Good rom-com
After a long time, I watched such a refreshing rom-com. My Boss is sweet, light, and genuinely enjoyable. The ML and FL share lovely chemistry that makes every scene feel natural and heartwarming. The story is simple but engaging, perfect for a relaxing binge. It may be predictable at times, but its cozy vibe and cute romance make it totally worth watching. I truly hope to watch more such feel-good rom-coms in the future. Highly recommended for rom-com lovers! A truly comforting watch. 💕❤️😘Was this review helpful to you?
The wonderful C-Drama
The story of Qian Heng and Cheng Yao is my PREFERRED story love ❤️. I would like more collaborations with Chen Xing Xu and Zhang Ruo Nan, they are so cute together 😍.I loved the whole series, the main actors, the story and the music.
One important thing that impressed me was the chemistry between Chen Xing Xu & Zhang Ruo Nan, as they make a wonderful couple in this series.
Unfortunately 😔, many beautiful scenes from the series were cut during editing, but those scenes would have created a phenomenal series.
I would like season 2 of "My Boss" ❤️🇲🇩.

Feel-good drama
I am having a mixed feeling about this drama. I am fairly new to Chinese Dramas ,which is why it is quite hard for me to stick to dramas with many (36 too many) episodes. I guess I have no patience for it. The first 15 episodes were cute and fun to watch. Even the ML is starting to warm up to FL. The way he looks at her can melt any other girls into puddles. The chemistry is definitely "chemistrying" for both leads but the FL....Oh god how dense can she be? Can't believe the writer is portraying the FL, who is supposed to be a lawyer but she is acting like a doormat to her ML/boss all the time. She is so dumb at getting the signals the ML is so desperately trying to send to her. And don't get me started on the ML. He is very good looking (probably why I am tolerating this drama) but he is acting like an inexperienced school boy in love. His lines can be cringrey and childish at times. Not cool at all for a so called successful 30 yo lawyer. If the drama keeps on dragging back and forth, without any confession from either of them anytime soon, God help me I will flip the table. It's starting to get on my nerves! The lesson to be learned from this drama: BE HONEST AND CLEAR ABOUT YOUR FEELINGS ALREADY!!! or else we'll be pulling our hair out going around in circles up untill the last episode.

I would describe this drama as enjoyable. For most of the time, I had a really good time watching it — the often downright silly humor genuinely made me laugh. I also view the legal storyline positively. Overall, I rate the whole series well, but some of the resolutions didn’t quite sit right with me. As time went on, there were unfortunately moments when the drama became a bit boring and felt somewhat monotonous.I’ll admit, I like office romances, so I was positively inclined from the start, and for the most part, the relationship between the main couple — Cheng Yao and Qian Heng — met my expectations. I liked the contrast between the loud, open, and slightly crazy Yao and the closed-off, cold Qian. I enjoyed the development of their relationship, as well as their growth as individuals. She grew thanks to him and became a better lawyer, while he started to open up, became warmer, and learned to treat people around him better. I found it funny and loved how he kept justifying every act of care toward her in his head as part of his duties as a boss. Over time, they became more and more adorable, and it was nice to watch them with a smile. However, once they got into a relationship, their dynamic sometimes felt stagnant and, at times, monotonous — work, go home, she cooks for him, they eat, go to sleep. I think some of the potential was slightly wasted. It was definitely more interesting to watch them when they went out somewhere, and there were far too few such moments. Toward the end, they tried to introduce something more engaging with a conflict. But that conflict felt like a sudden regression to the beginning of their relationship. Qian, who had previously believed in her abilities and potential, suddenly became someone who didn’t believe in her at all, and I personally didn’t like that — it slightly disrupted my perception of their relationship. The wedding at the end felt like a rushed afterthought — it could hardly have been done in a more careless way, especially considering that she actually wanted that wedding, and it was one of the reasons behind their argument.
I see the legal storyline as a strong point. I enjoyed it and it didn’t really bore me. I loved the second boss — Wu Jun — as well as the trio of main employees, who made me laugh many times. Overall, I view their presence on screen very positively and I can’t say a bad word about them. That said, I did miss one key element in this storyline — Qian Heng losing a case. From the very beginning, he was portrayed as someone who never loses, and in the end, he really didn’t lose anything. I’ll also pause here to mention the resolution of Liang Yi Ran’s storyline, which I didn’t like either. I understand the idea of empathy, but in this case, I just don’t buy it. She broke the law and faced no consequences because Wu Jun convinced himself they were college friends and decided to give her a chance. At least she could be seen as a cunning, antagonistic character. I see Deng Ming differently — in theory, he was worse than her, but in practice, watching and listening to him, he felt like a pushover and a clown. For most of the time (despite his disgusting actions), I couldn’t take him seriously, and to this day I don’t understand how he managed to reach such a high position. I also felt that we were missing a proper depiction of the consequences of his actions at the end. I wanted to see him lose everything, but unfortunately, I have to imagine that myself.
Another strong point for me was the second couple — Cheng Xi and Wu Jun. I think their story was, at times, even more interesting than that of the main couple, and I believe they deserved much more screen time than they got. For example, the moment when they actually got together was completely skipped.

Grumpy/Sunshine with amazing side characters!
I turned this on after watching Love Between Lines and turned it off… I wasn’t ready for this drama. it’s definitely one you have to be in the mood for!when I finally turned it back on, I was pleasantly surprised at how close to perfect this rom com was. I couldn’t even tell you why it wasn’t perfect, so… I might have to change the rating😝
there was a scene that was hard to watch, but it gets resolved and there are happy endings for everyone that deserved it. what should I watch next!?!?!?!

the couple deserved more than 8.0 but...
I really really enjoyed this drama, and the main couple and its plot are really nice. However, the subplots during the first half of the show made me want to skip a lot of scenes. And its not the side characters fault (i liked all the side couples), but the plot by itself.... From the middle to the end of the show i felt that those subplots evolved to a steady rhythm and became more enjoyable. IJust feld it was too slow and tiresome until, idk, epi20. But AGAIN: the show is a good one and the couple create a really healthy relationship. if not the slow rhythm from the first half i think i would give a 8.5 score. Was this review helpful to you?
another fluffy chinese romcom
Very timeless romance, and i say it not as a compliment... It's certainly not modern enough for being aired in 2024! I enjoyed it without skipping much, in-between other dramas, BUT it's totally NOT something you can take seriously. The ML and FL look good and are funny enough for a light-hearted series, the topic is there, decent job etc.Packed with tropes though, to the point that some are bothersome. What chances are that the young aspiring FL lawyer gets to share "by accident" a rent house with her famous ML boss? Also it comes out that their parents are ex-colleagues? Add to this that everyone - and i mean EVERYONE - in this drama is young and single? Except for the two pairs of parents, of course. Fake problems appear too - the ML is overprotective while the FL is too upright etc. Both sisters suffer from being called LadyBoss... REALLY?? Can i suffer with you??
My personal objection is also to the MANY ENDLESS outfits the FL is wearing... How come a young aspiring average lawyer can afford to be sooo sooo fashionable? And another personal objection to chinese dramas - everyone looks ANOREXIC, to the point that the FL is described as weighing 40 kg to a height of 1.66m!! Come again??
Just put your brain at rest and enjoy!

So so
it’s an okay series for me, but I’ve been skipping a bit on some scenes, Chemisty is okay too. But plot’s nothing new. if you just want something to enjoy this is an okay series. it’s not the kind that would pull you in and make you feel different emotions & would make you want to finish the whole thing without skipping. overall it’s bearable and sometimes enjoyable, The ML looks good and very manly not your typical skinny tall ML. The FL is cute but I think a straight or wavy hair would look better on her, her curly long hair felt so heavy whenever I see her heheheWas this review helpful to you?
ML is says sorry to FL
Ml have to do everything to make Fl feel not inferior... Which is wrong... It her problem... It that type drama where ml had to solve everything in relationship.. and fl have to just be there in relationship .. and ml is there to say sorry only.........

The Ml and Fl are soo annoying
Firstly, the female lead has no back bone. She just let the ml bully her the entire show. Secondly, the mail lead he was so rude. The entire show he treated her terribly and i didn't even want them together. I didn't even see any character development. He was just rude and bratty with anger issues. Was this review helpful to you?

Watch this for 2 of our main lead Chen Xing Xu & Zhang Ruo Nan. But in the end more like the 2nd couple, Cheng Xi (CX) & Wu Jun (WJ).Quite confuse what score to give to this drama. Quite bored in the middle, quite confuse with all the legal stuff, but also quite entertained with several scene. So just settle with 7 in the end.
The story begin with our FL, Cheng Yao (CY), who quit her job due to keep getting unimportant task from her old job. Like have to company her boss in various meeting & drinking party. CY got new job & must move to new place & by 'coincidence' move to the same flat with the ML, Qian Heng (QH), which also turn out to be her new boss.
The story rolled after that not so strange for us. CY did her job wonderfully & make QH fall in love with her & of course as usual CY also fall in love with her amazing boss....
Oh i forgot to mention we also have the classic problem... QH happen to be insomniac & only CY can put him to sleep. Unfortunately later on they kinda forget about this problem. Or u may say they 'cure it'. Never really mention in the first place how QH have problem with it, just a few brief moment about it, really hope they elaborated more about this....
Ok. That's briefly about our drama. Now what I like & don't like about this drama. What I like first:
+ The good chemistry between Zhang Ruo Nan & Chen Xing Xu. Not saying this is the best chemistry for them, but they quite compatible.
+ The 'stupid' QH. Sometimes it just funny to see how stupid man when comes to relationships.
+ The second couple Cheng Xi (CX) & Wu Jun (WJ). As I stated before, I more like their story. They have more steady story to develop, their story also more logic & overall just more realistic that our main couple.
+ The stupid Bao Rui (BR). Haha... This guy is so stupid & cute. He can't take a slight hidden gesture, even a big reveal, like when Tan Ying & Yu Fei already tell him about their relationship, BR still take it as a joke....
+ The way QH learn about how to see CY in the equal level with him in the end. This actually that bump the score of this drama a little bit more for me.... Yeah quite hate him & frustrated with him at first when he still didn't understand when CY told him that QH never really put his shoes in her feet. But all turn out good in the end.
+ Strong opinionated FL. CY looked like soft woman from the outside, she didn't talk much. But she had several unwavering opinion, that in the end also make QH have softer heart & new understanding about human relationships.
Now what I don't like:
- The stupid & slow QH. Yeah although he's a little bit cute when he need to search every little thing on Baidu. But it really frustrated me when he didn't want to acknowledge his feeling for CY. And the way he get jealous over little things also annoyed me...
- The legal term that this drama use. Sometimes it just bored me & make me confuse even. Maybe cause it just slightly different then my country...
- the unnecessary love rival. Ugh... I already so happy when they don't have love rival in the beginning till middle of the drama. But when suddenly they threw Liang Yi Ran it made me slightly grumble
- This drama gave slight pic that man should protect their woman, and woman can't do much without man protection. Yeah that changes in the end. And I hope it enough to put understanding into woman & man who watch this drama.
Overall this quite good drama to watch

Not worth watching for a 36 episode Drama
This is my first ever online review of a any drama and it is so for a reason. The last 7-8 episodes are absolute blunders, felt like the writer just gave up. I'll give my reasons below:1) Felt like FL is not in love, its just a fling.
2) The very strong shown ML proven wrong as if his all the work experience didn't count at all.
3) Only the ML is making an effort to keep the relationship afloat.
4) FL felt very prejudiced and proud as if she surpassed the ML in careers.
