A woman goes on a blind date disguised as her best friend only to learn the man is the CEO of her workplace. How will she keep her identity hidden when he proposes a contractual marriage?The love story of this chaotic duo is both hilarious and heartwarming. Filled with crazy antics to keep the secret from being exposed plus happy-dance inspiring scenes of the Leads (and co-leads!) claiming and protecting one another, this drama definitely delivers a fun watch.
I’m not a fan of the intentionally deceiving people about your identity trope, but I still quite enjoyed this show. The cast does a great job portraying their characters and all the things they’re going through. Plus, there’s amazing chemistry between the four main people. Both sets are total friendship goals AND couple goals! 💖 I loved how there wasn’t any backstabbing or drama trauma between the four. They had each others backs and were 💯 loyal and true. And they took those same characteristics into their romantic relationships.
I loved the interactions between both couples and how they could all be so different yet complement each other so perfectly. They found strength and healing with one another and I think that’s such a beautiful testament to the power of love. And I really loved how these independent, successful, hard-working adults were still really playful and innocent individuals. I think it’s a great message that we don’t have to become harsh and unfeeling to survive in this world. Kindness is a strength in and of itself 🙂

The casting was exceptional, with actors perfectly embodying their roles. However, the main couple lacked significant chemistry, and their romantic scenes could have benefited from more realistic tension and enhanced cinematography.
Conversely, the second couple garnered widespread praise for their superior chemistry, compelling storyline, and charming dynamic, which many fans found more engaging.
Ultimately, "Business Proposal" succeeded as a romantic comedy, skillfully balancing intense emotional moments with iconic and humorous scenes.

a refreshing take on old tropes
are you tired of the old cliche of rich man poor woman and its sexist overtones? me fucking too.hence my reluctance to start another CEO x bubbly employee drama. is it trope-y? yes, but it handles these tropes with respect for the characters that ifound refreshing and fun. the most obvious case is the FL, who instead of being a pathetic dormat clinging to her boss personally and professionally, is a charismatic, hard-working, unapologetically sexy woman. she's built a strong frienship with the second lead and has a stable family unit. in other words, a whole world before ML even enters the picture. add to this that Sojeong is INSANELY talented. you have a recipe for cute rimance that you can rewatch guit free
the negatives:
-the 2nd couple kiss while being black out drunk. she was too inebriated to give consent. stop this shit
-no representation. yeah i know it's a kdrama but it's a negative in any medium
-some moments were dragged out way beyond the comedy
-mildly possesive and entitled male lead.
-the actor can't act. sorry. he is going to ruin another season of Dr Romantic
-not enough 2nd couple, i needed a lot more, they were cute and mature and sexy

the first two episodes were good. this drama, as many, is full of cliches but it seemed nevertheless enjoyable. the male protagonist is the "cool cold hearted business guy" but he drops the act right at the end of the second episode. by the third one he was already in love. his behaviors are shown to be "romantic" but If you take away the romantic music, they appear to be controlling and frankly "stalking" like.the main protagonist was endearing.
the should have explored more the "business side" of the deal, but as I said, they were already in love after 3 episodes. a missed opportunity.
as many Korean drama they drag it a bit too long and put a lot of plot "twist" at the very end.
overall it is an enjoyable Rom com but nothing to write home about.

It was a great show BUT IT TOOK THEM 9 EPs TO GET TOGETHER LIKE WTHH but the story line was amazing. I wasn't a big fan of music, but the storyline, the acting casting, everything—it was fabulous. I watched this 3–4 times. Highly recommended! If you are into romantic dramaslittle to no intercourse (which is good!)scenes, but the second couple had it twice.

it's funny & heartfelt
...I loved & enjoyed 11 episosodes very much!What made me not to give 10 Points is on one hand the disappointing Ending.
There was no effort in doing all the figures justice and end it correctly & with full closure.
And on the other hand, the fact, that the script writers didn't paid attention to let Cha Seong Hoon say:
"nothing happend last night because you were so drunk" and really made nothing happen, because that caught my attention negatively unfortunately too. Or was it a translation mistake?
But overall, it was funny, thoughtfull, caring and heartwarming.

It was an adaptation only until the last few episodes, then it became screenwriter's ego.
While this is a great drama I can't rate this higher that 8.0. My main problem is deviation from source material.Story, Acting, Cinematography, OST everything is perfect and delivers to the genre beautifully. The problem arises in the last few episodes where the writers decided to deviate from original webtoon story and forcefully push some kdrama tropes into narrative which neither were fun to watch not did they fit with characterization established earlier.
1. There was no long separation trope in original webtoon, that was a kdrama only screenwriter fantasy,
2. There was no rich family poor family drama created by grandfather in original webtoon, that was again a kdrama only screenwriter fantasy. He was, on the contrary, the most ardent supporter of their relationship in webtoon.
Thankfully overall story and ending, though adulterated, is still quite good. However, I can't excuse the fact that a portion of source material was changed into something formulaic due to unknown reasons.
When screenwriters deviate from original writer's works it feels like a disrespect towards the original source material. Its understandable the need for deviation when the source material has problems in it but when the source material is a hit in itself, its a just sad attempt by the screenwriters to establish that they know better which they definitely don't.
That's my problem and that's why I rate this kdrama which could easily have a been a 9/10 only 8/10.

Differently good from the webtoon
Having read the webtoon before the drama was released I had my own expectations, some were met and some not. But I wasn't disappointed by those that weren't met as they put other elements that weren't there in the webtoon.This is a classic rom-com kdrama. If you're not a fan of the genre it's totally okay and you'll probably not be a fan of all the clichés in it.
I however like clichés and I like it even more when the comedy is based on those clichés. The characters as well as the viewers know that some things don't make sense and aren't meant to be taken seriously. Your reaction to a lot of the clichés will be to laugh at how ridiculous they sound/appear.
That's also the beauty of this drama, it's light-hearted, funny and sweet. It's easy to tell this is a rom-com as it's full of unrealistic situations. It's an easy watch if you like the genre.

The definition of feel good
Business Proposal succeeds in creating a story that can leave you happy, excited, sad, confused, and worried all at the same time, yet somehow, when it’s all over, hapiness is what sticks with you. I don’t think that comes from the story being particularly groundbreaking or profound. It comes from the characters. Business Proposal creates a cast of people that are just genuinely fun to spend time with, and I think that’s ultimately the biggest reason the show works as well as it does.Kim Sejeong does an absolutely amazing job as Shin Ha-ri. I believe you need the perfect person to pull off a character like this, because of Shin Ha-ri’s personality. She’s fun, chaotic, and obviously extremely energetic, but she’s also surprisingly rational and grounded. That combination could very easily become annoying or feel overly exaggerated, but Kim Sejeong makes it feel completely natural. Even when Ha-ri is put into completely ridiculous situations, she still feels like an actual person reacting to them.
Obviously, though, I can’t talk about the characters without talking about the side couple. Young-seo and Sung-hoon are gen the best side couple I’ve ever seen. If they were the main couple of their own drama, I’d probably be calling it one of my favorite romances. Their chemistry is absolutely unmatched, but I think there’s a more specific reason their relationship works so well for me: it feels incredibly natural and physical.
And I don’t just mean physical in a sexual way. You can actually feel that these are two people who want to be around each other. There’s affection in the way they interact, the way they touch each other, the way they react to each other, and just how comfortable they eventually become together. Their relationship feels less like I’m watching two characters who have been designated as the romantic couple and more like I’m watching two people who genuinely fell for each other.
Sung-hoon is also the type of male lead I wish romances would give us more often. One of my biggest problems with romance in general is the overly serious, stoic male lead. Maybe part of that is because I’m a guy, but I’ve never really understood the appeal of the dude who is supposed to seem cool because he’s constantly nonchalant and barely expresses himself. I see a similar problem all the time in romance anime, just in a slightly different form, where the male protagonist is this laid-back, almost blank character who seems deliberately designed so the male audience can easily put themselves in his shoes.
Obviously, that isn’t exactly what Business Proposal is doing with Tae-moo, but I still feel some of that disconnect with him. Ha-ri and Tae-moo are cute together, and I absolutely enjoy their relationship, but their personalities don’t always bounce off each other in a way that feels completely natural to me. Ha-ri is incredibly expressive, energetic, and human, while Tae-moo sometimes feels like he’s occupying the role of the serious, important male lead rather than simply existing as a person.
There are moments where that exterior breaks down and we get to see how caring Tae-moo actually is, and those are usually the moments when I like him the most. I just wish the show gave us more of that. I don’t need the guy in a romance to constantly be stoic, cool, and emotionally untouchable. As a guy, that archetype gets exhausting. Being caring, affectionate, expressive, or vulnerable doesn’t make a male character less attractive or less masculine. If anything, it makes the relationship considerably easier for me to believe.
That’s where Sung-hoon works so much better for me. He feels more natural and openly caring while still being a cool character. Young-seo and Sung-hoon’s personalities actually play off each other, and neither one feels like they have to completely change who they are for the relationship to work. There’s a warmth between them that I sometimes feel is missing from the main couple.
But even with that criticism, I still love Business Proposal, and I think that says a lot about what the show does right. The main romance doesn’t have to carry the entire thing because the show creates an entire cast of people I actually care about. I’m happy watching Ha-ri. I’m happy watching the side couple. I’m happy watching her coworkers. The show can move away from its main relationship and I don’t immediately start waiting for it to cut back.
And I think that gets to what Business Proposal ultimately is for me. You don’t need to come out of it having learned some profound lesson about life. Not every story needs to have some deeper message, and Business Proposal doesn’t need one to justify its existence. You don’t finish it thinking about what the writers were trying to teach you. You finish it remembering how much fun you had with these characters.
Sometimes that’s all a show needs to accomplish. Business Proposal gave me a group of characters I loved spending time with, relationships I genuinely wanted to watch, moments that made me laugh, moments that made me worried, and a romance that, even with its flaws, left me happy.
And I think that’s all that matters.

dropped this drama
the drama was funny, sweet, light, honestly not a bad drama but i give up after just 5/6 episodes, it's giving me major headache as the story line just kept circling around and nothing new or out of the ordinary. I never actually finished watching k drama like from when it aired to it's end even when i tried my hardest to do so i just can't, either got bored mid way oor dying just to wait uploads once every week, sometimes they would actually like actually not even joking postponed it until next week, like wth? i only got 1 episode per week and now u postponed it? yeah dead while waiting for it to update. Yeah it was only 12 episode and once it released it's 1++ hour long, to me i can't wait that long especially when they leave you a cliffhanger!!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Cliche's Galore But Enjoyable
I watched this b/c someone I like recommended it to me and I needed a light, fun, not to serious romcom. Especially after some of the stuff I've been watching lately! Looking at you Mr. Plankton!!Even with the cliche's galore, I still found the series very enjoyable. The cast was great as well. I have never seen the main leads in anything but I really loved all 4 leads and I thought the comedy was silly fun. There was a lot of meta silliness too with the show within a show the side characters were watching. I thought the lie about the relationship went on a bit too long and I thought Young Seo SFL was quite obnoxious never letting Sung Hoon explain things.

Repetitive but nice Same clichés with same predictive situations
But inspite of that you re going to enjoy
I didn't enjoy Ahn seop acting much
First time to watch him
I felt his face expression didn't fit the role well
And his acting was weak
In the contrary the 2nd ML and both FL's were strong in their acting
I liked Kim Min Gue soooo much
He was very cute and capable
I was interested more in second main leads
The story was incomplete in my opinion
They cut it suddenly with stupid time jump
And the end was too rush
For the first time I had to say a drama needs more episodes
It should be 14
Even when they made that stupid time jump they didn't explain much
they came cross headlines to end the story soon as much as they can

The bed scene for main leads wasn't in it's place at all
It was light and nice
