A masterful disappointment
I started this off with high hopes because I am a huge fan of both the main leads. The problem lies within the script , it’s like the writer couldn’t make up his mind of what direction he wanted the characters to go . A story that is so simple is played out for no reason. One minute he writes the characters as having common sense the next it’s like they are completely clueless. Female lead making stupid decision like jumping off a cliff again like her twin sister did for no damn reason. The side characters might as well not have been in the show cause they have no chemistry at all they’re just there to be there and take up time. The writer tried so hard to make the main leads look like star crossed lovers throwing in these ridiculous simple ass problems trying to make them seem like it’s a big deal when it is not . The female villain just ridiculous .. the second male lead handsome as he is just was just there to be there. The drama tried to bring mystery and romance to the drama but all we get is a few awkward smiles and shy hand holding with music playing in the background , it came off cringy and annoying instead of romantic cause soon as that happen here come another stupid excuse why they can’t be together, oh and don’t get me started on the lackluster “ I’m leaving and never gonna see you again “ scenes and yes I said scenes cause there is a ridiculous amount of that only for them to surprisingly didn’t leave cause they love each other so much … okay I’m done I’m sorry but all the waiting and the time I spent on this drama has made me vexed !Was this review helpful to you?

Bad Storyline
Poor storyline when twin switch identity by fall to the river from cliff in same time and place, fall in love with who that main reason for her twin sister dead , loss memories when fall in river, one of twin is evil person although rise from good family condition,main male characters describe to perfect person although he failure to keep his own wife safe and decide to marry concubine with silly reason that not like smart guy and other storyline that too god to be true. I stop watch about in episode 18 or 20 and continue watch by skip because to boring that writer just make drama more longer. By this storyline became to 38 episode are to waste time.Was this review helpful to you?
This or that?
Is it a comedy or romance or an action thriller? Lol.. The things I did not fancy were the dubbed voices, the fake laughing and the editing of scenes which were rather disjointed.I think the writers wanted to include all sorts into one, but it didn’t jive very well. The humour was not really funny; the actors were trying to act cute and all but it also fell flat. Some reviewers didn’t like the storyline but I thought it was interesting. Twins separated as babies, given to adoptive fathers, grew up very differently.

As average as it gets
A typical tropey drama with a mix of good and bad moments.The drama started off nicely and I enjoyed seeing them fall in love. The main couple acted well and looked good together although their chemistry was a bit lacking. There were plot holes throughout and while I managed to ignore some, others were too incredulous and I started getting disconnected from the drama.
I appreciate that the ending was not the typical rushed type and there was a sweet albeit predictable twist to tug at your heart strings.
Some plot holes towards the end of this drama that made me laugh:
1. During a confrontation on an open area, the ML and his soldiers managed to suddenly surround the bad guys in a blink of an eye without the bad guys seeing them coming… it was an open area…
2. The FL fell off a cliff and got washed to shore and looked like she hurt her leg. Next scene shows her running like she doesn’t have any injuries…
3. FL’s foster father was on a ship at sea and wondering if the FL lead survived the fall from the cliff and in walks the FL much to his joy and my confusion… the ship was at sea… how did she come on board without anyone noticing? Nope, she didn’t swim as she was not wet.
4. The ML‘s cousin is heavily pregnant and is supported by her husband when she walks but in the next moment, she joins her husband and the others in jumping and prancing around the main couple throwing petals in the air to celebrate their union :D

Worst story everything sucks with the story
Actually I am very lazy to write reviews but after watching this drama i really want to scold the writer very badly just to give review this i created account in mydramalist. Don't watch this drama if you hate falling sister with same man the writer kill one of the sister beginning and he tried very much to show that she is devil character deserve to die and another sister your are funny character although the ML responsible for her elder sister death you have forgive him because you love him and finally you both got married 😡 i really can't find words to scold the writerWas this review helpful to you?

2. I liked the main leads from their previous projects. *Peng Xioa Ran from Goodbye, Princess and Jun Jiu Ling
*Ding Yu Xi from The Romance of Tiger and Rose and Intense Love
However, I got disappointed. The plot in the drama was entirely different from the novel. I know it can't really be exactly the same as the original novel has a transmigration plotline BUT this was 99.9% different, only the characters' names are the same.
If you've read the novel, don't watch. If you have not read the novel, then you could probably watch to pass time. Though still, don't expect too much. I barely hang on because of the main leads. Their acting was not bad but the plot and the script dragged them down.

Good/Evil twin; Amnesia; First Love; and many more tropes await you....enjoy
This was quite engaging through the first three episodes but then it lost me once the FL's character started acting like an idiot. In addition, the dialogue and plot lacked depth. The writers really dropped the ball on this because even with all the tropes being crammed into the series, it still had so much potential if only the characters didn't keep making illogical decisions. Typical C-drama about a twin sister and her frog prince
I endured the show until the last episode so that I can write a review objectively. I don't like ML both appearance and personality wise.The opening scene started with ML chasing his wife and forced her to jump off the cliff. Later, he had his bodyguard fetched her from the lake. The woman he brought back was the wife's twin sister. She lost her memories after drowning..
ML was a high-ranking officer known for his beauty and righteousness. I cannot force myself to believe he was the most handsome man in the land. I mean the actor doesn't live up to the title.
His wife, the older twin sister, was devoted to him and her love turned into jealousy, obsession, and hatred. She was impulsive and vicious (an excuse to kill her off the screen without pitying her). ML purposely shamed her in front of the crowds by letting her married a rooster. I couldn't find myself to even like him even one bit.
ML married a mistress with the most stupid reason. He held a ceremony and attended it unlike when it was his wife's wedding ceremony. This made me hate the ML even more.
After the twin sister woke up, he forced her to sign a confession letter for attempting murder of his mistress. He hadn't finished investigating the incident but already decided that his wife was the culprit. After his bodyguard came back with the evidences, he learnt that his mistress stabbed herself. He didn't even try to clear his wife's name and just brushed it off as a trivial thing. What a prick.
Fl supposed to be the total opposite of her twin sister. She was kind, generous, intelligent, and cheerful. The plot was inconsistent making her an idiot rather than a smart woman. The most annoying about FL and ML were self-pity. They acted like they were wrong and felt bad for the late twin sister but they didn't even hold a proper burial for her nor go to her grave and ask for forgiveness (ML). FL didn't care about ML was her brother in law. She just desired him like the rest of the women in the land.

Worth Watching for Ding Yuxi and Peng Xiaoran’s Chemistry, But One of My So-So Watches
This drama started very strong for me—I was easily absorbed into the storyline, loved the characters, and had very little to criticize, aside from the second lead (she played the petty trope). As the story progressed and the setting moved outside the capital, shifting narratives, the plot began to meander and fizzle out for me.I still loved the characters and their antics despite the story, and the dynamics and dialogue between the lead roles were perfect for my taste. I thought they embodied their characters beautifully, and at times they even made me cackle. However, the side arcs and minor character storylines didn’t quite land for me. The story eventually found its footing again… sort of… but it never fully recaptured the feel I had at the beginning. Some of the twists and conclusions were interesting to watch unfold, yet overall it still wasn’t as strong as its opening stretch. In the end, I’d say this was an okay watch, but I’m still glad I finished it—especially for the chance to see Ding Yuxi and Peng Xiaoran on screen. I hope they star in another drama as co-leads, as I thought that they had great on-screen chemistry. For me, they felt natural together, and their acting styles complement as well.

SLOW. need beer script writers
One of my favorite male leads. Was really disappointed in this story. It was very slow and could have been less episodes to get the point across.Early on the Male leads knew one of his wives was trouble but never followed up and had someone keep an eye on her. Then later he seems to have forgotten all about her evil side.
The female lead drives me nuts with her impulsive behavior and stupid decisions. she is like a child.
The story line stagnates for several episodes and at episode 20 still waiting for it to pick up and make sense.
The person who did the captions needs to go back and review. there has to be a more realistic word other than “piss off” for that era that makes sense in today’s language. it just jars you when reading it as it doesn’t fit

"春闺梦里人" - "Romance of a Twin Flower"
A well written drama and well performed by all the actors and actresses, especially the main characters, but also the others have made this drama a complete success.The director and the screenwriters should be proud for having be able to create such story, in fact the story is so realistic and beautiful. The dialogues are refined and everything is done with passion, love and dedication. The watchers cannot make any expectations about what will happen.
The composer has written instrumental musics and songs that are the best that i ever heard. It seems that they have done this romatic drama series beginning from the songs.

Hate love relationship
I'm all for hate to love stories. I enjoy the banters between the main characters. The FL acting feels so...modern, if that makes sense? I feel like much of her gestures and facial expressions are something that I would do too if I was given the same lines and situations. She is an unguarded but self-reliant woman, nothing annoyingly weak. He is caught off guard with his wife's drastic change of character and needs to step up his trick game to face this new personality. Naturally some scenes are silly and many loopholes but so far I really enjoy this show. I have watched 11 episodes non stop and now I have to go to sleep, unfortunately.Was this review helpful to you?
