I really REALLY like this show

Other than the great casting, the show itself is just, muah, chef's kiss.

The emotions that are portrayed feel so real and is conveyed very well by the actors.

Other than that, it doesnt feel corny or copied like other shows can feel, it instead feels very unique and original (I know it's based on a webtoon, but ykwim)

Moreover the open ending left off so well to introduce season 2 even though I'm sad that Choi hyun wook will be in that season. I look forward to seeing more of this show and it's definetely a great and thrilling watch!

i literally loved jihoon and hyunwook here. my favourite duo omg, and the ost at the start? i loved it so much. the coma scene made me cry 😭 I love love love love this. it's difficult to comprehend how much i liked it, it was intense and omg jihoon's acting? hes my favourite now. i see pen different now after him omg, i don't think ive seen someone act as well as him. i could tell how he was feeling without him speaking a single word. beomseok got on my nerves and i had to remind myself that he's just a charcter and not real 😭 i understand where he came from but oh boy was it horrible, the most complex charcter. i really wanna know what happened to him at end???

Congratulations, You Picked the Wrong Quiet Kid

First and foremost, I do not condone school violence or bullying in any form. That said, Weak Hero Class 1 does an incredibly effective job of portraying how quickly bullying escalates when ignored, enabled, or mishandled by the systems meant to prevent it.

Yeon Si Eun is a quiet, academically focused student who prefers to stay out of trouble. Unfortunately, that makes him an easy target. He is smaller, physically weaker, and uninterested in fighting, so his bullies assume he will simply endure whatever they throw at him.

They are wrong.

The turning point comes during a mock exam when the bullies pressure O Beom Seok into placing a fentanyl patch on Si Eun’s neck, causing him to become ill during the test. That moment becomes the breaking point. Si Eun stops trying to ignore the situation and instead begins to analyze it.

And that’s where things get interesting.

He doesn’t become stronger physically—he becomes smarter. He studies patterns, timing, psychology, and environment, turning every weakness into a tool. Every confrontation feels tense because he is still physically vulnerable, which makes every small victory feel earned.

The friendship between Si Eun, Su Ho, and Beom Seok is where the emotional core of the story lies. At first, it feels like an unlikely trio forced together by circumstance, but it slowly becomes something real. Su Ho protects, Si Eun strategizes, and Beom Seok tries desperately to belong.

For a while, it works.

But this is Weak Hero, so stability was never going to last.

Beom Seok’s insecurity eventually fractures the group. His jealousy and need for validation push him toward the very people they were fighting against. It’s frustrating, painful, and strangely understandable all at once.

You don’t just hate his choices—you understand them, which makes them worse.

One of the strongest aspects of the show is that it refuses to simplify its characters. No one is purely good or purely evil. Some people are violent because they enjoy it, some because they’ve learned it’s survival, and some because they are desperate to be seen.

And then everything spirals.

The violence escalates, friendships collapse, and eventually a tragedy occurs that permanently changes Si Eun. By the end, he is no longer the same person who started the story. The quiet student who just wanted to study is gone.

What remains is someone shaped by everything he survived.

The show also deserves credit for never glamorizing violence. It is messy, painful, and consequences are always present. Every punch feels heavy, every decision carries weight, and every moment of silence feels like something worse is coming.

By the end, I was completely hooked. Eight episodes somehow delivered the emotional weight of a much longer series.

And then the final tragedy hit.

And everything shifted from “this is getting intense” to “I am emotionally unwell.”

My brain: WHY WOULD YOU DO THIS?
My emotions: absolutely not okay.
My snacks: casualties of war.

I finished the series angry, devastated, and fully invested in characters I was not emotionally prepared to care about this much.

And somehow… I immediately wanted more.

This was sooo good the actors played their characters well especially park ji hoon like when he slapped himself I felt it.

Beom seok was a prick with a inferiority complex who took out his family problems and his insecurities on others.

Si eun was a psycho and I loved it the look in his eyes was perfect to show how much of a psycho he is. At least he's a good friend who fought for hi friends unlike Beom seok

Soo ho is such a good friend who will do whatever it takes to protect his friends and I love that.

I'm convinced that the bullies had nothing to do with their lives so they bully kids whom they feel inferior to (most talking about yeong bin)

The only problem I have with this drama is that it is too short I need more soo I can protect my sanity. If the directors don't release a season 2 we gonna fight. I highly recommend this drama to ppl who like this kind of genre and those who don't like this kind of genre this series may be an opening to this genre

Even better the second time : powerful acting and unforgettable impact

I first watched Weak Hero Class 1 when it was airing, and I remember thinking it was really good. But to be honest, over time I kind of forgot the emotional impact it left on me, so I originally rated it 8.5.
After hearing that Season 2 was coming out, I decided to rewatch Season 1, and that’s when I realized how amazing this drama actually is. From the acting, story, production, to the cinematography, everything felt very well done and intentional. It gave me the same strong feelings again, and even deeper this time. That’s why I changed my rating to 9.5.
One thing that really surprised me was the acting. Before watching it for the first time, I didn’t expect much because some of the actors were still relatively new. But they completely exceeded my expectations. You can really feel that they put their heart into their roles, and it made the story much more impactful and believable.
Overall, this drama is intense, emotional, and very memorable. It’s one of those dramas that becomes even better when you rewatch it.

Best I've seen

I didnt see this until 2023 and I think this is my favorite so far. Binged it in one because I could not wait to see what would happen the next episode.

Park Ji Hoon is incredible in this series. He has such an amazingly expressive face, especially his eyes. He absolutely carries it and the reason I also then watched 'from a distance spring is green.'

The reluctant between Si Eun, Soo Ho and Beom Seok is wonderful, they have great chemistry and their acting is very strong in this series. Soo Ho brings some much needed comic relief at times. It makes the heartbreak even worse for what happens in the end. The last two episodes are an emotional rollercoaster and I cried like a baby.

Absolutely worth the watch, just keep tissues at hand.

Our world in a Kdrama!

Ten stars in some eyes stands perfect. Nothing is perfect in this
world, this show and the characters story showed us that better
than anyone ever could.
it showed that even if you have something people want it doesn't
mean you're happy. it doesn't mean you have the happiness which
people should be glad to have.

being silent doesn't mean you accept. accept all the things that are wrong in our world, in the fictional world nor the universe.

The next part of the text might be a little spoiler.. or not I am not sure, I wouldn't say it does but if it does I WArned you..

Beom (one of the characters) you know i hated you. I hate you, even though I understood
you, I understood you so well that it hurt. I watched as you burned
inside but instead of you extinguishing that fire you let it escape
and burn all those around you.
I know sometimes it easier to become the monster that you once
feared and ran away from . And I believe that humans are not born
bad, bad persons are born when life beats them up until they can't
see clear and they have nothing to feel. I don't want to believe in
monsters of birth but Beom still I stopped believing in you. I know
just you're lost. The darkness broke all the lights on the path you
chose, but I really hope you can light them again. .

It's true that the reckless violence in this story, it's not right and
seeing it makes me even more sad because our worlds in reality is
quite similar.
People shed blood until the other gives up. Some are ready to bleed 'till the other is nothing but a memory and some burned dust.

When you protect someone with the pounces you give and take it's blurs the line of wrong and right, and it's true nothing is just black and white. That's why I loved watching this show, thinking about
how the things the characters did were rightful or how they were
just so wrong and that why they broke me.

In the end I loved it. This was a little much to my brain and heart
because I cried and cursed so much because of certain
character(s) ... I am not pointing fingers here. okay!

If you like good acting,
a good story where the plot isn't too hard to follow
violence with really amazing fighting scenes
and maybe hating some characters and choosing sides I say watch
this series.... if you don't like those things.. then still watch it
watch it for Park Ji Hoon

this series has blown my mind!!

I went into this show for a normal korean highschool genre but what I got is way beyond I could have imagine. I directly watched it without synopsis and trailer and yes it has just blown my mind.
Many K dramas have touched the subject of bullying but none were like this.
This show has gone to the depth of the reality. This shows depicts what happen when one does not give in to the bullying. What happens when one actually fights back.
This show puts forward two aspects of friendship. The one where you can give your life for your friend. And the one where you can also take life of your friend.
