontément sont adorables et drôles. Le jeu de Sierra Li est subtil, savamment dosé : la moindre expression que cela soit amoureuse ou embarrassée est parfaitement interprétée.
31 ans et pourtant encore une petite fille au regard malicieux. Lin Yang est une femme devenue une adulte gardant enfouie en elle ses rêves de petite fille, n’osant pas les exprimer haut et fort. La société actuelle ne le permettant pas. Travailler étant ici, exprimé à travers sa voix, pour subvenir à des besoins primaires.
C’est ainsi qu’ An An apporte ce contraste, ce souffle dont elle a besoin afin de se libérer de ce carcan. An An a choisi de faire ce qu’il aimait. D’être lui même peu importe qu’il ait du succès ou pas. Son jeune âge y joue surement pour beaucoup dans l’insouciance que ce personnage véhicule. Et pourtant, An An possède ce mélange explosif de la fougue de la jeunesse et cette maturité qu’apporte l’âge et le vécu. Leur couple est donc faite d’une merveilleuse complicité où chacun respecte la place de l’autre. Les taquineries et les escarmouches faites de rire parsèment gaiement leur relation, rendant le tout léger et rafraichissant. Un couple solide où quiproquo et malentendu en sont exclus. Pas de dispute stérile, pas de séparation larmoyante. Un couple où l’harmonie est reine.
Des femmes fortes, des femmes prenant leur vie en main. Apportant leur lot de douleur et d’angoisse. Mais aussi des confidences et des rires.
Et ce drama regorge de femme, de femme imparfaite, de femme esseulée, de femme confrontée à leur démon, de femme qui à mes yeux ont été superbes et magnifiques dans leur façon d’appréhender la vie. D’embrasser leur choix. D’assumer leur moi.
Nous retrouvons avec Lin Yang l’éternelle célibataire mettant sa carrière professionnelle au premier plan. Le choix de Lin Yang résulte plus de ses échecs amoureux que d’une envie réelle de ne pas se marier. Nous voyons à travers son regard l’interrogation que nous pourrions nous poser sur le sens d’une vie. Ses réflexions sur cet état de fait sont pertinentes et peuvent sensiblement trouver un écho chez nous. Ses pensées sur « métro, boulot, dodo » sont une réalité pour beaucoup d’entre nous : « Il n’y a pas de passion, aucune attente et rien d’amusant. Je suis comme un robot. Chaque jour, je ne fais que me brosser les dents, me laver, manger et dormir. C’est comme si ces actions étaient programmées par un ordinateur… ». C’est ainsi que Lin Yang nous apprend qu’elle a baissé les bras, que se laisser porter par les flots étaient suffisants. Elle s’en contente et en tire une certaine force, une certaine gloire. N’est-ce pas aussi pour beaucoup d’entre nous, ce que nous affrontons chaque jour? Loin d’être une femme qui s’y complaît, elle choisi de continuer à avancer, et de ne pas s’en apitoyer.
Vient ensuite Cao Ling. Bien que durement touchée par la vie et s’enroulant dans une armure afin de se protéger émotionnellement, l’image que nous donne la scénariste est une femme sage, aux épaules solides et rassurantes. Bien que meurtrie, elle ne cédera jamais à la facilité sur la critique de l’homme. Bien que n’approuvant pas la relation de nos deux tourtereaux (la différence d’âge est selon elle un handicap), suite à son propre vécu, elle cherchera tout de même à pousser son amie vers An An, s’apercevant rapidement que sa propre histoire n’est pas l’histoire des autres. C’est un personnage que j’ai adoré (je les ai tous adoré…), sa droiture et sa loyauté sans faille couplées à l’image de la mère protégeant son enfant, ne cherchant jamais à se donner une image de ce qu’elle n’est pas lui donnait toute légitimité à sermonner son amie.
Yao Dan. La troisième des 3 copines. Et nullement la moindre. Si je devais être honnête, aucune n’avait de prévalence sur les deux autres. L’équilibre de leur amitié était extraordinaire.
L’histoire de Yan Dan semble survolée. Nous apprenons que ce personnage est marié (mari que nous ne verrons jamais, mettant ainsi l’accent sur Yao Dan et son tourment ), heureuse dans son couple mais dont la question d’avoir ou non un enfant turlupine Yao Dan, sans remettre en cause son couple, ce qui est assez étonnant. Très vite, ce problème sera résolu, avec une finalité qui peut ou non satisfaire le public (tout dépend de son opinion sur la question), évitant ainsi l’écueil d’un personnage prenant un peu trop d’ampleur de par son problème personnel. Je n’ai pas trouvé cela gênant, car Yao Dan prouve que sa réflexion est somme toute personnelle, que son couple est une affaire entre elle et son mari.
Yao Dan a été un de mes personnages favoris. Apportant un dynamisme et un humour à toute épreuve, elle est la copine qui aime faire la fête. De par sa sagacité et son soutien envers An An, elle est l’amie qui comprend rapidement, poussant en ce sens avec drôlerie la relation de Zheng An et Lin Yang. Elle est aussi le personnage qui m’a fait pleurer presque comme une fontaine.
La scène où elle découvre l’enfant de Cao Ling….a été incroyable. Je m’attendais bien sur à une émouvante image, un peu comme des retrouvailles.
Mais jamais à cela. Son regard débordant d’amour. Son expression profonde, sincère a eu raison de ma carapace (après « One and Only » j’avais pourtant monté de niveau ma défense de +20!), punaise sa réaction était tellement inattendue…
Je n’ai jamais jusqu’à présent eu de coup de coeur pour une bande de copine. Des bromances, oui définitivement, comme le plus génial des duo, « Chief Kim« . Mais des copines? Never.
Avec « My fated Boy« , c’est fait. Le trio de copine le plus drôle et le plus soudé que j’ai pu voir.
Les deux soeurs Li Tian et Li Miao Miao sortent elles aussi des sentiers battus. Les premiers épisodes promettaient une rivale enfantine, une enfant gâtée, obtus d’esprit et n’hésitant pas à user de moult subterfuges sournois afin d’obtenir les faveurs de l’être aimé. Mais aussi. Une soeur aînée prête à se débarrasser d’une « rivale » trop proche de son époux, crainte somme toute humaine, par le biais de ladite petite soeur.
A mon grand étonnement (et ce drama en regorge), rien, absolument, de tout cela. Li Tian, camarade de classe de An An et éperdument amoureuse de ce dernier, a bien commencé avec quelques attaques classiques mais la « chute » de son échec et surtout l’après-échec m’ont prise au dépourvu. J’en suis venue peu à peu à aimer ce personnage qui, manquant de maturité au départ, progresse rapidement et en devient une jeune fille prête à prendre sa vie en main et à avancer la tête haute (ne serait-ce que son changement de poste au travail et son désir de ne pas perdre la face étaient à mon sens remarquable, peu de son âge aurait pu le faire, et tout cela avec le sourire, certes forcé, mais tout de même..).
Son chagrin d’amour, une fois n’est pas coutume, m’a réellement touchée. Sa peine brise le coeur et on en vient à lui souhaiter de se relever et d’être sincèrement heureuse. Elle le mérite amplement.
Son évolution se fait notamment grâce à sa soeur, Li Miao Miao. Si j’ai été surprise de l’évolution de Li Tian, Li Miao Miao m’a encore plus déstabilisée. Je m’attendais à un personnage baignant dans l’aisance, prête à défendre bec et ongle son morceau de viande. Elle fut tout le contraire. Son soutien et la compassion envers Li Tian étaient inspirants. Ses conseils avisés côtoyaient des propos de grande sagesse. Pas une seule fois, elle ne poussera sa soeur vers une voie dangereuse préférant prendre le parti de lui faire comprendre l’absurdité de son obsession. Ce qui m’a le plus épatée, c’est aussi son sens de l’intégrité. Lors de sa discussion avec LinYang, non seulement, Miao Miao reconnait ses angoisses le plus simplement du monde, son analyse et la conclusion de sa réflexion qu’elle fait partager sans aucune honte à Lin Yang sont d’une intelligence aiguisée. Il est souvent difficile de faire amende honorable pour une chose que l’on a faite, il est encore plus difficile de le faire pour une pensée que l’on a eu et qui n’avait nulle besoin d’être au final dite.
Si les femmes sont à l’honneur dans ce drama, les hommes n’en brillent pas moins par leur charisme. Et c’est aussi ce qui fait la force de « My Fated Boy« . Des personnages hauts en couleurs, pourfendant les clichés avec brio et dépoussiérant avec maestro ce qui a déjà été vu et revu.
Directeur Ma Le. Première pensée lors du premier épisode : une coupe de cheveux bizarre, a l’air un peu bête. Hum… l’idiot de service… Alors oui, il est l’idiot de service. Mais quel idiot de service! les mots de la mère de Cao Lin lui correspondent parfaitement : « cela me va s’il est un peu stupide. Plus ils sont stupides, plus ils sont gentils ». Se faisant manipuler de A à Z par An An (nous apportant par là-même des scènes hilarantes), Ma Le n’en apporte pas moins un soutien inconditionnel à son poulain (bien qu’il ait peur de Lin Yang haha) jusqu’à remettre en jeu sa propre carrière professionnelle. Dévoué et d’un coeur sincère, il est impossible de ne pas l’aimer. D’ailleurs, Zhou Xiao Chuan est tout sauf un bellâtre fade, l’acteur est G*D* SEXY….Alors bravo pour m’avoir fait croire que Ma Le était un type loufoque et niais à la vestimentaire rétro. Zhou Xiao Chuan a l’art de jouer les personnages géniaux nous faisant mourir de rire comme dans « Douluo Continent » où il campait le grand père de Rong Rong.
Hua Ye Ting a apporté aussi son petit lot de surprise. PDG de l’entreprise où travaille Lin Yang, il est aussi l’époux de Miao Miao. Je ne m’attendais pas à tant de sagesse de sa part, de bon sens. La bienveillance et la bonté transpirait à chacune de ses paroles, de son attitude. Peu présent, certes, mais irradiant le peu de fois où il interagit avec Lin Yang ou les deux soeurs Lin.
Quant à Xie Nan Ke, loin d’être le rival attendu, il affiche ici l’image de l’amoureux délaissé qui tergiverse une fois de trop. C’est donc avec le reflet de ses actions, passé et présent, que Lin Yang prend conscience petit à petit qu’elle ne devrait pas elle aussi laisser les doutes et hésitations prendre le pas et l’y noyer.
Ce drama a été et restera un de mes coups de coeurs les plus forts. L’humour omniprésent côtoie avec délice une romance pétillante et une amitié formidable. J’entend d’ici les « oui, mais dans la réalité, ce n’est pas tout à fait comme cela… », je dirai, qui n’en a cure?
Souvent épuisée par la vie quotidienne et croulant sous les nombreuses taches que je m’impute pourtant par choix, j’ai besoin de voir plus souvent un monde fait d’amour, de respect, de rire et d’espièglerie.
Je considère cela comme un vaccin anti-déprime pour l’hiver à venir. A renouveler sans modération.

Une bonne surprise...
My Fated Boy est une bonne surprise dans le genre de la romance moderne. Malgré ses quelques clichés, ils ne sont jamais usés jusqu'au bout permettant ainsi de les apprécier.L'intrigue est simple, mais a le mérite d'être logique jusqu'au bout. On retrouve quelques longueurs et indécisions des personnages, mais cela permet d'apporter plus de concret aux relations. Le jeu du chat et de la souris reste mignon et parfaitement géré.
Le casting tant principal que secondaire est très bon. D'ailleurs, chacun possède un rôle et ne sont pas bêtement relayés aux scènes inutiles.
L'alchimie des leads principaux est bonne. Lu Zheng Ah est comme un rayon de soleil, tandis que Lin Yang reste plus dans la neutralité (ou l'ivresse, parfois). Bien qu'on ne s'éloigne pas complètement des codes habituels du c-drama, on nous épargne les grands maux de ce genre de ces dernières années (clichés, personnages mal habillés...).
Globalement, My Fated Boy possède ce petit côté addictif avec sa touche de skinship mignonne. Loin de révolutionner le genre, le drama a le mérite d'être bien réalisé et de passer un bon moment.

Un romance lindo de ver
Es un bonito noona love con una historia de amor que empieza desde antes de nacer pero que se tomo su tiempo hasta llegar al punto donde termino.Personalmente disfrute muchísimo este drama, era justo lo que quería ver y no me decepciono ni me desagrado nada, todos los personajes fueron entrañables, bien llevados y con una actuación acorde a lo que el drama pedía.
Me encanto la química que había entre el ML y la FL*, las escenas de ellos juntos sin duda son demasiado bonitas hasta el punto de querer un amor así de maravilloso.
La música fue ideal para todas las situaciones en las que se agregaron al drama y la canción aparentemente cantada por el ML cuando firma con la discográfica es pegadiza .
* La FL, ella es mayor pero es esa chica mayor que creció poniéndose esa armadura para que nadie la lastime, siendo independiente y no sabiendo dejar q otros la ayuden y se preocupen por ella pero q quiere querer, quiere confiar y tener alguien que la apoye . me pareció el mejor personaje con diferencia de este drama, supo demostrar perfectamente el tipo de mujer que pedía su papel y ame todos sus momentos tiernos ( no les parece que tiene un parecido a winter de aespa?)
En fin, este es un drama con un amor bonito, muchos momentos de reflexión y que te deja con satisfecho al terminarlo
