The Drama is so perfectly my taste who like suspense genre
The drama, the storyline, the pace, the suspense, the actors and actresses, the cinematography, the music, everyone's acting is so natural, and everything is just on point... I like this drama so much and can't wait for next episodes ... This drama is so exciting and addictive, everyday I'm waiting for 6PM to watch this drama. I never been this enthusiast for a drama. This Drama is just perfectly my taste who like suspense genre... And especially because I've been a fan of Dilraba Dilmurat for a long time... Idk why people don't like the dark genre. The way idk either why I don't like the romance genre... I just kinda like romance only if it's a side story, not the focus of the plot... Eh, it just feels so cringey for me to watch lovey-dovey thingy 🤢 I like Reba, but I barely finish her full romance drama... The long Ballad is the only thing (her contained romance drama) I ever finish, a light romance is fine, I hope I can finish this 1 too hehe... Give it a chance to watch for few episodes and you'll addicted to watch next episodes!!!Was this review helpful to you?

Mesmerizing sceneries, storyline and casts
The thing I liked the most about this drama is the mystery behind the transformation of the earth fiends into human beings, and I find it amusing how they learn how to imitate human characteristics by living with them under close kinship. Secondly, the action part in the series was really thrilling as we got to see the peak of the war between the humanoid fiends and the humans, which, in my opinion, is very worth it. Thrilling, the cast is well selected as it has been a while since I've watched Dilraba engage in action series like the long ballad and Chen Xing Xu as well. The actress I'm fanning over is Zhang Li, as her acting skills and the way she carries herself in the series have really captivated me. She's so pretty, and I can't just stop admiring her despite her playing the villain. This is my first time watching her drama, and I'm really amazed. However, I feel like the plot on the fiends should have been expanded, as it has an even greater potential to be developed further.
Overall, I recommend this series as it has a great thriller and mystery plotline.

Not your normal drama!
Love on the Turquoise Land is a captivating Chinese drama that blends romance, historical intrigue, where actors showcase gorgeous visuals. This is not for the faint of heart though. The drama pulls viewers into a roller coaster of emotions, cultural differences, and complex relationships and beliefs. One of the most striking features of this drama is its cinematography. It has the feel of a real movie. Dilraba and Chen Xingxu are bursting with chemistry on first few episodes. I specifically love their first scene on her bedroom.Im looking forward how the rest of the story goes.

A Visually Stunning Drama with a Few Weak Spots
As a fan of this genre, I love this drama. The cinematography is soooo good, it gives Western series vibes. The lighting, makeup, outfits, angles, action, romance, everything is perfect.Dilraba and Chen Xingxu are really suitable for this drama. They're so beautiful, and their features look so good together. Their chemistry is also good, and the romance is just perfect for the drama. So I don't get why some people say the drama is too focused on their romance, because it's not. And the way they fall in love is also not out of nowhere. If you go through danger together several times and the other person is also attractive, I think you're bound to have some feelings.
The pace is just right, it doesn't drag on but is also not rushed (except the ending). It makes me feel curious about what happens next and eager to watch the next episode.
I really like their fight in the earlier episodes. That was so hot. And I love their villains, Aunt Lin and Xiong Hei. Aunt Lin really gives you an eerie feeling while also being gorgeous at the same time.
This drama isn't without flaws. The good guy side seems useless, especially compared to the villain side. Some people who read the novel said that in the novel they're not that useless. And some things aren't explained clearly in the drama, but I can get past that since they don't really impact the drama overall. I can still enjoy it. Probably because they have to fit everything into 32 episodes.
The CGI could be better for the monster. Then the final battle feels rushed, I kinda expected more.
It's still very enjoyable to watch.

What I loved most was how the romance was woven into the tension. The love story didn’t feel forced or rushed — it grew naturally alongside the suspense, making every emotional moment feel more intense. There was always this sense of danger and uncertainty in the background, which made the connection between the leads feel even stronger.
The chemistry between the leads worked really well, and I loved how their relationship developed through trust, shared struggles, and emotional vulnerability. It wasn’t just about romance; it was about surviving together, understanding each other, and choosing love despite everything happening around them.

The best drama of 2025
This drama is the best...It's underated gem💎 💎...
1. It is fresh to watch a modern cdrama with this new plot.
2. The episodes are well together put with no over exaggerated plot.
3. The romance between the leads it's slow burn, funny, and aesthetically pleasing.
4. There is no such misunderstanding plot, which makes it best. Hence no overrated problems.
5. The story solely Focus on the main plot, with important side characters.
6. The female lead is the best, this story is entirely on her. Dilraba justified the role.
7. The male lead is such a green flag character, and well put together.
8. And their chemistry is so hot and thrilling.
9. The action scenes, the direction, cinematography and the production is of top notch quality. Perfectly done.
10. The villians are crazy, such morally grey characters, with real emotions and totally justified.
11. Everyone is just so asthetically hot. Loved the outfits, sets and music. Loved it.
Only one thing is not upto mark is, that main villian is killed easily, one of side characters death was not justified. There are lot of unanswered questions, and vaugely the mystery is solved. Rest all is upto mark.
Loved it, will watch it again and again.
And you will be impressed with scene in Episode 30. Best scene in the drama.

Action scenes never quite land; they start promising and fizzle out as the series wears on. The early sequences feel cool, but soon settle into mediocrity. Cinematography is the one consistently redeeming trait—beautiful to look at and probably what kept me watching until episode 7. The series had immense potential, yet it fails to meet expectations or justify its tonal shifts.
I hope future Chinese genre output signals a shift toward more compelling characterizations that deserve rooting for. If the lead’s idea of “freedom” is to run away, that approach feels superficial and unsatisfying. It’s a shame, because with stronger writing, this could have been a standout—but as is, it doesn’t meet the bar.

Overly mysterious dulls it
The story is good and the acting is excellent but Chinese drama seems to try too hard on every aspect. In this case, it's a simple vampire/zombie style story, never going to be a great work of art, yet the editor tried too hard on making everything such a big mystery at every step that it's very difficult to keep up. Why don't they just make it an enjoyable entertaining product which is what it can only ever achieve being this style of story, but they made it so complex and repetitive that I gave up at episode 15 when it got too draggyIt would have been good to just make it 20-22epsodes. Don't try too hard, it's not art, just an exciting drama

Slow, disjointed and quite depressing
I tried watching this C drama because of my favorite actors Chen Xing Xu and Dilraba Dilmurat. It was a disappointment at the start as I barely recognized Dilraba Dilmurat, in fact if her name wasn't on the casting list, I would not have recognized her at all. Is it just me or something happened to her face? She looks extremely skinny and appears that she may have had some work done on her face that resulted in a somewhat unnatural look that kind of froze her face not allowing any emotions to show. What a shame as she was one of the best young talent/actress around. As for the movie, the storyline is not very original, somewhat familiar, pretty close to the movie the "Alien" Also the directorial style seems to resemble quite a lot of M Night Shyamalan's directing style, dark, mysterious, spooky in slow motion, disjointed scenes etc. however, this one, really didn't hit the right effect for the audience. The cast was really good, playing their part well but it was really hard to imagine a rag tag bunch of people as heroic, talented hunters with ancient fighting skills and teachings. Most of the action scenes were truly amateurish, disorganized and boring.
I really, really loved the soundtrack and music as well as the beautiful scenery/photography. However, I honestly can't continue watching this slow mo, depressing, disjointed movie. Some of the scenes that meant to look "artsy" unfortunately came out as plain boring instead. Sorry, I had high hopes for this movie but won't be putting it on my watchlist.

The monster is too scary
the story was very interesting in the early episodes 1–4, but I felt a bit disappointed when I found out that the monsters they were fighting were bird-like creatures, and the visuals are still very poor for a drama made in recent years. what’s even stranger is the weapons used by the guards — hammers, small knives, and whips — which feel completely unsuitable for their enemies. i actually found it a bit ridiculous, since bows and arrows would have made much more sense. i’m still hoping for some kind of surprise monster, because so far I’ve only reached episode 7, and I’m curious about how they will eventually transformWas this review helpful to you?
