Light-hearted, fun and absolutely rewatchable Rom Com!

This is such a cute and easy-to-watch romcom — light-hearted, fun, and absolutely rewatchable. I genuinely fell in love with it! Sure, there are a few moments that could’ve been better, but hey, every show has room for improvement, right?

I actually came to this drama after watching Dylan in Love Between Fairy and Devil, and I have to say — I really enjoyed seeing him here. He brought a touch of DFQC’s badass energy but toned it down perfectly for a modern-day setting. It was such a nice dose of Dylan’s charm in a different role.

And of course, I’ve always been a fan of Bai Lu. Her performance here is solid as ever — confident, strong, and graceful. While I did miss the sweet chemistry between Dylan and Esther (from LBFAD), I think it’s important to remember that the dynamics are totally different. Bai Lu’s character is a modern, independent woman, while Esther’s Orchid was more whimsical and vulnerable — both equally lovable in their own ways.

All in all, I loved this drama. ? Don’t let the noise or mixed reviews stop you — give it a try and enjoy it for the heartwarming story it is!

Its beautiful and loved the romance between the ML and FL.

Only for Love delivers a touching story that combines modern romance with themes of ambition, and emotional resilience. The central love story is well-written, and the chemistry between the leads feels natural and heartfelt. The show succeeds in portraying the emotional struggles of balancing career and personal relationships, which makes the characters relatable and engaging. The best things here are it has all, family, love, office romance (though it can't be real). It's a kind of rom com. It is engaging too.

Great story, great chemistry

Bai Lu and Dylan Wang have great chemistry in a well rounded plot that starts off with a slow burn but delivers a great story.
FL is a financial reporter that is determined to get an interview with ML who is elusive and reluctant to be interviewed. After a while there is an undercurrent of mutual interest that morphs into something more.
Both actors really bring their characters to life in a believable way and their love story is supplemented by great acting from the other main and support actors. As their characters grow together they bring out the best in each . Sheis fun yet dedicated and he is powerful yet playful.
There is plenty of genuine and powerful emotion but this what I’ve come to expect from Bai Lu as she definitely makes whoever she acts opposite bring out their a-game
Rewatch? Absolutely

Nice acting, too many misunderstandings for the 2nd half of the show

I love this drama and was going to give it an 8 but deducted half a point cuz for the 2nd half of the drama, there are too many misunderstandings between the fl and ml.
Its a cute show overall tho.

So entertaining Office romcom drama.

Only For Love is about a beautiful and smart but rather quirky reporter, Zheng Shuyi (Bai Lu), and a hotshot mysterious young CEO, Shi Yan (Dylan Wang), who requests to be interviewed by Shuyi to publicize the vision of his venture capital company to help startups achieve their full potential. Shuyi has just caught her boyfriend cheating on her with a girl she mistook for Shi Yan's niece. Her boyfriend breaks up with her for the girl who promised to help him with his career. With her pride shaken, Shuyi decides to flirt with Shi Yan, seemingly to get back at her ex-boyfriend and to allow her to conduct a series of interviews with the much sought after bachelor CEO. Their constant meetings lead to romance. But what would Shi Yan feel when he knows the truth about Shuyi's reasons for pursuing him? Shuyi is not the usual type of female lead in Chinese dramas. She is brilliant when it comes to work.

Smart, Slow-Burn Romance with Great Chemistry

If you love a slow-burn romance with strong characters, Only For Love is worth watching. The story is about two ambitious people – a brilliant reporter and a successful CEO – who meet through work, and their relationship grows step by step. It’s not a fluffy rom-com; it’s more about mutual respect, understanding, and how love can develop naturally between two equals.

The main leads, Dylan Wang and Bai Lu, are the highlight of this drama. Their chemistry feels real – every glance and conversation between them is full of tension and warmth. What makes this drama stand out is how mature and healthy their relationship feels. They support each other’s dreams and treat each other as partners, which is refreshing to watch in a romance drama.

The pacing can feel slow at times, and there are some typical C-drama cliches, but the storytelling is beautiful, and the business and career elements make it more realistic. The side couples are fun to watch too, though not as engaging as the main leads.

If you enjoy slow, well-developed love stories with great acting and meaningful moments, this is a must-watch. Just be patient with the pace – it’s worth it.

DONT WASTE YOUR TIME WATCHING THIS SERIES

If red flags were leads that would be both the male and female lead and second male lead and second female lead. Nothing made sense, not the story, not the dragging plot, not the music, not the camera angle, not the editing, nothing about this series makes sense. The only reason there is one star given by me is for the third male and female lead story - niece and professor yu's story. Rest everything was rubbish.

Bai lu i know can act. I have seen her act and i usually love her acting. But in this series it was like i was watching some new actress trying acting, not bailu. The female lead to be appeared - desperate, spineless, lying, coward, a little gold diggerish, honestly appeared so so desperate for male lead's attention. Male lead was just so bland, had no personality. Only personality he had was being silent. The second and third male lead seem to had more character nuances than the main male lead. The progression of love made no sense. The placement of repeated phone calls to interrupt kisses - which happened like more than like 20 times in series - was so so annoying. The editing was very pathetic. What's with the camera man going for close up ajd far away shots for same scene?? That one kiss scene where male lead kissed fl while rescuing from her ex had a pink tinted background and fl make-up looking like she has not eaten for 20 days, - the make up, coloring of picture, the camera crew, the editing, the story line everything so so sucked.

Don't even get me started on the playboy playgirl second lead. They tested my patience.

The only thing worth about the series is the third main leads - ml's niece and professor yu. They were the only good thing in this disaterous drama.

Sweet and refreshing ⭑☂☁︎

It was so sweet and refreshing, the story is maybe not something new but how they portrayed the characters it was really something interesting and fun, the chemistry is so good and the visuals!! The visuals are insane also i loved the styling especially Bailu's clothes and styling, the pacing was okay like many cdramas with many eps, the good thing is the relationship of the six people every couple ad his own way to begin and deal with.
It was so good and the important thing is that the rewatch value is so high for me.

it's was confusing

i like both the actresses and actors. I like the 4 couple ship but they had barely any communication going in the relationship department. Also, they overuse the phone calls cause it always interrupt the romantic moments. I like Bai Lu and Dylan Wang but this drama was a horror show. It also stretched the plot to 36 eps the whole thing could have been done in half. The whole 36 eps were so long and hellish i couldn't enjoy the drama i had to skip here and there because i wanted to know how the drama would end. I like the ending but not the drama just one ep i liked out of all the eps and that was the ending.

A lil fun but frustrating watch but great cast!

The story is a bit cliché except the fact that for the first time I felt bad for the male lead and not the FL which was unique in a way since we're talking about a domineering CEO char here. I like the characterization of the ML he is very human like. Realistic. As for the female lead..... Well if it wasn't Bailu acting I'd really have hated her so much. I see her as a self centered and a selfish character. The thing is I would have let it go if she made sense sometimes but welp it is questionable how she is an actual journalist who are very much trained on reading the atmosphere and leading conversation?I would have let it go if like it's because she was nervous but still there were moments even a normal person would know what not to say and what to avoid.... Besides the ML and FL the support chars were a lil chaotic especially the bestie. I love Peiyao but this gotta be her worst character so far and no it's not about the advices she gave it's the lack of story behind the character that made it cringey to watch. I'm guessing a lot of the back story was cut due to editing but the scrap they left truly was so bad. The couple were so badly done. The second supporting couple were better but also questionable in a way like how he suddenly chifted his affection to the lil neice all of a sudden just because of her disappearing on him.... Like he's supposed to be the oldest in the mls so I was expecting a more mature relationship with him tho I'm glad that he didn't cling to the FL and become a rival. Anyways there was a lot of loopholes in the story also professional wise it was boring and uninteresting maybe cuz i watched many heavily focused dramas on work that this felt very poorly done. I have to also add that scenes couldve been done better as in quality wise? I dunno how explain it but the quality wasn't top notch. When I saw the cast I thought the drama would definitely be high quality I had a lot of expectations and while it was fine to watch it was still a little disappointing plus the many ads added I just knew it was prolly treated like those idol dramas made to get money rather than anything else. I feel like they might have rushed it's production as well.... I just feel bad for the cast cuz all of them are such amazing actors I've known from previous works they deserved better!
