This series could have been so much better but was unfortunately disappointing
This series could have been so much better but was unfortunately disappointing. Very long, drawn out and slow paced...... I personally do not understand why it was produced this way but it must be due to the screenwriter, as the Producer has produced a number of very good shows such as Mysterious Lotus Casebook. It could have been done in at least 24 episodes to have a better flow and keep the viewer wanting more. I wanted to skip / fast forward at times but watched with eng subs so it wasn't doable. The actors did a good job and Bai Lu and Dylan Wang did not disappoint. Their chemistry was on point and affection believable. The side couples also did well and their storyline was better than the Main couple's. The main couple's storyline was at times clouded by clichés and downright childish misunderstandings and miscommunication.
Story had flaws and its too tedious to go through everything.
Ost wasn't memorable
Production and Visual FX : 8

Dylan Wang definitely fits the Overbearing CEO characters!
This story is quite nice to watch. It is even better watching Dylan Wang play, again, an overbearing CEO. I think that he really fits this type of character role. Overall, I find this story / series not bad. An overbearing CEO and a witty, funny and intelligent reporter. Technically, the story revolves around 4 couples, but the series mainly highlights on the main couple, Dylan Wang and Bai Lu. From the first accidental meeting to how they fell in love, have their misunderstandings and eventually the happy ending (which you need to watch the special episode for). Amazingly, they did this for the main 3 couples of this series. Would have been awesome if they included more about the 4th elderly couple. However, both the male and female lead did a remarkable job in bringing their characters to life. Bai Lu, with her wittiness and humor is indeed very refreshing and fun to watch, while Dylan Wang with the expressionless Overbearing CEO attitude is also a very interesting character. I would say that the entire casts for this series really did a good job in breathing life into their characters and bringing this series to life. The soundtrack for this series is awesome. It is one of those rare series that has so many songs, 11 in total, that is so nice and amazing to listen to. A great job in pairing the songs to this series.
Re-watch value, well, I would say depend on how you like the series after watching it for the first time. I did watch it the 2nd time, to catch glances on scenes that I might have missed out while binging for the first time.

At the end of the 36th episode, the segment suggests an ending for all three couples in the drama and not completely ending the drama. I suggest watching the special episode to see the true ending.

Light-hearted, fun and absolutely rewatchable Rom Com!
This is such a cute and easy-to-watch romcom — light-hearted, fun, and absolutely rewatchable. I genuinely fell in love with it! Sure, there are a few moments that could’ve been better, but hey, every show has room for improvement, right?I actually came to this drama after watching Dylan in Love Between Fairy and Devil, and I have to say — I really enjoyed seeing him here. He brought a touch of DFQC’s badass energy but toned it down perfectly for a modern-day setting. It was such a nice dose of Dylan’s charm in a different role.
And of course, I’ve always been a fan of Bai Lu. Her performance here is solid as ever — confident, strong, and graceful. While I did miss the sweet chemistry between Dylan and Esther (from LBFAD), I think it’s important to remember that the dynamics are totally different. Bai Lu’s character is a modern, independent woman, while Esther’s Orchid was more whimsical and vulnerable — both equally lovable in their own ways.
All in all, I loved this drama. ? Don’t let the noise or mixed reviews stop you — give it a try and enjoy it for the heartwarming story it is!

Its beautiful and loved the romance between the ML and FL.
Only for Love delivers a touching story that combines modern romance with themes of ambition, and emotional resilience. The central love story is well-written, and the chemistry between the leads feels natural and heartfelt. The show succeeds in portraying the emotional struggles of balancing career and personal relationships, which makes the characters relatable and engaging. The best things here are it has all, family, love, office romance (though it can't be real). It's a kind of rom com. It is engaging too.Was this review helpful to you?

Great story, great chemistry
Bai Lu and Dylan Wang have great chemistry in a well rounded plot that starts off with a slow burn but delivers a great story.FL is a financial reporter that is determined to get an interview with ML who is elusive and reluctant to be interviewed. After a while there is an undercurrent of mutual interest that morphs into something more.
Both actors really bring their characters to life in a believable way and their love story is supplemented by great acting from the other main and support actors. As their characters grow together they bring out the best in each . Sheis fun yet dedicated and he is powerful yet playful
There is plenty of genuine and powerful emotion but this what I’ve come to expect from Bai Lu as she definitely makes whoever she acts opposite bring out their a-game

So entertaining Office romcom drama.
Only For Love is about a beautiful and smart but rather quirky reporter, Zheng Shuyi (Bai Lu), and a hotshot mysterious young CEO, Shi Yan (Dylan Wang), who requests to be interviewed by Shuyi to publicize the vision of his venture capital company to help startups achieve their full potential. Shuyi has just caught her boyfriend cheating on her with a girl she mistook for Shi Yan's niece. Her boyfriend breaks up with her for the girl who promised to help him with his career. With her pride shaken, Shuyi decides to flirt with Shi Yan, seemingly to get back at her ex-boyfriend and to allow her to conduct a series of interviews with the much sought after bachelor CEO. Their constant meetings lead to romance. But what would Shi Yan feel when he knows the truth about Shuyi's reasons for pursuing him? Shuyi is not the usual type of female lead in Chinese dramas. She is brilliant when it comes to work. Was this review helpful to you?
