highschool melodrama throwback to 20th century
melodrama high school love storyplot - older sister got heart stolen by some boy, but need go to USA to heal her heart disease.
younger sister promises her to find boy since she will go to same school and give information about him to older sister.
Sadly if you watch somebody for too long it may grew into something.
From plot I wrote it may seems like here will be some sister love wars etc but nah its just plot premise and story will mainly focus on love story of younger sister.
This drama got its nice moments.

Omg!!! bo ra n woon ho's story started and ended at the same time .....gosh! i aint prepared for this end...also im just happy by the fact that bo ra did get a closure and also she have come to know what has happened to Woon ho...also that video disc thing woon ho be in front her when ever she sees that...Damn!!!Joseph turned out to be an angel sent by god...Well its not the end we want but it does justify the title of the movie though , a warm ,fluffy , innocent movie with unexpected emotional climax
that line by woon ho when he says he wanna see bo ra the "21st century BO RA" 😭😭😭

YES, I CRIED.
Wanna cry unexpectedly? yes.Actually, I was spoiled of the storyline so I wasn't shocked anymore of what happened but still, I can't stop myself from crying. It's really different if someone left you without saying anything and because time doesn't stop for you, you just have to go on with life without them. This is a story that portrays how young people love. That not all the experience you had in love when you were young were naivety. I loved how the actors gave justice to the characters. It makes me want to experience that kind of love too. The cinematography is perfect too. Although the only thing I didn't like about the ending is that they didn't gave any details about how he dl3d but overall, I still loved it.

One of the best romantic movies
It's a high school love story. Heartwarming in the end. It shows the friendship of people. A really beautiful, cute, sweet, sad love story. It is not a romantic comedy type of movie. It shows the beauty and sadness of teenage love.It is one of the best romantic movies I have ever seen.

simple masterclass
il est des films comme ça que l’on commence un jour en se disant « je sais pas trop » et puis c’est juste une masterclass du début à la fin … histoire, cast, developpement, rebondissement, émotion, c’est un film qui parle de la vie, de l’amour, des emitions, de la perte, de la personne qui reste … passez un bon moment, passer du rire aux larmes, mais regardez le si vous êtes quand même émotionnellement solide , parce que vous garantie que vous n’allez sûrement pas rester de marbre à cette histoireWas this review helpful to you?
Just like the classic Kmovies
20th Century Girl (2022)This movie reminds me of classic Korean movies in the early 2000s like Ditto, The Classic, Lover's Concerto etc about friends, youth, falling in love, and sad endings. I kinda guessed that Bora got mixed up with who Hyunjin was, since she didnt have a picture and it was hard when there were no cellphone cameras back then. Watching the movie I thought Hyunjin dodnt look THAT handsome for Yeondoo to fall in love that quick and turns out I was right 🤣
I love the girls' friendship, they were willing to sacrifice or let go of love for the other person. My only comment is I wished they showed a little more of what really happened to Woonho, not just one scene with the younger brother. I thought if we were still in the 2000s we will get a full heartbreaking scene where he was supposed to fly to Seoul but had a car accident and they couldn't meet in the airport or a terminal illness he hid from Bora or any other tragic ending that will make people cry.

an emotional mustwatch
i have never cried more to a film. so beautiful and so raw. the ending hurt so bad that i almost wish i didn't watch it, but at the same time i'm so glad i did. i'm honestly at a loss for words.spoliers:
a lot of these reviews say they don't like the fact they we don't figure out what happens to poong woon-ho, and to that i disagree. i think it was very purposeful. we're almost left with that same empty feeling ba bo-ra likely felt. all these questions left unanswered, all this anxiety wondering why? it's likely exactly how one feels when the person they love over distance suddenly drops off the face of the earth and they have no reason as to why. and this is the reality for a lot of people, living their life with a question never answered. if the story were different and we did figure out why, i think so much wouldve had to be rewritten and changed. it would've removed so much of the emotional turmoil that the power of the unknown left us with. i'm uncomfortable, sad, and somehow warm after finishing this movie. i think that is what good media does to you. overall, i think it was done very well. and when it comes to the plot twist, i also think that was done very well. watching the whole movie i kept thinking kim yeon-du would die, and that would be the (predictable) tragedy. to my suprise it wasn't and that's when i knew i was glad to have not skipped this title.

Why does he have to die , interesting storyline, great movie , I love it and I cried , but I just wish their love was happily ever after but he had to die and they didn’t show us how he died or even say what happened to him 🥲😭😭 🥲🥲🥲🥲🥲😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭😭 I wish he was lost or something and there’s a part two of him regaining his memory and not him dying just like that , what’s the point then 🤷🏽♀️Was this review helpful to you?
The worst romantic movie I ever seen

Predictable
This movies was really sweet to start off with, but took a turn to being predictable in the end...I’m tired of all these types of shows that have the viewer invested in a love story that has misunderstandings. Oh, and the usual female lead is too nice to tell her best friend she likes the same guy, so she sacrifices her feelings. these story lines do get kind of boring and so cliché.
There is no message to convey, just bringing the formula of teenage love story that full of misunderstanding in for the actors to play. They try to make a twist but it's a cliché twist, so it's not a twist in the end since audience can guess it right beforehand.
The acting was not bad, the music honestly cant even remember it.
Overall: I did find this movie extremely boring and so predictable, if you have 2hours to waste with really nothing to do then I guess go ahead and watch it.

I only have one question here. HOW DARE YOU TO WASTE SUCH A TALENT AS ROH YOON SEO?
🔸️For two hours I've been watching good actresses playing fake friendship, fake love, and the most unconvincing crying ever. If it's unconvincing, it has to be a comedy, but it's far from that. Even the male characters were hopelessly bland, targeting the female audience. And I know, that this is not the actors' fault but the screenwriter's because in Our Blues Roh YoonSeo had a really great performance.🔸️Seriously, guys, for how long are you going to make budget-safe and nostalgia-selling movies? I see you were influenced by 25 21, but the screenplay there was originally crafted. 20th Century didn't even bother to shoot a couple of frames on a real film camera.
You can't fake nostalgia. Periodt.
