Dylan Wang definitely fits the Overbearing CEO characters!
This story is quite nice to watch. It is even better watching Dylan Wang play, again, an overbearing CEO. I think that he really fits this type of character role. Overall, I find this story / series not bad. An overbearing CEO and a witty, funny and intelligent reporter. Technically, the story revolves around 4 couples, but the series mainly highlights on the main couple, Dylan Wang and Bai Lu. From the first accidental meeting to how they fell in love, have their misunderstandings and eventually the happy ending (which you need to watch the special episode for). Amazingly, they did this for the main 3 couples of this series. Would have been awesome if they included more about the 4th elderly couple. However, both the male and female lead did a remarkable job in bringing their characters to life. Bai Lu, with her wittiness and humor is indeed very refreshing and fun to watch, while Dylan Wang with the expressionless Overbearing CEO attitude is also a very interesting character. I would say that the entire casts for this series really did a good job in breathing life into their characters and bringing this series to life. The soundtrack for this series is awesome. It is one of those rare series that has so many songs, 11 in total, that is so nice and amazing to listen to. A great job in pairing the songs to this series.
Re-watch value, well, I would say depend on how you like the series after watching it for the first time. I did watch it the 2nd time, to catch glances on scenes that I might have missed out while binging for the first time.

Addictive drama with flaws
Although it was very addictive all the way through and carried itself well, there were many frustrating moments with phone interruptions, lack of communication and misunderstandings which were not too bad but these were used as weak plot points repeatedly and made the show longer than necessary. The acting was very well done and there are some lovely romance scenes as well which were very enjoyable. I love the female lead and her other works, she is really great.Loved the second and third couple more than the main coupleWas this review helpful to you?
At the end of the 36th episode, the segment suggests an ending for all three couples in the drama and not completely ending the drama. I suggest watching the special episode to see the true ending.

I'm pleased to note...
I'm pleased to note that the drama is quite realistic in its portrayals of the young, ambitious CEO, professor, and assistant. They are highly educated and physically fit, with a desire to explore and implement new technologies, even relying on intuition. Given the country's successful economic development, it's likely this generation of leaders is working in big business. The drama depicts a company engaged in investment, the nuances of the work, the risks, and the betrayal of specialists who leave the company during difficult times. CEO Shi Yan created this company after leaving the family business and is forced to report to the elders and assume responsibility. I understood the business world because of my work, but if someone unfamiliar with it is not, I'm afraid the drama will seem boring. The journalists' work, however, was interesting; there was much new learning, but there was also some envy and backstabbing. The supporting couples are each engaging in their own way and have their place in the drama, but the actors failed to outshine the lead couple. The drama's theme of friendship between the male leads is vibrant, as are the conversations they have at meetings, their support for each other, and the jokes themselves. The lead actors are a whole other story. Dylan is perfect as the CEO. He's slender, handsome, and not overly strong, but those kinds of actors often don't look convincing in such roles. Dylan, however, is amazing. He doesn't just read the script, he thinks and translates those thoughts onto the screen. His facial expressions help add emotion to the character. Dylan has the artistry and can surface, sometimes hidden behind sarcasm and sharp remarks in his verbal exchanges with Bai Lu's character. The actress is incredibly beautiful and delivers a unique performance, creating a harmonious couple in love. Anyone who enters this world of elegant everyday life and unique charm will be left with a lasting, pleasant aftertaste and a desire to watch again and again. Was this review helpful to you?

Light-hearted, fun and absolutely rewatchable Rom Com!
This is such a cute and easy-to-watch romcom — light-hearted, fun, and absolutely rewatchable. I genuinely fell in love with it! Sure, there are a few moments that could’ve been better, but hey, every show has room for improvement, right?I actually came to this drama after watching Dylan in Love Between Fairy and Devil, and I have to say — I really enjoyed seeing him here. He brought a touch of DFQC’s badass energy but toned it down perfectly for a modern-day setting. It was such a nice dose of Dylan’s charm in a different role.
And of course, I’ve always been a fan of Bai Lu. Her performance here is solid as ever — confident, strong, and graceful. While I did miss the sweet chemistry between Dylan and Esther (from LBFAD), I think it’s important to remember that the dynamics are totally different. Bai Lu’s character is a modern, independent woman, while Esther’s Orchid was more whimsical and vulnerable — both equally lovable in their own ways.
All in all, I loved this drama. ? Don’t let the noise or mixed reviews stop you — give it a try and enjoy it for the heartwarming story it is!

Its beautiful and loved the romance between the ML and FL.
Only for Love delivers a touching story that combines modern romance with themes of ambition, and emotional resilience. The central love story is well-written, and the chemistry between the leads feels natural and heartfelt. The show succeeds in portraying the emotional struggles of balancing career and personal relationships, which makes the characters relatable and engaging. The best things here are it has all, family, love, office romance (though it can't be real). It's a kind of rom com. It is engaging too.Was this review helpful to you?
Great story, great chemistry
Bai Lu and Dylan Wang have great chemistry in a well rounded plot that starts off with a slow burn but delivers a great story.FL is a financial reporter that is determined to get an interview with ML who is elusive and reluctant to be interviewed. After a while there is an undercurrent of mutual interest that morphs into something more.
Both actors really bring their characters to life in a believable way and their love story is supplemented by great acting from the other main and support actors. As their characters grow together they bring out the best in each . She is fun yet dedicated and he is powerful yet playful.
There is plenty of genuine and powerful emotion but this what I’ve come to expect from Bai Lu as she definitely makes whoever she acts opposite bring out their a-game
Rewatch? Absolutely

So entertaining Office romcom drama.
Only For Love is about a beautiful and smart but rather quirky reporter, Zheng Shuyi (Bai Lu), and a hotshot mysterious young CEO, Shi Yan (Dylan Wang), who requests to be interviewed by Shuyi to publicize the vision of his venture capital company to help startups achieve their full potential. Shuyi has just caught her boyfriend cheating on her with a girl she mistook for Shi Yan's niece. Her boyfriend breaks up with her for the girl who promised to help him with his career. With her pride shaken, Shuyi decides to flirt with Shi Yan, seemingly to get back at her ex-boyfriend and to allow her to conduct a series of interviews with the much sought after bachelor CEO. Their constant meetings lead to romance. But what would Shi Yan feel when he knows the truth about Shuyi's reasons for pursuing him? Shuyi is not the usual type of female lead in Chinese dramas. She is brilliant when it comes to work. Was this review helpful to you?
Smart, Slow-Burn Romance with Great Chemistry
If you love a slow-burn romance with strong characters, Only For Love is worth watching. The story is about two ambitious people – a brilliant reporter and a successful CEO – who meet through work, and their relationship grows step by step. It’s not a fluffy rom-com; it’s more about mutual respect, understanding, and how love can develop naturally between two equals. The main leads, Dylan Wang and Bai Lu, are the highlight of this drama. Their chemistry feels real – every glance and conversation between them is full of tension and warmth. What makes this drama stand out is how mature and healthy their relationship feels. They support each other’s dreams and treat each other as partners, which is refreshing to watch in a romance drama.
The pacing can feel slow at times, and there are some typical C-drama cliches, but the storytelling is beautiful, and the business and career elements make it more realistic. The side couples are fun to watch too, though not as engaging as the main leads.
If you enjoy slow, well-developed love stories with great acting and meaningful moments, this is a must-watch. Just be patient with the pace – it’s worth it.

Who despises... buys
Wow, he really makes you want him. It took a while for him to grant her an interview, then he continued to complicate her life, making her tutor his niece, rejecting her drafts... Oh, what a pain in the neck! But as the saying goes, he who despises, buys. When he finally gets to know her, he begins to appreciate her and become jealous of her. She's brilliant, talkative, good at her job... He becomes attentive to her needs, responds to her messages,...
Her friend's couple with his cousin is a beautiful pairing, but it's a shame she's pushing things a bit too far and acting like a bitch (he's already madly in love with her, there was no need to reject her kindness).
All those theories of conquest she dispenses to her friend, and she finds herself in this situation?
If her friend finds herself spending the end of the year at home alone, it's entirely her fault. Just like Sheng Shuyi who, during the romantic moment when he was declaring his love, loudly expressed a desire for work. He rightly backed away, thinking she was putting work before love and therefore before him. These two couples make it clear that being in love isn't enough if there's no right timing to be on the same level at the same time.
The niece who insists on approaching her teacher, no way! She seems like a stalker. Always asking him to have dinner together... how boring. But when she takes a step back and distances herself a bit, it becomes much more pleasant.
At work, I like these 3 young Musketeers who fight for their ideas and don't want to submit to the old guard.
How hard it is to keep all these secrets hidden! Her friend's honesty is questionable. He doesn't even tell her who he's seeing, he doesn't share anything with her, and he keeps everything a secret, yet he gives her advice about her love life!
She breaks up with him and then interviews the second suitor. What a brilliant idea (joke)! She says she cares about him and then always puts work first. I thought he'd never be able to forgive her, but apparently their love has overcome even the obstacle of misunderstanding.
